Ace Motel

We are a retired couple, returning from the Kootenays and wanted to overnight in Princeton rather than drive all the way back to Vancouver. We chose this motel for its location. It was very clean, surprisingly quiet and very nice staff. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay at the Ace Motel in Princeton again.

The mattress was not as we expected. The foot end went up and the head was down. Not very comfortable.

Good location just off the highway, recent reno on the bathroom.

A couple of insects wanted to share the room with me.

The structure seems recently renovated. The rooms are late and are fairly quiet. Nice huge comfortable beds and the location is also convenient.

Location good, at one end of the high street. Room(s) spacious and spotlessly clean. Kitchen (separate from sleeping area) was well equipped and well maintained. Beds very soft and comfy. Princeton is a pretty little town conveniently located whichever route you're taking (and a lovely drive from Hope, excellent roads) . Townsite has some interesting little shops - a fascinating rock shop for crafters/collectors. The Dollar Store is one of the best I've seen and also sells amazing fresh doughnuts.

Outside appearance is deceptive - it's a lovely little motel.

We honestly like this little motel. It has a great location for walking to local restaurants and it is very clean and well-kept. Also, the check-in was the quickest and easiest we had in a two-week road trip which was really a nice bonus.

The big downside for us were the pillows. All the pillows were so uncomfortable and too high. We woke up in the night with sore necks and threw them off and slept without for the rest of the night.

The ground floor access made it easy for us to lug our bags in and out. We also went on a couple walks and it was nice to be able to just walk right out the door.

The beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant. Good location. Restaurants all around us.

We couldn't get ice before the office opened in the morning. Outside stairs felt unsafe. Especially when carrying luggage.

Spacious room and bathroom; nice kitchette; all quite clean.

There was no luggage rack or table to put suitcases on. There was no light above the one mirror in the entire room and it was in a very dark corner of the bathroom. The tub was very slippery for the first person showering. Everything was very clean, except for a "blob" of toilet paper or tissue that was stuck to the wall in the bathroom. It was a bit of a surprise and grossed us out.

Saggy bed - we met in the middle and it was an uphill climb to get out. Too much furniture so you had to edge around a bed to get to the sitting area. Would rather sleep in my car

We were a group of motorcycle riders, the Ace had easy access from the highway, the receptionist was pleasant and helpful, the rooms were excellent. highly recommend this as a place to stop and stay.

Convenient and clean. We only stayed for a sleep but it was quiet and great quality.

Liked friendly efficient Reception Office (re manager/owner named Christian). Might not be most glamourous of buildings but rooms neat, tidy and clean. Appreciate their kitchens (re full size stoves, even if a little vintage!) Within easy walk of restaurants, museum, etc (short drive to tennis courts!)

A little noisy perhaps for light sleepers (re early morning artisan pickup trucks) being close to a busy intersection.

It was very quiet at night! Had a great sleep. It was also clean and the staff was friendly. Walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and visitor center.

The only thing was the parking lot was a bit crammed. A bit of a challenge for a bigger vehicle with bikes on a bike rack.

Great service. We were on bicycles so asked to move to a room on the first floor. Staff found a good room for us. Offered to lock up our bikes and gave great restaurant recommendations.

We were pleasantly surprised by the well-maintained building first. Then the clerk was friendly and efficient. Our room was clean with all the regular amenities.

Bathroom is tight for room and the sink is very small

Christian, the young man at the desk, was courteous, friendly, and so helpful. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The shower had plentiful hot water and good pressure.

The bedside lighting was inadequate and awkward. We like a reading lamp on each side. Also, a box of tissues in the room would be handy.

Central location, good amenities, decent size room, good air conditioning!

Location to restaurants, highway, EV chargers, Stores, was excellent. Room was very quiet and roomy.

Very convenient for walking about town and getting to restaurants etc. Very clean and comfy. Staff are very nice and helpful. Nice and quiet at night with black out curtains. We would stay again.

Excellent facilities. Kitchenette with cooking utensils, cutlery and dishes. Very clean and walkable to all of town shops. Simple decore and very contemporary.

Bed was a little soft, but that is a personal choice.

Room was small, no space to organize luggage or hanging clothes. In kitchen there were not enough supplies, like mugs, kniieves, kettle, toaster etc.

The property is nice and quiet and really clean the staff are friendly really nice place.

The motel was in a great location to downtown and groceries. The motel was clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom have been updated and are bright and cheery to feel more modern. The heater fan worked well . Front window has a screen and locks .There's enough space in the kitchenette queen bedroom. There was a dresser and a desk and two chairs so you can use the desk as a table. The room was well laid out and updated.

Some minor things like a clogged broom sink and a loose toilet seat. But I told the manager about them. The linens were pretty good . Four pillows instead of three would be nice.

it was clean ( except the sheer curtain) and the staff were nice. It is also just off the highway so easy access but not too loud

It is our second time here. This time booked a 2 beds for me and my adult son instead of one of us sleeping on the sofa. IN the single bed room there is a sofa in the double bed room there is not; only one chair in the corner and one chair by the door which we moved Parking is very tight with the angles and the longer trucks and construction vehicles. Both times we stayed here very tight parking The white sheer curtain that is tied in a knot should be removed from all rooms. In both my rooms it was dirty and ripped and ugly

Easy check in, comfortable enough for 1 night.

Cleaning was not great. Could really use more attention especially in the bathroom. Like many hotels these days they don’t use duvet covers but instead use a flat sheet under and a flat sheet over the uncovered duvet. I find this super gross! Inevitably you come in contact with the unwashed duvet that’s been used by 100 other people

Traffic noise was a little more than expected, but we came prepared with ear plugs, so we were able to have a good night's sleep.

Quite clean, newly renovated, AC was so lovely!

The overly fluffed pillows what left me with a very sore neck. The beds sunk a bit.

Princeton is a lovely little place to stop. Many iron statues depicting the wildlife around. There are plenty of places to eat and peek into that are interesting.

The motel is so run down. The plastic headboard was peeling. The ceilings are riddled with water marks and rust. The floor tiles in the bathroom were loose and uneven. The bathroom door didn't open all the way because of a towel rack they installed too close. The place needs to reinvest in repairs inside and out. The room was sticky on the floor and surfaces. The bedside lamp was so loose and falling apart I didn't want to use it for fear it would electrocute me. I stayed there 3 years before and it wasn't in good shape then, much worse now. Sad.

They were able to be accommodating to my mistake with my booking date during their renovations. They were very friendly , polite and helpful.

Center of town, well maintained and quiet.

Great location to walk to all the town has to offer. Good, safe parking. Very clean and comfortable with nice sofa and coffee table. Bathroom was compact but adequate. Friendly staff. Everything you would expect for the cost of a motel but better maintained and a lot cleaner than many we have stayed in.

Very comfy bed, quiet, was able to have ground floor room. Good location, reasonable price. Slept so well. Easy check in and check out.

A comfortable stop on the way to Vancouver

Check in was easy and the lady at the front desk was pleasant. The room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. Just passing through but it met our needs.

We enjoyed the space of the room! Our room was clean and comfortable. Due to location the space was noisy with traffic. Rooms have a fresh coat of paint inside, but outside needs some talc as the carpet on the decks to the rooms is torn and caused a tripping hazard! The bathroom window is clear with no covering and in the shower space, and faces the neighbours which was uncomfortable but it did fog up quickly

Close to all restaurants, grocery store and gas stations. The street is busy during the day but super quiet at night. Rooms look newly refinished and were super clean. I'll stay here again for sure.
