Location, the food available for breakfast and lunch. Wine list was great. Our Room was lovely and had great views.

After our Rome flight was cancelled and we were unable to get another flight for two days, we decided to make our way from Rome to Santa Marinella the seaside resort. On arrival we met Caesar at reception he was so helpful and informative throughout our stay, nothing being too much trouble. We were upgraded to a balcony room and the views were amazing. The hotel was spotlessly clean, very well presented and so much attention to detail both in the hotel and the grounds. The grounds were magical with palm trees, tropical shrubs, lit up with beautiful fairy lighting. All staff were friendly and the food delicious. Highly recommended, we will definitely visit again. Being only one stop on the train from Civitavecchia Port, great before or after a cruise when you want a relaxing beachfront stay.

Excellent location close to, but not in, the busy area. Gelato, cafes and supermarket are close by. The staff are very welcoming and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Food was great - breakfast , lunch and dinner. Views were stunning. Our stay was a highlight of our trip to Italy

Our honest review of our two-day stay at Villa delle Palme in Santa Marinella, Italy. We chose this hotel because it is located about an hour and a half from Rome’s main airport and only 15 minutes from the Port of Civitavecchia, where we were embarking on a Celebrity cruise. It was a convenient stop before our cruise and gave us a chance to enjoy a few relaxing days by the sea. The hotel itself is one of the prettiest properties in the area. Santa Marinella is a charming but quiet seaside town, especially compared to nearby Rome. We visited during the third week of August and found it to be more of a local beach destination, with many visitors coming from Rome for the day. The beaches were lovely. We spent our time at Perla Beach, about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. For €70, we received two sunbeds, an umbrella, towels, access to showers, and use of a very nice beach restaurant. We had originally reserved beach chairs at the hotel’s beach area, but we found the access to the water difficult and potentially unsafe for less confident swimmers. Entry required walking down stairs directly into deep water, with no sandy shoreline and often rougher waves. In contrast, Perla Beach offered an easy sandy entrance to the sea and more amenities, making it a much better option in our opinion. The hotel provides breakfast each morning. The quality of the food was good, but the selection was somewhat limited, and items were not consistently replenished toward the end of service. One of our favorite touches was the coffee machine in the room, which was a wonderful way to start the day. We also appreciated the heated towel rack in the bathroom, perfect for drying bathing suits and warming towels. The toiletries provided, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and moisturizer, were excellent and had a lovely scent. The beds were very comfortable, with soft cotton sheets, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well.

Our room’s shower had a modern walk-in design with minimal glass, which looked attractive but allowed water to spread easily onto the bathroom floor. Additional glass or better enclosure would make it more practical. The staff were kind and accommodating when we arrived early. Although check-in officially begins at 2:00 p.m., they stored our luggage and were able to prepare our room about an hour early, which we greatly appr There were, however, a few areas where we felt improvements could be made. Breakfast ends at 10:00 a.m., and while waiting for our room, my husband took a croissant from the breakfast area near the end of service. We were informed that there would be an additional €2 charge. While we understand that breakfast is reserved for registered guests, the interaction felt unnecessarily strict, especially as there appeared to be plenty of food remaining and we were visibly tired from travel. Small gestures of hospitality can leave a lasting impression. Another concern was that room numbers were displayed openly on breakfast tables. From a guest privacy and security perspective, we feel it would be better not to make room numbers visible in public areas that indicate who is in or out of their room. We would also suggest that the hotel consider offering beach towel rentals with a refundable deposit, as many hotels do. Guests were offered the option to purchase towels for €25 each, but for a hotel in this price range, approximately €500 per night, we feel complimentary or refundable towel service would be more appropriate. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated many aspects of the hotel, particularly its beauty, comfort, and location near the cruise port. However, considering the price, we did not feel the experience offered enough value to justify the cost, and we would likely choose a different accommodation if we returned to the area.

An amazing hotel and restaurant. And the perfect place to stay prior or after your cruise. The ability to just simply step into the Mediterranean right from the deck area of the hotel was the best way to cool down after touring Rome in July.

Ayrıca otelin gönderdiği mailde otoparkı olmadığı ve ücretli otoparklar olduğu bilgisi almamıza rağmen hiçbir ücret ödemeden arabamızı hep otelin önünde koyacak şekilde yer bulduk. Sorun yaşamadık.

Otel yenilenebilir. Otele gelmeden önce bir mail aldık ve otelin 'plaj'ını kullanabileceğimize dair bir mail aldık. Otele vardığımızda ise kişi başı 15 euro karşılığında şezlong kullanabileceğimiz söylendi ve ödemek zorunda kaldık. Bu da tamam ama otelin plajı olarak söylenen yer son derece bakımsız bir beton alandı. Denize girmek çok çok zordu tamamen kayalıklardan girmek zorunda kalıyorsunuz ki bu da asla ücret hak eden bir durum değil. Uzun süre kalsam problem olabilirdi ama deniz tatili yapmak için bu otele gelinmez.

If you are not Italian, this hotel is probably not for you. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are lovely, the views are breathtaking and the front desk and housekeeping staff were fantastic. The restaurant, beach and bar service did not match the rest of the hotel at all. Very unhelpful, inattentive - almost annoyed that we were there. What I did notice was the exceptional service and attention given to Italians that were there. Ironically, we met another couple from the UK that was staying there at the same time and they had the exact same experience so we know it was not just us. Anyway, the area is gorgeous but just know these things in advance.

This hotel is the perfect place to recharge prior to the flight home from Rome's FCO airport. We stayed here years ago for one night prior to our flight. In 2026, we made it two nights. Next time we will stay three nights to have two full days of relaxation by the sea. The hotel's small private beach club is wonderful. (Use their beach, not the public beach.). The views from our corner room were amazing. The attached photo from our room does not do the view justice.

The service at their Bianca restaurant (dinner) was a disappointment. I will write a separate review on that.

While staying in Rome we came out to Santa Marinella for a night because of a wedding at the Castello Odescalchi. The VdP looked like the best local option. Our corner room on the top floor was very pleasant. The view, the interior decor, the roomy bathroom--they were all good. We were happily surprised to find dispensers for Ortigia shampoo, body lotion, etc in the bathroom, esp. in what is only a 3-star hotel. But then we were disappointed to find that the dispensers had been refilled with lotion, shampoo etc that did the job but were not nearly as nice. We had only one lunch in the restaurant, which was overpriced but ok. One would not come to Sta Marinella for the swimming but the sun beds are pleasant and towels are provided.

Villa Della Palme was an excellent last day for us in Italy. We had a nice room with a beautiful view over the Mediterranean. The hotel is clean and has a great seafood restaurant. The grounds are well kept and there is a great lounge terrace at the seaside. The hotel is definitively a pearl in Santa Marinella.

Well positioned hotel outside of Rome. Shuttle from the airport and the next day a Shuttle to the cruise terminal. Room was very clean with a beautiful view of the sea. All the staff spoke fluent English. They had a restaurant that served excellent food. we chose this hotel because we had been to Rome many times and preferred to go directly onto our cruise.

A lovely quaint hotel right on the beach at Santa Marinella. We stayed for only a night prior to a cruise, which was a much nicer option than busy Civitavecchia. The standard rooms are small but well appointed and with excellent bathrooms. The breakfast room is amazing with beautiful sea views and excellent options. Parking is readily available out the front of the hotel using the app for payment only. Service and assistance from staff was excellent, went truly above and beyond.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Villa delle Palme. This was pre-cruise so we were only there one night, but I could definitely see a longer stay there in the future. The property is a lovely seaside hotel that had very nice outdoor spaces with comfortable seating and breathtaking views. The view from our room was gorgeous and the room itself was clean and well appointed.

Old world charm and simplicity coupled with superb views made Villa Del Palme the ideal place to wind down after a jam packed travel schedule. Sipping spritz on a lounge by the ocean, dining on great meals while gazing across the stunning ocean views and staff always on hand ready to assist.

As we were driving to the property, my heart was in my mouth thinking there's no way this could be as beautiful as the pictures! I can tell you that not only is it as beautiful as the picture its beauty exceeds the pictures! And the only thing that makes the pictures dull is the bright sunshiny kind staff! From check-in to dinner to asking room stewards for help there was always a smile and always a kind word! We're already planning our next trip back to this property!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa delle Palme. We chose to stay in Santa Marinella prior to our cruise as we knew we would be jet-lagged and wanted a quieter place. We chose an ocean view room with a king sized bed and a balcony. The room was decorated simply and was clean. The bed was comfortable. I had requested distilled water prior to our arrival and it was waiting in our room. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We were leaving after checkout, so stored our bags with the front desk. The kind cleaning person brought down a small item that we'd left behind and it was waiting for us with our bags. The breakfast was very tasty (excellent croissants and cappuccino) and the breakfast room was nice and sunny with a view of the sea. We ate at Bianca, the hotel restaurant for dinner. The food was very good, but the service was rather inconsistent (they forgot to bring our pasta dish).

There was a slight issue with my reservation that was through a third party. I called the hotel directly and they assured me it was good. The location is really nice and I would like to go back in the summer. The hotel and restaurant staff were excellent. It was a great place to stay prior to going on a cruise.

After selecting this hotel thru a 3rd party website we were contacted by the hotel directly. Ceasare and Simon were so helpful offering valuable information. They were very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. It was a 5 star experience. The restaurant offered delicious food and a wonderful view. I would love to go back in the summer months when the weather is better because there is so much to see and do.

Top Location direkt am Strand von Santa Marinella. Zimmer mit Meerblick, Restaurant, Terrasse- alles läd zum Verweilen ein und ist freundlich gestaltet. Der Empfang und der Service waren herzlich und zuvorkommend. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Urlaub sowohl am Strand als auch mit Ausflug in die Stadt Rom. Zum Bahnhof bin ich etwa 10 Min gelaufen. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Doch wir waren auf dem Weg nach Civitavecchia aufs Schiff und nur zur Vorübernachtung hier. Doch wir kommen sicher wieder.

We were greeted and able to check in 2 hours early. Our room provided a spectacular view of the sea. Would recommend dining in downtown Santa Marinella to add to the experience. Easy check in and out and they arranged for transportation to the Port and successful boarding of our Celebrity Ascent.

Had a lovely 2 night stay before our cruise. Hotel reception were helpful, friendly and accommodating. We stayed in ocean view rooms which were lovely with amazing views. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner which was lovely. Overall a wonderful stay with great service. Perfect start to our trip.

We stayed here a few days before our cruise. It was perfect. The staff was fantastic, the restaurant was wonderful and the rooms were nice size for Europe. The hotel was an easy walk to a great beach area and there are several good off-site restaurants to choose from. We took their shuttle to the cruise terminal and it was a quick 15-20 minute ride. All and all a great experience.

Very nice botique hotel just a short drive from cruise port Chivecchia. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Forgot our voltage converter and they immediately helped. Dinner was good and the Continental breakfast was ok. The room was simple but neat and clean.

This little gem is located in a fabulous position right on the clear sea . Spectacular views from hotel room and all around hotel across the sea . Has a lovely little restaurant as well . My only advice I could offer to the hotel would be to train the bar staff to go around the sunbed area asking if we would like some drinks . This did not happen once during my stay .im sure it would increase their sales too . I would definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting the area even if it’s just a few nights before picking up a cruise as we did. Very peaceful relaxing place I will definitely return .

Hotel is let down by the restaurant. Staff are somewhat surly; not overly accommodating > I had booked and confirmed a table in the shade for lunch, but was offered one in the sun. This was not an argument I was going to win. So I sat inside; at least the fettuccine was excellent. Breakfast is a bit sparse, additional/different fresh fruits would be nice. On a positive note: the view is stunning,; room and bedding very comfortable; air condition works wonders; and the large bathroom is well equipped and laid out. Towels very fluffy.

We stayed at Villa delle Palme after a 7 day cruise on MSC. From check in to check out, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. The hotel is beautifully situated on the water and is very luxurious. We dined at the restaurant one night which was excellent! The area is very peaceful and walking distance to great restaurants. We are very happy we chose Villa delle Palme and we highly recommend this establishment for anyone who is looking to stay in Santa Marinella!
