loved everything about the stay. staff was incredibly priced. restaurant was a bit overpriced but it is a non-profit organisation and they put in crazy effort to make the island an incredible experience so no complaints. staff was extremely polite and helping. would definitely recommend the safari drive activity.

Food is limited and minibar items are upon request. Everything has to be delivered to your room, which takes so long. Calls to front desk are rarely picked up, and you have to wait for a call back.

Lovely peaceful location, great rest. We had great fun watching the animals! We also got an upgrade which was pleasant!

Villa was big and very nice if it was clean and serviced properly

Unfortunately, my stay at Anantara Abu Dhabi was far below what I expected from a luxury resort. The villa was not clean and had a strong animal-like smell. The bathrooms had hair and were not properly cleaned, the towels did not feel clean, and the hair conditioner was completely empty. The refrigerator and TV were both not working. Although maintenance eventually fixed them, having technicians around during our stay was very disruptive. Room service was slow, calls were often unanswered, and my watermelon juice arrived warm without the ice I specifically requested. The breakfast selection was also very limited and average in quality. The spa was another major disappointment. It is located at another resort and requires a drive. The place felt abandoned, poorly maintained, with leaves everywhere, very little lighting, and we were the only guests there. The facilities were extremely limited, essentially just a steam room. I enjoyed my massage, but my partner found hers very poor. I raised a formal complaint during our stay, including concerns about the smell and cleanliness, and specifically requested that the villa be thoroughly cleaned. Unfortunately, when we returned, the same issues were still there. Overall, this was far from the relaxing luxury experience we expected. The resort needs significant improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, service responsiveness, and guest care.

The beach and how quiet it is for a relaxing staycation.

The food quality was below the expected resort standard, with little variety and very limited taste. It was also disappointing that there was no mini supermarket or beach store for basic necessities, especially for an isolated island resort that does not allow outside food. Overall, the stay was not worth the cost and did not meet our expectations.

One of the best experiences we had. We’ll visit again.

We did like literally everything! It was quite an incredible experience we had in this place. Maybe even the best in the UAE for years.

The nature walk is amazing, i think the guy’s name was camyron! He is really good.

Keep in mind that you need at least 5 hours to be at the hotel if you’re coming from Dubai, the service was so disappointing, you are told that the jetty will leave on time yet you have to wait for at least extra 40 minutes for the jetty to move, they definitely have a shortage of staff, the staff in the reception are also driving the buggy :/, you have to wait for more than 20 minutes for the buggy / luggage and the food varieties in the hotel are very limited:/ I paid double the normal price for my stay and all I can say is that it’s definitely not worth it. Same thing happened when we we’re checking out, jetty was late for 1 hour!!!!

We chose this hotel specifically for the safari experience, which was the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately, due to a booking error on the hotel’s side, we missed the activity entirely. The situation was not handled efficiently. At the reception, there was only one staff member, and we had to wait for a prolonged period without support or escalation, which resulted in further loss of our limited time. It is also important to mention that we travelled approximately 4 hours from Dubai to reach the property. Given that our stay was only for one day, losing such a significant portion of time dealing with this issue had a major impact on our overall experience. In addition, the property did not fully meet expectations based on the photos. Certain areas appeared less well maintained, with visible signs of wear (for example, chipped surfaces in the bathroom and sunbeds that were not in the best condition). The overall atmosphere also felt rather quiet and lacking in activity. In the morning, there was noticeable noise from machinery operating near the villa, which was quite disruptive and made it difficult to relax. Instead of enjoying the stay, we spent a considerable amount of time waiting and trying to resolve a problem that was not caused by us. Overall, the core experience we came for was not delivered, and the level of service and responsiveness did not meet expectations for a hotel of this standard. This experience significantly affected our perception of the brand. P.s: It has now been over 2 hours, and I have still not been contacted by any member of management. This level of disregard is highly unprofessional and not in line with the standards one would expect from a hotel of this calibre.

how quiet it is. staff is very nice and polite but they all seem to be new at least the ones we interacted with.

the beach was not nice though kept clean, sand was rough. the food was the worst thing about the hotel. we tried in room dining, the bar, and the dine-in. all options were horrible. we were asked to try the savannah restaurant in the other resourt (15 mins by car) why would i go to another resount when i paid for this one? theres nothing to do, you need some proper water sports. we did the safari, and the biking which was ok theres no boutique. i needed sunscreen, and a hat (what if a guest had their luggage lost?) the breakfast is so sad, i realize it wasnt a full house but there was no point on displaying the food will not recommend, will not come again.

The pool was too cold, the heaters werent working well for some reason, the option for a more private area was not clear from the beginning during the booking process, they arranged that for me after multiple requests, The privacy needs to be worked on, the front doors were opened multiple times without permission.

It’s incredible place with animals, beautiful nature and amazing stuff! So much entertainment to do

The service was outstanding from check-in to check-out, and the food, especially breakfast, was excellent. Daniel and Hassan were wonderful hosts and made everything feel effortless throughout the stay. A special highlight was the nature drive with Jaffer, which made my birthday truly memorable, along with the beautiful surprise setup in the room,

There was honestly very little to dislike. Everything was well organized and ran smoothly from start to finish.

Terrible booking experience as we were forced to book 2 villas for a family of 5, as supposedly one wouldn’t fit us. Perfect scam to get more money out of us as the deluxe villa perfectly fits 2 adults (king size bed), 2 young kids (queen size sofa bed in another room) and 2 crib. Felt like we were being ripped off with the second villa. We stayed in Al YAmm villas. The villas are clean and spacious and the resort is beautiful to be fair.

Everything was crafted. Nothing was more great than the staff’s friendliness and service. Daniel and his team did amazing in making our experience smooth and special. Special thanks to both Jafaar (the wildlife drive’s guide) and Navas (the archery’s guide) who both made the experience unforgettable. They both are dedicated to their job, friendly, supportive and answered all of our questions.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and they made up rules that don’t even make sense. One of the most frustrating things was being told that guests are not allowed to bring their own snacks from home. It’s honestly embarrassing how far they go just to push you to buy food from their restaurant, even when the food there is terrible. It tastes horrible, and some of it isn’t even edible. What makes it worse is that they don’t cater to people with dietary restrictions. If you’re gluten-free or diabetic, don’t expect to find proper meals or even snacks that meet your needs. It’s like they don’t care about guest comfort or health—just about making money from their low-quality food. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a respectful staff, reasonable policies, or decent food options.

The island is beautiful and the grounds are very nice. It’s easy and convenient to get to the other hotels for meals and such. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and spacious. Love all the animals.

The food was not as good as expected and expensive. Their outdoor bbq live station at Al Shams was cruel to the poor cooks who were outside working on grills when it’s already 45C outside and 100% humidity.

Everything at this resort was stunning, however the people made this hotel to stand out even more. The location is great, for the whole duration of our stay we had the impression that we are in a tropical vacation. I highly recommend any of the villas. Al Yamm is perfect for sunshine and beach lovers and Al Sahel perfect for those who want to enjoy the wildlife in their own backyard surrounded by trees. The pricing of F&B is surprisingly good as well. Would 100% recommend any of the 3 resorts from the island.

Place is quiet and spacious so guests arriving with kids do not make much disturbance. Stuff is quite polite and friendly (even absolutely not organised and helpless). Food is quite good in quality and taste with fair price

In pool of our villa were swimming ducks and in the morning cleaning guys were washing brooms after removing the poo exactly inside the pool! We notified management of risks to get cervicosis or gelmints or god know what (imagine for pregnant!). So they emptied the pool and were fulfilling it additional day - we lost to have normal rest we paid for! After this accident the cleaning stuff continued to clean their brooms in other villas pool avoiding coming close to us. After second and third notification management bought new broom which the cleaning guy just replaced instead of using different kits for poo and for water where people swim!

Great hotel overall, but not for the money I paid. rooms are comfortable and nice. overall facilities not up to the standard for what I paid. food was excellent. the animals around give a great atmosphere.

coordination and administration was chaotic. staff in Olio restaurant are very untrained and got many orders wrong. The lighting system is not working properly.

The island is gorgeous and the safari was incredible. The safari guide (I forgot his name) was EXCELLENT. He truly made this stay worth it. The buffet breakfast was impressive as well, good variety and decent quality.

The rooms don't have any privacy. We were first put in Villa 18 which has NO privacy at all. Anyone walking on the path or sitting (outdoors) at the restaurant can easily see in the villa if the shades are open and the entire back area is exposed from all directions (restaurant and path to one side, and other villa to the other side) - this is 100% unacceptable and needs to be fixed. We asked to change rooms and luckily enough, they were able to move us to villa 25, although it took around 1.5 hours for this move to happen. We weren't able to unpack and feel settled until around 6PM. Villa 25 was a bit better but the right side is fully exposed to the neighboring villa - I don't understand why there isn't something to block it - bushes, a fence... anything. There is zero privacy which defeats the purpose of getting a villa. Anyone can easily see everything in and around the villa. Customer service is SO slow... everything takes so much time to finish. A simple question takes 10-15 minutes to get answered. There is so much staff everywhere but they are all super slow and take forever to get anything done. From ordering water to the room, coffee at breakfast.. everything takes so much time to finish. Not a very premium experience for such a premium resort.
