Kussens niet fijn

Hartelijk personeel, schoon, lekker centraal op de markt van Watou. Prima ontbijt.

Kan niks bedenken.

Bijzonder vriendelijke eigenaresse. Heerlijk verwarmd zwembad. Uitzicht op het plein en heerlijke bieren in cafe.

Het onthaal vond ik warm en gezellig. De kamer was eerder fijn.

Voor het ontbijt zou ik minder ingepakte voeding aanbieden.

The hotel is in a lovely tiny towns town square, the whole town is in walking distance. All facilities are excellent, there is a great communal area air conditioned to be used by all guests, and a roof top garden to sun lounge with BBQ facilities too. In the little town there are several bars and restaurants too, including the hotels as well. Downstairs I found a great pub games play room with lots of traditional pub games available, which is amazing!

I've been to the solo room. The room is very small, the shower is good, but the rest of the wet room is too small for me to actually use, like it was an after thought.

erg goede ligging voor mijn korte trip naar Poperinge waar ik aan het modelauto racen was. er was wel tregelijk een kermis op het plein voor het hotel, weinig last van gehad, hotel is verder erg knus en sober, vooral druk voor het personeel zo lijkt het, moest wel even wachten voor je aan de beurt bent, maar ach... je bent op vakantie, geen probleem!

net iets groter bed en locatie van de TV aan de muur (dwars op het bed, niet handig)

Verouderd, versleten en slechte bedden, je hoort mensen snurken in andere kamers, de vloerbedekking is aan vervanging toe, het is er nogal rommelig. Hotel naam niet waardig.

La miniscule chambre ne vaut pas plus que 45€ mais le contrat est respecté.

Lovely family run hotel, friendly staff and spacious room. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Parking close by.

Die Gastfrau war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Sie konnte sogar ein bisschen Deutsch und das hat mir sehr geholfen. Das Zimmer ist ruhig gelegen.

No complaints at all!

We have stayed at Het Wethuys several times and will definitely continue to do so. Breakfast and dinner is good, the rooms are comfortable, the family and people that is "operating" the place are fabulous. Combined with a spacious parking place (old market place) right outside the hotel ... it couldn't be better.

The bar next door (felt like under the room) which had a loud karaoke party on Saturday night till late. Not so great when you have an early start and a 6+ hour drive home. Never did get the Wi-Fi going...

Gezellig familiehotel, gastvrij en hardwerkende eigenaren die aandacht voor de gasten hebben.

Tof verblijf. Toffe ontvangst. Oud huis, maar dat heeft ook z'n charme. Ontbijt zou wat uitgebreider mogen zijn.

Proprietor was incredibly kind and helpful. She accomodated us with breakfast before the kitchen opened becaise she knew we had to be on the road early.

What a fabulous little hotel, so very Belgian. Would recommend.

There were 4 of us (my 2 daughters and cousin) in our group and we absolutely loved this gem of an inn. It was a delightful surprise to stay in this historic place and speak with the owner/innkeeper about the history of the area and the inn itself. Ms Barbara presented the tastiest and most varied breakfast as well, which was included in our price. It is located a little out of the way from busy Ypres (maybe 15-20 minutes by car), but well worth it.

Ontvangst en behulpzaamheid van de staf is zeer hartelijk en bereid om alle vragen met heel goede suggesties en aanbevelingen te beantwoorden. Gezellige informele sfeer kwalitatief lekker eten. erg gewaardeerd en ervan genoten.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days during Easter 2018. We have previously stayed at several hotels in this area, but it seems like we have found our dream hotel this time. The hotel is a quite small family operated hotel. It includes a good complimentary breakfast, and you may as well eat dinner, and drink the local beer there. (They even have their own hotel beer which in no way depreve the opinion that this area has the best beer in the world.) The area has great parking facilites just 10 meters away from the hotel. They were expanding the number of rooms and installing an elevator when we visited, but this did not spoil our experience at all. We were a bit sceptical about staying at a 2 star hotel, but the scepticism disappeared as soon as we entered the hotel, and was met by the most friendly family in the world. The room we stayed in was spacious with a comfortable bed, a nice bath room and even a refrigerator where we could cool down local specialities (i.e. beers) and taste the in the room. We will definitely stay here at our next stay in this area.

We like this hotel, hence our return visit. It is dog-friendly, which is important to us. It is cosy, comfortable and friendly with good food. This time, even though the owner and staff were battling with 'flu' as well as refurbishment we were still made very welcome.

Very good value and perfect hosts. Situated in a great little old world charm town.

Great location in the town of Watou. The staff was very friendly, and the room clean, spacious and comfortable....except there was a heat wave going on and the room was quite warm at night even with all of the windows open. I would happily stay there again, however, as the location was great for my travel to Ypres, Dunkirk, Westvleteren and other historic World War I sites in the area.

We were welcomed wholeheartedly, had a lovely dinner and a pleasant night. The setup seems geared to winter and in June we were quite hot even in the room. The room was quirky but totally comfortable and included a mini fridge.. That said the lady (owner?) was really friendly, and even laid on an early breakfast for us as we were leaving early to catch a ferry. I am going impressed by the service and intend to stay here again next year.

Staff friendly and spoke good English. Rooms very clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent. Nicely situated on the town square and very dog friendly.
