COMO Point Yamu, Phuket

We stayed here with our family in 2024 and had a very good experience.

the service has declined significantly since 2024. The food was disappointing, breakfast items ran out despite us paying for the buffet, and the villa was uncomfortable with several broken facilities. There were also far too many lizards inside the villa.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The room was very spaceous. The pool at the room was comfortable and big. The main pool and the view from this pool was incredible. The cocktails and food at the pool was very good.

The toilets have no bum-guns, the tv's are not smart-tv's, the view from our "phang nga pool room" was disappointing, we could hardly see the bay, since the view was blocked on both sides by trees. The deposit amount is too high, it makes no sense, to add to that, the deposit can be used to pay for the expenses made during the stay, this will result in a faster return of your unspend deposit, if you choose to not use the deposit to pay your bill, they will take twice as long to refund you. This is incredibly unfriendly, because it means you are unable to access your deposit for up to 3 weeks. The hotel is a bit of a maze, and especially during low season this is not a good experience walking up and down from the room to the restaurant/pool. The umbrella's at the main pool are practically unusable, since they are placed in a way that the shadow doesn't fall on the sunbeds. All in all, I think this resort wants to cater to the lower, and middle upperclass, but it's lacking that real luxury feeling.

We have been returning to Como Point Yamu for a few years. We got married here and come back annually as our family grows. It’s a truly special place. The property is beautiful. The staff is amazing and would go above and beyond to make you feel special. This is top place for us!

The photos don’t do the views justice, one of the most stunning hotel locations I’ve stayed in. The reception staff were extremely helpful and facilitated an early checkin given an early arrival and a short stay. Quality of food very good.

Ate in the Italian restaurant on day 2 as in a group of 5. There were clearly not enough staff so service was very slow.

It is precisely because of this long-standing loyalty that this stay was so disappointing. It is important to acknowledge that the location is excellent, with panoramic views, and the interior design, rooms, and spa facilities are very good and broadly aligned with what one would expect from the COMO brand. The physical asset, setting, and design quality were not the issue. Unfortunately, these strengths were significantly undermined by serious shortcomings in food and beverage operations and overall service delivery. The F&B experience throughout the stay was poorly managed and chaotic. Service was consistently slow, disorganised, and reactive. Staff were clearly overwhelmed, insufficiently trained, and inadequately supported for the volume of guests being accommodated. Communication was weak, execution was messy, and basic hospitality fundamentals were frequently missing. More concerning was the absence of effective leadership on the floor. Senior managers were visible but appeared unable to stabilise operations, direct teams effectively, or resolve issues in real time. During peak periods there was little sense of control, ownership, or proactive guest management—something we have not previously experienced at COMO properties. Basic operational planning also fell short. The resort appeared unprepared for routine challenges such as weather, with insufficient umbrellas and limited flexibility when conditions changed. Simple guest needs required disproportionate effort to resolve, reinforcing the impression of an overstretched operation. The situation was particularly disappointing on New Year’s Eve, where planning failures became unavoidable.

COMO Point Yamu is truly an experience at another level! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in peak luxury, exceptional design, and outstanding hospitality. Every member of the team was incredibly passionate about their work and genuinely kind and attentive toward guests, which made the stay feel very personal and special. The Kids Club deserves a special mention—absolutely amazing! My children loved every moment there, and a big thank you to truly caring and Amazing staff Nana, Ao, Ice, and Wawa. - who made it such a memorable experience for them. We would happily return to Phuket just to relive the stay and hospitality at COMO Point Yamu. Kudos to the COMO management team for building such an outstanding and dedicated team. ✨

Excellent views and service, healthy breakfast and nice in room dining menu, complimentary yoga, stretching and beach walk. The 3BR villa was very spacious and comfortable for 5 of us with a nice sized pool. Complimentary drinks and fruits in the villa, and fruits and popsicle by the pool were appreciated.

Only two restaurants which is fine for a short stay but if one was staying longer could make the meals repetitive

Feedback for hotel: My wife and I have been living nearby for many years, and we wanted to enjoy a special experience away from home. We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and overall our experience was excellent. 1. Staff & Service The staff was absolutely outstanding – kind, professional, and always ready to help. I especially appreciated the 24/7 support through the WhatsApp chat, which made it easy to solve everything without phone calls. A special mention goes to Ms. Hi from Issan, who works at the bar. Her warm and professional attitude truly stood out. I travel a lot in Thailand, and this level of hospitality is rare to find. 2. Cleanliness The cleanliness of the hotel and the housekeeping service were impeccable. Everything was spotless, and there is nothing to complain about. 3. Location & Facilities The hotel is located in an amazing spot with an unforgettable view over the entire bay directly from the pool. The property is modern, well-maintained, and offers a wonderful atmosphere. Food & Dining The food and service were excellent – nothing to criticize here. 5. Areas for Improvement However, a few things unfortunately left us disappointed. Considering the price of meals and room service, it was unacceptable to repeatedly receive Thai chili dishes with dead flies and insects floating in them. This was truly unpleasant. In the room, the heavy glass ceiling lamps were placed too low – we hit our heads several times when getting up in the morning. We also could not understand why there was no handheld bidet spray in the bathroom, especially given that we are in a Thai hotel in Asia, where it is considered a hygienic standard. Lastly, one evening we were disturbed by a drunk guest.

Our stay at COMO Point Yamu in Phuket was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. The view from the outdoor pool was simply breathtaking — like something out of a dream. What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the staff. Every single team member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Location: it's isolated from the more crowded places on the island. This could be a plus for some people, I would have preferred to be closer to markets and other attractions.

Modernist style but definitely with a Thai feel. Everything was great. Staff are first class, the food is amazing (bought the Como cookbook), and the pool area is fantastic.Three large pools one for children, one for families and one for adults all with fantastic views. Works really well.

Lovely and well kept property. Food and drinks are expensive so do keep that in mind. It was quiet and off the beaten track but still easy enough to get Taxis from. Highly recommend for a short getaway of relaxation.

Hotel is amazing! It’s set in the most beautiful location and the staff are so so wonderful! I had hurt my knee and they were so helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. My suite was gorgeous. Special thanks to the spa staff who helped my during yoga and with the most amazing massage and added a herbal compress that helped me knee! Breakfast was delicious and healthy! I will be back!

Amazing experience and impeccable service. Loved the pool and sunset view, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is also extremely attentive to guest needs.

I traveled there solo, and they tool great care of me. The staff is amazing. The property is gorgeous. The beach is a short walk from the property. The resort is a bit of a way from Old Phuket town, which was perfectly fine for me. The hotel arranged it any time I left the property. Wonderful place!

It was a wonderful stay throughout. Were welcomed from the get-go and the staff were courteous always and informed about events in and around the area. The front desk accommodated our late checkout request and even refunded the amount since we had an issue with a water leak one day in the bathroom. Simple gestures always go a long way especially with the hospitality industry. We look fwd to staying here again. The property has an amazing view of the bay. The only downside is it is a little far from downtown Phuket and Pa Tong but nothing a Grab app couldn’t fix with cabs.

WOW such a wonderful hotel , we had the such a wonderful stay totally chilled. We were upgraded to a pool suite which was so nice ... enjoyed every moment yook advantage of the relaxing bath weapped up in our robes and ordered room service the second night. The first night totally enjoyed the Thai restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble the staff were amazing We will be back

COMO Point Yamu Phuket is one of THE BEST hotels I have ever stayed at!! The hotel staff was AMAZING- from The hostess Keng who greeted us at breakfast and helped us arrange a stay at COMO Bangkok (due to our love of this hotel), to Jaeb in the Thai restaurant who taught us Thai and made us feel very welcome, to the front desk staff- Bonus and Oui who were always helpful, to Boss the towel guy at poolside and Boom who took us on a beach walk, I can not say enough about this hotel. My twin and I celebrated a milestone birthday here and we came back after a long day sightseeing to a cake, Thai friendship bracelets and a beautifully handwritten note from the staff! What a CLASSY HOTEL! I would definitely recommend staying here!!

Remote and perfect get away from crowds. But close to the water and beach front. Lots of areas to go besides your room to view surrounding nature. Hotel decorations and building materials matched the environment around it - so in this case, water and greenery. Staff were not just friendly but actually greeted me by name and got to know me. Sure I was there for 6 days but still - never had this type of stay. There were several free activities - yoga and beach walks - which were great. There were several paid activities but I didn't do them (Thai cooking) as I'd taken Thai cooking classes before. I would hope to come back to this location! it's amazing.
