The location is excellent, large room and bathroom size, clean.

The bathroom lacked towel holders, and a small table for suitcase would have been handy.

Location, Location, Location. View of the cathedral from our terrace. Ideal spot for those ending their Camino as you are 50 meters from the plaza.

Breakfast was terrible. The lady at the reception told me they make every kind of eggs for breakfast. When i went down the waitress showed me the 3 sad salami they had. No menu, no question. No vegies no fruit. I went to eat somewhere else.

Room was big (ok, I had a “Junior suite”, as that was the only room available and discounted). Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Interior nicely decorated. All in all, matches a expected quality of a nice boutique hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Fluent in English. Great location.

Was told bikes “not allowed” in the hotel, and offered an off-site storage option, with extra fee. The fee wasn’t the issue. It’s the hours. Not open till 10am. So anyone needs to leave before 10 will have no option but to leave the bike on the street! Or, if you want to use the hotel as a base for day ride to nearby town, you’re restricted to return before 10pm (~ sunset time). There’s plenty of space inside the room to stash the bike. So the “no bike inside the hotel” policy seems rather unnecessary. Frankly, given the price of the room, they could have easily work with the “storage” place (it’s a souvenir shop) to store the bike for free. Not sure what to do about the access hour though. I would think storing the bike in the hotel between 10pm-10am (in the room if space available, or any space unused at night) should be allowed. Needless to say, although I’m pleased with the hotel as a place to stay in Santiago, I wouldn’t stay there if I were traveling with a bike.

Great central location. Great facilities (fridge, coffee and tea making) freestanding bath, good shower and all very clean.

Poor noise insulation. Our room overlooked a busy street and we had to put the air conditioning system on to drown the constant noise of party goers and singing drunks with what appeared to be PA systems! You expect cathedral bells on the quarter hour but not someone shouting under the window at 3am! Needs triple glazing and preferably a larger bed.

Pretty location and clean.

There is live music in the street just underneath the bedroom window until 2am. The hotel staff were not present and did not care that we could not sleep. I will never book here again. Terrible experience.

La dirección no advierte es que es paseo peatonal y que la otra entrada no tiene ascensor para el equipaje. No apto para personas con discapacidad y/o hartas maletas.

La ubicación de este hotel es un lujo, a pocos metros de la catedral. La limpieza y la amplitud de la habitación eran sobresalientes. Un acierto alojarnos allí. Sí vuelvo a Santiago repetiré.

The location is so central and perfect. The rooms were well equipped and clean, and they upgraded us to an exterior view room with a small balcony. The reception staff were all so friendly and informative. I asked them about bus transport to the airport, and they were very knowledgeable. We were also able to leave our bags in the lobby until it was time to go to the airport. The souvenir shop just underneath the reception is the best one I’ve ever been to. Definitely deserves all 10 points, and we will definitely be staying there next time we go to Compostela de Santiago.

The room walls and floors were a bit thin, so you could hear cracking floorboards and some street noise, but it’s understandable given that it’s an old building and they cannot change the main structure for heritage reasons.

La posizione centralissima a pochissimi metri dalla cattedrale, la cortesia dello staff e la pulizia accurata della camera. Si esce a piedi e si raggiungono tutti i monumenti in brevissimo tempo, cosi come i negozi o i ristoranti.

Noi avevamo la camera che dava sotto i portici, nonostante gli infissi fossero nuovissimi purtroppo si sentivano i rumori provenienti dalla strada soprattutto il vociare delle persone.

Location excellent in town centre. Helpful reception who texted me once room was ready some 4 hours before official time which was very helpful as wet from last leg of comino and could shower, change and get out for lunch

No coffee facilities and charge for small bottle of water in room. Bathroom door was tight fit and if closed needed good tug to open.

Loved and enjoyed being in the City, yet able to sleep with the noise taking place below our window. Was quieter than expected and beds were comfortable. Checkin was a breeze.

La relación calidad precio de algunas de las habitaciones. Teníamos algunas de ellas con calidad superior pero otras en cambio no tenían ni ventana, parecían más la habitación de un convento de clausura.

Amazing location, really nice staff and the restaurant is quite good.

It is VERY VERY loud outside the hotel. We stayed there Sunday to Tuesday so not even a weekend but street musicians stared playing at 10pm just outside the room and trucks come into the normally pedestrian area around 3am and continue until 9am. Its is an old building so understandably not very sound proof but was not expecting it to be this bad. We faced the side street so I except its event louder facing the square that’s busy all evening. We really did like the hotel and had a great stay but the sound is a problem for longer stays I’d say

The entrance was a bit hard to find. Also - not their fault, but there was a VERY loud screaming argument outside our window for several hours at night, some sort of domestic dispute, until at least 2am. Earplugs were no use! I doubt this is a regular occurrence

Insonorisation insuffisante des fenêtres Nous avions une chambre donnant sur le jardin . Or ce n est pas un jardin mais une petite place très jolie mais très animée avec de nombreux restos et bars donc très bruyante jusqu’à tard dans la nuit et à partir de très tôt le matin . C est dommage il faudrait le préciser .

The property is very well located in the town center: a block from the cathedral and surrounded by restaurants. Mary at the desk got us checked in and settled and was more than happy providing info about the town and the immediate area. I will stay here again the next time I’m in town

The hotel was clean, in a beautiful historic building but with all mod cons. The bathrooms were fresh and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke excellent English as well.

I had room 101 which was cold. I tried to change the air con settings but could not get the room to warm up. A blanket was provided in the cupboard and I had to use this. Room 101 was on rua do vilar, which is one of the main streets in santiago centre and was noisy through the night. The room was otherwise beautiful.

The rooms are cleaned too late. The room I booked was on the third floor, but someone lived above me, and I could hear their movements until late at night. Breakfast was decent; the only downside was that the orange juice was industrial, and if you wanted real juice, you had to pay.

The location was in the city center. I was near the Cathedral and all the sites, shops, and dining.

The rooms were a little small and I had an interior room with windows that were block.

The room was really small. After having been in great rooms/apartments along the Camino, this was supposed to be a treat and was the worst of all in my personal experience.

Great hotel to end my Camino, next door to the Cathedral in the middle of old town. Very clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Great A/C!

My one-person room was in the middle of the building with no outside window. Still comfortable but felt a little claustrophobic.

Amazing find, not far from the Cathedral. We upgraded to a suite and it was fantastic. Large room and MASSIVE bathroom and even a bath in our bedroom. There is a lot of noise from outside but that is to be expected from a central hotel. We had a drink and lunch/snacks in the restaurant and the team were lovely. We had dinner across the road at the Italian restaurant (no more walking for us!) Breakfast has hectic but done with a smile. Would stay again and bring ear plugs!

Location, clean, great staff

Location is the best and although in the middle of the hustle and bustle around the Cathedral, it is quiet and peaceful inside. Staff was fantastic, including the staff from the taverna downstairs that serves the hotel’s breakfast. Clean, small room but we had three beds so that explains the small spaces. Bathroom was comfortable and shower was great! (we looked for those small wins after walking El Camino). The view from the balcony was also wonderful. I will hope to come back on another visit.

Einfaches zweckmäßiges Hotel in zentraler Lage mit nettem Personal und gutem Frühstück und Klimaanlage.

Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber nichts besonderes. Der Fernseher war mini. Preis empfinde ich als zu hoch.

Está en el centro de Santiago, el personal muy amable y cuenta con ascensor que es algo raro en la ubicación en la que está. Además las habitaciones disponen de aire acondicionado y calefacción.

What a gem! Right off a small, bustling plaza, gorgeous historic property with modern amenities. Staff welcoming and helpful. Loved the tub in the suite with balcony and sunset views. Couldn’t have been a better place close to cathedral to land post Camino.
