Canalta Hotel Stettler

Breakfast was handy (in a bag), location, room and facilities were clean and tidy. Front staff super nice.

Nothing to report

Breakfast was a nice touch

Room is a little out of date. could use handles or grab bars on the shower for us seniors

It was clean Location was great Staff was very friendly

The bed was too close to the walll

Staff was great

Room was dirty, looks like it wasn't cleaned for awhile

Room was large; bed & pillows were very comfortable. A/C worked well.

Hair conditioner dispenser fell off shower wall; bad squeak in floor inside entryway; lighting very dim; fridge froze food; breakfast was just a bag lunch from the front desk, with a sandwich, small juice, protein bar, hard apple & yogurt. Had to call the front desk to turn on the heat whenever it got cold.

The location, check in was easy

The cost for what it was

The room was fine, just not what we requested.

We requested a room on the main floor in the hotel and were given a room on the second floor in the motel section for the same price. My friend has mobility issues and found it very difficult to take the outside stairs. We had been looking forward to a nice sit down hot breakfast, but were offered a breakfast in a bag.

Fair

The breakfast

Clean, comfortable, quiet. good parking. Spacious room.

The bag breakfast was ok. Same Hotel in Kindersley had a full hot breakfast

Rooms not as spacious as the ones in Kindersley

We never took the breakfast as they don't have a breakfast nook ,have to take your food to your room. We went to the restraunt that is in the building and they are good .

No breakfast nook .take to your room.

Room and pool very nice. Breakfast could have been much better. Egg McMuffins were dated April 9. For those that just want coffee or toast or even a waffle there was no choices. I know it takes man power and room but I think something different would be better than what you have. We only got 1 breakfast and we Stayed 4 nights. When you advertise breakfast and thats what you get very disappointing.

When I’ve stayed in other hotels with fridge and microwave there is usually cutlery and plates to use in the microwave. Maybe have plates or cutlery that could be asked for if needed. Even paper ones.

Convenient

The room was so hot. The windows did not open. The AC was so noisy. Not enjoyable. We have a reservation for two nights in September. We do not want to be in the old section!

Breakfast was excellent, and staff friendly and helpful.

Nothing except vehicles backing in and the box of their truck taking up half the walk way.

Clean rooms and excellent staff

The breakfast was good and there was a choice. It was nice to have a pool. This was the best price, largest room and cleanest of the last five hotels we were in this trip. Carly was busy but efficient.

The bed was comfy, shower had great pressure, and the parking was good.

The room was incredibly hot, AC unit was unbelievably loud and seemed to be more loud than cooling. The door was incredibly creaky so it was disruptive anytime it was opened.

Front desk staff very friendly and fun. We felt very welcomed there.

It was a to go breakfast. We did not have it. Location was great. Room was in the motel section which was an older section

Room was too crowded

The juccuzi tub, the cleaness and appeal of room being cozy

The price was a little much

I enjoyed the great service for breakfast in the restaurant

I would have preferred to be in the newer part of hotel for the price I was charged

Friendly and very helpful front desk staff, comfortable beds, clean room.

Carry out breakfast

Good location, easy access to the room, very friendly staff

Lipstick on towels, dirty dishes, previously used coffee cups

Staff were very friendly, grab and go breakfast was convenient.

The pool and the free hot breakfast

The deadlock on our door didn't work

Dated, room smelted smoky.

Dated, smell, door did not seal.

The staff are amazing very friendly and helpful

I don't have a bad thing to say about it

Great location, decent price m, pool/hot tub & resteraunt & lounge in it.

Eat at the restaurant. Food was good and so was the service. Room was comfortable and clean and all the staff that I talked with were great. , polite friendly and accommodating.

Didn’t have any dislikes

Late breakfast, pricy for only one night. CAN DOLL $178

Early breakfast, no to pricy fo Hotel conditions

Good location, coffee available, warm Breakfast To Go

We were assigned a spacious room on the main floor when we arrived to our confirmed booking. When we opened the door to our room we were confronted with a strong sewer smell. We requested a different room at the front desk but were told the that there were no other rooms available at the hotel. Our host brought febreeze air freshner plugins but out night was not pleasant. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom towels were stained and the strong smell permeated everything. The couch was stained as well as the carpet. We were only charged half of the price quoted on our booking and were given a warm Breakfast To Go. The front desk staff were apologetic. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Did not take advantage of breakfast … dined with family at another place Staff was friendly

The breakfast was edible but not very tasty. It was pre-packaged and of undeterminable age.

The room was showing its age, there was mold in the bath tub area plus there was evidence of a major wter leak in the bathroom.

Much needed maintenance

Breakfast was ok.

not sure

Breakfast okay, prefer in restaurant than in a bag.

Location was good close to the train station.nice town easy to walk around to see different shops

The bedroom/ vanity part of the room was nice and clean.

The bathroom was clean but in terrible condition, cracked and discoloured grout, discoloured bath tub that could be cleaned with bleach, rust or dirt or both on the heater. The room that I booked with my children - that likely would be going in the pool and did we were told we were in a room that was outside so we had to walk only outside in the winter, come in the front doors, walk past the lounge & restaurant and then go through the hotel to get to the pool and back to the room all in our bathing suits, towels and robes. My kids that are 5 & 9 said this is embarrassing and cold, I thought we were staying at a nice hotel. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The breakfast bun was a prepackaged sandwich that I would not feed to my dog because of the ingredients, thankfully it had an apple, yogurt, granola bar and juice. The hot tub was dirty, also looking like it has staining and needs bleach as well as a vacuum because of the dirt in the corners. My baths at home are also hotter than the hot tub.

Rooms are cozy and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. The guy at the desk was so friendly made the stay enjoyable and felt very welcomed.

Very good value for money, very clean and comfortable. The receptionist was amazing and very helpful.

Very good price BUT you get what you pay for. My kids had a lot of fun on the waterside and the beds are comfortable

We were given a motel access side of the hotel. There was no mat at the door so the second you would walk in it was a muddy slippery death trap. We had to put towels down so we didn’t break our necks. The pool access was in the main hotel so we had to walk outside in -20 just to get to the doors. The pool seemed okay but the hot tub was dirty and foggy and there AC blasting over it. The bathroom was very dated and the fan was extremely loud when the light was on This one obviously isn’t the hotels fault but some guy with a diesel truck parked directly outside our door and started his truck for 15 min at 5am and woke everyone up. I’d normally stay anywhere for the right price but I truely wouldn’t stay here again.

Door had no seal on the bottom and the cold air came in all night long. One of the guests parked his diesel truck in front of our door and we could smell the diesel fumes at 7 am.

Beds and staff nice

Provide breakfast was terrible definitely should just remove that from your website or give each guest a credit to use at the restaurant in the building.

Breakfast was good. Service was great.

Pool was a distance from room, outside.

Close to everything easy to get in and out. It had a restaurant on site.

No little refrigerator in room.

Room was clean and comfortable.

Everything about the property was immaculately clean and really showed pride and care. The free coffee in the lobby was excellent and the availability of a pool and waterslide was great for our son.

The hot tub wasn’t very hot and the jet barely worked.

Great bar restaurant. Service excellent. Location perfect but just busy traffic. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Needs updating badly beds however very comfortable AC noisy

None

Thanks for a great room!

Quoted one price and charged an other with out my knowledge. thanks Will not stay again

Good location, rooms modern and clean, beds comfortable.

This is an older property but appears to be fairly well maintained. Overall happy with our room and the amenities.

Dated and kind of dirty

Not having to drive back to Calgary after the Big Valley train ride and the ability to check in early before train departure.

Having to climb stairs with luggage to second floor rooms. Outdoor walkways were dirty, as well as the bathroom. Having included breakfast, a bagged breakfast that you had to eat in your room. Not standard Canalta standards.

Good king size, quiet room

Pool nice , coffee great at fr desk !!

Great staff

Staff were very good.

Hot tub was not working
