Ao Nang Baan Suan Resort vs Similar Hotels

Mixed sentiments about room comfort with reports of hard beds and some cleanliness issues.

Rooms/bungalows repeatedly described as very large, modern, with high ceilings, well equipped and attractive — multiple guests called the bungalows 'dreamlike' and very comfortable.

Mixed room experiences: some guests report spacious, comfortable rooms, while others note issues such as poor soundproofing, beds with wheels that move and occasional maintenance/AC problems.

Several reviews pointed out small room sizes and maintenance issues.

Several reviews mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dirty rooms and bathrooms.

Generally reported as clean (several mentions of 'very clean' rooms and well-maintained grounds) but there are specific negative notes: some guests reported unchanged sheets and one report of a strong sewage smell in the bathroom. Mixed but overall good.

Mixed reports: several guests praise clean rooms and daily housekeeping, but at least one detailed complaint about dirty sheets, poorly cleaned bathroom and general hygiene issues lowers the score.

Issues were mentioned with pests and overall cleanliness was brought into question.

Some reviews indicated the hotel is a bit far from town but enjoyed the quiet setting.

Peaceful, set in nature and away from Ao Nang hustle (many guests liked this). Repeatedly noted as remote — far from the beach and some restaurants — so location is excellent for quiet but less convenient for dining or beach access.

Generally favourable: convenient for shops, food stalls and local attractions; some guests note it is a walk or scooter ride (15–30 minutes) from the main beach which is acceptable to many but a drawback for others.

The location was frequently praised for being peaceful and conveniently situated near shops.

Most reviews praised the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Consistently praised: staff described as very friendly and helpful, owner gave strong local recommendations and service was noted as professional and pleasant.

Multiple reviews highlighted friendly and attentive staff.

Breakfast options varied in quality, with some reviews finding them lacking.

Breakfast was described as expensive and limited by multiple guests (one called it overpriced and rarely ordered). A few positive notes (tasty yogurt bowl) but overall F&B seen as costly and minimal.

Limited hotel F&B: hotel does not consistently offer breakfast for some guests, but many note good, inexpensive local food nearby and easy access to halal options.

The restaurant quality received high praise.

Positive feedback on the pool and transportation options.

Beautiful, well-kept garden and a pleasant pool were frequently praised; small, intimate property with a nice lobby/bar area. (Some suggested eco improvements and a staffed bar/restaurant would be welcome, but core amenities are excellent.)

Amenities receive criticism: small or cold pool, pool maintenance/closures, no hotel breakfast offered in some cases and missing items (e.g., hairdryer) reported.

Amenities were generally well-liked, but specific issues like air conditioning were noted.

Good value for the facilities offered, despite some issues.

Several guests mentioned a price/quality mismatch for some items (notably the breakfast) and felt some services were overpriced, indicating weaker value for money for add-ons.

Mixed but generally positive: several guests say the hotel is good value for price and helpful staff add value; a minority felt it was overpriced for what was offered.

Value for money was appreciated despite some limitations.
