We arrived during the Full Moon — a couple with two teenage girls — and stayed at a lovely resort in Haad Rin. The place is simply perfect! Stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, yet still close to everything happening on the beach. The staff were friendly, smiling, and always happy to help with anything. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool overlooking the sea was just wow 🌊☀️ The dinner we had on the Full Moon night was excellent — delicious, varied, and served in a truly special atmosphere 🌕🍴

Fantastic property in a great location right on the beach. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble, friendly and professional. Rooms are nice and clean with comfortable beds. Restaurant is great, good range of amazing food options great cocktails. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great value family holiday.

Loved Palita Lodge, the staff were excellent, kept guard over the property when Full Moon party was on, we could easily nip back to our room and use our clean toilet. Yummy free breakfast, beautiful Party Buffet and free cocktail. They even made us a packed lunch because we were leaving early for the boat. 100%recommend.

Most amazing place… no other resort in this area has the beachfront view and access like Palita. The beach is groomed every morning, and the sand is immaculate They have all sorts of things for guests to use such as beach cushions, life vests and even a surfboard! More quieter side of the beach but just steps away from so many restaurants, shops and bars. Perfect location for families, couples or solo guests. Rooms very well maintained, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Can even book connecting rooms for multiple families. Breakfast included, made to order and every dish absolutely devious. The Restaurant had a huge selection and everything we tried was 10/10. Best and biggest pool in Koh Phangan! The best part of this place was the people… The owners were on site every day making sure every detail was perfect. Going the extra mile every opportunity they had. All the workers were so kind and accommodating. It truly is like your second home. Can’t wait to go back with our family ❤️

Trevligt hotell vid Haad Rin stranden, lugnt område. Fin strand dock en del glas efter fullmoonparty. Vid vår vistelse var poolen grumlig men det gjordes jobb på att få den ok. Trevlig familj som drev hotellet.

De lodge was heerlijk lekker in de schaduw en je loopt zo de in De kamers waren super en werden elke dag schoongemaakt. Het eten was heetlijk en het personeel heel service geticht en super lief! Het plaatsje is echt vergane glorie en echt gericht op de hippies en full moon party animals Gelukkig bood Palita een oase van rust

Ich komme immer wieder in die Palita Lodge. Die Bungalows stehen im schönen Garten und sind gut eingerichtet mit viel Ablagemöglichkeiten und einem großen Spiegel. Es gibt Liegen im Resort und auch am Pool. Alles ist gepflegt. Das Personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Einen lieben Gruß an Ohm. Der Strandabschnitt ist in Haad Rin der Beste. Im Palita Lodge kann man gut essen und entspannen. Ich werde immer wieder kommen.

10/10! Vi är jättenöjda med vår vistelse på Palita! Personalen är så trevliga och hjälpsamma. Hotellet ligger jättebra mitt på stranden en bit ifrån allt party med ett väldigt mysigt poolområde. Stora, rena och fina rum med väldigt sköna kuddar! Maten är toppen, vi åt frukost och lunch varje dag på hotellet och allting var väldigt gott. Rekommenderar starkt Palita!

Russians Mafia is rusding this place 🚩was after us because we yold them not to ne do laud under breakfasts. I'm a attractive woman -but was told I'm faylt and ugly and was harassed 73 hours bu other Russian guests but the staff didn't want to call yhe police or help us. Is horrible place! Stay away@

This is a lovely family run hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and fresh tasty food. We were a large extended family group and rooms included beach front, pool view and garden view. All rooms were comfortable and clean with daily cleaning and fresh towels. The resort is a bit dated but everything was in good working order and beds were big and comfortable. We also arranged a number of transfers through the hotel too which were well priced and nice to have aircon! Mrs Su and her family are delightful and the staff all friendly and keen to help, Breakfast includes a choice of meals in addition to fruit, juices, toasts and coffees. Lunches and dinners were delicious! We went for the full moon party so the whole area was extremely busy and very loud. The beach rooms in particular get alot of noise during the party times so book pool or garden if you want it a bit quieter. Beach was nice at the Palita lodge end, and the pool was wonderful, plenty of shade on offer for those trying not to burn. Easy walk into the main town. A very pleasant stay indeed

Was hanging out on the beach when I craved some Mango sticky rice. The place was empty at the time. Order took a long 15-20 minutes Costs was THB 150 Well packed However, I was super bothered by the mango being sour and not sweet, ruined the experience.

Perfect start to island hopping adventure and the best rooms we stayed in. The owners (the lady, sorry can’t remember her name was wonderful) and staff are all lovely. Their driver is super reasonable Their end of the beach is clean, has some shade and bean bags to lay on. Breakfast is good, simple but good and prepared fresh Lunch is delicious We had connecting rooms for a family of 5. Beds were huge, super clean and nice toiletries supplied. Cool outside shower and giant bath

What a fantastic hidden gem. My husband & I booked for 3 nights & leave tomorrow & so wish we’d booked a longer stay. We have loved our few days at this lovely hotel. Great location & breakfast area overlooks a beautiful beach. So very relaxing. We were going to hire a motorbike for a few days but decided we just wanted to stay here and enjoy the R&R. Staff are all lovely, very friendly & welcoming. Breakfast is basic but all cooked freshly by order (eggs, bacon etc) Fruits, salad, toast etc available on a small buffet table. Great coffee machine. We also ate at the restaurant at lunchtime & evening & every meal was well prepared, arrived hot & tasty. Stunning beach area & sea calm & warm. Lovely pool available to use with views across the beach. We booked a bungalow with pool view which was perfect. Good size, great bed, comfortable pillows. (Room 104) Bungalow terrace was a great size & perfect for sipping beers on the evening after a day on the beach. Safe & fridge provided. Great AC. Few minutes walk down the beach to other bars & restaurants & main resort (7 Eleven, shops, clubs, massage parlours) Best of both worlds, tranquility & night life if needed. Reception were very helpful in arranging our tickets for our ferry return to Koh Samui & taxi to pier (cheaper than our arrival journey) Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend & will definitely return to this property (outside of the Full Moon Party dates 😀)

What a beautiful hidden gem of a hotel. Perfectly located on the absolutely stunning Haad Rin beach. Best swimming beach we have ever been to in all our travels throughout Thailand. We had a beachfront bungalow and would return tomorrow if we could. This hotel has a magical feeling. Set amongst beautiful shady gardens, the pool is delightfully cool - and so refreshing. The staff are very helpful and friendly the rooms are spacious and very clean. We never left the lodge for meals because the food was so good actually some of the best we've eaten in Thailand. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The perfect place to chill out and relax. I could quite happily have stayed here for 6 months. The staff are amazing, the location is perfect, rooms are totally fine, the pool and restaurant/bar area are perfect. You can even take out a SUP or kayak free of charge, for us the sup came with a dog that insisted in coming for a ride with us. Loved everything about being here.

Das Resort hat eine perfekte Lage direkt am Strand. Das leckere Frühstück, kann man direkt mit Meerblick einnehmen. Das Restaurant hat aber auch ansonsten sehr gutes Essen. Es gibt Liegen am Pool und neben dem Restaurant, und es gibt bequeme Sitzkissen für den Strand. Die Bungalows sind renoviert und sehr gemütlich. Ich hatte einen schönen Gartenblick aus meinen großen Fenstern. Das personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Ich komme bereits seit Jahren immer mal wieder ins Palita Lodge und kann es.jedem nur empfehlen.

The rooms are big and surrounded by jungle. The beach is shaded at lunch time and the breakfast is hearty. Great afternoon body surfing, terrible SUPing but definitely the best place to stay ok Haad Rin beach if you don’t mind spending $100 a night

Palita lodge is a lovely place to stay on Koh Phangan. We intentionally went on a waxing moon to avoid the craziness of full moon parties and it was quite peaceful. Few steps from the lodge restaurant and you are on the beach.The staff work very hard and are friendly and helpful. We would stay at Palita again if we find our way back to Koh Phangan.

Palita Lodge was lovely. We visited purposely during a waxing moon so we missed the party scene of the full moon. Right next to the beach and the grounds are gorgeous. The staff work very hard and are very kind and helpful. If we ever make our way back to Koh Phangan, I would stay at Palita. 🙏💕

What a beautiful place. The bungalows were perfect. The beach was clean. The location was convenient. I would stay there for 6months if I could . The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was great. This is the perfect place to stay!

Stayed here for full moon party. It’s the quieter end of the beach and staff shut the gate and remain at the beach entrance to ensure only those that are guests come in so don’t have to worry about lots of noisy people walking past your lodge. Bed was super comfy and rooms good size. Pool area has lovely view of the sea and we were always able to get a sun lounger. Breakfast was good and they do a free buffet on the night of the full moon party which had good variety. Favourite bit was you feel like youre in a forest even though it’s right at beach and this also means even though there’s other guests you actually feel fairly secluded and it’s very relaxing. Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you!

An idyllic location on a white sandy beach at Haad Rin bay with fantastic staff who all work incredibly hard to make guest’s stay perfect. Thank you to all of the staff at Palita lodge for making our stay wonderful. Definitely worth an early alarm to see the sunrise !

The owners and staff go above and beyond to take care of guests. Free kayaks and SUP’s to borrow was a bonus and most of the guests don’t use them, but we did! Lots of smokers but that’s the norm in this part of the world. Beachfront location and very low key atmosphere made in a nice getaway.

Although we did not stay at this resort, we eat many breakfasts, enjoyed dinner and stopped for drinks. Relaxing environment on the beach with friendly staff and tasty food. The palita Lodge is situated at the quieter end of the beach and although we have not seen one of the rooms the staff, food, setting and gardens suggest a stay here would be very enjoyable.

Absolutely loved the restaurant, the beach access and the pool! Very relaxing and the staff were so kind! Great location for full moon - but also very quiet at all other times. Delicious breakfast with lots of options. We ate lunch and dinner there a few times as well - excellent pad thai and curries! I would definitely come back

Fantastic friendly family fun hotel right on the beach. I came to this resort due to my brother and his family being here before and loving the experience. The owner Miss Sue is a very generous lady who makes sure everyone is well looked after. Pool amazing and right on the perfect beachfront. Accommodation is very clean and spacious. I hope to return again one day!

This is our family's happy place we absolutely love it here. The owner and her team are wonderful people rooms are spacious and modern set on one of the best beaches. Also the food here is fantastic if your in the area definitely stay here

Very friendly and family owned property - a home away from home!!! The cabins on the beach do not disappoint with the view however the room needs a little TLC. Comfy bed and pillows and hot water in both the sink and shower!! Several great choices for food and never left hungry! The property is a bit over grown with all the trees and bushes and the pool needs a bit of attention but it didn’t take away from our overall experience- Would definitely recommend!!

Individual cottages with nice size decks. Old but well maintained and clean. Beach, pool, and lounge area also clean. No chairs on the beach, which we figured out was due to high tides coming too far up. On the quiet end of Full Moon Beach. Staff friendly and professional. We did not eat at the restaurant.

There is no water pressure from the showers in an outdated and poorly maintained building

Loved my stay here. The grounds are well kept and the food was great. Staff has a warm, family feel. Far enough up the beach to escape the boom-boom music, yet close enough to walk to it. I had a modest bungalow and felt quite at home in it. Loved the common areas, excellent for book reading and lazy days.

The team and the owners are amazing! I felt like they are my family taking care of me:) The location is really great if you are looking to stay in Had Rin area (on the beach) right next to the 7/11 and the took took station. I highly recommend taking the better room as the basic is quite outdated and the toilet were very old looking. Everything is very clean and well kept however it is definitely quite old looking. The superior room was so much better. The driveway to the hotel is very difficult to climb with a suitcase as the road is broken and should be fixed so i really suggest a private taxi as the took took takes you to the bottom of the driveway. Not all staff members were English speaking which sometimes made it difficult to communicate of course. Overall it is one of the best options in Had rin and the restaurant is really great, everything i had was delicious.

Near the end of the beach, nice relaxing setting, huge pool, very friendly & accommodating owner, we weren't best suited with the room we had booked so asked for a room change, which the owner gladly did with no fuss at all, nice breakfast served at the restaurant right next to the beach, lovely stay, look forward to returning again

This was our second stay with Mrs Su (last time 2015 when we went for 2 days and extended to 10 days). We always wanted to return and we were not disappointed! The warmth we received was outstanding. There is nothing they can’t arrange for you, nothing too much trouble. The rooms are simple, cleaned every day. Great value for money. The food is lovely. The service flawless. Give us Palita every day compared to a generic 4 star hotel, there is such pride in the running of this place by Mrs Su who runs it beautifully. Side note re Koh phangan…it’s just finding its feet post covid and you can see the impact on businesses that are just coming back. Give it a shot though, particularly Haad Rin beach, it’s just lovely. We’ll be back!!

Prachtig gelegen aan het strans en onwijs lief personeel. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Huisjes ( tuinzijde) wel wat krap. Verder een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Alle drukte op loopafstand. Hoewel, erg druk was het nu niet met dat virus

Hôtel bien située avec une mer superbe par contre énormément de bout de verres attention avec les enfants mais l’hôtel n’y est pour rien. Nous avons pris 2 chambres une dans un état correct l’autre catastrophique nous avons démanger de changer pour les nouveaux lodges bien plus propre mais j’ai payé 400€ de plus pour 2 chambres et 4 nuits alors que j’avais déjà payé plus de 500€ et avec un excellent rabais mais j’ai préféré payé pour continuer à passer de belles vacances. L’avantage de l’hôtel la plage et l’endroit et les chambres neuves pour le reste non.

The property is beautiful and in a great location. The bungalows are clean and the AC works great. The pool was excellent. The food in the restaurant was quite good and you can't beat the view. The only problem with the property is not their fault at all. They are on the main "party" beach. While the rooms are a bit set back from the beach, you absolutely can hear the bass line from the nearest club until the wee hours of the morning. We expected it to be loud on the Full Moon night. The surprise was that the bass would play until 3 or 4 in the morning every single night of our 4 night stay! Otherwise, the service was great and I would highly recommend staying here.

The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. It’s a family owned business and the take pride in their guests. Felt like a home and the food was amazing!!! And very affordable, it’s right at the end of the beach where the full moon party is but far enough away. And the ate stricter on their rules so it’s great for those of us who may not want to party all night.

Мы выбрали 8-й раз этот отель без сожаления и вернемся не раз. Все наши друзья и знакомые здесь перебывали не раз по нашим оекомендациям и все, без исключения, довольны

C’etait Super. C’est une entreprise familiale. Tout le monde sont souriant, gentil et aimable. Les chambres c’est comme des vieux entités maisonnettes individuelles et l’emplacement est idéal. Sur la plage où sont lés party full moon. Par contre nous c’etait Très tranquille même un peu trop. Je suggère fortement. En plus en débarquant du traversier, c’est 10 minutes à pieds.

Highly recommended! Such a nice location and simply the best staff. Oh and the food is amazing! We never ate out! For the full moon, it's not in the middle of the maddness so the perfect spot to be but still you are right there 50m away.

Joli bungalow sur la plage mais durant la full moon lest impossible de dormir, alors faisons la fetes avec limites. Personnel attentifs et sympathiques. What else

Delicious food with proximity to the shops and full moon party if your interested in that. There is no DJs right at the front of the hotel during the party which is nice as you can get away from it and go to sleep at your leisure. The buffet dinner they provide at the party was amazing. We had a very nice and peaceful stay at the hotel.

We absolutely loved every moment of our stay at Palita Lodge! The location was perfect, ammenities were beautiful and the rooms, although simple, were exactly what you would need for a beach villa. I cant praise the staff enough, they were beyond lovely and accomodating. Also, the free breakfasts were amazing! We couldnt believe we lucked out in finding this hotel. Thank you for an incredible vacation!

Отель в целом понравился, номер хоть и маленький, простенький, но есть все необходимое, и огромный плюс это большой балкон, по просьбе даже чайник дали) Кровать кинг сайз правда почему то состояла из двух матрасов, что не очень удобно, но да ладно... Доброжелательный персонал, завтраки на выбор из 6 пунктов, все что брали было очень вкусно, готовят они очень хорошо! Единственное замечание это пальмы с кокосами в самой гостинице и на выходе на пляж, кокосы только при нас падали несколько раз! Хорошо что рядом, а не на голову... Нужно либо сетки ставить, либо кокосы убирать...

Great location, good breakfast with beach view, the room is very simple and even no kettle. I had problem with ants but they solve the problem immidetely. The hotels is kind of village and a lot of trees and nature outside so you need know that maybe some insects can enter your room but nothing special and scary (happened a lot in all the hotels in Koh pahngan) .

We really had a nice time at Palita Lodge. The view is amazing. The pool is big and nice after an afternoon at the beach. We were surprised of quiet this place was, in the center of Haad Rin. The staff was really helpful with us and really nice. The bungalows are really nice and spaceful.

Das Hotel ist in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. Ständig werden Dinge erneuert. Wir waren in einem frisch renovierten Bungalow untergebracht. Da wir nicht zur Halfmoon/Fullmoon-Zeit da waren, war der Stand weder überlaufen noch war es laut. Jeden Tag wurde der Strand gesäubert. Das Wasser war ganz klar und sehr seicht. Das Hotel ist gut für Familien geeignet. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir würden wieder dort hin fahren.

The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We forgot to get our deposit back for the key as they were helping us make special arrangements for our ride to the ferry and as we were boarding the ferry about 30 mins later, one of the staff came running down the dock to give us our 1000 bahts. Highly recommend this place. It was during the half moon that we stayed so this part of the beach is slow and we had a very quiet resort. Going down the beach you can hear music all night at the other hotels even during the off season. This hotel is right on the beach and they clean the sand out front every night.

フルムーンパーティーの時期で空いてる部屋が一番高いジャグジー付きのスイートしかなかったので予約したが、ジャグジーのお湯の出が悪く結局、お湯が溜まるまで1時間以上かかる事に。 溜まった頃にはただの水になっていてとてもじゃないが入れるレベルではなかった。 これではスイートルームを予約した価値が全く無かったです。

Air conditioned spacious bungalow with comfy bed, flat screen, storage space but no wardrobe. Freshly prepared breakfast at choice, terrace with sea view. Stayed there at quiet times which I enjoyed.

For the quality of the room, service, and in-house food, this place is absolutely value for money. It is at the edge of Haad Rin beach and while not too far from the main activities, it was much quieter at night from the loud music. We went not in the full moon party season but still enjoyed it very much!

I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I only stayed 1. It was nothing the resort or staff did to make me change my plans. It was just that this resort is extremely rustic, rather bare bones. It was a bit too rustic for my taste. The grounds are nice, as is the pool. The resort had no beach chairs which seems to be the norm on this beach. The staff was certainly 5 star although they leave the premises at 9 p.m. It felt like more of a cute adult sleepaway camp rather than a hotel or resort. The facilities are all in good working order and condition for what they were. Everything was clean. If you want back-to-nature accommodations and like the super simple set up of this hotel (not a resort), then you will like this location. If you want or need any luxury or upmarket creature comforts, then perhaps Palita is not for you.

This "resort" is extremely rustic. Not worn out or dirty but RUSTIC. The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained but bareboned and minimal albeit cute. It was clean and the facilities seemed to work. I only stayed one night because it just was not to my taste. (No closet, hangers, drawers (there are a couple of shelves, night front desk) However the staff were extremely helpful and very nice. If you want rustic, unsophisticated, old world Thaia, this place may be a good fix. If you are looking for any sort of luxury, you will be disappointed. With that disclaimer in mind, I do recommend it for people who want this type of accommodation. Again, the workers/owners make up for the lack of modern amenities.

We stayed during the full moon party and it was perfect. Our bungalow was far enough back from the beach that the noise didn't keep us up all night, but we were right in the middle of the party action! Nice big pool and friendly staff, we will definitely come back!

Having been to the Full Moon Party before I was aware of the need to book in advance for somewhere good, and also that many places required a block booking of "x" days around the event. With that in mind, I was pleased I could book for the night of the party itself only. In terms of expense, for someone on a two week vacation it was completely affordable, for someone backpacking for months on a budget (as I have done before) this would be a luxury stop. The little lady who runs the Palita Lodge was lovely. Upon arrival we were given a drink on the house as we checked in, the room was great - air con, clean bathroom (absolute must) and a comfy bed. As with all accommodation around the party, we were informed of the rules and fines associated with fluorescent body paint - we stuck to the rules and got our full deposit back. On the night of the party, the lady running the lodge put on a buffet for guests and once again provided a free drink - a very personal touch that I was impressed with. I couldn't believe this was included in my booking, it saved having to go out and eat before going to the party. Location? - brilliant. For the party, it really is a short stroll down to the beach. It's situated at one end rather than in the middle, it will be loud all night but if you've had a few then you'll still sleep. There's a pool and bar area which we simply didn't have time to use. Breakfast was also decent and a ferry shuttle service was available for a reasonable price.

Wouldn't recommend if you're over the age of 25.

Great stay, provide beach towels and breakfast

If you are looking for a nice hotel during the full moon party, this is the place for you. Located on the Had-rin beach, this is a very nice hotel with nice staff and good restaurant.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, lovely pool area, overlooking the beach. Very friendly staff.. perfect for the full moon party! Will book again if I come again! Amazing value for money. The full moon buffet was a lovely touch too!
