Helen was a gracious host - highly recommend the Brandon View House B&B!
A wonderful B&B with views of rolling hills and pastures. Helen, the host, was very attentive and had everything ready for us upon checkin. I loved that she took our breakfast order and set up dining times the night before. We just walked downstairs to the dining area and were immediately served a delicious breakfast. Very clean, quiet and well decorated room. Her own paintings added to the charm. Will definitely recommend to friends and hope to come again!
We had a lovely stay at the Brandon View House. Breakfast was excellent and the room was cute and comfortable. The host was also lovely and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area!
We began our 8 days in Ireland by staying here after a drive down the coast from Dublin airport. Helen was thorough in communicating where she would leave the key since she had to be away the time we would arrive. The comfortable and welcoming ambiance was lovely and the sunset exquisite. There was a family staying there a few nights and sharing coversation in the living room helped navigate some of our next adventures. Dunbrody famine ship being one of them as this was so close-that was a great experience, too. Helen’s breakfast area and meal itself was grand! Side note-upon dropping my drivers license under the bed, I alerted Helen and she successfully found it & mailed it to our location 2 days out. I highly recommend staying here-maybe for more than one night if you’ve time.
Very quiet location with superb views. Excellent breakfast with gluten free toast available as a bonus. Very friendly personal service. Outside area ideal for T'ai Chi!
Helen was wonderful! Thank you!!
The staff was great! We really enjoyed the country setting and sheep grazing nearby.
Goede tussenstop op het platteland. Rustige ligging , verzorgde kamer met prima ontbijt. Gastvrij onthaal. Beperkte mogelijkheden om s'avonds te eten in de buurt. Altijd nog een rit met de auto nodig van 10-20 minuten.
Super lovely place
Picture perfect! Helen is the quintessential hostess!
Great place in the country but super close to New Ross. Helen was very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh homemade selections!
Very friendly host very good cook good parking lovely country location easy to find
What a beautiful little B&B. The host was so kind and helpful. Everything was immaculate. The breaks was delicious. The area is very rural which we loved. It looked like something out of a painting.
Helen was a great host!
Fabulous B&B. Helen is an amazing host. Loved the breakfasts in the gorgeous sunroom. Particularly appreciated that the room and the whole B&B was scent free.
Wonderful host, clean and attractive property and very tasty and bountiful breakfast.
Excellent location, Helen is a lovely woman and will go out of her way to make sure you have a good stay.
Super étape. Tres bon accueil. Bonne literie Excellent petit déjeuner
Superb accommadation and very friendly Host.
Beautiful grounds, clean room, tasty breakfast.
This one of the best B&B stays we have been to. Helen is such a wonderful hostess. The house was immaculate. Her breakfast was delelicious. We would highly recommend this place.
Very wonderful stay for us in the countryside at Brandon View. The owner Helen was wonderful, and the breakfast was superb. Tons of selections for food the next morning. We loved her two dogs that were outside of the property when we went to the patio.
We had an amazing stay. Helen and her husband are so friendly, helpful and just genuinely lovely people. The room we had was fabulous and the breakfast was the best breakfast we have ever had. I thoroughly recommend this B&B the views and the gardens are amazing too. We will definitely be re-booking the next time we go back to this part of Ireland.
Our host was wonderful! The views were excellent and the facilities were clean and beautiful.
Amazing. Very helpful
We loved everything about this place!, Gorgeous part of Ireland, who knew Carlow was so beautiful??, Bed great, Breakfast wonderful. Gluten free stuff for me and they kindly had bikkies for tea for me as well. Everything spotless. Great tea coffee making facilities upstairs for guests. Lovely place to chill downstairs. Brilliant local info from the owner. Gorgeous breakfast area. I would go back again tomorrow if i could.
Great breakfast. We had a nice stay. It was clean and friendly
Very attractive rural setting. Great home-cooked Irish breakfast. Helen was very accommodating and took the time to write out detailed instructions so we could get to our next destination. Very highly recommended.
Helen was very welcoming and helpful with directions. Breakfast was amazing!! This place shows how friendly the Irish are
This was a lovely location out in the country. Room was clean and bright. Breakfast was wonderful. The down side there are no restaurants close by and the location is difficult to find with out GPS using location coordinates not street address. Also our room was up a flight of stairs to the 2nd floor carrying suitcases.
Lovely place Nice breakfast and friendly attitude
Beautiful home, very welcoming. Great accommodations and an outstanding setting.
Worth the money. Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. Would stay here again.
Oh wow. If rural Ireland is on you bucket list, this place is PERFECT. BEAUTIFUL B&B with great country views, conveniently located to Killkenny and other quaint towns. It is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth it. We ate at an excellent nearby restaurant called The Waterside. Oh, they have 3 dogs that greet you at first, and Fred the Basset is a troublemaker. Not really, they are fantastic dogs, Fred is just learning the rules of the house and is a real joy to be around. Plenty of room in our room, spacious bath, excellent stay. This was our favorite B&B on our 10 day trip.
Lovely spot with top-notch service and a delicious breakfast. Our room had a perfect view of Brandon Hill. Easy 30-40 min drive from Kilkenny. Wifi was down and the water pressure cut out during my shower, but the hostess was extremely gracious and we enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful stay with a sweet, gracious host... she could be famous for her brown bread and rhubarb jam!! The whole experience was great!
Warmth and relaxing and very homely
Really comfortable and welcoming. Excellent advice about local area.
Great welcome, great food, very comfortable and clean
This is a very cozy B&B and Helen is a gracious host. The room was comfortable for our family of 4. Breakfast was delicious! It was a little isolated and tricky to find.
Helen, the owner is a fabulous host and makes you feel instantly welcome. The B&B is very clean and the views are amazing. The breakfast was delicious and overall this was a great stay - would definitely return if in the area.
Too far from city
Nice overnight for our first night in Ireland. Owner may want to look at training her dogs not to urinate on guests belongings (while we were loading the car to leave). Google maps also took us to the wrong location.
We stayed here when in a nearby town for a wedding. The room was very nice and bright and we'll presented. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. I forgot my bracelet in the room and the owner was so helpful in returning this to me. I would definitely stay again.
Helen was the perfect host. Very helpful with area places to visit and eat (dinner). Super nice views, quiet, off street parking, and dogs to greet us upon arrival. Very nice breakfast with lots to choose from. Highly recommend.
My two friends and I stayed at the Brandon View House B&B for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer! The B&B is nestled in these green rolling hills that have sheep! You can hear them softly bleating, but it isn't a distraction. The room was comfortable and we were able to get a great night's sleep. When Helen (the owner) found out that we would be leaving too early to get breakfast, she offered to get up a little bit early and set out cereal, coffee, tea, juice and toast for us. But, you'll want to stay for the breakfast since everything is locally grown!
Mary our hostess was great. Nothing seemed too much for her. With a beautiful little Westy who chaperoned us around the property and showed us the two donkeys in the back paddock and a tremendous breakfast we had a wonderful stay.
