Großes Zimmer mit ausreichend großem und sauberem Bad. Eigentlich waren es 2 Zimmer mit einer Schiebetür getrennt, sodass unser Sohn einen eigenen Raum hatte. Das Frühstück war super. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist sehr schön. Mit dem Bus direkt vor der Haustür kommt man sehr gut nach Stockholm. Ein Parkplatz steht direkt am Hotel zur Verfügung.

En fantastisk vistelse på Vår Gård i Saltsjöbaden! Vacker miljö, trevlig personal, god mat och en härligt avkopplande atmosfär. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

Det enda negativa var att det var lite dåligt skyltat till frukosten, vilket gjorde det svårt att hitta rätt. I övrigt var vi mycket nöjda med vistelsen!

Really nice employees and very good and compleet breakfast. We love the art, it's like a museum you discover all the time new pieces.

Beautiful spot, wonderful views, pretty breakfast room. The sauna was great with a lovely spot to hop in the water. Good lunch in the cafe.

The website is incredibly misleading. The website shows images of the original, beautiful old house in a way that suggests that that is where you will be staying. However none of the accommodation or facilities or breakfast are in this house. All the accommodation is provided in modern blocks spread over the site. They remind me of university halls of residence or travel lodges on motorways in the uk. The inside of the rooms are nice, the block we were in was recently refurbished and was done in a very tasteful way. The staff look very unhappy, no one really smiles, I wonder if they are overworked? When we asked at reception where the billiard table shown on the website was the girl said it was in the old house but she had to check if we could use it. She said we couldn’t after 8pm because there weren’t enough staff. When we asked if we could use kayaks she said we had to give 24 hours notice as the reception staff also had to get the kayaks out for guests. So I sense they were understaffed. I think this is a really great conference hotel, not a great place for a holiday. Had I come here on business I would have thought much more highly of it than as a tourist with my family.

The main hotel is beautifully decorated with lovely artwork etc. It is very easy to get into Stockholm with bus stop right next to hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a great pizza restaurant just round the corner which we’d very much recommend.

This hotel did not feel suitable at all for children. We didn’t realize this when we booked! There were numerous conference guests there and the communal spaces did not feel welcoming for families. The menu is very much aimed at adults and there was only one meal option for children in the downstairs restaurant (meatballs). No options aimed at kids at breakfast. There are various activities like lawn games, an outside gym and bikes for adults but no games at all for children. It’s a very nice hotel but really would just suit an adult stay. This is perhaps our error as saw the hotel recommended on a blog for travelling with kids. In the room there are no coffee or tea making facilities/ water and no beach towels to use at the little beach or sauna. This felt unusual in a 4 star hotel. The phone to reception also didn’t work. Please note - the little beach is very small so not really an activity, more somewhere to have a quick paddle.

The indoor climatw is not healthy; humid/mould.

It’s a multi-building hotel, some of which are beautiful, interesting, and grounds that are beautifully situated on the shore

A wedding and a conference took place during our stay, the hotel gets very busy and we did feel like we were spare parts around the edges during the gatherings. The food in the downstairs restaurant isn’t interesting and very limited.

​It was not a pleasant stay. Upon arrival, my key card didn't work, so I walked back to reception,less than two minutes away. Instead of offering a quick solution, the receptionist blamed me, claiming my phone demagnetized it. If a two-minute walk next to a phone wipes out a key card, the hotel's key quality is concerning. Sure enough, my key failed again on the third day. Fortunately, a different receptionist was much nicer, acknowledged that they experience this issue sometimes, and replaced it right away. ​On the second day, housekeeping opened my door without knocking while I was still in bed, even though I hadn't put out a "Make Up Room" sign. The housekeeper stared at me without apologizing, and when I asked her to come back later so I could get dressed, she refused and kept staring until I felt forced to say, "Maybe not today." After getting ready, I saw her cleaning the room next door, so I hung the "Make Up Room" sign on my handle before leaving. When I returned later, the sign had been flipped over to "Do Not Disturb," and my room was completely untouched. ​I may have just been unlucky with a few rude staff members, as most of the team was pleasant and the breakfast was nice. However, the service issues made for a frustrating stay.

le ponton sur la mer baltique et l'accès au sauna le buffet du soir de l'été (un peu cher néanmoins) et la vue sur la mer depuis la terrasse du restaurant

un mariage pendant deux jours sur place. Nous n'avons pas été averti lors du check-in et de fait nous n'avons pas pu accéder à certains équipements de l'hotel : espace jeu à l'ombre et chaises longues avec vue mer. aucune information, il a fallu que j'aille demander lorsque nous avons vu des tables et chaises installées dans le jardin. Vincafeet présenté comme un endroit où on peut manger un bout à tout moment de la journée : pénurie de sandwich et scones à 11h, et équipe totalement débordée sur les deux jours où tous les invités du mariage étaient sur place. Pas très agréable pour les "guests" standards de l'hotel.

I was in the first floor and the guests in the room above me had small children that ran back and forth.

The location right by the sea. The saunas and the opportunity to swim in the sea after using the steam room. Good-quality, delicious breakfasts.

There is black mold in the showers that is not being cleaned. The entrance doors and interior doors are also squeaky. They could easily be lubricated, which would make them wonderfully quiet.

Zes fantastische dagen op een bijzondere plek We hebben zes fantastische dagen doorgebracht bij Vår Gård in het prachtige Saltsjöbaden. Het is veel meer dan alleen een hotel. Juist dat maakt deze plek zo bijzonder. Het zeer uitgebreide ontbijt en het dinerbuffet zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit, met veel aandacht voor verse en goede producten. Als het weer het toelaat, kun je buiten ontbijten of dineren, midden in de rust en schoonheid van de omgeving. Wat daarnaast direct opvalt, is de gastvrijheid. Het team van Vår Gård is uiterst vriendelijk, attent en heel behulpzaam. Je voelt dat er oprecht aandacht is voor de gasten en dat draagt sterk bij aan de ontspannen sfeer van het verblijf. Het is absoluut de moeite waard om je te verdiepen in de rijke geschiedenis van Vår Gård. Wanneer je die kent, begrijp je veel beter waarom deze plek zo bijzonder is opgezet. Het is een unieke combinatie van hotel, retreat, kunstcollectie, congreslocatie, opleidingscentrum en een plek om simpelweg tot rust te komen. De ligging is werkelijk prachtig: direct aan het water, midden in het charmante Saltsjöbaden en vlak bij de gezellige haven. Tegelijkertijd ligt Stockholm op ongeveer 30 minuten reizen met de bus of trein. Een plek met historie, karakter, kwaliteit, gastvrijheid en vooral heel veel rust en ruimte. Fantastisch. Een plek waar je niet alleen verblijft, maar die je echt ervaart.

Ce n’était pas aussi calme que ne le suggérait les photos. L’hôtel organise des mariages, ce qui fait beaucoup d’allées et venues. La petite plage devant l’hôtel est publique donc accessible aux familles suédoises qui viennent en profiter le weeK-end, ce qui de fait réduit l’espace des tranquillité de ceux qui ont payé leur chambre d’hôtel. Coté restauration : buffet du soir hors de prix et le bistrot classique offrait un choix limité de plats le soir.

Locatie is prachtig. Ligging aan het meer en de wellness faciliteiten zijn heel goed. Alle algemene ruimtes waren heel mooi. Goed ontbijt op mooi terras.

Kamers erg klein en outdated. Past niet bij de sfeer van de rest van de locatie.

Tolle Lage, beeindruckendes Haus! Schön und ruhig gelegen. Ein Haus mit Geschichte und nach wie vor als Fortbildungshaus genutzt. Das stört als Hotelgast überhaupt nicht. Das Hotel ist geschmackvoll gestaltet und sehr sensibel renoviert.

First of all, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. The view over the water, especially early in the morning and in the evening, is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It is a wonderful place to sit by the water, swim, read, think, or simply slow down for a while. The hotel grounds are very spacious, and because the buildings are spread out, it never feels crowded like many other hotels do. Another thing that really impressed me was the WiFi coverage, probably the best I have ever experienced in a hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the information they provided was always accurate and useful. A surprisingly memorable detail was the shower: excellent water pressure and a generous amount of water. It may sound like a small thing, but anyone who travels frequently knows that this is definitely not something you can take for granted in hotels! The breakfast area is another real highlight. It is beautiful, and the view through the windows makes you feel as if you are having breakfast somewhere in a fairy tale.

We stayed during the peak summer holiday season, so the price was very high. For the price, our family room was really quite small. The hotel is a little far from the city centre. One thing that did affect the otherwise wonderful breakfast experience was the atmosphere coming from the kitchen staff. Some of the kitchen staff regularly passed through the buffet area and appeared to be under an enormous amount of pressure.

Lovely staff, thank ou Hedda, and housekeeper so kind. Incredible breakfast, great buffet dinner. Calm and pea eful, right on the water. Family atmosphere. Locals coming for lunch. The best soup I never ate in my life!

Wat een fantastische plek!! Het hotel had alles!! Sauna, groot en klein restaurant. Zwempier. Heel veel plekjes om lekker van de rust en het uitzicht te genieten. Zeer betaalbare eenpersoonskamers. (Ik ben solo reiziger) Goed bereikbaar met hef OV. Heerlijk ontbijtbuffet met veel gezonde opties. Hier kom ik zeker terug!

De kamer was net iets te klein, ik kon mijn spullen niet goed kwijt.

A place of wonder and joy to remember why you are in Sweden and why you are alive. In a quiet, gentle way, the experience of being here will slowly take over your senses. As ylu hear the magic of children laughing and playing, the scene of families enjoying their time together, or people just sitting, we remember that doing "nothing" is the best thing of all. Beautiful pure linens grace the beds, kinad housekeeper who broughtbextra pillows. The water coming from the shower and sink is so pure and clean, it feels like the gift that it is. The people working here are also contributing to the joy of being here. Beautiful smiles at the reception. Wonderful service in the restaurant also.

We have Booked in for 9 days. Beautiful location and great breakfast!! We called from Australia to request tea/coffee making in our room on arrival. Received 1 kettle, absolutely nothing else, no cups, coffee, sugar or milk. no bar fridge. No laundry facilities on the premises and no plug in our basin to wash underwear ect. We Reported our room telephone broken & shower adjustments not functioning properly, still awaiting service. Asked for our room to be cleaned while out in the mornings, into our 3rd day now and cleaners still come in about 16.00 (pm) without even knocking.. Reception staff take our requests but nothing happens. Guess we can manage. Maybe one should only stay here for one or two nights.

Hade en väldigt trevlig vistelse på hotellet. Allt var mycket välstädat och fräscht. Bra frukost, och sommargrillen var suppergott!

Sängen var lite för mjuk för min smak, men annars var allt toppen.

Die ganze Anlage hat einen besonderen Charme. Viele nette Ecken und Orte draußen, an denen man sich entspannen kann, selbst eine kleine Halbinsel zum Klettern oder Spazieren gehört zum Gelände. Das leckere Frühstück mit herrlichem Ausblick und das Bistro mit einfachen, aber sehr guten Gerichten tragen auch zum Wohlbefinden bei. Saltsjöbaden ist ein wunderschöner Vorort von Stockholm mit alten Villen und besonderem Flair. Das Linienschiff legt in Hotelnähe ab und ein halbstündlich abfahrender Bus nach Stockholm fährt gleich neben dem kostenfreien Hotelparkplatz ab. Wir wollen wiederkommen!

Desværre blev badeværelsesgulvet helt vådt efter et bad. Manglende hældning. Hoveddøren til huset smækkede så det rystede på værelset, selvom der var pumpe på. Det er sagt videre.

Großzügige Anlage mit verschiedenen Häusern. Ruhig gelegen. Direkt am Wasser - mit Bade- und Sonnenmöglichkeiten sowie kleiner Parkanlage. Beachbar. Sauna und Gym. Mehrere Restaurants und Vincafe - uam. Gut mit Bus und Bahn erreichbar. Sehr freundliches Personal. Mehr als reichliches und vielfältiges Frühstücks-Buffett.  Ausreichend Sitzplätze drinnen und draußen (Terrasse). Absolute Empfehlung!

Vår Gård is a gem in Saltsjöbaden. The hotel perfectly blends historic with modern, stylish design, and the seaside location is stunning, peaceful and refreshing. ​The breakfast is excellent with high-quality, fresh ingredients and a great variety. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

The only minor downside was that the bathroom ventilation was a bit weak, making it difficult for towels to dry properly.

Beeindruckende Lage, tolles Areal, schöne Anlage und teils sehr schön gemachte Bereiche. Ebenfalls positiv ist das Personal an der Rezeption und im Housekeeping zu nennen!

Leider war das Frühstück, besonders am Wochenende erschreckend, teilweise war sehr deutlich zu erkennen, dass das Team mit der Anzahl an Gästen überfordert war (das Buffet auffüllen war teilweise so langsam, dass über 1 Stunde hin keine kaltgetränke oder Milch aufgefüllt wurden), zudem war es an jedem Tag so, dass manche Mitarbeiter weder gegrüßt haben, noch auf Begrüßung meinerseits reagiert haben. Vielleicht ist das aber auch landesspezifisch.wichtiger Zusatz, an dem Wochenende war eine Hochzeit im Haus. Das Haus hat sehr viel Potenzial, aber zumindest während meiner 6 Tage Aufenthalt wurde dies nur in Teilen sichtbar, schade! Nur ein bisschen mehr Fokus auf den Gast und vieles würde nicht ins Gewicht fallen, so bleibt ein getrübtes Bild
