Everything good

The location near the Plaza de la Paz was excellent! Near the Teatro Juarez, the funicular, university, parks, churches, good restaurants and shops. Great walking. Charming old building and room.

Breakfast at nearby partner hotel was a little ordinary and same-same every day. We did not get the panoramic room we booked and paid for--"rain damage," but no payment adjustment (200 pesos) offered or apology. The door entry codes are ridiculously long and so, awkward to enter. The in-room safe malfunctioned and required maintenance to recover our passports and cash. None of these are big problems.

La habitación era la que había reservado, con vistas a la Universidad. Una zona muy animada de día y de noche, como es la ciudad de Guanajuato. El desayuno es mejorable, ofrece muy pocas opciones, falta fruta fresca, yogur natural, tostadas con mantequilla, huevos... Además, se ofrece en un patio muy frío por la mañana (en agosto). La atención del personal que ofrece el desayuno es muy buena.

Solo la ubicación

Necesita reforma, especialmente el baño. Pero lo peor fue que el desayuno era de 8-11. Nosotros debíamos dejar el hotel a las 7, pedimos si nos podían dejar preparado algo como fruta o bien otra comida sin elaborar. Inicialmente nos dijeron que hablarían con cocina, porque el turno empezaba a las 7 a trabajar. Luego nos lo negaron porque dijeron que empezaban a las 8 y no era posible . Por tanto, ninguna consideración para los hospedados. Nada flexibles al respecto. Además, a lo largo la noche nos despertaron tres grupos de personas que entraron a diferentes habitaciones a voz en grito y carcajadas. A las 2, a las 3 y la última vez, a las cuatro de la madrugada. En las tres ocasiones la situación se alargó y las voces y risas en los pasillos duraron al menos 10 minutos. Al dejar el hotel lo comunicamos al portero del turno de noche. Reconoció los hechos y dijo que había reconvenido al grupo. Pero lo dudo, porque las voces y risas se extendieron un buen rato. Comunicamos estas quejas a la dirección del hotel a través su aplicación de quejas y sugerencias, creada al efecto. No hemos tenido ninguna disculpa en una semana.

Location — we were there on a Saturday night — music in the plaza playing til 3:30 Sunday morning. Could not sleep!!! …”La Paz” became “dificil para dormir”

The location is excellent. You must reserve a balcony with the view of the church.

Everything was exceptional

La ubicación es excelente porque todo queda muy cerca. El desayuno es casi siempre lo mismo pero al menos en nuestro caso cumplio nuestras expectativas ya que ibamos a tomar algunos tours y las chicas que atienen son muy amables. En general la gente es muy amable en Guanajuato. La habitación elegi una que queda en medio de las habitaciones que son de balcon no por coda, pero preferimos algo asi por el ruido y nos fue bastante bien. Buscabamos un hotel con aire acondicionado, y el Hotel La Paz cumplia con eso.

Las almohadas de la habitación son lo único que podría decir que no me gusto. Hubo un detalle con las puertas del hotel, se desconfiguraron en los días que estuvimos ahí, por lo que el personal de recepción tenia que abrirnos la puerta, pero muy amables en todo momento.

Slightly old but it has a lot of charm

The location was great and the city was very walkable. The staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. The room was clean and spacious for a family of 4. The hotel was quiet and well maintained.

The location was convenient for us. The outdoor noise is disturbing at first, but after the first night it didn't bother us as much as we were exhausted from all day activities.

A localização é excepcional, bem perto da igreja e da universidade. Têm água gratis disponível no hotel, o café da manhã é bom (disponível com voucher num hotel próximo)

Fomos de carro e é muito dificil encontrar local pra estacionar perto. Tive que deixar o carro num estacionamento próximo, que cobrava muito caro. O hotel poderia ter um convênio para ajudar a reduzir os custos.

Hotel de la Paz is a fabulous place. This was my 2nd time staying here and my picky daughter loved the architecture and location.

El piso de la bañera era muy resbaloso casi me caigo. El mosaico que tiene el piso cuando está mojado es resbaloso no entiendo por qué lo tienen. Tuve que poner una toalla para poderme bañar.

I got the suite with the city view and absolutely beautiful and the staff was polite and very helpful. Highly recommend 👌

La ubicación es perfecta. Cerca de todo caminando. Habitaciones cómodas.

Es difícil el tema del parqueadero, pues está ubicado en zona peatonal y la opción que ofrecen es lejos para ir con las maletas.

La velocidad de Wifi no era de los mejores. La habitación que nos tocó tenía ventanas muy altas que no se podían cubrir y entraba mucha luz de los pasillos

A lot of noise!!! Inside the hotel!!! Is very uncomfortable go to vacations and wake up with a lot of noise, also I add an extra day , 7 weeks before and they charge me double one extra night more then I booked 4 nights!! Very disappointing, is sad when they see us as a tourist and take advantage of us, just because we’re in vacations,as a tourist I make sure i always tip and treat people with respect and kindness, non- taking advantage of anyone and anything

The location is in the center of everything. That does mean a lot of activity—we saw parades, a festival, university graduation celebrations and a huge outdoor religious gathering within a few days. Our room (#15) was spotless and cleaned daily. Views of the famous basilica and surrounding area were fabulous. The church bells do ring occasionally, especially on Sunday. We loved them. AC worked great; plenty of hot water; staff very friendly; elevator to our third floor room was appreciated. Would definitely stay here again. Any celebratory music or noise ended by 11 pm or so. Buffet breakfast in a nearby historic hotel was very good, with options for a plant based diet and much more.

Estuvo económico y en buen lugar, céntrico, las tiendas super cerca y la vista de los balcones excelente, sí cuentan con aire acondicionado en cada habitación y ventiladores, la limpieza muy bien y baños completos. En cuanto al ruido, no se escucha mucho, descansas a gusto y como dato, es bueno poner alarma para despertar porque no se siente el tiempo de la noche y el descanso. Saludos y gracias por esta grata experiencia.

Excellent location right off the plaza de Paz. I had a room on the top floor with 180 degree magnificent views. Room was comfortable and charming. Breakfast was across the street and had a lot of options. It has an elevator, which I needed after climbing the Guanajuato hills!

Location: Excellent The hotel is very centrally located, has an elevator, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and major sightseeing attractions in Guanajuato. What I liked: I really liked the Spanish colonial architecture of the building. It has a lot of historic charm and character, which adds to the experience of staying in the city Perfect location, charming colonial building .

What could be improved: Because of the central location, it can be a bit noisy at times. The bathroom could also benefit from some modernization.
