Fantastisch personeel en heerlijk eten
Het ligt aan een doorgaande weg. Dat vond ik het enige jammere. Verder helemaal super!
Very comfortable country inn, hospitable. Large, well appointed room and good food
Isolated, in a bleak part of the Peak District, although on a main road so easy to find. A little road noise at night.
Lovely friendly staff , happy to help when I realised I hadn’t booked a dog room ! Thankyou Ellie
Friendly welcome, plenty of parking, lovely breakfast
We had previously stayed in the first floor King Room with which we were very pleased, but this time we found the ground floor Double Room a bit small. We booked rather late so perhaps it was the only one still available, or maybe I was just careless - I don't recall. Doesn't mean we wouldn't stop again, but only in the right room.
Dogs in breakfast room
Dog and Partridge is in a beautiful setting. On arrival the staff were really helpful and made check in easy. The room was a good size, very clean and the bed was really comfy, also great to have a bath in the room. The breakfast was gorgeous and eating in the restaurant my husband and I both enjoyed a beautiful meal. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
No complaints at all about the place. The only issue we had, was that the satnav takes you to a different address, albeit just around the corner
Excellent! Great place to stay and the food was fantastic.
Nothing!
We had a lovely stay at the Dog and Partridge. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious and our room was clean and comfortable. Our dog was happy there too!
Absolutely fantastic ❤️ Everything about the property 👌🏻 Food 👌🏻 Staff superb…. Highly recommend ❤️

Great value for money. Friendly helpful staff.
Nothing.
Stayed here one night - staff were lovely & friendly & very helpful. Exceptional service.
A warm welcome and great hospitality during our stay. Fine breakfast
Well run Hotel/Pub spotlessly clean with good food and good real ale The staff were very pleasant and very hard working. The Hotel/Pub is in the middle of nowhere with great views over the Peak District and has ample parking. There was an organ in the bar area and we were treated by the regulars having a get together and a little sing song. Very enjoyable evening and great fun was had by all.
There was nothing to dislike, we had a very pleasant stay. However, we did have quite a long wait for our evening meal as a large party of walkers had just ordered their food before us. We were told there would be a delay and were kept informed.
Bar and evening meal were great an added bonus of music and people singing

Excellent service and very clean and comfortable

Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help and make the visit perfect especially with our two dogs. Beautiful food.
The staff could not have been more welcoming, the room was clean and the breakfast delicious!
Loved the food. Welcoming staff.
Staff were amazing and friendly. Rooms were great. Even though the pub is there and the game was on, not a sound could be heard in the room
Friendly and helpful staff. Good food.
Great location, up on the Moors; large car park; warm welcome; pleasant bar; good food; large comfortable room (number 3).
Rooms at the front suffer a little road noise if the window is open. It can be a busy main road.
It had character, good good, and wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and always served with a smile.
Fantastic location, lovely clean comfortable room, helpful friendly staff, great food
Nothing. The road is noisy in the night but can't fault the place
Lovely peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The puddings were very naughty and delicious. Very tasty breakfast.
Beautiful location with breathtaking views of the moors. A great location for walks. We have stayed there before and will still there again.
The room was comfortable . The facilities were very good. The food and service were fantastic. The staff and ladybwho owned the Dog abd Patridge was extremely helpful and friendly. We felt really comfortable worth the cost. The location was perfect with a lovely walk distance to Langsett Resvoir. I would recommend to friends and family
Such a friendly team, fantastic customer service and super attentive
Breakfast was ok but very basic , dinner was good, the room very clean.
The room was VERY Cold no heating on and hot water on arrival( after day 1 the room was lovely and warm so why say the heating was on when clearly not such a bad start to a 2 night break) we asked for a heater after a few exchanged words we was given a heater BUT when having evening meal the heater was taken out of our room this did not end well !! Did not get the room we booked UP GRADE !! to no heating and hot water OH DEAR. There is a roof window with no blind so if you are a light sleeper this very bright earlly hrs in the morning not great. Staff need to learn if there is a problem just sort it out with out a fuss such a shame!
Very convenient for us and well looked after.
Very nice helpful staff. Lovely location, with beautiful views - if you could see out of the small, high window!
Deluxe room only had a double bed. No towel rail/heating in the bathroom. T he small velux window didn't have a blind, so we were woken early with sunlight pouring in - ironic as it was a dark room!

Staff, location and the quality of the food. The main bar and restaurant is also beautiful and welcoming.
Excellent dinner and breakfast. Staff fantastic, room so clean

I brought a group of friends to the Dog and Partridge and we all had a fantastic night celebrating my 60 th birthday. The staff were all amazing-so kind and very helpful. The restaurant was a lovely attractive place to enjoy the fab food ; and the service was excellent. They couldn't do enough for you. There was a sing- along later in the evening, which was good fun and everyone was very friendly. The rooms were clean and the King room we stayed in was a good size. Outside the property has great views. I would definitely come back !
Super location, large and clean room. Staff very friendly, we felt welcomed. Good quality food, great atmosphere in the inn.
Very warm welcome from all staff. The Dog and Partridge are incredibly dog friendly even providing dog towels and a bowl in the room. Good local beers in the bar and great food. There was a lovely community feel too. Easy parking and great access to the Pennine Way.
Stylishly designed with classic country-home furnishings. Superb food for evening meal and breakfast ! Hosts were really friendly & helpful.
Next to a busy road
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was warm and very comfortable. And the food in the restaurant was excellent, both our evening meal and breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
It was absolutely great, Everything was lovely , Throughly enjoyed. Very pleasant , Loved all.
There was nothing to not like
Staff were excellent. They were all helpful, friendly and natural. Food was good, especially the breakfasts. Location stunning. Although we didn’t have a dog, their warmth and attitude to elderly guests with their pets was a credit to them.
The ability to turn down the heating in the room would have been a boon. We roasted and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was almost painful! The wooden bed frame creaked all night. The combo didn’t make for a brilliant nights sleep.
The breakfast Omelette was lovely
The door downstairs slams during the night.
This is a perfect cosy country pub stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. The location is stunning with great views. A very comfortable bed.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Location was great staff wonderful
We could not regulate heating system and we were too hot during the night. We had to open window all night which wasn’t environmentally friendly wish we could have turned the heating off
The staff and landlady were very polite and helpful and they were very professional. The food was exceptional and service in restraunt was great
The shower was cold when we got there at 5.30 pm so couldn't shower to go for tea but next morning the water was nice and hot
Great size room, lovely pub with real fire in the bar. Free pool table. Spacious parking, great location for hiking
We found the underfloor heating in the bathroom (room 10) extremely hot, and could definitely do with being turned down (we had no access to the controls). Some probably don't mind this, but we sleep hot and it also made the rest of the room very stuffy...
Breakfast was excellent. Evening meals also. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Bar was very cosy with great atmosphere.
Nothing
It is situated in a lovely peaceful location nestled in the Peak District the surrounding area and views are absolutely stunning. All the staff were excellent and friendlyfrom the moment we arrived until our departure. They even advised us on local taxi firms to help us get about
We couldn't fault anything at all
Lovely room, very comfortable bed
Breakfast was poor. Scrambled eggs so dry I could not eat them. Pretty sure they were not freshly cooked as had black bits. The waitress asked other tables if everything was OK but did not ask us, not even when she collected the plate with the eggs untouched.
Looked nice, very well presented
Nothing
Decent sized twin room with more than adequate facilities. Tea, Coffee, TV etc. Bathroom was clean and a decent size, but the shower was a bit on the small side. Breakfast was perfect with lots of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Most people know this before booking, as they only stay there to break up their travels, but the location is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, on a main road. The pub / hotel is all there is in terms of local amenities, unless you wish to take a £15 taxi to Holmfirth.
Great location, friendly staff, nice pub area, good food, dog friendly, large rooms
Wasn't exceptionally clean, had to change one of the rooms (the new one was fine) Not the most modern rooms
Very warm welcome and accomodating. Great atmosphere in the evening , and obviously the fantastic Jean on keyboard
Limited vegetarian options for the evening meal, though breakfast was catered for
Everything - excellent service, friendly and efficient staff, spotlessly clean everywhere, fabulous food.
Nothing
The location was easy to get to, the decor was tastefully done and in keeping with the original property.
We couldn’t find it from the information we had. The post code took us to the wrong location. We noticed you have what three words on your business cards. Would have been useful to have this on the booking instructions.
Everything from the fantastic foods to amazing staff. We love it there and will be back again. Lauren and I go engaged there last year then went back this year after our wedding
Nothing
Very friendly welcome and unwavering assistance by the ownership and other support staff at the residence during my stay.
We loved the warm welcome and staff friendliness. Especial thanks to Noah! Great to see a lovely coal fire blazing in the bar area. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The food was very good,, in particular the evening meal. Noah was brilliant as our waiter. The whole atmosphere, friendly staff and warm welcome made it a lovely weekend stay for our family get together. Thank you all at the Dog and Partridge.
Nothing we didn't like

2 night stay for my birthday. Would definitely return. Lovely place, staff, food, atmosphere and location. 10/10!
No complaints at all
Beautiful old building with amazing views
Perfect location, and well designed for a relaxing weekend. The staff were exceptional and the breakfast was delicious.
We were very well looked after on our night's stay. We'd been walking and our hosts kindly helped to wash some clothes for us, gave us a lovely meal and were flexible on breakfast times in the morning so we could get going early!
evening meal excellent, warm cosy pub, good bedroom and excellent breakfast.
the TV controller in my room didn't work particularly well othrwis everyting very good.
I thought the staff where very polite and made you feel welcome.
Only thing I didn’t like was it was a bit warm in the room but the heating was set and couldn’t be turned down.
Dinner - wonderful - great ambience in the bar on Saturday evening. Shame the pianist was unable to attend for the sing-song Breakfast - first class
Nothing really - we will try and return
Breakfast was good been nice if table set with cereals, juice etc so you could help yourself. Location fine
Everything good
The room was clean & warm, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking spaces.
Not many vegetarian options on the menu.
Lovely well appointed rooms with lovely views over the Peak District. Staff very nice and helpful. Food was excellent.
The food and friendliness.
Fantastic location, very warm welcome and friendly staff. Great food (pie was amazing) and brilliant breakfast!!
Was there for a family wedding, very friendly staff and host, reasonable prices, good meal and staff were very attentive, stayed overnight room was very comfortable and quite large, breakfast in the morning was excellent. All in all a good experience.
Nothing
Beautiful old building, modern comfortable rooms with underfloor heating. There was a log fire blazing in the bar, as it was a little chilly out (we are soft southerners!) excellent beef and red wine pie. Breakfast was also delicious. Staff were welcoming and gave good advice on potential dog walks.
Nothing.
Location was great, room was very spacious. Staff were friendly when I arrived and showed me to my room.
The room was hot and the thermostat was locked. The tv remote literally had one button that worked so I couldn’t change channel. My room had a skylight but no blind on it!! So at 5am my room is no longer dark, I don’t get why that’s acceptable or never been questioned. Literally just enough shower gel and shampoo for one wash and I have short hair, considering my wife didn’t attend no way was there enough for two people Breakfast was so disappointing for £150 stay, I asked for wholemeal bread only with having a stomach issue and the waitress looked at me like no way is that possible, I said can you ask, she said you can have gluten free which I didn’t need or want. One piece of bacon and small portion, waitress came back and said no wholemeal bread at all, coffee wasn’t great. I just feel things need a look at, everything can be adapted, slight changes with very little cost and I would have been more than happy.
Nice location for walks!
Staff friendly and informative
Great view, outstanding building
I was looked after from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everyone was absolutely fantastic and the evening meal and breakfast was amazing
Nothing to dislike wish I had more time to stay and explore the area
fantastic welcome and felt like a home from home
Comfortable friendly to us and 2 dogs
Nothing not to like
Clean and pleasant in a nice location
Everything was spot on
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Everything.
The blocked sink in my room and the faulty door handle to my room. I was offered a different room but I was too tired to move.
