All the staff were fantastic. Friendly, professional and genuinely happy to help wherever they could. First night , Bradley couldn’t do enough to help sort the menu to accommodate my wife’s gluten allergy and he was always on hand to help or chat. Second night Grace was also amazing and many thanks to the chef(s) on both days. Matt and Luke’s work and customer focused approach runs through the all the staff which is great to see. Room was very clean tidy and comfortable, just be aware it’s a very old building and some noise can travel through the building. That apart no issues at all !

This is one of my favorite places to stay, great location, friendly staff, fantastic food. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Be mindful if you get a top floor, stairs are narrow and no lifts, so may need to request ground floor rooms if accessibility is an issue. EV charging on site which is a nice bonus. Great grounds to have a walk around.

The road can be rather noisy and with no sound proofing on the windows it can be a challenge to get a good night sleep with either an early night or a lay in. No air con, however you do get fans and i have not struggled staying here during the summer or winter times.

Lovely old pub with beautiful gardens. Met friends also staying there so the garden was perfect for drinks and chatting. Inside was cosy and comfy too when the rain came. Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Lovely room which was very comfy but unfortunately rather noisy with the windows open at night. Ceiling fans were useful though.

No food between 3pm and 6pm was a bit disappointing. I asked to look at the menus but wasn't told there was no food after 3pm, otherwise we would have put in an order in time. We did order something light at 6pm which was really nice. Breakfast was overall very nice but needed a bit of attention for things like cereal spoons not available on the cereal table. Had to ask more than once for these and milk. Nothing drastic with breakfast but those things make a difference to the experience. It was otherwise really nice.

Magnifique bâtiment Chambre bien équipée ( réfrigérateur) Accès à Netflix. Appréciable lorsqu'on ne maîtrise pas assez l'anglais pour regarder la tv;)) Bon petit déjeuner

Les logements sont situés dans des bâtiments récents juste à côté près d'une route avec beaucoup de passage. C'est bruyant. Très difficile d'ouvrir les fenêtres Les lits ne mesurent pas 90 cm de large comme indiqué dans la description mais 75 cm !!! C'est peu Pas d'eau froide au robinet. Obligé d'acheter de l'eau pour remplir les gourdes et faire du café et du thé. Accueil pas très chaleureux le jour de notre arrivée. La gérante n'a pas daigné lever la tête pour nous dire bonjour. Douche à l'italienne qui innonde la salle d'eau.

You can’t stay here in hot weather. It’s not suitable and the room was about 50 degrees. Staff were not accommodating and I was told to basically just deal with it. After a gentle conversation the next day I was told I would be in contact in the week by the manager but they just took my money and never contacted me. The law states rooms should be of reasonable temperature otherwise a refund or partial price reduction is applicable- neither of those came. So not only did they break the law but I didn’t sleep! Should have slept in my car

Everything you’d expect from an English countryside pub and hotel: comfortable rooms, friendly staff, delicious food, a welcoming bar and that country feeling. We stayed with 3 kids under 5. We had a family suite which was the right size for our family. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful for the duration of our stay. The included breakfasts were delicious (cereal and a choice of hot breakfasts), and the à la carte meals for lunch/dinner were large and tasty. The children enjoyed the large grounds where they explored for hours. Would love to come back here in the future.

At the height of the summer, the lack of air conditioning makes the rooms very hot.

Lots of character and a very friendly and helpful staff. Room very clean and spacious with a great bathroom , though a bath would have been nice too.

The bed in the suite we had was rock hard and uncomfortable. There were some weird decorative "heads" in the room which were not to our taste. Whilst the cooked breakfast was good, the breakfast bar was minimal and not really acceptable.

Room 3 pretty clean and facilities good (even if few issues with stains and facilities promised in the very descriptive but torn room guide) Evening dinner was good and nice food. Restaurant is lovely with charm and character

Staff were very helpful with the issues we had , Room was lovely after they gave us a room that was not occupied. Breakfast lovely with hot plates and food.

When we arrived we were shown to a room which was already occupied, it was a good job nobody was actually in it at the time. We arrived at 8.20 on Monday evening after a long day golfing and were very hungry and being a AA star restaurant was very much looking forward to dinner, only to be told the restaurant was closed it shut at 8.15 however in the rooms it stated that the restaurant was open until 9pm after complaining and the staff calling management we were offered Burgers, as you can imagine we were very unhappy.

Absolutely stunning place. Loved that the pub was so original and like a real old pub,very quaint and pretty. The room was lovely ,very clean and bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast the next day and that was delicious too! Staff very friendly ,smiley and helpful ⭐️ We will definitely stay here again!

The one thing that let the hotel down for us was no breakfast beroe eight, so we did not get breakfast. And no one around at 7.45 to hand the room key back. Other than that excellent 👌

Bed was too hard and therefore didn’t sleep very well.

Staff were brilliant, polite and professional at all times. Food was excellent, well prepared and presented well. Housekeeping up to standard clean and tidy, although they did miss a broken plug in the basin in Wet Room, thus basin was out of commissions as it could not hold water ( all in one plug). .Also, I-believe that 4 little pots of milk is hardly enough for two grown adults. Like wise with the sachets of coffee Or tea - enough for one drink in the evening and one in the morning - not enough and also no apparent choice between decaf and normal.

Having a room right on the main road ( quiet room!,) No instructions on how to operate the television, all we could get was Euro TV!!!! Welcome Brochure totally out of date and fell to bits when picked up!,

Bedside light not working

Would have liked a better selection of cereals. Very good cooked breakfast options. Big room with comfortable bed. Very good wet room style bathroom. The White Hart main building was a beautiful olde worlde timber building with plenty of character.

In the bedroom a large wardrobe in the room meant the bed was not in a central position in the room which meant a tight squeeze window side of the room. Only single glazed windows you could hear the road and traffic passing by.

The room was well appointed and very clean. Great shower, walk in style. A nice touch was the coffee machine in the room. A very good breakfast choice, including vegetarian and vegan. Very good customer service very helpful.

Breakfast service was poor. We were asked if we wanted tea or coffee when being seated. These took 15 minutes to arrive at which point we were asked if we were ready to order, the waiter then realised they hadnt given us any menus. When food arrived the toast had no butter with it, we asked for some and the waiter went to get some but it never arrived. The poached eggs were under cooked and still transparent in places.

Brilliant location, very cosy and Christmassy. Food and drink reasonably priced. Room close to the car park and easily accessible. Loved the coffee machine in the room and the beds were very comfortable. Food was lovely plenty of choice at breakfast.

When I arrived late at night the front door was open and the heating was off so it took ages to heat up. The front door (3) was very difficult to shut. Just a few little finishing touches missed but the staff are friendly and polite.

The main building is a lovely place to spend time. The vibe is very relaxing and time seems to disappear which is a fantastic way to unwind. If you dine here you will not be disappointed, the food does live up to its reputation and whilst it is not cheap you can tell why. The service was excellent as well on a evening that it was fully booked. It was also my wife's birthday and when I asked them for a simple candle in the dessert they brought it through with a lovely birthday message and made her feel that little bit more special.

Whilst the room was nice I felt it was the bathroom that took the limelight. The room itself was not what I would class as a suite. But it has to be said it very nice. Some of the furniture was slightly worn for example the draw on the bedside that just refused to close either as needing replacing or is a cracking ghost story. We could have done with some bottled water for the price spent rather than drinking from the bathroom tap. I felt the overall refreshments coulr have been better. We had 4 little pots of milk meaning 2 cups of tea or coffee and 1 pack of of 2 biscuits. This is really the area I felt just took the overall shine off, the attention to detail.

Location was lovely, the main building, bar and restaurant was fab with great features/decor and staff were friendly and helpful.

The bedroom was too hot despite turning radiator down, the green emergency light remained on in the room all night creating a green glow which disturbed sleep. The blinds needed to remain down as in full view of car park. Would have preferred a kingsize bed rather than a double as very cramped.

Fantastic place for a weekend away,.The hotel was absolutely amazing with the beams and lowered ceilings making it homely and cosy. The room was actually how we wished and was up graded to the bridal suite with no extra charge . Regarding the food it was extremely tasty and the staff was pleasant from luke who made our stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible to his caring staff who couldn't do enough. Absolutely staying again when we visit the area . Such a beautiful old pub
