we had two room types during our stay, the double room and the studio. the double room was just average and the studio was much nicer. good view, jacuzzi, kitchen, ample space, two rooms with a lounge that could sleep two more. The evening staff were really nice and helpful to us.

the place is a lot more run down than shown in the pictures. some wooden panels are broken, water leakage, the pool is very small and boarded up so there is no view. also. i dont know how common this is, but there is practically no service until 4pm. the pool side cafe didnt open when we went in the morning and we were told by the staff if we want to order a coffee we need to go to the restaurant, which is far from the main building. it seems they dont have enough staff in the hotel. the lobby has no music and is very dimly lit, gives a deserted feel.

For the villa, It doesn’t look like the photo, the room is so small, there’s no room for hanging your clothes properly. Things are worn out. Mosquitoes are everywhere inside the property, got 5 sting within 5 mins. The washroom smells funky and it is so small, the shower water takes very long to get hot, the water pressure is not potent as well. Breakfast was mediocre, in general couldn’t seen much staff around, hotel policy is not flexible, do not have a good hospitality mind set. Not worth the money, not too sure where’s the five stars from.

Its location is ok for Seogwipo-si - there is a convenience store nearby and a good black pork bbq which is walkable. View is ok.

The staff are extremely un-accommodating and not foreigner-friendly. It could have been a language issue, but everything we requested was met with a firm “no”. Examples are a request to have in-room breakfast as I was on a crutch and going to breakfast required climbing up rocky steps with no bannisters. (The property is not mobility friendly). It was also a milestone birthday for 2 of us and when we asked if anything special could be done (other properties do small commemorative things) - it was “no”. We also had to remind them to top up basic amenities like water, and the layout of the twin room was strange with the toilet almost in the kitchenette. There was also a booking misunderstanding with breakfast inclusion and that basically stated it was a booking.com issue.

The staff was amazing and the villa had most items needed. The free laundry service was great.

The location was too secluded, which made it difficult to travel around the island. The facility was not updated and had a lot of little details that were not well kept (broken lamps, light not working, broken shades, rusting toilet, hair in bed, musty smell in the villa (we asked to move villas), and very limited food options. No view of the ocean as the website made us believe.

The private pool and jacuzzi was amazing ! The lobby also had free peppermint tea which was really nice. The location was serene and peaceful.

The property felt a bit old where the tiles outside were a bit uneven and the entrance door appeared rusty.

The bed was super comfortable. Loved the sheets! And the room was luxurious and spacious. Also loved the Dodo cafe just 15min walk away.

We really did not enjoy eating at Narnia. The waiter was stand-off ish and the food was sparse.

Incredible Villa at a great value. I have never gotten a room that nice at that pricepoint. Really helpful staff and incredible location and views.

Hotel is exactly as described, so no surprises!! The location was a nice surprise, really good local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

Whilst it says it has a kitchen, it's fairly non-functional. Not enough cooking equipment to really cook.

Castle villa interior was advertised. Views were better than advertised.

The property's name is misleading because there was no swimming pool in our villa (only plunge) and the main pool was closed for undisclosed reasons.

It is obvious that management has tried their best to make your stay comfortable. Everything one might need for a comfortable stay is generously provided including decaffeinated coffee pods and fizzy drinks and daily replenishing of bottles of water and coffee pods! The laundry area is a dream! Clean, very well provisioned. Only lacking an iron. Water pressure was very good.

More sofa/armchairs in living area. In a room meant for 4 pax, there were only 2 foldable sofa bed/chairs. Would have preferred firmer beds.

Wir hatten eine Pool-Villa im Haupthaus, 3 Stock., im Bayhill Pool & Villa Hotel (Privatpool ca. 12 m + Whirlpool) und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage in Andeok-myeon (Seogwipo) ist traumhaft – von der Terrasse blickt man über Sagye-ri / Sanbangsan-Küste aufs Meer. Die Anlage wirkt stellenweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen (bei der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit nachvollziehbar), trotzdem war alles absolut sauber und funktionsfähig – das Housekeeping macht einen 1A-Job. Wir haben die Ruhe und Privatsphäre in der Villa sehr geschätzt. Praktisch für längere Reisen: Im Haupthaus gibt es Waschmaschinen und Trockner. In der Umgebung fanden wir mehrere stylische Brunch-Lokale, die uns sehr gefallen haben. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die äußerst freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter, die uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt haben. Insgesamt fanden wir die Preis-Leistung absolut in Ordnung.

Sehr nettes Personalräume sauber und gepflegt Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Trotzdem eigentlich ein schöner Platz zum verweilen. Ich empfehle einen Leihwagen für dieses Hotel. Ansonsten alles top

excellent hotel, very large room and best for vaule

The overall architecture of the villa is beautiful, with elegant lines and a tasteful interior. The sea view is lovely (though much farther from the beach than expected — not within walking distance). The private pool and indoor spa were spacious and enjoyable. The B&O Bluetooth speaker was a thoughtful luxury touch.

The villa clearly needs renovation: there is rotten woodwork on the rooftop, and the Somfy curtains were misaligned or non-functional. The downstairs WC was blocked on arrival (though maintenance did respond quickly). Across all rooms, there are far too few power outlets — a hassle for a family needing to charge multiple devices. Netflix access is limited to only the main lounge TV, which was frustrating for the children. Most disappointing: the kitchen is effectively non-functional. There were no knives or frying pans at all, making it impossible to cook even a simple breakfast. We were only told this at check-in — this restriction should have been clearly stated on the listing. We managed to prepare instant noodles, but that’s far below expectations for a villa at this price point. Felt like heavy-handed attempt to boost the business of the onsite restaurant (which we found fairly utilitarian and disappointing). Suggest: - Clarify kitchen limitations in listing — and consider offering a “fully equipped kitchen” upgrade or rental kit. - Conduct a maintenance audit — especially plumbing, woodwork, and curtain controls. - Add more universal power outlets or adapters — especially near beds and tables. - Expand streaming access to bedroom TVs or offer portable streaming sticks (e.g. Roku, Chromecast). - Proactively inform guests of villa age and service limitations — better to set correct expectations.

Run down and dirty. Management is inadequate. Not for everyone.

Gorgeous accommodations, just as per their description and photos. Excellent service and restaurant was high quality. The location, with our rental car, was ideal.

The cost of the private pool area. The outdoor pool wasn't in operation/empty - understandable since it was just off-season (May 21st) or mechanical issues might have been the problem... but it is in their description: Bayhill Pool and Spa. Tip to Bayhill: Would've appreciated bike rentals at Bayhill to ride JeJu's "fantasy" bike trail. (fyi - There's no bike rental outfit anywhere close by and, even then, it was a hidden back-road mom/pop shop. Nobody was there and the bikes were in really bad shape).

The hotel was a uniquely designed state of the art building with generous apartments and villas. We stayed in a modern apartment with two bedrooms and a huge terrace with jacuzzi that we loved. The employees were very friendly and helpful. It was great we could wash our clothes in the laundry room for free. You can also lend board games from the reception. The public spaces were beautiful and the restaurant quite nice.

They should invest more in the gym. There was only pure cardio equipment. No weights, bands or other equipment. Also their restaurant already closed at 8pm - maybe because it was off season.

Restaurant: little choice on the menu

This hotel is supposed to be 5 star hotel. But the condition of the suite we stayed did not feel like it was. The stairs going down to the main living area including two of the bedrooms are dangerous, no railings, and inconvenient to drag luggage up and down the stairs. The bathroom door was facing the bed, there was mold smell coming from the bathroom so we had to close the door when we were sleeping, the door makes loud noise. The second bedroom light didn’t work, asked front desk, and they said they purposely keep it off?? No reason given. My husband did not feel good so I asked if there is any delivery food available and the front desk said not sure, let them know if I find anything?? The staff who drive the property drives very aggressively, many times I have seen… I have told there won’t be any notice problems but the last day we stayed, there was a kid jumping all over the place. The location is far from stores, restaurants and any public transportation. The options of the restaurants are very limited. The way to drive to the hotel is very dark so need to be really careful especially at night. We would not stay here next time, for the price we paid, I think we could have had a lot better service from the staff and a better condition place.

too bright lights from all gadgets and aircon in the room, actually there is no bathroom, the place for washing at the bathroom sink was too small / no hangars for clothes and towels / same for the shower which need to be entered through the toilet, no places for hanging clothes and towels, expensive kitchen

The manager was amazing and gave us our upgrade and bonus to use in the restaurant. I had a young family above me jumping and screaming but other than that a lovely stay.

Very good for family trip. 3 bed rooms including 2nd fl. Convinent and quite.

We enjoyed heating the private swimming pool for our kids, who could play all afternoon in water. There is a lot of space to accommodate everybody in the family, to play or to relax. The restaurant is expensive for Korea but has great options and delicious meat.

Very clean and helpful staff. The self service laundry and dryer service was great!

Loved the outdoor jacuzzi for relaxing in the evenings, and the food and service at Narnia was excellent.

We requested room cleaning but there was a miscommunication. Nevertheless when we informed front desk they made sure we had new towels and water which was good.

The general director and staff were incredible. Very professional and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and were taken care of during the storm. We would stay there again if we come back to JEJU Island.

The room was extremely hot and there was no A/C in the master bedroom. It was 91 degrees every day. I can’t believe that there was no A/C . We couldn’t use it. Overcharged for that.

Fantastic and wonderful place. Staff was helpful and any refill requested was quickly delivered. The hardware was great and exceeded the expectations for a vacation.

The only bad thing is the strictness of the checkout. I've been around many hotels and never have I been rushed out being 5 minutes late and then promptly 10 minutes after. I know the late checkout time is our fault, but paying a premium price, how we were treated for being a bit late ruined the experience.

My wife and I enjoyed the room, amenities, staff assistance, atmosphere, everything! We had the honeymoon suite and enjoyed every minute staying there. The theater room was also amazing. The location is great, and many attractions aren't too far away at all. What a convenient and lovely place!

Quiet isolated spacious

Need a car to move around Jeju due to its location but we don’t mind as we were looking for peace and quiet away from the city

Our family enjoyed our first trip to Jeju Island and our stay & accommodations at Bayhill made our visit that much more memorable. The Hill Suite was gorgeous and quite spacious for our family of 5. The beds were comfortable and the rooms each had their own bathrooms which made it very convenient. The staff was also very attentive and friendly. 9/10 - have already recommended the resort to our friends.

Credit to the service staff were helpful, prompt and friendly. The location was close to some good restaurants around and the ocean view was good from the Bay suite.

The pictures on the listing are not a good representation of the true condition of the property. The property was looking tired. We booked the Bay suite and the walls were stained, floors and staircase had cracks, main door and gate were completely rusty and the bathroom grouting was dirty. I was looking forward to the use of the private pool and jacuzzi but changed my mind when I saw the real condition of the room. We stayed at other properties in Jeju and for the price paid, there were much better options in Jeju.

This is a great area to stay on Jeju. The photos of the property look like they were taking when the property was new. The property and surrounding landscaping, however, needs some tender, loving care. Most of the landscaping, which looks like it was designed quite nicely, had a lot of overgrowth and a lot of plants and shrubs need to be cut back, and weeding done. Interior of our villa was in pretty good shape, but some areas needed some repair (tile in bathrooms, some rust on door frame, etc.). The property condition just feels a little bit worn. The glass windows needed to be cleaned, and the bedrooms are small and not a lot of space for our suitcases. The downstairs was quite spacious. The modern living room furniture was not comfortable. Staff was great!! They even went out of their way to pick up some local fried chicken, that would not deliver to the hotel for us.

I liked the temperature of the swimming pool , at first when I have checked the temperature in Jeju, I have thought whether the pool needs to be heated, but when I've tried using the pool at night time 23:00 , the temperature of the pool was actually warm enough and close to temperature outside.

I didn't like the location of the hotel, I and my partner were going to Udo, and it was far. Despite the location, I personally think this property is outstanding and is worth the time to stay and take a taxi to anywhere else.

Everything was perfect, the villa was very spacious and clean. Be mindful you'd need a car to move around. And they had free onsite ev charging station which was just amazing.

I stayed here in 2016 and really liked the spacious rooms (stayed in the villa) and cleanliness of the property. Coming here again in 2024, I was not disappointed as the management had kept the property clean and well maintained. The staff are very hospital, extremely helpful with our Hallasan queries and everyone spoke really good English such that we had no communications issues. Crystal, in particular really helped us with our Hallasan queries.

The outdoor facilities such as pool and jacuzzi can be better kept but I think it’s due to the sea water and rain that made keeping these facilities a challenge.
