Joy Beach Hotel

bon

I recommend it for a relaxing holiday, where everything is within easy reach. The apartment is very clean and spacious, with a terrace where you can enjoy meals in complete tranquility. The common area with a very welcoming pool is also lovely. The staff is friendly and very attentive to detail. We had a wonderful time!

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful swimming pool. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we had an unforgettable holiday. Anna and Kostas were incredibly kind and made us feel like part of the family.

Wow – what an incredible place! Staying at Joy Hotel felt like coming home to family. From the moment we arrived, Kostas gave us the warmest welcome, instantly putting us — and the kids — at ease. Our room was by far the biggest and best of our Santorini stay, with all the amenities we needed and a beautiful view of the pool, sunbeds, and deck area. The cold bottle of water in the fridge — a thoughtful touch from Kostas and team was a lifesaver in the summer heat! Right outside is the stunning black sand beach, our favorite on the island, with JoJo’s Bar just steps away, offering great cocktails and lively vibes. The area is full of stylish beachside cafes and restaurants, perfect for long walks along Perivolos Beach. We had a delicious meal at Coralli next door, where we were warmly welcomed and even given free sunbeds on the beach — a lovely perk thanks to Kostas’s great local connections. Best of all, we caught the breathtaking Santorini sunrise, an unforgettable moment made even more special by staying here. Kostas truly went above and beyond — he made our stay unforgettable and is a real asset to the hotel. Credit should also go to Anna for her warm and friendly service. For us and the kids, this was the highlight of our Santorini trip. Thank you!

I specifically booked a room with two double beds, as I was travelling with a friend, (and I selected that style of room from the room options listed at the Joy Beach Hotel on the Expedia app/website). When we arrived there was only one bed in the room. No one from the hotel responded to my messages and I went to reception twice during the open hours posted but no one was there. My request for two beds went ignored by the hotel and the receptionist, although nice, kept making excuses as if it was my fault and not the hotel’s. We had to make up the couch with sheets ourselves and it was the most uncomfortable option for a second ‘bed’ you could possibly imagine. The communication continued to remain almost nonexistent and my requests for a different room or refund (as emailed by Expedia as per my request) went completely ignored. When the hotel finally contacted me it was to blame me for the issues and claim I didn’t try to contact them. The facilities overall were average, we rarely had hot water, and there was a dirty broken jacuzzi tub on our balcony. Will definitely not return and do not recommend. Extremely disappointed.

Ci torneremo sicuramente.

To be fair our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. I love having a kettle that works and a selection of tea bags. It was a very welcome and nice addition that there was a bottle of cold mineral water in the room fridge. The hotel email communication was not welcoming but extremely quick to respond and efficient. It was very efficient that my email request that two single beds would be ideal was efficiently organised. Because it has happened to us on a couple of occasions that, when making a booking, we have clicked on "Two Singles" and arrived to find a double. On the negative side, the hotel receptionist seemed unable to disguise her ire that as we were arriving in the middle of the night - due to ferries - without using the hotel's transport service. But, we had a problem that we had to take another traveler to the airport and we didn't think that the hotel transport service would take other people to other destinations. So we had to ring a number to alert the receptionist that we had arrived and that was not very comforting because one never knows if phone numbers are going to work or not, especially with international phones. There needs to be a way to contact reception at the hotel without a phone number. We thought we might have to sleep on a sunbed if the worst came to the worst. Granted we were not the ideal guests arriving in the middle of the night on our own, but stuff happens and we got a rude and cold welcome.

Located a quick 2 minute walk to the beach, however you have paid or eat a restaurant to secure a location on the beach. The property needs some TLC, Property maintenance is lacking, lot of discarded items are visible. BTW, you cannot flush toilet paper at this property and have to discard in the waste basket. Pool was decent and lot of dining options. The staff is kind and will arrange tours and shuttle to the airport if needed. We walked to a bakery and restaurants away from the main areas, food was much better and less expensive. Great location but would look at other options next time we visit.

Perivolos was an amazing town for my vacation and Joy Beach is just across the street and I could see the sea from my balcony. JoJo's, the adjacent hotel has a full service bar and restaurant with great food (Bream was excellent). Areti was so sweet, warm and accommodating - loved her!

The management of this hotel are scammer the post pictures for different properties as belong to them which is not the wrote they have breakfast and laundry and they don't have also there’s not hot water to take shower only the regular water temperature.bad bad experience never ever go back again it was night mare for us.

The staff was very kind and he always suggested some ideas to us. It’s very helpful for us. The location is quite close to the beach and it’s very convenient for us.

Cleaning lady and the receptionist. The hotel pool is not the one in the pictures, FCC alse advertisement. You have to pay a lot for sun beds at the beach. The people at the Jojo beach club are really rude.

The manager, vassilis was amazing. He arranged transportation for us to and from our hotel. He was friendly and helpful. He talked to us about the area and remembered my daughter’s birthday. The place is amazing being on the beach and close to the bus stop to go sightseeing.

The place itself is not falling apart or anything, but it sure needs a bucket of paint and probably more than that. With that said and out of the way, we wanna say that the staff is super nice and extremely helpful, especially Vasilis, the host/manager! He will help you with anything from car rental, port/airport transfer, recommend places for you to see and proper Greek tavernas and restaurants to eat at. His english is excellent and he's easy to talk to. Fantastic guy!!!! By far he is the best to say about Joy Beach Hotel...

Super friendly owner. Nice stay on best beach in Santorini.

We have originally booked 5 nights at Joy Beach Hotel, however ended up extending our stay because we loved it so much! Christos has been extremely helpful and accommodating in making sure we were settled and we could not thank him enough for making our stay at the hotel. His recommendations for activities on the island in particular (that he even set up for us) were amazing. The hotel is small and lovely, it has a great location, few steps away from a beach, beach bar and plenty of restaurants. Our room was extremely spacious with a sea-view terrace. This hotel is an absolute gem and we will definitely return!

We only stayed in this location for one evening but it was a great choice for our last night in Santorini. It is located just a block from the black sands beach, 24/7 pool, healthy breakfast, and very close to lots of restaurants and bars on the beach. Everyone in Santorini is so friendly and accommodating, especially at this hotel.

It was good. The front desk needs some work

I woul'd like to go anytime again in that Hotel! Breakfast was Fresh and good. And the beach ohhhhhh yeaa!

The rooms were very large and spacious! We loved both of the pools as well as the beach/restaurant accessibility. Through the hotel, you could book excursions and transfers!

Joy is a small hotel 11 rooms Best thing about this hotel is the staff Maria Nicolas and the team made you feel welcome and we’re alwsys happy and positive. Hotel has lovely pool which is kept very clean with nice loungers & umbrellas. The breakfast is excellent and all the food drink was topped up throughout the breakfast period. The other positive is the situation of the hotel to the beach (50 metres) and the fact you can walk 5 mins to quieter beach area if you wish The hotel is situated behind JoJos beach bar which is an impressive bar pool restaurant that extends to luxury sun lounging area on the beach. This bar is vibrant and targets the younger holiday maker which means there is loud music playing during the day. We had teenagers with us so it didn’t affect us However Important to note that the music quietens down late afternoon and doesn’t start up until late morning so not as if it’s a constant Overall very good

Una piccola oasi di relax . Piacevolmente soddisfatto. Voto 9. Consigliato.

Hotel was too far from Thira and oia, you will need to rent a car. the room has a great view of the pool. The staff were very friendly and pleasantly. If you had any questions they will help you.

Paid for a room with a hot tub, but the tub was filled with dirt and bugs.

The Joy Beach Resort is not a resort by American standards but nice just the same. It was comfortable and most importantly clean. The property manager, Maria, was extremely friendly and helpful. Although this hotel was not luxurious by American standards for the price it was well worth the stay. The location was perfect if this was where you were looking to stay when on the Island. The WIFI was slow, but we found it to be slow in most of Greece. One strange thing. Flushing toilet paper is frowned upon at this hotel as well as many places with older plumbing on Santorini.

Excelente qualidade e atendimento.

Nice please to stay near the beach. Staff kind and friendly.

Dejligt ophold.

The location was perfect right across the road from the beach. The room was very clean and spacious. Lovely big balcony with jacuzzi. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Were able to get a later checkout as our flight was leaving in the evening. The pool and surrounding grounds were very clean. A continental Breakfast was included and was of high standard and delicious. Public transport was close by so easy to get around. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area but look around as some were overpriced and food not that great. Would stay there again.

Great family hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious and the property was beautiful. Close the beach with great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.

The staff was very welcoming & helpful. They went above & beyond to make our trip fabulous! There is a brief (less than 2 min) to the black sand beach. There is Jojo's bar next to the hotel, with a gorgeous beach front setting & view. It was our 1st time in Greece & we will definitely be returning to Joy Beach Hotel! <3 The hotel is clean, great rooms & staff is amazing!!

After a week+ of travelling North Europe and Athens, Joy Beach was a joy. They picked us up at the airport, and had us in our room in no time. The daily breakfast was a great way to start they day, greek yogurt mixed with fruits, omelettes, bacon, different fruit and juices everyday. Very centrally located, and minutes away from the beach. The pool was quiet, clean and a good place to hang out with drinks and snacks after a day at the beach. The adjoining club JoJo, was never to loud or too busy. I'd definitely recommend the rooms on the 2nd, floor the view of the beach and the pool can't be beat, and the rooms patio was a perfect place to share a bottle of wine while the children were sleeping. The employees were very accommodating and assisted us with anything we needed. The entire family can't wait to return one day.

Perfect getaway with a delicious breakfast. The staff was very friendly.

Really helpful staff. Great location by beach / bars / restaurants. Our room was cleaned daily. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice resort really well located, steps away from beautiful beach. Big pool on site perfect to relax and play with the kids. Location is great, close to restaurants. Management is very helpfull, breakfast is delicious.

Everything was great. Hotel close to the beach with free umbrellas. Personel super nice and helpfoull. Nice swimmimg pool with jacuzy.

This hotel was like fawlty towers it was so bad. Six inches of dust in the 'suite'. Decor from the 1960's. It is in a great location which is its only saving grace. There were wires sticking out of electricity sockets, wires sticking out of fences, broken glass from the bar next door. I don't have enough space here to list its faults. The staff are lovely, but the hotel needs closing for a full refurbishment. its not safe for children under 7/8 IMO. There is a reason you can't find pictures of the rooms on any sites, I did wonder, and now I know. Avoid!

Hotel is probably in the best location in santorini as it has the beach at your doorstep and 2 pools.. It's local to all other towns. The staff especially Theodora in reception went out of her and beyond her duty to make my stay amazing. Great place, beautiful city and lovely people

Lovely hotel welcoming staff, rooms were spacious and well presented. Breakfast was lovely, pool beautiful and the bar served great food all next to the beach.

The hotel was great because it was right on the beach and the pool area was really pretty. The room was nice but they never gave us new towels or new sheets! We honestly didn't have time to ask since we were only there a few nights and were never there but the pool and beach access was a big plus. The food was delicious too. The only other thing that was kind of a downer was that the water in the bathroom was salty - weird. You never really felt clean - the water to shower was salty and the water from the sink in the bathroom was salty, and the water to rinse off after the pool by the pool was salty. I don't know if that's how all the hotels in Santorini are, but just giving you the heads up.
