Charming old house within walking distance of the NOTL downtown/main street. Owners were very nice, gave me a lovely dessert for my birthday. Our room and bathroom were quite decent (you get toiletries as well!), and there were all sorts of extras for our convenience - books in a common area, tea, water, a nice balcony and a tiny fountain that comes on at night. The breakfast was wonderful too (you get to choose from a menu the night before and it is made fresh in the morning). Also: Our hosts had to leave unexpectedly the morning we were checking out but they gave plenty of notice and made alternative arrangements for that breakfast, which was much appreciated.

Allen & Jackie are awesome hosts! We had assistance with our bags on both arrival & departure (all bedrooms are upstairs), the breakfasts were delicious & fun (they smile at you ~ see photo) and Abacot is conveniently located with ample parking.

The room was small, but this is an (immaculately kept!) older home so it wasn't unexpected.

Breakfast was well prepared with many options. Location was perfect distance to walk to stores & restaurants. Enjoyed the homes grounds. They provided bottled water for guests.

The bed was comfortable but was squeaky.

Magnifique maison , accueillante près des rues animées de la ville . L’accueil était chaleureux et les informations données par les proprios étaient utiles . Le confort des lits , la propreté et l’aménagement de la petite salle à déjeuner tout y était . Un petit frigo au 2e étage avec cafetière étaient à notre disposition au besoin . Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits et recommandons Abacot Hall !

Une petite suggestion cependant : il serait préférable de remplacer la moquette par un recouvrement plus hygiénique qui convient mieux aux personnes souffrants d’allergie .

The size of the room was quite small but on balance since it was only used for sleeping it was not a problem

Excellent service, great breakfast. Close to Niagra Falls that we wanted to visit, but this was in a calm location.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at abacot hall bed and breakfast. It was easy to find and we were immediately greeted by Alan at the front door and had a brief tour. Room was quaint and comfy. Decor was outdated but I think it fit the vibe of the b&b. The location was good. We were visiting for the holiday house tour so we were able to walk to majority houses and main town (15 min walk) from the b&b. Breakfast was traditional and tasty. Jackie and Alan are very kind hosts. Would recommend to anyone coming for a weekend in notl.

Very dated but as expected from other reviews and pictures

Alan and Jackie made us feel very comfortable and very much at home. The ambience of the house was beautiful, especially around Christmas with the tree being set up. The breakfast was wonderful with Alan being the chef and Jackie being the hostess. I would definitely come back again.

A great place to stay. A nice walk to Queen Street along quiet residential streets. The host Alan was amazing. He was a Friendly and a pleasant conversationalist, ready to confirm the day’s weather and offer options for sightseeing.

The property was great. The neighbourhood while pleasant, being in the old part of town did lack sidewalks at street lamps on a few streets. Our fall visit had us walking in the dark in a couple of spots. If you have a headlamp or flashlight bring it for fall visits

Our 2 night stay was very enjoyable. Our hosts were very helpful with coupons and suggestions for activities. The room (Queen Elizabeth) and adjoining washroom was attractive , clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to make choices individuaaly the night before from their breakfast menu . Axdeck for guests was comfortable and had great furniture for enjoying the back garden.

Allen and Jackie were amazing! We loved the atmosphere, all the thoughtful touches, security, friendliness and kindness. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The B&B is in a great location too. We will definitely stay again. Thank you both for making our stay so special and memorable.

Allen and Jackie are amazing hosts who are so welcoming and knowledgeable about things to do in town. The b&b is very quiet and an easy walk to town. The breakfast is outstanding. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway to Niagara on the lake or the falls!

Jackie and Allen were absolutely wonderful hosts! They were so accommodating and helpful, the food was so delicious and the room was a great space. Nice location - lots of conveniences around and within walking distance from the main street. I hope to visit again soon if I'm ever back in town :)

Highly recommend staying here. Allen and Jackie were fantastic hosts, very friendly. The room was very nice, the bed very comfortable. The deck was a nice place to sit and relax in the evening and the breakfast was awesome. We had an omelette one day and Eggs Benedict another day. Delicious. It’s located close to downtown and just across the road from Zoom bike rentals which were great as well. Also recommend Pillitteri Estates Winery/ BarrelHead Pizza. We’ll be back.

It was a very pleasant stay. The room was very clean and well appointed. The operators were extremely friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious.

We really enjoyed our time here! It is so conveniently located a short walk into Niagara-on-the-Lake. Such a sweet character building with everything we needed. Allen is so lovely and we had such delicious breakfast every morning. There were so many choices and we throughly enjoyed all of it. Unexpected bonus there was cable TV in our room which was great to catch the hockey while we enjoyed our vacation. Next time we visit Niagara-on-the-Lake we would stay here again!

Nice old style property about a 15 minute walk into Niagara on the Lake and 30 minute drive from Niagara Falls. Breakfasts were freshly cooked with fruit & yoghurt to start. Nice bread, & jams with proper butter. Guest fridge on the 1st floor with tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary water & soft drinks which was a nice touch.

Great location. Easy walk or bike ride to downtown. The house and grounds are meticulously maintained. The house is in a very quiet area and there’s a great deck outside to chill out and have a glass of wine. The breakfast was homemade and exceptionally good.

The room was just a little warm for our tastes, but I’m sure they would’ve made adjustments had we asked. We simply opened a window and it was fine.

Abacot Hall is a very well maintained property well located at the entrance to the historic district of Niagara on the Lake. NOL is one of the prettiest towns in Canada with many attractions. Our room at Abacot Hall was very comfortable and the hospitality offered was incomparable. Breakfasts are a pleasure.

We had a very comfortable stay. The host couple were kind, responsive and attentive. We enjoyed our hot breakfast which was carefully prepared to our liking with fresh fruits. We walked to the theatres and main street. The area was very quiet and safe. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return.
