De situatie, vriendelijke ontvangst en ontbijt in mooie serre. Mooie inrichting.

Jammer dat er geen koffie in de kamer gezet kon worden, ook omdat het ontbijt pas vanaf 9 uur mogelijk is. De diner-prijs is voor ons hoog en er moet vooraf beslist worden of je wilt dineren.

Das Restaurant bitet nur ein Menü. Bei den Vospeisen Foie Canard excellent. Bei den Hauptgängen nu 2 Wahlmöglichkeiten Perlhuhroulade oder Fischröllchen. Perlhuhn wegen Trockenheit zurückgegangen, Menü wirde dennoch voll abgerchnet 3 Gänge für 85 EUR. Das Restaurant so insgesamt eine Enttäuschung. Das Hotel war voll, beim Dinner deutlich wenig Gäste.Offenbar gibt gute Alternativen in der Umgebung.

Heel gezellige sfeer, zeer mooi park. Voor mijn zoontje de eerste keer slapen in een soort kasteel, hij vond het heel indrukwekkend allemaal!

Het eten was lekker, verfijnd, maar zonder meer. Daardoor vond ik de 80€ prijs voor 3gangen in mijn beleving iets te duur. Zeker als je twee dagen een (bijna) hetzelfde menu eet aan die prijs.

Cadre extraordinaire, inattendu et exceptionnel. Pour le petit déjeuner dans le jardin d'hiver, le service et le choix est parfait. L'acceuil du directeur et de sa compagne son parfait. Le Directeur a même apporté son aide pour nous ramener en ville, les sociétés de taxis étant particuliièrement mauvaises lors de ce week end festif. A REFAIRE

Machine à café dans la chambre. L'heure de rentrée est limitée à 23.30 hr, ce qui n'est pas facile pour notre activité

Accueil chaleureux personnalisé. Cadre magnifique chargé d’histoire. Buffet petit-déjeuner copieux et varié. Dîner de qualité, personnel aux petits soins. Le couple Rodrigues est très sympathique.

Manque peut-être une télévision dans la chambre, surtout en période de coupe du monde… Mais ce n’est pas très important.

I don't even know where to start. The location is incredible, in the middle of the forest. Mr. Alexander and his wife were extraordinary. The food was very good, the staff was super friendly.

Magnifique château chaleureux, complètement hors du temps. Accueilli comme un prince ! Idéal pour se ressourcer... Les propriétaires et le personnel sont très sympas ! La cuisine est fantastique. ❤️

A truly memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was excellent with delicious local ingredients from nearby villages, and the château itself was beautifully decorated and full of charm. Staying in such a fancy historic setting felt very special and unlike an ordinary hotel stay. Highly recommended!

Chateau d'Hassonville is very romantic place that takes you to another era. We were warmly received.

Het personeel was heel aardig en namen alle moeite om te zorgen dat je een bijzondere ervaring hebt. Verder was het eten in het restaurant ook ontzettend lekker.

Lieu reposant, calme et propre. Les hôtes sont très agréables et serviables ! Nous reviendrons c’est une certitude.

Le château d Hassonville,c est toute une ambiance! Une expérience a vivre au moins une fois dans sa vie! Le lieux est magnifique, je recommande a tous ceux qui veulent voire des étoiles dans les yeux de leur petite fille. L équipe sur place est très agréable et les chambres calmes et confortable.le restaurant vous sert une cuisine raffinée et sans chichi. On est sur un Gastro terroir classique. Le domaine est superbe et promet une jolie balade.

In het donker wat moeilijk te vinden, navigatie (Google maps) liet ons te ver doorrijden.

Alles, de gastvrijheid de liefde voor het kasteel het fantastische ontbijt de natuur rondom het kasteel en het heerlijke stijlvolle restaurant met fantastisch eten en vooral de kaastafel echt geweldig en wat een overvloed aan keuze.

Nous avons trouvé un lieu de repos magnifique loin de la vie trépidante et bruyante de la ville de Liège. Nous n’avons rien à dire sur l’établissement excepté qu’il faisait trop chaud dans la chambre. Le personnel est très sympathique et accueillant, la nourriture de qualité de première fraîcheur.

Lovely old fashioned service from such a great family run hotel. Sumptious period property, clean well appointed rooms and beautiful peaceful grounds. Breakfast was superb. Quite simply our favourite hotel. Excellent value for money.

Great place and the owner/ host was excellent and very accommodating, even though we arrived late due to autobahn problems in Germany.

Hard to find anything wrong. We weren’t so impressed by the main course at dinner. But on the other hand the cheese cellar was great!

Very nice place for a quiet and peaceful weekend. The Chateau still has it old charms and a beautiful interior. The team is amazing and the service was outstanding!

A very beautiful castle nestled in immaculate grounds. Alexandre and his wife are very welcoming hosts.

Very friendly people, very helpful. Breakfast is simple but nice quality food, Induction plate is provided, in case you like to bake eggs or bacon yourself. Diner was great, enjoyed the food a lot. Cosy interiors, with open wood fires. Big park to make a nice walk around the castle.

Exceptionnel environment, but room and bathroom a little oldish and simple. Breakfast served at 9 am, that's a little late. Owners very welcoming. Porto wine served free in the room...

Wonderful place, a very cosy and beautiful garden for long walks. It's not cheap but very good value for money.. Everything is personalized (even the menu card).. The team is great and friendly. Food is french cuisine,very refined!

Nothing much.. the building is old, but the rooms are clean but have been upgraded until a point that the windows are not in a great state anymore. But that is a detail compared to those authentic wooden stairs...

Fabulous location in the countryside. Large spotlessly clean room. Exceptional menu & restaurant. We've never had the experience we had at the chateau after choosing the cheese option - the cheese room was an extraordinary experience! We were made to feel very welcome by the chateau owners, who made our stay that little bit more special.

The choice to spend the weekend in Chateau d'Hassonville was made by me after thorough research of photos and reviews of different chateaus in Belgium. I wanted something special as a birthday present for my husband. And my expectations didn't let me down. The atmosphere and the setting were very peaceful and romantic. The medieval 17th century castle, the lake and 55 hectares of vast land stir your imagination and senses. Once you get inside you can browse around its endless living-rooms decorated with a slight touch of those times (even the old carpets have a touch of history), walk up the wooden stairs to the rooms (each has its own fleur) or sit in the lounge or on the terrace overlooking the surroundings. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a garden view. It was rather small but very cosy. The colours in the interior were very soft and pleasant to the eye (even the bed cover had a pattern of mint, pale pink and peach that, to tell the truth, are my favourite). The wadrobe was hidden inside the wall in the place that once used to be a window that adds to its charm. There were also two small bottles of water (still and carbonated) which was nice and a jar with port wine for those who like it sweet. The bathroom didn't have a shower, only a bath, but if you want romance what can be better than a bath for two! In the evening we had a three-course dinner (you should book a table in advance) and it was splendid. The service was very good despite the fact that some waitresses don't speak English (only French) but they do their best to make you welcome. The dishes were made to perfection. Even though at first I was slightly disappointed by the fact that they ran out of baby lobster that we had ordered, we got a starter that was not on the menu based on our preferences and it was adorable. And, besides, we got drinks on the owner as a compensation due to that slight inconvenience. And the wine selection is very extensive.

A slight disadvantage is that there are no mosquito nets on the windows so be ready to have a "guest" at night 😉

Het kader (kasteel) was een unieke ervaring. Hier en daar kleine minpuntjes, eigen aan een kasteel.

The hosts were so welcoming and warm-hearted. In the beginning, I was a bit overwhelmed when Alexander greeted us by handshake, because I didn't expect that, but was surprised in a good way! The breakfast is a blast, with so many different choices in bread, delicious eggs, and one of the best orange juices o had in a while. Thank you for having us!

A night in this place is something everybody has to do in their life. Simply fantastic

Mad og drikke var for dyrt I forhold til kvaliteten. Gælder også værelset. Men parken var flot og slot fanatikere vil elske stedet.

Didn’t get an explanation of where things were. Didn’t even know there was a bar or other things to do there. Was shown to our rooms and that’s it. No other information given about the grounds. That would have been nice or even given a map or pamphlet.

Amazing place with a very special atmoshpere, a real time travel. Very friendly owner, very good hospitality.

Too late breakfast (from 9.00), it wouldn't be a problem if coffee was available for coffee-lovers.:)

The room was big enough, also the bathroom. The room was cozy altho it was kind of old, but it's ok since we were in a castle. The restaurant experience was really nice :)

Rooms quite old, maybe they can invest in a TV or frigobar or better furniture.

We had an amazing experience. The Chateau and the surrounding grounds are beautiful...like living in a fairy tale. The owners and staff are very kind and welcoming. The private hot tub and sauna are very relaxing and serene. The experience of eating dinner here is something we will never forget. The food was incredible and presented perfectly. Every course of our meal was like a work of art and the flavors were unforgettable. This truly has been an experience of a lifetime and we cannot recommend staying here high enough.

Amazing place - wish we had more time to explore but arrived late at night (it’s a bit difficult to find in the dark). It’s worth a stay - did not get to try breakfast but it must be as wonderful as the accommodations! We wished there had been a coffee/hot pot on our room. It would have made the stay even more pleasant. The view of the lake from our room was a lovely.

Great setting and beautiful building. The room was very comfortable with friendly staff. Self service breakfast was unusual in that any hot food was prepared by yourself.

Wonerul peaceful location, great breakfast, need a car though

This was the perfect stop over while exploring some towns and castles in the Ardennes. From the trip through the forest up the driveway to the castle, to being greeted in person after driving through the gates, the experience was magical. The castle is situated on a large private grounds that you are free to explore and makes you feel like you are in Sherwood Forest. We would absolutely stay here again.
