I stayed at Kyo Yunohana Resort Suisen for one night. This is by far the fanciest places I have ever stayed at, and can dream of. I'm a fairly simple person, and this exceeded all my expectations tenfold. The staff were all incredibly friendly and polite. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The included walk-in shower, soaps, shampoos, everything else that I'm not even sure what I would do with were fantastic. The private bath outside on your suite's deck was very comfortable and pleasant. Stocked complimentary mini fridge and snacks in your room were a nice gesture. Chef Shinji Kobayashi's food was incredible. Best meals I have ever had. All in all, an amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Semplicemente tutto: camera con vasca sul balcone, stanza enorme, super curata tutto enorme, un sacco di biscottini e bevande a disposizione, la Onsen comune e una cena spettacolare. Hanno una cura per l’ospitalità incredibile. Vorrei tanto tornare , vale il prezzo totalmente. Accesso a un Onsen privata di una calma e bellezza incredibile.

Perfect spa, accommodation, food and services

매우 깨끗하고 조용하고 친절하고, 무료제공서비스, 온천, 식사 등 모든면에서 만족스럽습니다. 또 가고싶어요.

정원에 do not enter 라고 작게 적어두면 좋을것 같아요. 그정도 교양은 있으니까요. 예쁜 정원에 놓인 테이블에 앉아서 사진찍고싶게 만들어놨거든요.

The location was a bit out of the way from Kyoto, but that was what we were looking for while booking this Ryokan experience. This place was train accessible and a shuttle was provided. The food was fantastic and we felt very welcomed during our stay. I recommend arriving earlier to just relax and enjoy their natural onsen after your trip in Kyoto.

Friendly and polite staff. Excellent room with lots of complementary sweets and drinks. The private bath was excellent, and the dinner was delicious and a great experience.

The onsen have a lot of privacy, there is onsen in room, public bath & private bath. The room are very clean and you are able to feel the hospitality in the amenities.

Wow, seriously wow. The service, the food, the accommodations were all incredible. The location was perfect for us since we didn't have much time to devote to moving cities. They had a shuttle that came to pick us up from the train station which made the travel even easier. I definitely plan on coming back.

Absolutely wonderful experience staying at this ryokan with onsen facilities. Incredible Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The staff were very attentive and welcoming.

The location was beautiful and rooms very comfortable. Meals were varied and overall tasty. Staff were very accommodating. The private onsen bath in-room as well as the outdoor one that can be rented for a fee, were both very enjoyable.

Very good staff, who were extremely gracious and well-mannered and made you feel welcome and comfortable. Room and food were excellent as well. I'd go here again. Very nice for one night, you'll feel pampered. They have very good English speakers on staff. They could accommodate a pescetarian diet.

We could only manage booking from Booking.com, and it doesn't seem like the resort is as well-integrated with this service. You'll probably want to e-mail them about the shuttle. We had a misunderstanding and couldn't get the shuttle time we wanted, but they fixed this by letting us take a taxi and they came out and paid for it (this was very nice)

Kadangi neturiu ką neigiamo parašyti, tai galiu tik įvardyti vieną labai mažą smulkmeną. Privačioje Suisen vonioje dėl vandens čiaupų buvo sudėtinga sureguliuoti vonios vandens šilumą. Sunkiai sukinėjosi rankenėlės. Nesinorėjo per jėgą sukinėjant jų sulaužyti.

The room was spotless. They provided snacks, tea, ice cream and coffee. Best tea of my life. The public bath was very clean. The private bath was also clean. The room was spacious. The staff was also very friendly. Massage was excellent 10/10

Do yourself a favor and book your stay here! Ryokans are my favorite Japanese tradition and this one did not disappoint. The service is incredible. Every member of the staff was so kind and attentive. As someone with tattoos I loved that they have a private onsen, very serene. And we got a room with an outdoor bath which was special. Love all the complimentary snacks and drinks, especially the ice cream and popsicles! The kaiseki dinner was very creative, seemed less traditional but still celebrated the autumnal season. They have a shuttle for pick up and drop off from the JR station making it convenient from Kyoto. Even though Kameoka isn’t that far from city of Kyoto the resort felt very private and peaceful, a great way to unwind and relax.

Es war ein einmaliges Erlebnis hier zu übernachten. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals und der Siervice sind nicht zu toppen. Man fühlt sich ab der ersten Sekunde rundum wohl und versorgt - es wird sich um alles gekümmert. Die Zimmer und das heiße Freilufbad auf dem Balkon sind erstklassig. Wir haben für abends außerdem das private Onsen gebucht, was ebenfalls unfassbar schön war. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer auf den toll angelegten Garten läd zum entspannen ein. Und das konnten wir hier definitiv. Man wird wirklich behandelt wie König und Königin, an alles ist gedacht, es gibt so viele Details die mich egal wo ich hingeschaut habe, überraschten. Super entspannt auch: es gab für die Zeit des Aufenthaltes nicht nur für jeden einen Yukata, sondern auch einen Hausanzug, Pyjama und Bademantel. Das Hauseigene Spa hab ich auch getestet und war hier nicht weniger von der Professionalität und Freundlichkeit der Masseurin überrscht. Wir hatteb leider nur eine Nacht gebucht, das nächste Mal kommen wir definitiv länger umd wirklich komplett zur Ruhe zu kommen - denn das kann man hier perfekt.

The chef at the resort exceeded all expectation, as did the facilities and staff overall. The cost seems high, but for the room, location, and food, it is incredibly good value.

Everything was perfect!

Absolutely beautiful experience from start to finish. The staff, accomodations, amenities, service, etc. Everything was perfect. From the check in they give you a delicious matcha and pistachio mochi. They arrange shuttle service to and from the train station. The rooms are massive and incredibly clean. I wore my white socks and the bottom was pristine. The onsen in the room was amazing, on top of the public baths which basically was empty the times we went. The reserve public bath is also a not missed experience. The chef for breakfast and dinner was amazing. You can tell there is so much thought and love into everything. One of the best experiences of my life

Amazing view, amazing food, amazing service

食事が大変美味しく、静かでゆったり休めて贅沢な時間を過ごせます。ルームウェアやパジャマなど楽で気持ちの良い素材の物が揃えてあるので、いつも荷物が少なくて済みます。隅々まで心配りが行き届いていて、とても満足感のある旅館です。

We loved our stay here. From getting to try traditional Japanese cuisine, to relaxing in the onsen, this stay was so peaceful and rejuvinating. The staff were incredible.

The fine dining and breakfast traditional Japanese food was out of this world . The room was beyond expectations, great design and comfort and very private. The place in itself makes you feel like you're completely isolated. The food was up there with some of the best we've had in Japan. The staff was very friendly.

Its quite pricey and a bit out of the way, especially if you do not have access to a car.

Phenomenal property. I would highly recommend booking with meal service, it’s truly a world class japanese meal you’re treated to. We booked a room with a private onsen, which was great to have after a long day of sightseeing. The room was very large, with all modern amenities and many complimentary items to eat and drink. It’s not quite a traditional Ryokan but it’s close. Tatami mats, no shoes inside, a lovely Japanese garden we could see from our veranda. We stayed here for one day in the middle of our trip and it really helped us recharge after lots of walking and touristy stuff. Would definitely stay here again. Truly a beautiful property and a great place to take a break from the usual tourist attractions while in Japan.

何より食事の質の良さが他のホテルでは考えられない程です。団体や子供が居ないので、静かで贅沢な大人の時間を過ごせます。なかなか空いていないのが難点かも知れません。

Shuttle brought us from the station right to the location. Staff hospitality was incredible. They even moved out bags to the room for us. Room was a dream with a private bath. The futon and beds were so comfortable. The clothing sets were so comfortable too. Amenities were amazing. Kaiseki was so delicious--Chef Kobayashi was a pleasure and the waiting staff were so sweet and considerate.

We didn't have enough time there. We will have to stay longer next time!

Great suite of rooms and excellent onsen

Truly a special place to stay! Everything was just as advertised, if not better. The room was absolutely gorgeous with all the amenities you could hope for including coffee, snacks, drinks and luxury hair- and skincare products. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get back up. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, every course was explained in detail with instructions on how to best enjoy each dish. Since the food depends on the season so much, I would love to come back at a warmer time of year one day to see the difference. In addition to the shared onsen and the one on the balcony, you can also book a time slot for a private outdoor bath. They also have the option to book a massage, which was wonderful after traveling for two weeks and carrying a backpack the entire time. If I get the opportunity to come back, I would love to stay for two nights in order to fully enjoy everything.

My goodness, what a beautiful spot to stay. Everything was top notch, from the shuttle, to the staff, to the rooms, meals and amenities! I was a welcomed change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and area. The food prepared at dinner was almost too beautiful to eat, not to mention delicious! We had a private Onsen on our balcony and it was worth the extra money to be able to use it at our leisure. I cannot say enough about it. If given the opportunity, stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!

普通の温泉街の様に店が並んでいたりしないので静かで落ち着けるが、観光客には見物する所も無いし散策出来る温泉地でもない。完璧な食事とうるさくなく行き届いた接待、静かで客層も良い大人の旅館。

観光客には近隣に何も無いのでつまらない所かも知れませんが、休養に行くには最高です。食事は最優秀、静かで宿泊客も多くなく、スタッフもステイを邪魔しない様に心を配ってくれます。

Gorgeous property with lovely staff. This was the highlight of the Japanese trip for us! Quite a few locals at the place as well which is always nice. I did a lot of research to find a ryokan that had a private onsen in the room as well as a lovely ground outdoor one for private booking and this one ticked all the boxes! So lucky I found this place! Food in the private dining was also lovely. It really felt like a proper 5 star experience so it was well worth the cost. The shuttle pick up was also extremely punctual and convenient.

まず、お料理がとても美味しかったです。 こういった場所でのご飯は量が多くて食べきれない事が多いのですが、夕飯は2時間ほど私たちのペースでお料理が出てくる為全て完食いたしました。新婚旅行だった事もありサプライズでデザートもいただきました。 お部屋や、テラスの露天風呂も大浴場もとてもとてもよかったです。 スタッフさんの対応、気遣いも素晴らしかったです！！ また機会があれば是非利用させていただきたいですし、検討中の方は本当におすすめです！

這是第二次住宿這間酒店，不論是服務或是早晚餐，如上次一樣，非常滿意，性價比極高，有機會的話會再次住宿這間酒店。

隅々まで行き届いた大人のお宿。宿泊客のレベルも高いと感じる。子供や団体を断っている事で、そのレベルが維持されていると感じる。何よりお食事の丁寧さとお味に感心する。観光ついでに泊まるというより、ゆったりした贅沢な時間を過ごす快適なお宿。

Good choice

One of the most memorable experiences from our two-week trip to Japan was our stay at a serene ryokan after five intense days exploring Tokyo. It was the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the rest of our journey. We chose Kyo Yunohana Suisen because it offers private onsen baths and is located near Kyoto. The kaiseki cuisine was exquisite, showcasing seasonal ingredients with beautiful presentation. The overall service was outstanding—thoughtful and attentive. The lounge, in particular, stood out for its quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

One minor downside was the private bath. While it was made of hinoki wood, which added a lovely aroma, the natural material had some moss buildup, which made it feel slightly less hygienic.Whole experience was amazing tho

This place is where you want to go when you need to time to relax on your vacation. The shuttle bus provided from Kameoka is very convenient. Our room was very spacious and the private open air onsen was amazing. It was perfect to relax during our very busy travelling across Japan. The amenities, kaiseki and staff’s hospitality were exceptional. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and I think next time booking for 2 nights would be ideal to enjoy the full experience!

The staff was very kind and the facilities clean and simple in a nice way. The kaiseki ryori-food was amazing! Presentation was phenomenal! Delicious. Rice was so good!!! Onsen was wonderful!

We wish there was walking aroundc the property to enjoy the beautiful trees and nature.
