It was an absolutely lovely destination for our honeymoon. They upgraded our room to one with a private access to the beach and decorated the bed. We stayed for three days and our days were full. Between kayaking to Moyenne Island, walking on the sand in low tide toward Long Island, snorkeling, walking around Round Island and swimming in our private pool, nothing was missing. Food was good and the staff were very generous and kind.
Amazing location.
Mosquitoes are very intense.
A beautiful island, with incredible views everywhere you look. We stayed in a superior bungalow and it was outstanding. A mix of sleek exterior and terrace and traditional, antique interiors. The staff were faultless. From the Sundowners beach bar, the restaurant and main lobby - all exceptional. Communication was via WhatsApp and staff were always fast and helpful in responding. This is a place of quiet luxury and seclusion. Perfect for couples. We loved it and hope to visit again.
As others have mentioned, all Seychelles beaches are (rightly) open to the public. So there are regular trips from locals and tourists. This is mainly from around 10.30-3.45. It wasn’t a problem for us, we liked the vibe. But also outside of these times, it felt even more special to have the beaches largely to ourselves (pro tip, sunrise at the sand bar is so good it’s almost otherworldly).

I booked a villa with a private pool and direct private beach access, which was absolutely stunning. The rooms were prepared daily, and sometimes even twice a day. The swimming pool was very clean and offered a beautiful view of the beach, creating a relaxing feeling of being close to the sea. The villa also had a lovely gazebo, perfect for private lunches and dinners. The resort also provided excellent professional spa services, and activities such as kayaking, which added greatly to the overall experience. I truly appreciate the assistance, professionalism, and cooperation of the resort team. They were always punctual and attended to any request promptly. The room service was excellent. There were many food options and courses available, which we really enjoyed. Overall, it was an unforgettable journey.
All of the above points were well addressed by the hotel team and are generally what one would expect from a place of this high standard. However, for such an exceptional property, I would like to highlight a few observations: 1. We booked the villa specifically for peace and quiet, and because it is very close to the beach. At times, there were many visitors on the island who played loud music, which disturbed the villa guests. This concern was well handled by the hotel team; however, unfortunately, it kept recurring due to other visitors. For guests who are not sensitive to noise, this may not be an issue. 2. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so guests should be prepared. 3. As a suggestion, it would be great if there were direct access from the private swimming pool to the outdoor shower, rather than having to walk through the villa to reach it.
Gute Lage auf einer kleinen Insel. Kleiner privater Pool.
Benutzt
The nature, it’s very quiet and have a privacy amazing view I love the food and the service very welcoming, kind stuff thank you for everyone there.
Bellissima esperienza
This hotel is a jewel, not just because of its fantastic location, but for everything. We had a spectacular time.
The villas were nice, especially my double bedroom villa
I liked the whole experience of being isolated with full privacy, the private pool overlooking the ocean was amazing and the activities were fun too. The staff were really amazing, especially David, Sheryl and Ahmad. Everyone helped to make this an amazing experience and would definitely recommend for people to come.
No smart TV
The staff were very welcoming, kind and supportive throughout the entire trip. It was also very clean and comfortable and all the staff catered to our requests and helped us schedule our activities in a very prompt and smooth manner.
The only negative about the property was the food at bounty restaurant. The food was not to our expectations considering the price we paid. The food was always under seasoned and was not at the standard it should be at a wonderful facility like this.
We booked a private pool villa in JA Enchanted for the last leg of our Seychelles trip and it made the ending perfect. It was so relaxing and absolutely worth the money. We had stairs down to our private beach. Seychelles beaches are public, but our part of the tiny beach on round island was definitely private. The food was great and we spent a nice evening in the Sundowners bar. The staff are very friendly catering to every need of yours. We saw a few Seychelles skinks, Myna, Blue Pigeon, spotted doves and normal Pigeons near our room and the pool. They are like cute little visitors who don't disturb you and just like being there. They are a 5 star resort and they live upto it. I need not say anything more. You can visit the islands nearby in the Saint Anne Marine National Park and they also provide tours and kayaking experiences (which we didn't avail). All in all, you should stay there to feel like you're part of the Seychelles nature.
Nothing at all.
You stay there and don't go out
The restaurants and food
The views of the crystal clear water from the pool restaurant area and the staff were very attentive. The food was really good, lots of variety, breakfast was really delicious. The bar cocktails were also super tasty 🍹
Needs maintenance and updating. There is no beach area to lay on a sun lounger, except a very small area which has a few plastic loungers, its overgrown and not appealing to sunbathe, the pool area has only 4 loungers.
Overall, we had a great stay. Beautiful private island. Excellent staff. Good food.
We think the rooms, while beautiful, are a bit tired. The pictures overstate the luxury of the rooms. Our room was very nice, but it's clear the property was built some time ago, as the interior wear & tear was starting show. I think the "private beach access" is true... but it wasn't the type of beach where you could take long walks on the sand. You have to wait for the tide to go out, to enjoy a nice long walk. Given the price point we paid (~$1000 per night, w/ breakfast included), I think overpriced.
The trip felt like a dream come true. The hotel is located on a small island that you can walk around in just 10 minutes, facing some sandbanks that connect to the neighboring island when the tide goes out… truly a paradise to disconnect from the hectic city life. The hotel and staff were incredible, and the villa with its private pool overlooking the sandbank was absolutely spectacular.
Our stay covered both weekdays and the weekend, and we noticed that during the weekend, since all beaches are public in Seychelles, many people came to spend the day on the island’s beaches and anchored their boats right in front of our room, playing loud music — which was a bit disturbing if you’re looking for total peace and quiet. However, during the weekdays, we truly found the disconnection and tranquility we were looking for.
Amazing location with beautiful views. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Clean facilities. Complimentary kayak & snorkling equipment. Great Spa experince. Amazing cocktails at the Sunset Bar. Very good breakfast.
Both dinners were not so good - Pad Thai (vegi) was very oily, Butter chicken the meat was very hard/chewy. Also live music during the Creole night was very loud, was almost impossible to talk to each other during dinner.
Truly idyllic place!!!
Food was good but definitely not amazing
Great island, food was beautiful too!
We had a hill top room & the view of the sea was restricted by the trees which was a shame, but the room itself self was very stylish and comfortable. Excellent mattress and pillows. Close to the spa where I had a wonderful massage. We walked across to the other island at low tide which gave you a fantastic view of the island we were staying on. The beach is white & soft & the sea is shades of turquoise & clear, absolutely stunning. The breakfast menu is superb & plentiful & the service excellent, Irshad was our waiter & he was friendly, polite and helpful. In fact everyone was warm and friendly. Dinner menu was a little limited but good quality. I could look at the view from the restaurant for ever.
Every thing was perfect but I would have been a little frustrated if I’d spent all that money on a chalet with private pool & beach access to have to listen to the beach parties going on with loud music & jet skies racing up and down in front of me. No beach is private so anyone can get a boat out & set up on ‘your’ beach & party. I’d avoid weekends!!!
Linda praia!!

Secluded nature, great staff, amazing views!
Food variety
Lovely staff. Could not do enough for you! Relaxed atmosphere, great food. Provided kayaks and snorkels which we used everyday to explore the neighbouring islands. Bed was large and very comfortable. Quality pillows, bed linen and towels. Great rain shower with Elemis products. Perfect romantic escape!
tolle Anlage … unglaublich guter Service…
Service on the highest level, cuisine, staff.
It’s small island and the first impression is that you spend time out of the people. It’s not true, there is plenty of tours coming to the island every single day. It’s not a problem but it’s not a place you can feel like the edge of the world.
Everything was just perfect!
Nothing. We liked everything!
Amazing experience
The beach is by far the best beach in seychelles you can spend hours in the water its very calm and clean
The rooms are very old and outdated and honestly too expensive for what the room is expect lizards in the room as well. It’s priced like most 5 star resorts in the Seychelles but I would give it 4 stars maximum. There’s only one restaurant, they do switch up the menus etc but again it would be nice to have a little more options.
Everything was literally incredible
Maybe more food options. Gets a bit repetitive if you stay a while
Great breakfast (probably the best we've had in the Seychelles) and restaurant, helpful staff and organized systems, high-end, boutique, quiet luxury. This is a rare and special resort and we really enjoyed our stay here. I think they undersell the location and the beach that's in and adjacent to the hotel... the sand bar that's visible during low tide lets you walk across to another island, which is a bucket list experience with beautiful clear water and pristine sand. This is a quiet, private resort, don't expect nightlife or loud energy, it's for connecting with your guests and nature, in rustic yet high-end luxury. The boat service makes commuting back and forth to Mahe quite easy. Bhuwan was extremely accommodating and supportive, and their Whatsapp-based comms and room service system lets you get anything you need with just a message. Imagine being in a remote island in a marine national park but also just 10 mins away from the main island of the Seychelles... kind of an island experience they've created here.
Access to some of the neighboring islands requires pre-planning; that's not the hotels fault, but just something to keep in mind. I don't have much negative to say though. The gym is a bit too basic, could be better equipped, and a few more wellness activities / offerings might be nice considering the island is well situated and a peaceful place for things like yoga and meditation.
Beautiful property and experience.
JA Enchanted Island Resort Seychelles is a serene, romantic escape with private villas, exceptional service, and one of the nicest beaches in the region—though it's not private, so expect company, especially on weekends—with added charm from its great snorkeling, kayaking, and easy access to other nearby islands, despite occasional service lapses, mosquitoes, and high prices that don’t always match 5-star expectations.
Location, the island, beaches and nature
Food variety and quality in the restaurant. Service wasn’t great, too expensive for the value you get.
a wonderful experience on the round island
the hotel is gorgeous and is built around its gorgeous natural setting. the setting is truly stunning-surrounded by crystal clear waters and lush vegetation. the staff are all lovely and they go above and beyond to make the visit comfortable. the food was great as well would love to come back and 12/10 recommend
We had a wonderful stay at the JA Enchanted Island Resort. This little island is truly unique and offers great privacy and a very athmospheric setting. It is settled in the middle of the Saint-Anne Marine National Park with beautiful sea and nature. Some highlights: - staff & service: very polite and helpful, special thanks to Ahmed and David - we enjoyed some great conversations. We could feel that the people working at this resort are happy with what they do. - Private pool villa: outstanding set-up of the villa, embedded in the middle of greenery and on a small hill, overlooking the ocean. Superb pool with great views and water quality. Big terrasse to enjoy oneself. Showers, toilette and bath tub outside on the upper terrasse- an amazing experience! We have been to quite a few destinations, but this villa was definately something different and we liked it a lot! One could easily stay the whole day there and have a great time. - Beach: the beautiful sandbank when the tide is low is just an eye-catcher, post-card worthy! Two island that can be visited easily (Moyenne and Long, either by kajak/swimmung/foot). Pristine sea colors and little hidden beaches around the island worth exploring. - Spa: we loved the spa treatment, it really helped us to relax. The set up was great as well. - Sundowner bar: very cool spot where you can enjoy yourself with a cool cocktail and watch the sunset. Also the romantic heart is located there. - Food: all in all the food was very good, and the local cuisine was tasty. - "Floating Breakfast": have a breakfast basket floating in the pool was a cool experience, definately recommend it. - Romantic dinner: this one was really special and the menu as well as service was pretty nice. I wished we could stay longer so we decided that we definately need to come back. I can recommend JEIR to anyone who wants to have a special vacation on the Seychelles! This resort has that unique factor that so many are missing.
Nothing really, as we liked everything about the resort. Smaller technical issues were fixed, so everything was good. The breakfast menu could be a little bit bigger but on the other hand everything was made fresh, so no complains here. If there is one thing I could think of to improve, is to clean the beaches every morning, but I understand this would require additional personnel resources. One important note to potential visitors: please note that ALL beaches on the Seychelles are open to the public. There is no such thing as a "private" beach. Hence it can happen that especially on public holidays and on weekends local Seychellois and tourists come by boat and visit the beaches, where they have lunch and listen to music. We knew this beforehand, so where not affected. If you happen to be on JEIR on a "special" day I would recommend going on a tour in the afternoon to another island so you can avoid the peak time. It is my understanding that JA are doing their best to keep the visits by boat civil and are working closely with the local authorities. And no worries, other people cannot and are not allowed to enter the JA premises.
It's a little haven for couples in the middle of the ocean.
