Location. The girl on reception with dark hair was lovely and very helpful
Room could have been cleaned better. Could do with some redecoration. Car park was filled with work vans
Friendly staff with a great atmosphere..good facilities... good area ...good food ... reasonably priced 🥰
Room on the smaller side but still a great hotel
Bathroom was super tiny which wasn't clear on the website.
If you need to be in Giffnock or local to Giffnock then the location is good.
The Hotel room was very tired looking, quiet small but more importantly very dirty. It needed a good clean and certain things like the carpets and furniture needed a deep clean or replacing. Thick dust was around the bedside cabinets and Tv area and the bathroom was tiny. It looked run down and shabby At over £209 for 1 night we felt is was exceptional poor value for the money. We lived in Giffnock for 15 years until very recently and know the bar and restaurant is fabulous for food, atmosphere and staff service but the hotel room we were allocated sadly let the property down.
The staff were amazing and so friendly!
The bed was a little small and uncomfortable
Lovely spotless hotel
Thought it was all good
Staff were great.
Storage could have been better.
Staff where very helpful and helped accommodate our special needs, holding on too our key at reception and other needs.
Good a la carte breakfast. hotel well located. good bar/restaurant, also good selection of restaurants /coffee shops / shops close by.
First morning I had a full breakfast was lovely but to big for me I didn’t realise I could have a smaller one never thought to ask I just read the menu . I have never stayed anywhere on my own before but felt very comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
Good location
A bit tired
Breakfast was excellent - really creamy fresh yoghurt with berries delicious!! (had eggs and oat cakes, coffee etc)
No air conditioning in the hotel - due to heat wave made it quite difficult Otherwise, everything really good
Location. Restaurant.
location in dining room which was pleasant. In the past a cooked option was available. No longer offered. cereal etc was adequate
Carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs could have been problematic for some. As a rule, it appears that the staff are prepared to assist
Great location. Very good breakfast and very accommodating staff. Room small but comfortable and we enjoyed the bath/shower.
Limited places for charges devices. The staff said if we go again to ask for an adaptor.
The location was great and enjoyed the beer garden

Lovely room. Very comfortable. And the food in the bar / restaurant was delicious.
Location is very good. My room was clean and very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Better quality tea and coffee selection in my room than I expected with the occasional extra treat of a Tunnock's teacake ! Overall a very nice ambience.
Breakfast service was a bit inconsistent, although the full cooked Scottish breakfast is truly a feast and highly recommended. My bathroom was a bit cramped, but this was mostly due to a superb shower unit, so again mitigation. There was no note of a WiFi password anywhere in the hotel or my room and my phone did not register a "guest network" at all so looks like no WiFi. My room was not disturbed by the busy restaurant (it was at the other end of the building ) but there was a beer garden below my room which could have been noisy on a warm summer's night, but I stayed in July and it is Scotland, therefore not an issue . This is a really good hotel with much to commend it but I was left with the impression that the hotel part ( which is maybe only 10 rooms) was a bit of an "add-on" to the main business, i.e. the restaurant.
The shower was large and the shower head was high enough for me to stand under. Being 6ft 5 that's an issue in some places. Comfy bed and a large room. Friendly staff.
The breakfast was cooked well, but it was a little light for a full Scottish. A single sausage, bacon, etc, is not how it's done. Also, access to more coffee was never mentioned. I didn't know whether to help myself or not and I wasn't asked after the 1st poor either.
Near the wedding venue.
No temperature control
After a four-hour journey with my 11-year-old daughter to attend a gig in Glasgow, we arrived at the hotel and encountered a minor issue due to an error with Booking.com. Chris immediately stepped in and looked after us brilliantly. He invited us to the bar and kindly offered complimentary drinks while he worked to resolve the situation, something that was especially appreciated after travelling on one of the hottest days of the year. Although the issue was not the hotel’s fault, Chris handled everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. He went above and beyond to ensure the problem was resolved quickly and that our stay remained enjoyable and stress free. Thanks to his efforts, what could have been a frustrating experience turned into a truly memorable one. A heartfelt thank you to Chris for such outstanding customer service, we are incredibly grateful and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Stephen & Daisy
The hotel was beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful, food was actually very good and breakfast in the morning didn’t disappoint. lovely village location near train routes, and easy access to Glasgow Centre. I would definitely stay again.
Only gripe was the room was warm, but it was middle of a heat wave and I don’t expect the hotel to air con so not their fault.
There for the Scotland game. Having been charged 10 pound a ticket, they didn’t remove anyone who didn’t have one resulting in poor seats, did not offer us the free drink from the ticket and refused to guarantee our seat when the week before they’d said it would be ours due to an early booking. Really poor service all round.
Location was good. But I do not usually eat breakfast so unable to comnent .
Nothing
Great location on the south side, handy for various pubs and restaurants if you want to get out and about. Short walk to railway station.
Das sehr freundliche Personal und der Pub, der mit zum Hotel gehört.
Wir hatten Zimmer 5 und der Abzugskamin der Küche lag direkt neben dem Fenster. Man wusste also immer, was gerade gekocht wird…..-;) PS: Das Badezimmer ist schon arg eng.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
we came for a wedding which was in a hotel close by so location was perfect.
Shower room very tight for space.
La habitación era cómoda y acogedora. La acogida en la recepción y la atención en el desayuno.
Location to the venue we were going to
Small cramped bathroom
Breakfast was excellent, well cooked hot, proper Scottish breakfast, porridge was just to my liking couldn't manage the toast, too full, the girls who worked there worked very hard with long hours, i highly recommend this hotel
Nothing keep it as it is
There were a couple of oversights in our room when we arrived (insufficient towels, TV not working) but all immediately sorted out in the friendliest of manners and we then had a lovely meal in the restaurant and delicious freshly prepared breakfast the following morning
The cleaning in parts of our room was not as thorough as it c/should have been
The staff were delightfully helpful
Food was amazing here! I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a quality, fair price and brilliant place to eat. Service is amazing and the hotel is even better.
Wonderful staff, really friendly. Very clean and comfortable
Nothing bad to report for the money
Staff very friendly and helpful.
There wasn't anything.
never tried the breakfast when we left. location was good as if was close to the train station and had plenty of food options around.
toilet was detaching from the floor, shower didn't stay in holder unless at a certain angle, toilet was cramped with us touching the wall with our knees. bed wasnt as comfortable as would have liked so didn't get the best sleep.
Welcoming and nice clean room and nice bar facilities.
Very good accommodation
Nothing
the staff were super friendly, the breakfasts were huge so I could never finish but good.
not enough plugs in the room, especially none near the bed.
Location excellent, staff friendly and bar/restaurant very good.
Car parking facility although prepared to move staff cars if necessary.
Area was great and the bar and grill did not affect the quiet bedroom. The staff were very friendly
Size of ensuite was quite small
I've stayed here many times and certainly recommend the hotel. But be aware there are only 8 rooms, which are fairly basic by 2026 standards, and there is no lift. The hotel is also getting quite pricey for what is offered. However, it is very well located right in the middle of Giffnock Village and the staff are always very friendly. It can get a bit noisy if there is a function on, especially people who are slightly tipsy having an argument in the road outside at 1230 am as happened on this visit!
Staff were absolutely brilliant, very friendly and the breakfast was so nice.
The shower room was absolutely tiny the bed wasn't good, old sprung mattress and a small double . The staff were lovely though
Toppen
The staff were excellent very polite Bed was extremely comfortable Food was amazing
The location surprised me was expecting a country manor out the way but didn't ruin the experience
Breakfast was good. Beer garden looked great.

Just great all round
The building is amazing
The hotel is well located and has free parking at the back. We had an excellent lunch in the restaurant and breakfast was very good too. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We had asked for twin beds but told there were none available when we checked in. Our small room had a queen bed which was comfortable enough but too small and there was no chair to sit on. The en suite bathroom was tiny and it very awkward to use. The worst aspect was there was a noisy party happening downstairs and when it was still going on at midnight, my partner had to go down to ask when it was finishing so we could get some sleep. We expected more for £150 and to have somewhere to sit other than the bed as well as get a peaceful night’s sleep.
Spent one night at the hotel after our car broke down. The service from staff was excellent. Very clean room. Great vegetarian breakfast with super helpful service. Excellent value after arriving at reception without a booking.
Quality period hotel with excellent facilities and great staff.
We had a lovely corner room and only minor criticism was the size of en-suite facilities…very small.
Breakfast was fabulous as were the staff and room was nice enough.
Couldn’t get a parking space at hotel and enquired if they had spaces for residents but told no. Not ideal to park a mile down the road and have to walk. Maybe spaces could be allocated for residents in future
I stayed overnight at the orchard park hotel giffnock last week. A nice hotel with lovely food should you wish to sit in the bar area of this hotel. I had a basic double room which was lovely the only fault about my room which I mentioned to the management was I did not expect to find the radiator hidden behind my bed as the heat will not circulate around the room. The breakfast area was very cold no heating was on there as far I know. I found the breakfast menu very limited. I certainly will not be staying here again .
The staff couldn't have done enough, they were really lovely and made our stay. The facilities are excellent, clean and spacious. Location is great - close to a train station or we got a taxi into Glasgow for around £17.
Nice building and the area was lovely, also staff were friendly. Good breakfast.
Noice from function downstairs was very loud, also road noise was bad. Sofa bed was the worst I have experienced, main bed was OK.
Room was nice however the shower was very bad. Breakfast was good but very slow services.
Quality of the shower was poor and speed of service in the morning foe breakfast was slow and had to chase staff up
I had a stunning meal with my friend. The service was amazing,a great team Jen,Molly and Cat who run a good ship.Lovely atmosphere as well.
Location well placed for shawllsnds Staff very good
Nothing
Nice friendly staff Clean comfy room and beds Nice bar/restaurant
Food/drinks a bit expensive
I'd stay again, the hotel is quiet, clean, small and cosy, with friendly staff and a great chef. Tea and coffee in rooms with a kettle and hairdryer. Rooms are small but comfortable. Bathrooms are tiny and could do with fresh paint and grouting. Toiletries are very basic and toilet paper is wafer thin - buy your own from Sainsburys across the road. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around: I recommend Pane e Vino. On a small street with shops, gym 5 minutes walk away, very convenient for amenities. The hotel bar and grille is handy. I was able to work in the quiet breakfast room when it was empty. The wifi is good. Avoid the hotel car park at all costs! The car park is tiny, it isn't actually private despite the privacy notices, anyone can park there as there is no CCTV and no monitoring. Someone drove into my Porsche and caused a lot of damage, they didn't leave a note, the hotel staff weren't bothered, and without any CCTV, I've a nice big repair bill to pay. I was very fortunate that my car was actually driveable and I could get home. I'd strongly recommend you don't use this car park but park on the street. A very disappointing end to an otherwise nice stay.
It was an excellent property
It was very clean and staff were lovely
Breakfast was very good, staff all friendly and helpful. Location suited us very well also. The room was comfortable and clean.
The ensuite bathroom was terrible. Too small and cramped.
Yes, I would recommend the OP, staff are all lovely and friendly. Best scrambled eggs ever!!
Our shower room was super tiny, shower head could do with being replaced.
It was ok
Wow! Greeted by a beautiful smiling staff member and shown to our table. Service from start to finish was tremendous. Definitely will be visiting again in near future.
Comfortable stay. Very quiet room considering above very busy pub. Good breakfast. Very nice person served breakfast and spoke to us about our trip. Great Italian delicatessen and restaurant just round the corner.
Shower over bath which is problematic for older people. No hand rails to hang onto when climbing out of bath. No fridge. Location not central so price tag of £143 on the more expensive side.
Family run hotel. Very helpful friendly staff.
Shower was cold.
Friendly staff; excellent location for our requirements; OK breakfast - very salty meal
Our room was very small and had very few 'surfaces' to spread out on. The bathroom size was a joke....it was a complete shuffle every time you wanted to move in it. Again lack of surfaces to put toiletries. Access to one side of the bed was very cramped.
