Golden Club Cabanas

I was pleasantly surprised by everything at the Golden club hotel. I'd been slightly worried by some reviews before we arrived but i can honestly say our stay in August was excellent. It's a great 3 star hotel. All the staff were brilliant, my children went to kids club on our last 2 days and loved it, huge thanks to Junior, Andre, Pedro and Vinny, especially Junior who took my daughter under his wing and Pedro who entertained my son. The pool was huge and the only one in the world that actually had free loungers at almost any time of the day! The boat over to the beach was fun and the beach nice, with warmer water than the west coast. The room was a cheaper room, sunrise, and was spacious, well equipt and very clean. Plenty of hot water for showers and cleaners came every other day and did a wonderful job. I can only assume that people are expecting far more than they paid for, hand on heart, this is a great find.

Um pouco de confusão a entrada, a limpeza é fraca. Mas as condições da piscina e a equipa de animação são bastante bons. Saldo final Bom Estivemos no regime meia pensão

Golden Club er et Dejligt sted med smuk grønt miljø uden for vores vindue. Dog efter min mening for meget musik ved poolen. Rent og venligt sted og jeg vil komme der igen.

Me ha gustado las instalaciones, piscinas exteriores y piscins interior. Lo que mejoraria es el catering.

L'hôtel en lui même est plutôt sympathique avec une option piscine couverte, hammam, spa et sauna agréable en hors saison d'été. Le personnel est accueillant. D'un autre côté l'offre de restauration n'est pas très bonne, choix restreint sûr le petit déjeuner et dîner et la qualité des produits proposés est médiocre. La literie de notre chambre été vétuste... Nous avons déjà vu bien mieux dans un 4*.

Nice location but rooms are very dated and need some updates.

Have stayed here 5 times only because there are not many options in Cabanas but each year the apartments look shabby no maintenance updates at all The bathroom tiles are cracked the cleaners do the best they can In March there are no facilities open just a basic cafe no entertainment you hardly see staff around The grounds are clean and tidy though

Grand appartement avec 2 chambres et 2 pieces d’eau. Tout equiper. L exposition plein sud est top en hiver. Beau balcon. Le moins, le manque de ventillation dans les pieces fait qu il u a de la condensation en hiver sur les fenetres et mouille le carrelage. Idem pout la salle de bain pas de vmc ( juste ventillation haute et basse . Pas de chauffage dans les salles de bain en hiver c est froid

Cheap & Cheerful, superb pool, helpful staff.

A proximité d'une immense et très belle plage accessible en navette gratuite depuis l'hôtel. Equipe d'animation très sympathique, piscine intérieure avec sauna agréable pour la periode d'octobre. Des rénovations et entretiens concernant les logements seraient à prendre en compte avec quelques traces d'humidités. La personne de l'accueil du restaurant est très agréable et devrait communiquer son sourire à lensemble du personnel.

L hôtel est très agréable et propre. Les 3 piscines et l animation sont très bien. Les buffets sont variés et satisfaisants. La réception du restaurant est parfaite grâce à l employée qui accueille toujours avec un mot gentil et un sourire agréable. Par contre, il y a un manque d amabilité des serveurs (très discrets cependant) et du personnel en circulation dans l hôtel. Peu d entre eux saluent les clients. L anglais est de mise. Le français n est que peu parlé même à la réception malheureusement. L accès à la belle plage se fait par bateau navette.

Tout est parfait, on avait un réservé un appart hôtel très propre et fonctionnel pour 5 personnes avec vue sur le Rio Famosa En octobre, il y a quand même des animations la journée et le soir, ce qui est vraiment agréable. A l'accueil tout est très bien expliqué et reformulé. Seul Bémol personne ne parle français ou espagnol (en tout cas les 2 personnes à notre arrivée) et quand on est pas fort en anglais ça peut être compliqué. Divers espace de parking autour des bâtiments ce qui est appréciable. Nous avons été déçu de la proposition des plats le soir, on a rien trouvé de très local et souvent répétitif. Et en réservant le petit dej il faut choisir de perdre le petit déjeuner non remboursé ou de s'abstenir de voir les dauphins (même avec leur partenaire).

If you are planning a stay where you plan to cook , you better stock up on oven mittens, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, and a kitchen towel. Also while you go shopping for all that , buy some soap,shampoo , conditioner and lotion and beach towels and if you want a good sleep buy some pillows. They suck!! We got 3 towels for a family of 3 so if you plan going at the beach you are stuck . Oh and the buffet ..powered eggs and canned fruit . Enjoy!

Appartement bien équipé, propre....malheureusement beaucoup de moustiques, prévoir des anti moustiques . Au restaurant ,la nourriture est varié et bonne. A la plage , océan propre et frais, le sable est propre , dommage pas de douche , ainsi que les chaises longues de l'hôtel payantes pour tous le monde (y compris les résidents de l'hôtel) .

Good location, but dated. Comfortable and has amenities to make a longer stay perfect. The area is great and has amazing beaches!!

This is a complex not hotel and be prepared to accept this. Everything is scattered across , bar, dining, pools etc. The nice part is clearly the beach reached by free boat. The complex is dated, noisy with doors clunking, beds being dragged across tiled floors, in fact cleaning staff do this exceptionally well so no lie in. Off season so maintenance going on adding to noise and inconvenience. 4 night stay was plenty but not a place I’d recommend for any longer.

Prima appartement, goed en behulpzaam personeel, heerlijk ontbijtbuffet en veel ontspanning op loopafstand.

It was off season but still had options for where to eat, shop, and to go sightsee. The taxi company they use are good and reasonably priced for when the buses weren't available. The staff were super helpful and helped me make the most of my stay. I really enjoyed it and plan to return there in the future.

We have been here in the past, as it is nice and peaceful this time of the year yet climate still hot and sunny. Entertainment and bar still going strong to end of October. You can walk to the train station & get to town 1euro something or visit other resorts off the same line- boat taxi ( free) to the beach which is first class - Depends what you are looking for - hustle & bustle or peace & quiet- well run large site would be great for the kids if they where not in school 🙂.

Great place for families. Weather in mid October was just beautiful, the outside pool was great for the kids. It was lovely and quiet during the Scottish October break so lots of sun loungers etc - guess it could get a bit crowded during peak season but that's the same everywhere. Hadn't planned on using kids club but the program was so nice that they ended up going a few times. Beach accessible by using a small boat which only takes a few minutes. Maintenance team were super quick and helpful (replaced an entire oven in less than an hour when it stopped working!).

Hôtel club avec piscines, spectacles, activités pour enfants etc. et proche de la plage (en bateau navette). Chambre pratique avec kitchenette, balcon, machine à laver, wifi efficace mais literie plutôt à renouveler. Petit déjeuner correct, peu varié. Hôtel un peu à l’écart et assez loin des commerces, un vélo / une voiture est pratique. La gare est à 1.5km environ. Tavira, vill très agréable, est à environ 15 minutes en voiture

Im grossen und ganzen war das Hotel/ Appartement gut, sauber, alles war zu Fuss zugänglich, zentral. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und es gab sehr viele aktivitäten. Negativ ist das sie keine eigenen Parkplätze haben, man riskiert kein Parkplatz zu finden und an der Strasse parkieren zu müssen. Die Parkplätze sind öffentlich und gratis. Die Zimmer könnten eine Renovierung vertragen. Eine Waschmaschine im Zimmer fehlt oder sonst ein Waschsalon im Hotel.

Gestão difícil com a ligação dos electrodomésticos à energia elétrica. Tinha uma só tomada para o microondas e esta também servia a cafeteira. À parte disto, tudo o resto foi excelente, atendimento e instalação. Certamente vou voltar.

Maravilloso hotel, el personal es muy atento, las instalaciones exteriores son de hotel de 5 estrellas. X poner una pega, los apartamentos son un poco antiguos, xo estaba limpisimo y las camas muy comodas, no se puede pedir mas!

Apartamento em boas condições, boa relação preço /qualidade, limpeza boa, piscina exterior com água muito limpa e com cadeiras para todas as pessoas. Serviço de refeições com uma variedade limitada, mas de uma confecção excelente e nunca faltou. Funcionários muito atenciosos e eficientes.

A lovely waterfront location wasted by this property. Poorly maintained and ill equipped apartment for a long-term stay. Should be taken off-market until physical plant has been updated and thoroughly cleaned. Mandatory wearing of plastic wristband was useful only for boat ride to oceanfront. Indoor hot tub requires bathing cap (didn't know these still exist) and indoor gym costs extra. The entire property is an embarrassment to Portugal.

A good value hotel in Tavira..i would stay again

Great location near the quiet, natural beach, the fishing village and groceries.

De tuin en het zwembad zien er prima uit. De kamer zelf is minder goed onderhouden met name de badkamer. Er kwam bruin water uit de kraan, hier is melding van gedaan maar niet verholpen. Het is er heel gehorig, je hoort vooral de stoelen over de vloeren schuiven, wc's doortrekken enz.

Chauffage compliqué, ménage limité, eau chaude limité (pas possible de faire 1 bain 1 douche) Mais endroit calme, personnel accueillant et souriant

Nice that they have a washing machine and the private beach is nice. I hesitate to write a negative review, but I feel very tricked by the website in this case. All apartments are smoking rooms and the first room we were given was so heavily filled with years of smoke we could not stay there with our infant and asked to change. We were moved to a nicer room (funny bc at check-in she gave me the option of both rooms initially and I said to please give us the nicer of the two). Furniture, floors, walls are all sparse and very dated/grungy. AC/Heat units did not work the whole time, electricity went out and we had to call and wait to get it restored when all we had on was 1 burner on the stove and the toaster. Posted activities but no staff there to facilitate, and upcharging for balls (10E) when website makes it look included. The purchase of swim caps for indoor pool is completely unnecessary if you know how to maintain the pool.

This is second visit since 3 years and there have been some updates to room. However in November it is lifeless and listless about place. Equally must be a monstrosity of an all inclusive at height of season. Clean room, towels, sheets. polite staff. Food at breakfast very pathetic for level of hotel. Probably won’t return.

Very close to the downtown area. Easy walk to the boardwalk and restaurants. I was there in November but the weather was perfect sunny daily. Played golf nearby

The facilities of this accommodation were pretty good. I choose this accommodation also for the modern interiors of the rooms, light and bright colors. Unfortunately, the interior turned out to be in a brown outdated style. That was disappointing. Also the beach (which you access per boat) did not have any facilities nearby and they are closed in October. Staff was really friendly and the area is great.

Positivt: Rymlig lägenhet med 2 badrum. Härlig balkong med utsikt mot trädgård och hav. Gick att nyttjas oavsett väder tack vare tak. Närhet till stranden och till mysigt samhälle med strandpromenaden och flera restauranger. Trevlig personal. Nackdelar: Saknade köksutrustning tex kaffebryggare, skärbräda, större koppar. Saknade daglig städning, behövs inte bytas sängkläder dagligen men städa golven och byta handdukar. Fick endast 1 städning på 5 nätter. Saknade kärl till sop sortering. Hoppas verkligen soporna sorterades senare av städpersonalen.

Un tres gros complexe Si vous chercher un appartement spacieux avec climatisation allez y. Si vous cherchez un logement cosy mais pas une usine n'y allez pas. Stationnement tres tres difficile. Piscines bordées. Acces plage par bateau comptez dix minutes jusqu'au bateau qui prend deuw minutes et ensuite encore de la marche jusqu'a la plage. Cet établissement ne nous correspond pas du tout.

Het was er heel erg vies en we zijn na 3 overnachtingen weggegaan naar een betere accommodatie. Schimmel in de badkamer, overal spinrag. Vieze bende.

Very tired old property with a pretty 24-hr concierge. Onsite restaurant closed on first night. Managed to space our 2 rooms as far as possible. Can hear people coughing, scraping chairs and talking through poorly sound-proofed walls, floors and ceilings. Good for noisy young Northern European families but otherwise pass. 2 Euros a day for passport safe.

We've been going to Cabanas for 20 years and its our first stay at Golden Club. Fab place. Fantastic location at the west end of tge village looking out over the lagoon to the sea, beautiful. Two great pools and lots more to do, if you want. Our studio was perfect for 2. Little kitchenette were we did breakfast, plenty of room and the view from the balcony perfect, staff helpful and eager to please. Free boat trips to the beach across the lagoon. Perfectly placed for access to Cabanas promenade. We hired bikes, just 10 euros for the day. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would go back to Golden club. Great parking too Bem obrigado.

A nice place, clean and friendly staff!

Nice place and good prices on low season. Our apt had 2 bedrooms and it was comfortable even though it looked a bit "old". Outdoor pool was nice as well as the kids area. We got a little confused trying the indoor pool because they did not provide us any towel to dry up and it was not allowed to take towels from the room.

An average Portuguese hotel off season in December where no great interest shown by staff , no helpful information, no suggestions, a restaurant under refurbishment and told go straight out the door and walk to External restaurants. The facilities off season limited to bar , swimming Indoor pool & gym (used pool nice but can’t hold huge no’s ) small sauna & steam room. It is set up for summer all inclusive where entertainment & outdoor facilities come to life. There is a free boat service to island where you a beautiful long sandy beach and Is beautiful. You are a distance from Tavira worth a visit , can reach from local train station which is about mile & half to walk to. Explore Cabanas & back streets , little local dining places & bars offer good value for food & drinks it doesn’t all have to be down the front & walk way. Acid test would I return probably not although Cabanas de Tavira is a pretty place.

The resort was ok. There’s no internet - limit access is located in a lobby. Pool is great!

Great location for a family holiday. The hotel offers a great variety of entertainment for kids and adults. The room we stayed in was quite dated but very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, even during busy times.

No cleaning service provided no towel change and no bedding change even had to ask for toilet roll. Supposed to have been done twice during our stay. The apartment was really nice
