Hotel Norddeutscher Hof

Vi ankom til et hotel, hvor der ikke var værelser til os, vi blev henvist til et andet hotel udenfor bymidten, hvor vi skulle tage hen for egen taxa regning. Placeringen var grunden til at vi havde valgt det, så det var rigtig øv Og de var ikke villige til at hjælpe med noget.

Located close to the central train station. Getting into the hotel with a stroller for small children was difficult as there were stairs. Had everything we needed for a good nights rest. The breakfast was good.

Vores ophold blev flyttet til udenfor byen, men det hotel var ok. Fik en del mere rejsetid og omkostninger

Reception staff were wonderful - especially on check in.

Det holder hvad det lover, men man savner et enkelt opholdsområde. Morgenmaden kan nemt forbedres væsentligt: Lad være med at servere hårdkogte æg - og køl dem ned inden de lægges ud, hermed stoppes kogningen. Selv æg taget lige ved åbningstid, var hårdkogte. Server gerne rigtig juice i stedet for det saftevands-lignende nektar.

Vi fanns inte när vi skulle checka in fick vänta 30 minuter så löste det sig. Saknade vattenkokare och kaffepulver. Hyfsad frukost.

Ottima posizione per visitare Amburgo. All'arrivo in hotel ci hanno detto che la nostra camera non era disponibile, ci hanno mandato in un'altra loro struttura non molto distante. Avremmo gradito una comunicazione in anticipo. Camera vetusta, senza telefono e frigobar. Moquette in ogni luogo. Personale alla reception molto formale e distaccato. Colazione con il minimo sindacale!

Excellent location near main railway station, but still in a comfortable & safe area. Short walk to the beautiful lakeside and Lange Reihe where there are lots of little cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. Breakfast buffet was fresh and had plenty of options. Room & bathroom was a little outdated, but everything was clean and comfortable.

Sehr nettes und geduldiges Personal. Zimmerausstattung sehr schön und neu. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Koffer wurden vor 'Check in " angenommen und sicher aufbewahrt. Super! Fußläufig vom Bahnhof zu erreichen. Immer wieder zu empfehlen. Sind das 2.Mal da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mal sehen wie das Frühstück ausfällt. . .

Ganske fint ophold. Ret beskedent, slidt hotel med tydeligvis en del år på bagen. Men venligt personale og meget central beliggenhed, og ikke meget larm trods centrum. Ok morgenmad, bortset fra de ikke kunne koge æg. Disse var så hårdkogte at de var sorte og næsten uspiselige. Men der var lidt af hvert ellers. Og ok. Jeg kunne godt finde på at bo der igen fordi at der var rent, sengene var gode, og super beliggenhed. Ja, og så var det jo heller ikke særlig dyrt.

Room was clean but tired/dated. No air con but windows opened. There was no bedside light , or light switch by the bed. Only 2 sockets in the room and a table light (not near the bed) was plugged into one. Bed was firm, pillows very soft. Very good shower. Limited breakfast selection but it was enough. Staff were lovely and we were able to leave our bags before we checked in.

The stay was great. The staff was positive and hospitable. The hotelroom was clean and simple - as was the bathroom. The hotel is close to everything like shopping, museums, the trainstation and so on. Parking in front of the hotel is paid parking from 9 to 22 and from 22 to 9 it is free parking.

Great location close to central station, lots of food and dining options in the area, the hotel itself doesn’t have AC and there was no wifi in our room which was frustrating. The breakfast was OK, cold cut meats and cheese, fruit and cereals, coffee and tea which is fine.

Die Lage ist sehr gut und zentral. Das Zimmer ist okay und relativ einfach gestaltet. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist okay.

Good for one or two nights. Lokation was central.

Helt fint sted til prisen. Godt: Meget centralt, okay pris, okay morgenmad, ikke støj. Ikke så godt: lidt slidt og det er dyrt at parkerer i området.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel, liegt gleich neben dem Hauptbahnhof, für unseren Städtetrip perfekt.

Easy accessiblility

O hotel é bom, mas os quartos são muito apertados e desconfortável. O atendimento, o café da manhã e a localização foram muito bons.

No air conditioner

We stayed for one night on our way to Copenhagen. The property is well managed, elevator is a bit small but working as it's supposed to be, room and bathroom are clean. Mattres is in a good condition. Our room was facing the opposite of the Hbf and it was nice and quiet in the evening.

A bit dated hotel, VERY hot daytime in the sun (may 24) but night was better. Good value for money and veru close to the main railway station, which was important to us.

The room was clean and large, with plenty of storage, but a bit spartan, it could have done with some pictures on the wall or other decoration. Breakfast was continental with a fair choice. Great location just round the corner from Hamburg Central station

Not so friendly staff, rooms facing the main square are noisy. No aircon - cooling.

Traveling with one teen, the hotel was mainly clean with a very nice breakfast. Our room opened onto the very busy street, and since the weather was very hot we needed the window open so it was very loud late into the night with people yelling, throwing bottles, and sirens. There was no fan or refrigerator, the single beds were very narrow with barely any space between them. The bathroom was very small with no window so a shower resulted in high humidity in the room. On the plus side the location was near to the train and city center with many restaurant choices so it was convenient for sightseeing.

Good value for the location. Mere steps from the Hamburg main train station and a host of attractions, including the charming St. Georg neighbourhood. Very quiet rooms that are basic but comfortable. Breakfast was basic but fresh and a decent variety. Would certainly stay again and recommended for budget conscious travellers.

Without a doubt, it is the worst hotel we have stayed in in our lives. Worst of all was the rude and impolite treatment of the gentleman at the reception. He was rude, spoiled and did not give us a solution to the problem. We reserved a Triple Comfort room with a sofa bed included for three adults, and upon entering the small room it only had two beds. That was all! We asked to be moved to a room for three people and they told us that the hotel was full. Finally they brought a small bed that hardly fit in the small room and made it difficult for us to move inside it. Our son had to sleep in that uncomfortable and old bed that was right next to the heater. They never solved our problem. But the rude and impolite treatment of the reception employee will be unforgettable. Never stay in this hotel.

Apart from internet which didn’t work well, everything was perfect.

This is my second stay in a Novum Hotel in Hamburg. This hotel is perfect for single and accompanied travellers. 2 minutes from the central railway station and there are many eating places in the neighbourhood. The hotel is quiet and the breakfast is delicious.

This hotel does not match the photos you book on the site. In fact, when you arrive it's dirty, ugly smelly rooms, with tattered beds. many steps, people with a suitcase won't even be able to enter the hotel! These people deceive their customers, they charge a very large fee (170€ per night) I do not recommend anyone to book a hotel, they are scammers!

Chose hotel for its family room for 4 of us. Arrived at 10am after disembarking from a cruise. Reception was able to get us into a room that was ready for checkin. Room was small but adequate. Breakfast was quite good. Did not have fruit mix that I like that was available at another Novum hotel we stayed at a few weeks ago pre-cruise.

The room was cleanish, but there was visible filth in the bathroom, dust that has sat forever, hair stuck to walls, etc. Also, the shower was broken, couldn't adjust height.

I like the hotel Would use it again.

The room i am given was in the same floor as the reception. It was really noisy at night and i had a hard time sleeping.

Arrived really late but no problem with check in . Room was simple but beds VERY comfortable. ABout 12 steps to reception could be a prob for some. Not much noise about the place. All very clean and breakfast was EXCELLENT. Very convenient for railway station and U Bahn and a few shops restaurants and bars within 50m

Did not have a lobby to relax in. Breakfast buffet was good but not a lot of food choices.

Stayed Friday and Saturday night. Terrible sleep because a close by night club plays loud music until 5 in the morning. The hotel tries to work with the covid 19 restrictions in their breakfast restaurant, but it is very tight. Would be better to make bookings for breakfast, to avoid too many people in the restaurant. Good location close to the city and train station

) There is little to no chance to get a parking near the hotel, so take into account you'll probably have to park in a garage for around 25 euro/ 24 hrs. ) The beds were the worst I've ever had the displeasure to find in a hotel. Like sleeping directly on wires, just horrible on all accounts. ) Temperature was aweful. Me and my husband slept on the 3rd floor and had to keep our window open from check-in to check-out to not suffocate (and yes, we turned of the radiator). It seems it was the whole floor 3 that was cooked. In-laws slept on 4th floor and didn't have this issue. ) The room and bathroom was clean and felt fresh, which was a slight bonus. ) Breakfast was sort of what we expected. Low quality but reliable. ) Keep in mind that the church bells can be heard every 30 minutes all through the night, if you are a light sleeper this might be a problem.

Everything is just ok, room condition, bathroom, and staff.

Good location. Small room. Old appearance, but maintained and cleaned well. WiFi did not work on arrival and only got fixed next day.

Service was shocking and room was terrible.

Satisfied with almost everything (e.g., location, cleanness). The hotel seem recently renovated. The only negative would be the bed (bad quality of mattress, okay linen). Because of covid19, we didn't try breakfast (so no comment about breakfast).

This was my I believe 5/6 stay at this hotel.It is very clean,comfortable with friendly English speaking staff.The Continental Breakfast is excellent and plentiful.Very close to the main railway station - Hauptbahnhof (25 min's to the airport and a less than 10min walk to the main shopping area.Only downside some noisy residents in the corridors.

Staff at reception were not helpful. I was looking for a laundromat to so some washing of clothes, 3 staff did not know where the closet one was and did not offer to help me find one

Great staff and quaint accommodation.

Excellent location. Near to train/tube station. Breakfast provided was lovely. Although not lavish you would be hard pushed not to find something to eat. The price paid was a bargain and the accommodation and breakfast exceeded my expectation. Extremely clean and tidy and all the staff I had contact with were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again and highly recommend.

WiFi was horrible. I was on the fourth floor and I needed to reconnect to WiFi every 3 seconds.

Rooms were neat and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, room was hot and there was no air conditioner and no fans. The windows opened but there was a bar next door, which judging by the sounds, would have been a fun place to go if I wasn’t trying to sleep.

My stay in this hotel was fabulous! The hotel is located literally 3 minutes away (on foot) from the Hamburg Main train station, it is in the center of Hamburg - we can walk anywhere, and if we so choose, we can take one of the hop-on-hop-off buses, which leave from the street in front of the Main Train station. The rooms are very quiet. The breakfast is fantastic! Great stay. I'll definitely go back to this hotel next time I'm in Hamburg!

Nice full buffet breakfast and a lift to all floors. All staff friendly.

Clean but needs updating badly. Bathroom was good though with excelent walk in shower. We were a party of 2 adults and 3 boys 8,4 and 3. They were in main bedroom with a badly situated to. We had sofa bed in separate 'lounge area' with only an atrium. No tv in this room. Breakfast good, service solemn.

Ideal for a trip with 3 males i.e. adequate single beds, decent shower and a nice breakfast and very close (200 m ) from main train station.

The hotel was only a few minutes away from the main station. The staff I had contact with were all friendly and helpful. There are about a dozen steps to climb up to the entrance which would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. The only drawback with the room was the he bed was against the window and the cold air was flowing over my head but the room layout meant that was the only place for the bed.

Great location 3 min walk from Central station so very easy to get to from the airport.Small room but ok for 2 guys over for the weekend,room was very hot even though it was the middle of November had to sleep with the window open.Hotel is in a nice little square with half a dozen resturants and bars right next to it.Easy to get around either on foot or by train.
