Hôtel De Venise

For an old looking hotel, the room had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, a large sofa, tea making facilities and lots of task lighting. Also we’ve never seen so many plug sockets ! The breakfast was lovely and good value and the breakfast room is delightful and beautiful.

The WiFi didn’t work for us. It was a bit expensive but it’s Paris !

Near the railway station.

The location was excellent, an 8 minute walk from the Gare de Lyon train station. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The local area is really nice, with good restaurants and supermarkets. We were travelling with a dog, and the Coulée Verte walkway is only 2 minutes away, it's a lovely place to walk your dog.

Nothing

The hotel is in a great location, on a quiet-ish street very close to lots of restaurants, several wonderful boulangeries (for tasty breakfasts) and also close to Gare de Lyon. Rooms were spotless and the staff was lovely. There's an elevator, but we happily took the stairs.

We heard our upstairs neighbor the second night -- they weren't noisy, but could hear footsteps, alarm going off in morning. The first night it was incredibly quiet.

La situation et le calme.

Quartier calme proche du métro

The location was great. Not too touristy, but also not too far from anything. Metro was about a 3 minute walk - super convenient.

Rooms were pretty small, wifi wasn’t very good.

The small room was cozy, super comfortable bed, very quiet, good size bathroom, and wonderful breakfast . The staff was helpful and charming! Check in and out was quick.

This little gem of a hotel was a nice surprise. It's only about a 10-12 minute walk from the Gare de Lyon train station, yet it is set in a safe, quiet, non-touristy neighborhood. It is about a five minute walk to the metro, and there are several bus lines as well. The staff are very kind and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and well-designed, and the elevator and air-con are welcome perks not often seen in small hotels at this price-point. Breakfast is not included, but at only 11 euros it is totally worth it. There are also lots of cafes, bakeries, and restaurants nearby.

I do wish that there had been a small fridge and kettle in the room.

Friendly staff

Bed wasn’t that comfortable, wash cloth, A/C drips

The rooms were lovely, the shower was fantastic - there was loads of space for our suitcases and us, and we slept so well both nights! The air conditioning was very very excellent!

Propre

Exactly as advertised. Small room, but cozy, with super friendly staff.

Vriendelijk personeel.

Because of the heatwave, I had to change my Paris booking fairly last-minute, and needed a place with AC. Not only does this hotel have AC, it was surprisingly affordable and in a good location (great restaurants, boulangerie, and even a laundromat nearby). The room and bathroom were also very clean.

Excellent location, value, close to metro, close to good restaurants and across the street from a good boulangerie. The breakfast is Laos great value at 10.50 per day. ;) excellent and very helpful staff and owner. Family run. AC as well!

Très bien

Chambre un peu petite et sans vue.

Ambiente confortevole e pulito, personale cordiale e disponibile.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The ac in the room was outstanding during Paris heat wave. Lots of restaurants nearby and metro right around the corner

I loved staying at this hotel. I picked it because it was close to the Gare de Lyon. Everything I needed for my two nights was close by and I enjoyed the area. The best part of my stay was the service. Information was offered before I needed to ask. I will definitely book here again.

It was really good value for the money we paid.

Gulligt litet hotell. Exceptionellt trevlig personal.

It is summer and the A/C in the room worked really well which is an exception in Europe. We like the room temperature to be 20 degrees and it was very easy for us to regulate the temperature in our rooms. Also the bathroom shower is decent although small, and the toiletries were there. The reception guy let us leave our lugagge there after checking out, so we could go for a nice walk around until our taxi picked us up later in the afternoon. Overall very good value for money, there are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby there is also a pharmacie, laundromat and metro in the same street. We would def. return.

you can def. hear everything from the hallway and in nearby rooms, but we were lucky that other guests were really considerate, although we woke up when some guests arrived around midnight. Rooms are small but in my opinion have everything you need.

quiet neighbourhood, 5-10 mins from the metro. had breakfast at the bakery next to the hotel. tiny rooms, usual for Paris. elevator in the building! friendly reception.

no fridge in the room

Staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. Hotel was very clean, well-maintained and stylishly decorated. Room was clean and very comfortable, apart from just one thing…

…Just one thing; the room I was in (the only one on the ground floor, I think) had the main outdoor split-aircon units just outside the French windows. The sound from this was quite loud and did affect my sleep.

Linen was clean and good pillows. WiFi good and aircon worked.

Overpriced for what it was. Very small room, no tea/coffee/complimmentary water. Photos are very clever! If it was 100-110euros per night it would have met expectations but 180 was just too much. Adequate for an overnight (if expensive) stay but wouldn’t recommend for more nights as simply too small. Balconies shown in photos are only on the top floor- 3 rooms.

Good location, staff was very friendly and they have air conditioner!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

My room was lovely and very well air-conditioned. The breakfast was also very nice.

I have no complaints

amabilité et gentillesse du personnel

La posizione molto vicina alla metro. La presenza di aria condizionata ben funzionante. Lo staff gentilissimo.

Stanza molto piccola.

On recommande cet établissement !
