The Courtyard B&B

Nice, clean room and Joe is a super welcoming host. We arrived about 7 in the morning after getting off our overnight flight to Shannon. It’s about a 10 minute drive from the airport. We paid for an extra night to ensure we could go straight to the B&B and get into our room. Joe greeted us at the door and offered breakfast when we arrived. We will definitely stay again if we ever come back through Shannon.

wonderful owner/host

Breakfast was very nice. Fruit, yogurt, cereal, Irish breakfast, cake, muffins, tea and coffee.

Very comfortable room, Great location, close to the Airport

We had a lovely stay at the Courtyard. We needed a late check-in and Joe was very accommodating. We had a delicious breakfast made to order. Really enjoyed our brief stay here.

Joe was great!

Rooms were good size and clean but could use a decor refresh. Blackout curtains and new bed pillows would be a good start. Breakfast was great and it was conveniently located to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and several restaurants all within walking distance. I would stay here again if I’m back in this area. If

Extremely charming and cute bed and breakfast in a great location. Rooms are very clean! Joe is an excellent host and cooked us a great made to order breakfast. Very close to Shannon Airport. You will not regret booking!

Very helpful and gracious host. Solid breakfast.

Joe at the Courthouse greeted us warmly and gave us all kinds of great tips for our adventure the next day. The room was the nicest we have come across in our week long Irish adventure all over the island! Big bathroom too. There was a wonderful cozy lodge room for us to sit and relax in. We walked next door for a delicious evening meal and a drink. The breakfast was delicious and made to order. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

The owner was an amazing man, very Friendly & accommodating. Everything is within walking distance. The Shannon Airport is 15 min away. The B&B is beautiful, cozy and we loved our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. Amazing breakfast too.

We had a very nice one night stay at the property. Very good restaurant next door. The breakfast in the morning was excellent.

Very nice stay! Thanks for the great customer service and pleasant surroundings.

Loved that we were so close to Bunratty castle. We walked and there were lots of families out and about and it felt extremely safe. The owner of the property was very nice and obliging. The rooms and hotel had a lot of cottage charm. Breakfast was lovely. The owner himself served made us breakfast, having our table set up and ready for our party at the time requested. Very nice.

Great overnight stay and breakfast. Close to Bunratty Castle.

A lovely little B&B. Clean and well-equipped and the owner was absolutely wonderful in making suggested stops for us on the way to our next destination in in Ireland.

We loved our stay at The Courtyard. It was a rejuvenating stay for us - light and airy, beautiful artwork. Very clean and comfortable. The sitting room was a beautiful room with a high trussed ceiling and a large fireplace (no fire). We enjoyed one of the best nights of our vacation there. Last but not least, the breakfast was made to order and delicious!

Amazing staff! Delicious breakfast made to order. Quaint yet spacious. Perfect location for some things to do but also to Shannon Airport. Stayed with my daughter for a week throughout various parts of Ireland and this was our favorite stay! I lost my jacket and my daughter emailed to see if I left it there, Joe responded to her right away! Thanks for everything!

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the location was convenient.

Joe was awesome! Super helpful in every way. Our room was great and so was the breakfast. Exactly what we hoped for.

Great location near the airport, clean facilities and friendly staff.

Joe was an amazing host! So friendly and full of helpful information! The room was very large and clean. The area is quiet but walkable to every place we were going. I would stay here again and again!

Super close to bus stop, and just a few more to Durty Nelly’s and Bunratty Castle. Our host, Joe, was fabulous. We arrived before noon and he was there to greet us and hold our luggage. When we returned later that afternoon, our luggage had been moved to our room. Breakfast the next morning was great- full Irish breakfast, but also cereal, yogurt, and a variety of fruit and little muffins were available. Joe also gave us some great recommendations for our next stop, Limerick.

The host Joe was a really nice person and made good breakfast too.

Joe is great. Friendly place close to the Bunratty Castle. Great restaurants just a short walk away. Excellent breakfast included. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

What a quaint lovely B and B! We enjoyed the traditional Irish breakfast made to order . Joe was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for the area including a short walk to the Bunratty Castle and walkable dinner options with live traditional Irish music. Close to the Shannon airport. We would stay there again!

It was a great place to get rid of awful jet lag. The area around is full of historic places. Ate at Dirty Nellies. I thinking I will be back someday.

Host was wonderful, very helpful and kind.

Roomy rooms. Very nice and comfortable. The manager is wonderful.

Amazing stay. Breakfast was provided, and staff was extremely friendly and helpful with directions

Lovely stay in a great location. Joe, our host, was very informative and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Loved this place! Proprietor could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Music was playing while we ate which was a nice touch. Within walking distance of Bunratty Village which was so convenient. Room was clean and comfortable and decor was very nice. The lounge was comfy. Overall a great experience! Close to Shannon airport too so travel is easy.

Amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

This place was great, and Joe was awesome. Great breakfast. Walking distance to the Bunratty Castle!

Cute and comfortable place, nicely appointed, and convenient parking. Welcoming and friendly host, and tasty breakfast - great all around. There are several restaurants with live music a quick walk up the road, and laundry machines at the gas station nearby. Close to Bunratty castle if your visiting there, and not far from Limerick (our main destination - Clare Glen is a lovely walk!)

Great stay

Unique old county hospitality paired with great modern amenities. Breakfast was cooked to order to perfection and included in that was a massive selection of a la carte options. We felt welcomed and appreciated for staying! Would easily stay again!

We rented three rooms, all were very nice and clean. All of us had the best rest as the mattresses were very comfortable and the linens were of really good quality. The showers had really hot water and soap and shampoo was available. The B&B had two large comfortable areas were you could hang out and relax. Breakfast was available for a fee. You could select from hot food and cold. They had lots of breads, cereals, fruit and juice available. Breakfast was great, the owner was the cook. Right next door was a restaurant and bar that was open until 1 AM. I would stay here again, Highly recommend.

Breakfast was delicious, staff was very nice and we felt welcomed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard B&B. Despite having the place to ourselves, the friendly staff went out of their way to make sure we were fully taken care of with a huge breakfast spread. The beds were very comfortable but most of all, the friendly staff made it a memorable experience we will never forget.

Our room was cozy and clean. Joe was very friendly and welcoming. He went the extra mile by cooking breakfast for all his guests, which we thought was delicious! Highly recommend.

Such a wonderful stay at Courtyard B&B. It was our final night in Ireland and we loved being very close walking distance to Durty Nelly's for our last hurrah before the flight home the next day. The rooms very adorable and the staff was very friendly. We had an excellent breakfast the next morning that was included cooked to order.  We definitely recommend staying here for anyone who wants to be in close proximity to Bunratty Castle and Durty Nellys !

Very nice place with clean comfortable rooms. Joe cooks a wonderful breakfast and check in/checkout very easy. Perfect location !

Stayed here for a night before going to our final destination. Shannon is a great little town. Restaurant next door was delicious and Bunratty castle was a couple minute walk down the street. So much fun!

Very nice spot for our one night stay before leaving from Shannon the next day. Good restaurant right next door. Lovely breakfast.

This hotel is owned by Joe and he does an amazing job with it. The location is excellent to walk to eat and to visit Bunratty Castle. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. We stayed in September 2023

Joe was friendly courteous and helpful. He even offered to make breakfast before official dining hours due to our early flight!! Wish we had more time to explore this area!!

Great place! Close to the airport and Bunratty Castle. Close to several pubs and restaurants. I recommend this place to everyone.

The owner was very helpful with ideas and knowledge of various points of interest. Also an excellent cook for breaksfast. Best place i have stayed in Ireland so far.

Joe is an awesome owner who care for his customers

Jo was very friendly and helpful. Property clean and lovely freshly made breakfast.

Joe, who runs the place, is lovely. He’s knowledgeable of the area and makes you feel at home quickly.

I liked this property for its convenience of location. It was a 10 minute drive to the airport and right next door was a wonderful restaurant. The staff was very friendly. Perfect for a night or a week.

John is a terrific host and the property is wonderful. We had an early flight the next morning from Shannon, and not only is this property convenient, it is clean, warm, and inviting. Will definitely stay there again.

Joe is an amazing host! Not only was his property sparkling clean, he was able to accommodate my weird food allergy without missing a beat! Will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard. The rooms & sitting area were very comfortable. Joe made a delicious Irish breakfast with lots of options in a pretty breakfast area. Bunratty is a short walk and PJ Clarke’s is right next door. Lucky to have found this B&B & will recommend to family & friends!

Joe was amazing. He went out of his way to tend to all our needs and requests. All the bathrooms are updated. A great place to stay in the area!

It was all good.

It was perfect! The owner was a great source of knowledge pertaining to our needs. The breakfast there was the best I have had in all of Ireland. Kudos to Joe for a job well done.

Joe gave us some tips about our driving route and sights to see. We took his advice and had a great time, beautiful views. Also, mattresses were 10/10.

Joe is very kind and we loved meeting him! The Creamery and Bunratty castle are just down the street, which was amazing. Room was clean and cozy. Loved it!

We cannot say enough good things about Joe! He met us for a late check in, made an amazing breakfast and gave us tips and directions before sending us on our way. We all wished we had more time to spend here. Absolutely perfect!

The owner of this lovely place was one of our favorite people we met on our trip. He was so genuine, friendly, and helpful. Some of our activities while there were amazing and were ideas he had given us that we didn’t even know about. Room was also lovely, and breakfast was amazing! Thank you!

The owner/chef was very personable and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, and rooms were small but comfortable. It was an easy walk to the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, and there were several restaurants there as well.

The owner was very welcoming.

Joe was an excellent host. Rooms were large, clean and very well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Would definitely recommend to all.

Excellent place to stay, great breakfast and an exceptionally welcoming host. Joe did his utmost to make us feel welcome and giving us most welcome suggestions for dinner and visiting the area.

The breakfast was excellent and the family room was ideal for our stay with children

Host was very nice and cooked an amazing breakfast in the morning. Shower was weird and does not fit two people well

This is a very nice pleacejust a few minutes walk from Bunratty park. Joe is a wonderful host, very kind and helpful. Everything in it has been re-done, and it is just as nice as could be. Very high recommendations all the way around. The bus stop to get to Shannon in Airport is about a one minute walk from the courtyard. I had to catch the 530 bus, and it was right on time.

Excellent - super clean , very hospitable host, great breakfast ! Walking distance to castle and shops Highly recommend !

Beautiful property, well maintained, friendly owner. My experience there was amazing. If you want to be near Bunratty Castle and Durty Nelly’s this place is a must

Although this b and b was on a busy street, it was so quiet I slept with an open window and heard the birds. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t stay for the cooked breakfast, but the cold offerings and toast and tea were great I’ll be sure to book there again, perhaps making it my home base.

This is one of the nicest spots you could possibly stay. The owner Joe is onsite and just about the most welcoming person you can imagine. He’s cooking breakfast every morning and sat down with me for an hour helping to map out the best route for my family’s travels around western Ireland. The rooms are great. We had the family suite which was perfect with a separate bedroom and bathroom for my daughter. Bunratty is great little town to base a trip around western Ireland from. Especially as first time travelers there no place could have been better to stay at than here.

A great stop while viewing the Bunratty Castle and Folk area. Joe, the innkeeper, is extremely engaging and helpful. Great breakfast. He ensured we had everything we need and provided great travel advice for the countryside. This is a great location close to Shannon airport as well. Very comfortable and great location.

Really friendly welcome. Allowed to put the motorbikes near the front door out of sight from the road. Really comfortable bed. Excellent Irish breakfast. Would stay again.

Hands down the best place to book in Bunratty.

Our stay at the Courtyard B & B in Bunratty was wonderful. Joe was an excellent host and breakfast was cooked to order and perfect. The rooms were clean and charming. The pictures didn’t do them justice. Location is very walkable for the Castle and dining options. Would definitely stay again.

This B&B was one of our favorite stays during our whole week in Ireland! I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Joe was an absolutely fantastic host. We arrived a little later than expected and he was very kind and inviting! The next morning he cooked us a lovely made to order breakfast (oats with cinnamon & honey and a pick and choose Irish breakfast). He was very hospitable and told us all about the property. There were three of us so we got the family room which is two adjoining rooms with 2 twins and one queen and two bathrooms. It was very spacious and we loved having separate rooms / bathrooms. It was also a very short walk to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park and Durty Nelly's, which are both also highly recommended. Overall we really really enjoyed our stay here. Absolutely nothing negative to say! If we ever find ourselves back in Bunratty, we would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent from arrival to leaving. Beautiful breakfast and good coffee.

Joe is the best host and the location is amazing.

Joe, the owner, is friendly, kind and focused on creating a positive experience for the guests. He goes above and beyond. The place is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. We enjoyed our stay for 5 nights and we would definitely go back. Thank you Joe!!!

Just perfect

Joe was a very welcoming host. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. While we didn't take advantage of the surroundings as we had an early plane to catch, The Courtyard is practically next to Bunratty Castle, a definite plus!

This place is beautiful inside and our host Joe was so friendly and knowledgeable.

Very clean and comfortable. Great location, walk to Bunratty Castle and village, JP Clarkes and Durty Nellies. Lovely breakfast. Close to Shannon Airport (12 minutes).
