Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e tudo funciona muito bem. Foi uma experiência inclusive para mim.

Fiquei no quarto de categoria mais baixa e acredito que pelo valor poderia ser mais confortável e mais espaçoso, não é barato. O café da manhã não me agradou muito pois haviam opções muito exóticas para o meu paladar, poderiam pensar em mais opções para estrangeiros. Mas entendo a proposta.

A tremendous stay, lovely room with everything you need to enjoy viewing out over the Aquila Private Game Reserve where you could see Hippo, Rhinos, Elephants from your room if you were lucky! All meals were buffet meals with plenty of options providing something for everyone with more than enough food. The game drives were awesome, really knowledgeable guides who helped enhance our stay.

I’d only suggest to put some door matts in the room, cause it was raining when we were there. Or to supply complementary slippers for guests otherwise the room gets wet and dirty.

I loved the warm welcoming experience, being immersed in nature, the amazing food and very friendly and helpful staff. The game drives were incredible and our guide (Trevor)was very knowledgable and full of smiles.

Great location for safari, clean and comfortable rooms, welcoming staff and a lot of animals to see.

لو لو لو فكرت يوما ما في العودة لهذا الفندق سأقوم بحجز الغرف بدلا من حجز الكوخ لأني حسب ما رأيت أن الغرف مجددة بالكامل بينما الأكواخ مبنية على طراز السفاري القديم .

قمت بحجز كوخ من ثلاث غرف ، كان الكوخ مظلم ومطل على الفناء الداخلي للسفارة ، يمكن لجميع من يمر بجوارنا من رؤيتنا داخل الكوخ ، لا يمنح ذلك خصوصية أبدا ، كما أن باب الكوخ الجانبي لايوجد عليه ستارة و لا مخفي للزجاج. يمكننا سماع أصوات الزوار و النزلاء داخل الكوخ لأن موقعه بالقرب من المطعم ، الوجبات الثلاث بنظام البوفيه لكن الطعام كان متوسط ، من النوع الذي ينفع لطلاب المدارس. قرب سفاري إكليلا من كيب تاون يجعلها وجهة سياحية مطلوبة لكنها ليس تجربة استثنائية لمن يرغب في عيش تجربة سفاري تبقى في الذاكرة ، سيارة السفاري عبارة عن حافلة حديدية ، الجلوس فيها أثناء المشي في الطرق الوعرة يجعل البقاء في الكرسي أمراً مستحيلاً .

All Inclusive, integrierte Game Drives und zusätzlich angebotene Safaris oder SPA Möglichkeiten. Buffets sowohl Frühstück, Mittag- oder Abendessen war für jeden etwas dabei.

Wir haben eine Cottage gebucht und haben ein normales Doppelzimmer bekommen.

The game drives exceeded our expectations, The guides had a very good level of knowledge and made the drives interesting.

We were not told before hand when booking that the lodge was actual under going renovations and that sections of the lodge and Spa would not be available. The renovation work was very noisy which did not help with the peace and tranquility we were hoping for.

I secured one of.the premier cottages the Milky Way that makes you feel as if you are sleeping in the field. Fantastic. Can't say enough of the food and the staff. Magnificent value.

Stunning location

Bellissimo resort nel cuore del Karoo. La struttura è immersa nel verde e già dalla piscina è possibile avvistare gli animali. Pasti a buffet molto buoni e vari, con molta scelta di pietanze. Staff gentilissimo e le guide dei safari sono molto preparate e divertenti. Tutta l'organizzazione è perfetta e consiglio di sostituire uno dei 4 safari con la passeggiata a cavallo molto suggestiva. La camera non è molto grande, ma è carina. Molto bella anche la piscina per rilassarsi tra un safari e l'altro e la spa che abbiamo sempre trovato poco affollata e ben tenuta.

Attention to detail in everything. Food was incredible in quality as well as quantity. They do cater for dietary requirements. We had a special occasion and they exceeded our expectations with the hospitality. Game drives were wonderful. Rooms and views stunning. Love the kiddies area. Staff everywhere are very friendly and accommodative.

Nothing not to like. The only small point to note was the overnight and day visitors at the lunch. That was a little bit overwhelming and almost no order at times when it came to people barging through and between the queues seeming as if they were in a hurry to get food due to a time restraint program. The staff tried to be accommodative however a better structured way perhaps to be looked at to separate the two parties in different areas perhaps. Once the bus loads of day visitors left, it was great. Dinner and breakfast was perfect, music on point. Lovely atmosphere!

Noise they are under construction. And it os noisy! The lodges are very basic . There are no activities for kids 5-16. Mos activities are under 5 or over 16. Glorified zoo. The animals are regularly fed by humans

Prachtig resort voor een korte safari, midden in de natuur met prima faciliteiten en eten.

De hygiene op de kamers is niet geweldig, ook is een buitendouche (de enige douche) in de winter echt geen optie, kwam een slap straaltje water uit en daardoor is het veel te koud. Eetzaal is wel een beetje een vreetschuur maar kwaliteit van het eten was desondanks prima.

Apesar de termos muitas atividades nas 24h que ficamos tudo muito organizado. Comida maravilha e com muitas opções que não vimos em outros lugares.

Safari Drives were spectacular. Beautiful range of animals. Lions were the highlight on the tour. The food tasted great and the buffets had a wide range of choice to suit everyone.

The cottage we stayed in should have an indoor shower as well for those that prefer to shower indoors and not outdoors.

We saw all the animals, with a good ranger guiding us.

سكنت في هذا المنتجع ليلة الأسبوع الماضي، وكان معي مبلغ نقدي من الدولارات، ولم اطلب من خدمة الغرف تنظيف الغرفة، الا انني تفاجأت عندما أردت المغادرة أن هناك شخص ما سرق من شنطتي مبلغا قدره 2000 دولار، وعند ذهابي للادارة قاموا بعمل تقرير ولكن تجاوبهم كان سيء جدا، ثم أخبرني أن النظام لديهم أن يقوموا بتنظيف الغرف بدون طلب، فأخبرته أنه طوال مدة إقامتي لم يتم تنظيف غرفتي فكيق يتم الدخول لغرفتي بدون علمي وبدون تنظيف ؟! الآن مضى على الحادثة أكثر من 5 أيام وتفاجأت بأنه لم يكن هناك أي تحديثات منهم إلا عندما أتصل بهم. اتصلت بالمدير وأخبرني أنهم بعد مراجعة الكاميرات رأوأن هناك فتاتان من فريق التنظيف قاموا بالدخول للغرفة !! فأخبرته أنه لم يتم تنظيف الغرفة طوال مدة الإقامة فما سبب دخول الفتاتان للغرفة ؟ فأجابني أنهم سيقومون بعمل اختبار للفتاتان. حقا أنا مستاء جدا وأوصي كل من يرى تعليقي أن يحذر فإنك ستذهب إلى مكان للاسترخاء والسرقة 🤣

On a beaucoup aimé notre séjour. Tout était bien organisé, le safari nous a laissé les étoiles pleins les yeux. Notre guide était super on s'est bien approché des lions. Le repas super bon.Tout était très bien depuis notre arrivée jusqu' à notre départ. Mention spéciale pour notre navette depuis notre hôtel.

The Aquila Lodge is beautiful, surrounded by stunning scenery. Pool area & spa & lounge area is very nice. Food - very good choice available, well cooked & plentiful. We saw lots of animals on safari which delighted the whole family.

Variable service & atmosphere in dining room. Variable safari vehicles (some very old & terrible diesel fumes) & rangers. Some excellent (Randal) others just ok. Sometimes we couldn’t hear what they were saying. Accom - we stayed in the family area which was very noisy. Noise from neighbours & other guests on the lawns at night making a noise. I felt the room needed a refresh and lighting needs improvement. It felt very gloomy. Also only shower was outdoors which in winter is a complete no no. We ended up showering in the spa. This wasnt ideal.

It was a good experience, they have a good structure for the safari!

Our room was a bit dirty when we arrived and also, it was missing a shower inside of the bathroom. They have a shower outside, but it’s very hard to take showers outside when it’s making 5°C. Also, it didn’t have an interior pool for kids.

La liberté de certains clients à faire leurs prières à proximité des autres clients , au beau milieu du jardin ou en safari ....personne de l'établissement n'a interrompu . Dommage, on s'est sentis mal à l'aise

من ناحية السفاري كان عادي و الاكل جداا عادي و السبا ابدا مش متعاونين يعني ما قدرت استمتع في السبا

Das Essen lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Amazing for what you get. Beautiful site. The organisation of the game drives etc was excellent. We saw all the animals over 3 game drives and most on every one. The food is amazing and has a lovely bar that overlooks the reserve. All buffet and available all the time it seemed. Comfy beds and clean linen. The rooms are rustic but functional and warm in the winter. A lovely spa spa space where you can chill. Kids like the marshmallow nights.

The outside shower. The spa pools were green and not really inviting. The outdoor pool was freezing and needs heating in winter. No tv if you want one but didn't bother us. The bar area was cold and the staff were a bit rude when they wanted to close at 10pm! After the world cup final the tv was switched off at thr final whistle and no more drinks served.

Les excursions en safari étaient géniales avec les explications du guide. Chambre très confort même pour la loge standard, le lit est très grand. Les repas compris sont délicieux et beaucoup de choix.

Not our first visit and we are back in November with overseas guests…relaxing, friendly, not pretentious like some other lodges. Great staff.

We understand renovations were taking place and it didn’t really bother us as we had no intention of swimming . Eating in the ‘ day visitors’ area was not a problem but we found that often the food was cold ( delicious but cold ) we think it was a combination of weather and the fact that you were maybe catering to far more in a temp make shift area. Didn’t bother us enough to complain though.

Loved the staff they were excellent. The food catered for everyone and we thought it was an amazing spread. The fact we could see animals outside our cottage was amazing. Overall an excellent experience.

Floor was dirty with sand upstairs. The stairs were extremely slippery and one of us fell down. Pool facilities were disappointing. Sauna/steam room was cold when we went there and heated pool was being emptied during opening hours.

Amazing stay at Aquila at a great price for everything! Food was amazing and rooms gorgeous with a great itinerary each day

Although the resort is older, it's been maintained and renovated quite well and has all the amenities one would need or like to have. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The game drives were great and the drink break is a nice touch.

Few small issues, hairdryer in room was not working. While at the spa alot of maintenance or repair work was ongoing and doors left open which was quite cold while waiting for treatment in a gown or trying to relax after. Also we had to ask for towels as there were none in the bathroom.

Excelente localização, fácil acesso. Beleza do local. Os funcionários ótimos. E, o ponto alto, o Safari.

Faltou arrumar o quarto.

Gostei dos quartos, chalés aconchegantes, privacidade, tamanho dos ambientes, de acordo com um hotel safari, gostei das programações dos safaris tbém, vimos praticamente tudo que foi proposto no safari, paisagem local muito linda, inclusive o entorno do hotel

A comida é pensão completa, tem quantidade, mas a qualidade deixa a desejar, não tem cafés incluidos no café da manhã e nas refeições nem àgua está incluida… funcionários tbém um pouco despreparados para servir, informar…

The sight seeing is amazing. Even though they don’t promise, you will definitely see amazing wildlife throughout your stay, either from safaris or the hotel pool. Food is extremely good, all meals has so many options and all taste delicious.

The day use tourists really kill the vibe, during my stay there was a bunch of teens with a school that were totally uneducated. Playing with the buffet food and putting it back, jumping between pool chairs, screaming in corridors. Even though not being fault from the hotel, I saw complaints of other travelers about this, so it seems consistent.

A wide variety of whole and healthy foods were available and most of what I ate I enjoyed. There was a good spread of fruits, vegetables, proteins and baked items and desserts. Our bungalow was beautiful...built into the rock, with a embedded bath and an outside rock shower with super-hot (adjustable) water. Our room had a bottle of wine, tea and coffee and water. The views from inside and on the veranda were spectacular. The afternoon game drive included a stop with provided refreshments (2 hours) and the morning game drive was shorter (about 1.25 hours(. The guides were knowledgeable and prepared. and the other staff attentive.I have visited a number of safari lodges and this one was very good and there were a number of South African visitors, so I also think that speaks very well of the place, as the 'locals' also chose to frequent it. My experiences here were quite memorable......and I recommend (but see caveats below).

The heater died in our room on the last night, so it was in the upper-forties (F) in the morning (although the bed was heated). The bed was very firm and I HATED the overstuffed pillows....they looked super cute but were impossible to sleep with. Warning, even though I loved our room, it would not be safe for many guests (the flooring was uneven and a bit slippery). In spite of these issues, I felt like they delivered a quality product and would love to return. The game reserve only had a few big predator inhabitants (lions & leopards (the latter I did not see). I don't necessarily think this is a negative, but that makes it a bit different from national park/bush game experiences.

I loved everything! What a beautiful place😊. The staff were attentive and amazing🫠. The safaris were amazing - got to swap one traditional open vehicle safari with the horse riding safari. The food was great. The spa was my heaven- really enjoyed my time there! Thank you so much Ashley for the massage!

Restaurant perfect and great service there.

Couldn't use warm water pool. Quad bikes very expensive for South Africans to use. Dirty teacups in hotel room wasn't cleaned.

Loved the remoteness/location of the property. Loved the tour at different light, felt special seeing the animals as the sun was setting. The food choices were really good, something for everyone. The fireplace in the evening made the winter feel special.

Era muy bonito el lugar, acogedor y moderno. La comida estaba increíble y el spa también. La atención perfecta. Gran estadía.

Como por buscar algún punto bajo, El vino espumoso de bienvenida no era tan bueno.

The views were nice, staff was nice!

The rooms were really cold with very minimal heat. No televisions in the rooms. The bath water is brown and seems to be untreated. Staff is not available after 11pm. Not anything to do after the game drive is over.

The staff, the grounds, the buffet, the safari. Tyler is a fantastic human being. Would come back for him. But a great person like him do not usually stay. He will find something else more lucrative for sure.

Smoking everywhere. Children not under control. Room views from back. Sad we couldn't be front as they were available. Water should be free.

Lovely place and it looks absolutely idyllic. Beautiful pool and terrace. Staff was friendly. The food however was a disappointment.

If I may suggest, you beter serve 4 different main courses and 5 desserts that are delicious than 10 main courses and 20 desserts that are not good….

Close to Cape Town whilst feeling like a million miles away, in a good way. Awesome and beautiful place.

Café da manhã estava muito cheio pois muitos iriam para o Safari às 8 h. Então foi muito confuso e difícil se servir . Sugiro ampliação do Buffet para que todos possam se servir sem confusão

Rather underwhelming. Everything is set - buffet meals only at set times, game drives at set times. All ok - but you pay a very high price for a very average experience.

I left a piece of my heart at Aquila❤️ The food, the service, the game drives , the lions, the rhinos, the cape buffalos and mostly the magnificent elephants Waooo🤗 We loved Aquila and their hospitality. Great place to be if you want a reserve but we couldn’t see the leopard though.

The animals are amazing and you’re almost guaranteed to see them all as they’re clearly well adjusted to safari trucks. The view from the hotel is beautiful looking out onto the reserve. Definitely do the junior ranger program as it’s super informative and interesting and the kids get to have their own safari - this was great. There is also a good kids area to keep them entertained during the down time with a park, crazy golf and chess etc. Aesthetically the cottage rooms are beautiful which private outdoor space overlooking the reserve.

The resort is far too over crowded. The day guests that arrive everyday make it feel like a constantly busy tourist attraction. They’re running so many safari experiences that you’re often sat in ‘traffic’ in the reserve because of all the other trucks going round. This is no reflection on the safari guides though as they are amazing. The staff in the hotel weren’t particularly friendly or helpful which tainted the ‘magical’ safari experience I was expecting, especially travelling with a child. The food was terrible, very little choice and poor quality. The restaurant is chaotic with often no tables cleared when you turn up and then it’s very hard to get service for drinks.

Great facilities and good game viewing. The buffet meals were excellent.

The chalet we stayed in had a blind missing from the glass door which left us feeling very exposed at night. The floor in the bathroom was uneven and slippery as it us made of polished rocks which could be a tripping hazard for seniors like us. We didn't feel comfortable. The chalet was obviously in need of maintenance with peeling paint on the deck. For a luxury accommodation it could have been better.

Wir hatten zum Glück nur eine Nacht dort verschwendet.

Diese sogenannte „Safari“ war eine absolute Enttäuschung und wirkte wie reine Touristenabzocke. Die gesamte Anlage erinnerte eher an einen schlechten Zoo als an eine echte Safari. Teilweise wirkte alles eher wie ein Freizeitpark als ein Naturerlebnis. Die Tiere wirkten apathisch, gestresst und offensichtlich nicht in ihrem natürlichen Habitat. Teilweise wurden sie sogar angefüttert, damit Besucher überhaupt etwas zu sehen bekommen. Die beworbenen „Big 5“ sind irreführendes Marketing – den Leopard sieht man scheinbar nie. Die Löwen waren komplett getrennt von den anderen Tieren und werden lediglich gefüttert. Mit einer echten südafrikanischen Safari hat das nichts zu tun. Unser Guide Trevor wirkte eher wie ein Animateur als wie ein professioneller Safari-Ranger – alles war extrem gekünstelt und albern. Auch das Essen war schlecht. Insgesamt eine überteuerte Touristenattraktion ohne echte Authentizität. Würden wir definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen.
