Easy check. Ena was very helpful. Organized taxis for us. Very comfortable beds, top class cleanliness. Great breakfasts
Very friendly couple. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room and breakfast Top notch. You won’t be disappointed here Also great advice about the area
Ina was a lovely host. The house is beautiful, and the shower much appreciated after a long day. Sheep grazing out the window, home-baked scones for breakfast. Just lovely.
Hostess was great property was nice and loved the downtown area.
Nice
Excellent caring couple takes care of this B&B. A lovely stay and comfortable rooms
Stayed at Lurgan house before excellent then still high standards now. Arrived in the afternoon Ina dropped us into town could have walked in its about 25 mins but there were heavy showers falling. Beautiful breakfast . Would highly recommend. Maura Willie
We had a nice couple of nights at Lurgan House. The property is not too far from the town. Friendly welcome and good breakfast.
Un poco alejada de westport, fue una parada que hicimos en nuestra ruta y nos gustó la población.
Excellent stay. Great hospitality. Amazing breakfast.
Nice area easy to find. Room was nice. Everything that we needed was in room
Very welcoming hosts who offered to give us a lift to town. Big clean room and nice breakfast.
Very friendly hosts who were friendly and delightful. The property was very clean and tidy and had good wi-fi cover.
Lovely place, close to town. Friendly, helpful hostess. Good facilites and lovely views. Comfy beds, nice and warm at this time of year.
Enjoyed my stay
cbristina was very welcoming and hellfull breakfast was fab lobely room spotless.
Wonderful place to stay. Host was amazing. Very accommodating and friendly
A wonderful experience in a very comfortable, friendly and quiet B&B. It was a lovely two nights, with an easy walk into Westport for dinner. The breakfast was comprehensive with a range of options cooked fresh daily. The scones were exceptional, don’t forget to ask for them when you stay! The owners Ena and Gerard couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. They checked in with us regularly, offering suggestions on sites to visit, restaurants and other destinations. Our experience was excellent and we would strongly recommend Lurgan House.
The Lurgan B&B was excellent. Ena, the host, was charming and helpful. The room was large, the bed comfortable and breakfast excellent. I would heartily recommend. Only point to note that the B&B is located approx 15 minutes walk away from downtown. It was not an issue for us - we walked home late at night without any issue.
Warm and welcoming host, lovely en-suite room and breakfast and a wonderful part of Ireland, lots to see and do.
Sehr hübsches Haus, erstklassiger Service. Gutes Frühstück (Kaffee, selbstgebackenes Brot...), sehr freundlich.
100 euros was an exceptionnal price according to hotels.com. After one week in Ireland, this B&B is quite expensive to what we had. They formerly gave us a room but the separate bathroom not en suite. Besides, we were hardly welcomed with basic info. Third, we had gastric problems after a average full irish breakfast. Be aware...
Lurgan House Westport is a place you would be more than happy to return to. A very hospitable check in, with coffee and apple tart. We were shown to our room which was large and bright. The shower room is small. A comfy chair in the room would be a welcome addition. The TV and tea making facility are good. Breakfast was excellent. The parking area is good. We found the stairs steep so if returning would request the downstairs bed room.
Very nice B&B and well located. A few minutes walk to town and close to Croagh Patrick. Hosts were nice and helpful with recommendations. Good breakfast.
Great hospitality fantastic place to stay
Our stay at Lurgan house was fantastic. We wish we had booked for longer. The home was beautiful and had so much character. Our room was clean and comfy. We enjoyed the view of the sheep across the road and the easy walk to get into town. Our hostess was very friendly and sweet. We couldn't have asked for better.
Room was very cold and only light sheets on bed
Beautiful country home along the River Boyne, a short drive to the town of Trim and an hour or so from Dublin. A long drive in from the main road is an 18th century home in beautiful condition with gardens, fields and farm animals around. Our room was immaculate, our breakfast was wonderful and our hosts were gracious and friendly. Wish we'd have stayed longer in this lovely spot.
Of all the hotels, I stayed at while I was in Ireland, this was heads and shoulders above the rest. If I could give it a 7, I would. Christina and Gerald were spectacular. In fact, I felt like I was staying with long lost friends. They were friendly and helpful, even offering to drive me to Castlebar one morning to help me obtain my grandfather’s birth certificate. Located off the road, it was totally quiet. The layout of their house was spectacular for having a B&B. They had a nice ‘lounge’ area for sitting, chatting, and having a cup of tea. Christina’s breakfast was lovely. The room was spacious, the view being excellent, and met all my needs. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the center of town. Once you learn the ropes, it’s quite easy and takes you through down a beautiful walking path.
We were late to arrive but were made to feel very welcome. Comfortable room and modern bathroom. Car park outside accommodation. Lots of breakfast choices.
Amazing. Great owners and a great place.
The stay was excellent would certainly come back here again
A clean, comfortable, quiet B&B that’s close to Westport town as well as the official Greenway parking lot. Great, comfy bed. Great selection of cereal and fresh fruit for breakfast but Ena cooked me up the full Irish breakfast which was delicious and set me up to climb Croagh Patrick; her husband even loaned me a climbing stick to take up the mountain. Wonderful warm hosts. I really enjoyed my stay here. Would re-book in a heartbeat.
The proprietor was fantastic!!!! she helped us find local hotspots, she got up early and fixed breakfast because we were leaving before the normal breakfast hours, and she was incredibly friendly and gracious!
great stay, warm and friendly. Ena was a lovely host. Wonderful breakfast. Ideal location. Would stay again
A great stay with great hosts. Hosts were so accommodating and friendly. We chose to stay a second night as we were so pleased with our stay.
Well presented, clean and friendly. Town is a short walk away but if going at night you would find a torch helpful as its set back from the road. Hot, quality breakfast, would stay again.
We are on holiday fron California, driving round Ireland. Lurgan House, has been one the best and nicest places we have stayed. Could have asked for a better hostess.
Sehr gemütliich eingerichtet. Kurze Fußwege in die Stadt und zum Kai über den Grünen Weg (Fuß- und Radweg abseits der Straße) ca. 20 Minuten.
We only stayed for one night as part of a tour of the west coast. Choice of eateries in Westport could have been better and they were all quite expensive compared with - say - Galway.
When we arrived, our room was not completely ready yet, but we were welcomed with a cup of coffee and the room was done while we waited. The hostess was very friendly and hospitable, breakfast was very nice. The Lurgan House is located outside the centre of Westport, but still walking distance. We enjoyed our stay very much!
This is a lovely B&B. Rooms are spotless clean. The hosts are friendly and prepare a perfectly cooked "to order" breakfast. I highly recommend this location for travelers of western Ireland. The quiet location is an easy drive to the town center and the harbor.
I returned to stay at Lurgan House again this year for a second time for two nights after having a great stay last year with friends. I did so because Ena operates a clean, convenient, hospitable bed and breakfast. Her Irish breakfast is cooked to order and is a good way to start your day with a view of Croagh Patrick not far from her back yard. The rooms I have stayed in both times were quiet, clean, nicely appointed with great showers. Highly recommend it.
Great bed and breakfast. Lovely property located close to the town. Owners were lovely people. Very friendly and helpful. Room and bed was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was great Would stay here again. Excellent value for the money.
This is a lovely little bed and breakfast only 15 mins walk from the centre of Westport. A taxi will only cost €6.00. Couple that run the B & B are so nice and are very relaxed about breakfast
Very nice house, lovely room, clean and pleasant décor, great hostess and perfect breakfast. Would stay in this B&B again.
Wonderful hospitality. Comfortable B&B. Ena is an excellent hostess. She helps you with anything you need.
What a wonderful find.Ena made us feel very welcome and provided us with local information. The B&B commanded a beautiful view from our bedroom window and afforded us some beautiful sunsets. The wonderful hospitality was matched by the cleanliness of the rooms and the delicious breakfasts. We can definitely recommend this B&B to all travellers. Outstanding!
Hostess was top notch. We got in at the last minute, having booked on line only minutes earlier and Ina took it I stride, with grace and unruffled warmth. Got her last room which was quite nice. This fine Lady got up ahead of schedule and served a perfect "full Irish" to allow for our early morning departure.
We stay for one night. Very quiet place to stay. 10 minutes walk to Main Street. Room nice and big with incredible comfortable bed :) Very good Irish full breakfast in price.
