Reviewed Aug 27, 2026In the heat of the summer Relais Metelli is an oasis, cool and welcoming. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and extremely well equipped, with electronic controls for everything from the temperature to lighting and the exterior blinds. The hotel is in a quiet but convenient location near the station and a short walk from the city centre. The staff were very helpful, breakfast excellent. The room was spotlessly clean. The hotel has a lift.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Being a freestanding villa, it was wonderfully quiet. I loved waking up to the sound of birds and the fresh mountain air, while still being just two minutes from the train station and a short walk into the medieval town. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were charming and incredibly helpful. A lovely small boutique hotel in a perfect location.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026I cannot recommend this utterly charming and boutique resident highly enough. The elegant house with just 12 rooms oozed calm and quality as soon as we arrived, and enhanced very much by the warm and friendly welcome we received from Sarah. Our spacious room and the public areas had been designed to the highest standards to match the appealing external appearance of the elegant villa. Just minutes from the station (ideal for our rail travels around Italy) and short walk to the delightful centre of the small town of Foligno. Easily accessible to the nearby and crowded tourist attractions of Perugia, Spoletto and Assissi but certainly away from the tourist trail! We could not have chosen a better place to stay for our time in Umbria.

The breakfast was very good with lots of choices, meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, fresh pastry, breads, 4 kinds of juice, and it was served from 7-10 am. They also had umbrellas that we could use which was handy because it was raining while we were there. They had parking for our car.
