Excellent pub/restaurant.
Nothing . All good. I've stayed at this place on more than one occasion. The staff are lovely, the bar and restaurant are great. The rooms are clean and comfortable, Will return next year.
Incredibly friendly staff Amazing home cooked food Lovely room
Nothing!
Excellent staff, great food and very comfortable room.
The breakfast was excellent. the location was perfect for our purposes
The shower was a bit on the small size and you could not use the sink at the same time as the shower as the water became scalding hot
Lovely traditional village pub serving good food, set in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
The room was clean and comfy but could do with a refresh.
Lovely stay, very friendly and helpful. Bikes stored in locked shed. Great breakfast.
All good
Friendly welcome, lovely food and breakfast
Beautiful pub in an exceptional village. Great food and very friendly helpful staff.
Room was cosy and to our taste but a little tight for space.
Fantastic staff , a big thank you to Alan 😊, great location , good food and comfortable bed.
Shower was hot but not much pressure. Toilet seat needs fixing.
Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice.
Northing!
We had a delightful stay with our 2 dogs. Welcoming staff, excellent accommodation and food. The village is quiet and well kept. Thank you Ye Olde George.
What is there not to like?
Lovely big room and the bed was extremely comfortable.
It's worth considering that this is a very old pub and the walls are very thin! Not the pub's fault but we were kept awake a lot of the night by the snoring and coughing of the man in the next room. I'll travel with ear plugs in future. Breakfast on Sunday finishes at 9.30am which may be a bit early for a Sunday? Anyway, didn't make it to breakfast after the interrupted night. Chose sleep instead after the man in the next room had woken up and stopped snoring!
Great old pub
Small car park
breakfast was well presented and many options given. Including porridge/granola/friut options & cooked breakfast was one of the best I’d had. Very delicious. Smashed avacado & poached eggs were cooked to perfection.. well done to all the staff involved.
The food was great, truly amazing breakfast, lots of choice with delicious fresh ingredients. Nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely old style pub
Nothing
Beautiful location, amazing food- excellent quality, delicious, good portion sizes. Had breakfasts and evening meals- all was exceptional. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable, toiletries good quality. Building is very old, lived the quirkiness
Dated decor in room- could do with an update Fan on wall outside going all night (quite noticeable) very hot weather, so a quiet fan in the room would have been good. Shower hit and miss with temperature.
The breakfast was generous and delicious. In particular, the service was exceptional - very friendly and attentive.
just one small issue - when using the toilet in my bedroom, the toilet seat wouldn't stay up!! This can easily be overcome with a replacement seat.
Nice big room in cosy ancient pub . Friendly staff and great breakfast .
The mattress was a bit soft and lumpy
Great food
All was good
Located in the lovely village of East Moen in the South Downs National Park. Both our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Staff were all very friendly.
Lovely old character Pub. Very friendly staff
A terrible smell coming from bathroom all the time, smelled like raw sewage, really needs to remedied.
Everything
The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was good. The rooms and the bathroom were pretty small.
The main issue we had was that the pub would not let us charge e-bikes because of fire safety risks. It would have been easily possible to run an extension cable outside to allow this and all other places we have been to have allowed this.
Wonderful historical Inn with all the olde charm of a beautiful village setting. Everyone on the staff team were so welcoming and lovely. We had a celebratory meal with family - roast dinner was so tasty and lovely. Extra gravy no problem, extra veggies. These are the extra things that make the difference and of course smiley welcoming team. We had breakfast too and there is plenty of choice. Delicious. It is the best place we have stayed in a long time. We will be back again. Thank you to the staff for your excellent care and attention to detail.

Good and clean rooms. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff.
No check in until 6pm.
The atmosphere and the history. Breakfast was excellent. Choice of beers were also excellent.
We got in at 8.30 on a Sunday evening, there was no food avilable so we had to make do with peanuts and crisps. The pub pub probably lost out on a reasonale income
Delicious food, good service, friendly staff. Comfortable accommodation.
Not able to check until 06.00 when the pub opened.
Really well situated. Rooms were fine and clean. Food was excellent, good choice of beers. Very good breakfast. Staff were friendly
Not much. Room decor a bit tired
Lovely pub with fantastic food, rooms very comfortable. Host was a real gem, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing.
Shower in my room was hard to adjust so water too hot.
Absolutely lovely pub. My room was quite big and clean. Great big tub (needed after a 18 miles hike). Food was amazing and so was the staff. It's a good, classic pub with a real 5 star staff, food and accomodation out in the countryside. Note for SDW hikers, it's a good 1.5 miles off the trail, so just know that and add to your total for the day!
Just very warm….but that’s not any fault of the Inn.
Hotel is very clean and very comfortable
did not open until after 6.00pm so could not check in, so resulted in us having dinner somewhere else
Very comfortable room. Hot drink options in the room with real milk and a teapot. The upscale toiletries were a nice surprise. Dinner was exceptional and the breakfast did not disappoint either.
Superb inn, sublime evening meal, extremely comfortable bed, very quiet location📍, generous carpark, excellent staff,
Nothing all superb
Very convenient for our stay. Bed was exceptionally confortable. The breakfast of full English was exceptional
Basic bathroom with small shower - it was the cheapest option!
The greeting, help and instructions were perfect. The pub food was great. The room was clean, easy to access, comfortable. The shower was hot.
Friendly staff. Nice location
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is first class. The facilities are good.
Great breakffast,lovely location
Nothing
Ye Olde George Inn is consistently good. Never disappoints. The staff are in a class above the normal, particularly Ian & Kay, both of whom are so welcoming so you feel it’s a home away from home.
Nothing.
Characterful pub with comfortable rooms in a lovely village next to the Downs. Cracking food too, served by very friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing.
Very comfortable room at a great price. Although above a pub on a Saturday night there was no loud noises from below. I was leaving before breakfast, but the owner kindly offered some alternatives that I could take with me.
Food (breakfast and dinner) were excellent - high quality for a pub, and well presented, plenty of interesting options. Service and surroundings of the restaurant were informal, comfortable, and relaxing.
On arrival everything was locked up until 6pm, so don't be early. Landlord was kind enough to let us in when we asked to use the facilities, but don't expect anyone to welcome you before 6pm.
Excellent dinner, good wines and great breakfast served here. And ultra staff. The pub is well renovated and surrounded by some of the finest countryside in the world. You feel like you're at home from home.
One small thing I suggest: get rid of the beds with footboards. I'm 6'3" and footboards disturb me at night.
The accommodation was fine, clean and tidy. Food was lovely and great atmosphere.
One of the bar staff.. miserable very unhelpful
The staff were friendly and efficient ; could not have been more helpful. The room; as described. Clean, charming, bed very comfortable. Bathroom, shower small but adequate. Bar and restaurant; good authentic atmosphere, just what you want from a village pub. Choice and quality of meals, very good. Breakfast, excellent.
As you’d expect, you hear some noise from the pub below but once the pub closed it was very quiet. It wasn’t a problem for us.
Despite its twee name Ye Olde George is a fantastic, and fantastically welcoming traditional country pub situated in an idylic (and idylically quiet) village. the food was excellent and breakfast outstanding.
Actually nothing!!
Great stay. Fabulous location and great friendly staff
Lovely - all food cooked to order so very fresh. Staff very friendly. We will be back again.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Room was a bit tired. Ensuite - shower was tiny, had to leave door open when using and was grubby in door grooves and shower rail support coming away had to be pushed back in place. Toilet seat would not stay up, constantly wanted to close even when in use. TV didnt work properly. Room was over bar, so very noisy until 11.45 when pub closed.
The ambience
Travelling for work. Location suited our purposes. Very friendly staff. Good pub atmosphere and pleasant bar food.
Very warm welcome. The bar was cosy and quite a few people enjoying themselves. The room was very comfortable. The evening meal probably the best we've ever experienced in a country pub. The tea making facilities included a teapot.
Wash basin was tiny but the shower too big and hard to get the temperature right. The air freshener in the room didn't smell very nice so we shut it in the wardrobe. We had to ask for a hair dryer. Don't get me wrong, this is a really decent place to stay and the staff are very thoughtful.
Super friendly and efficient staff. Great food, very accommodating, room and bathroom ticked all our needs. Would def come again! Thank you
All lovely
Lovely location for a quiet country break. Very friendly staff.
Breakfast
Welcome as came in at opening time
A character pub.
Roads in the area were closed due to Internet works.
Lovely pub and nice room in the pretty village of East Meon. Great service and good food.
Clean. Historical. Popular. Busy. Amazing walks. Beautiful walks in nature. Peaceful sleep. Fresh air.
A charming pub in a super location, it was pleasantly busy with friendly staff and delicious food. The chef was able to cater for my colleague's dietary requirements. The rooms were clean and cosy, the beds were comfortable. The village is quaint with lots of walking opportunities. A beautiful part of the country.
The fire doors could do with being oiled. The room next door to me had dogs and it was very noisy when they got up (at least 3 times) in the night to take them outside. This wouldn't put me off returning though.
Warm welcome in this spotlessly clean large country pub. Comfy bed, great breakfast, on site parking. Handy if you have an early/ late ferry from Portsmouth (23 mins).
Shower was a bit lacklustre, but also had a bath if you needed a proper soak. It’s an old building so not totally surprising.
the breakfast ,custom made to order, was one of the best. Alan and ian and the cheerful housekeeper made it a very good visit i had to leave sunday i had an urge to change my plans and stay an extra night but i couldnt However i will be back in december
i wish you hey carried swift ale a very good local beer
The food was absolutely delicious !!
The showere was very low and at my height I had to crouch to get under it.
Perfect upmarket pub in a beautiful village
Great pub with fantastic food and Badger beers, in a great village.
Nothing really
Excellent location, clean, well decorated rooms. Staff super helpful and friendly. Great value. Breakfast excellent.
Great old style pub, good pint, reasonable price and friendly welcome.

The pub has a lovely feel to it. Nicely decorated and smart. The tables laid out for meals were inviting. The room was comfortable and welcoming. It’s obvious that thought and care are strong elements which are implemented.
Great atmosphere wonderful food Breakfast superb
The staff were so friendly, chef made me some excellent poached eggs on toast for breakfast which were perfectly done. Well done chef!
Nothing, it was perfect for what we needed
Helpful, friendly staff. The breakfast was outstanding , limited selection but varied and delicious, definitely chef produced not your usual fare. Good attention to thoughtful detail in bedroom, bed was comfortable. Shower hot. Outdoor tables with umbrellas.
Old pub therefore stairs and lack of extra space.
Breakfast was outstanding 👌. Excellent, polite and efficient staff.
Room was tired and a bit shabby but bathroom was clean. Toilet seat didn't stay up and shower was underpowered but attentiveness of staff and excellent breakfast more than made up for the minor faults.
