Baan Wanglang Riverside, Bangkok

Amazing hotel right on the river in the heart of one of Bangkok’s most foodie neighbourhoods. Comfortable rooms, rooftop bar and the loveliest staff (special shout-out to Nisa). I was also taken aback by the thoughtful souvenir the staff prepared for me as a way to remember them!

It can be a little hard to find. The road’s closed to taxis but the staff were always kind enough to drop me off on a main road if I was being picked up by a taxi

Gut gelegen direkt am Markt und am Fluss. Wahnsinnig freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Lage ist zu empfehlen, wenn man die Tempel usw. sehen und eine Bootstour durch die Kanäle machen möchte.

La posizione fantastica , ben collegata in quartiere estremamente local , dietro l’hotel si è immersi nel mercato in cui puoi trovare ogni cosa , il rooftop sopra l’hotel è molto molto carino, il personale soprattutto l’accoglienza dei giovani ragazzi dello staff è eccezionale

L’unica cosa che trovo scomoda da fumatrice è il dover andare ogni volta nella terrazza per fumare nonostante la mia camera avesse il balcone

We had the riverside view room, which was fabulous. A wonderful view from the balcony, we spent many hours sat looking at the river boats. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and very clean. The location is perfect. Close to the pier, which helped getting around. With the hotel next to the large daily food market, there are numerous eating options at great prices, this was really convenient.

De locatie en de ontvangst door geweldig personeel. Met name Nisa bij de receptie en Coke hebben ons verblijf nog leuker gemaakt.

L'emplacement, l'accueil et la serviabilité du personnel. Ils sont tous adorables et s'ils peuvent vous aider ils le feront. C'est franchement très appréciable.

Not a deal breaker but it does take a little effort to reach the hotel.. Fortunately the hotel supplies golf carts to ferry guests to and from the nearest car access locations.

Die Lage direkt am Fluss ist toll. Abends hat man von der Rooftop-Bar einen tollen Blick über Bangkok. Man ist in 3 Minuten zu Fuß beim Pier und kann ein Boot zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt nehmen, der Königspalast ist z.B. direkt auf der gegenüberliegenden Flussseite. Das Hotel liegt direkt in einem authentischen Markt, wo es nur wenige Touristen gibt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt!

Great location in WangLang market (though difficult to reach by car during the day)and right on the river. Handy for the Hop on Hop off boat stop to visit the main sights along the river. Friendly helpful staff.

Schöne Lage direkt am Fluss. Man kann sehr schön auf den Terrassen sitzen bei tollem Blick. Bootsanleger direkt nebenan. Im Gegensatz zu dem, was andere Bewertungen geschrieben haben, konnte uns ein Grab/Taxi immer direkt vor dem Hotel abliefern.

Es gab wegen Renovierungsarbeiten keine Frühstücksmöglichkeiten am Hotel selbst. Das Zimmer war eher klein und einfach.

Fantastic location

Proximity to the river and water taxis - made it easy to explore the city by boat. The hotel is in a market district so lots of opportunities for shopping and eating on the doorstep. Beautiful views of the river and city by night. Walking distance Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was a little small but that's all.

Personnel très accueillant et gentil. Belle atmosphère. Nous avons adoré l'emplacement sur le fleuve Chao Phraya et avons particulièrement apprécié la vue depuis le rooftop bar de l'hôtel sur le Wat Arun et le Grand Palais illuminés le soir : un merveilleux souvenir ! Juste à côté de l'hôtel, une petite ruelle très typique, animée par un marché et de nombreux stands de street food, offre une immersion dans le quotidien des Thaïlandais. L'emplacement est également idéal pour une balade en long-tail boat dans les khlongs, ces petits canaux typiques bordés de maisons sur pilotis qui révèlent une autre facette de Bangkok. Les bateaux partent de Wang Lang Pier, situé juste à côté de l'hôtel.

Heerlijk hotel op een super locatie. Buiten het toeristische gedeelte, in het lokale WangLang market gebied, waar je veel authentieke restaurantjes hebt en naar hartelust streetfood kan uitproberen. Mooie kamers, super schoon en zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Lekkere smoothies en koffie bij café N10 en een rooftop bar (342 bar) met een waanzinnig uitzicht over de Chao Phraya en de oude stad. Vlakbij Prannok of WangLang pier, ideaal voor transport met de ferry. Wij verbleven met een familie van vier in een tweepersoonskamer en een Riverside kamer met balkon.

The location was perfect! Right in the heart of a local market, but still secluded enough. Riverside views were phenomenal. Staff were so warm and friendly.

Location is incredible inside the wang lang market. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great views particularly at night and great if balcony as can relax with a cold drink.

Can be difficult to reach via taxi / grab as they can’t get down the narrow alleys that lead to the hotel. Can be overcome with short walk but need to be aware. Some noise from river cruises/live music but this does stop at a reasonable hour may need ear plugs if light sleeper.

Bel établissement dans un quartier authentique. Le personnel de l’hôtel est très accueillant et disponible. La vue sur le fleuve est magnifique, notamment le soir. En journée , le marché typique est au pied de l’hôtel Proximité de l’embarcadère pour se déplacer en bateau vers différents sites Très belle vue le soir du bar en rooftop et du restaurant

The staff are very helpful and polite. They make your stay very comfortable. The rooms are very well set up and the restaurants and bar are gorgeous.

Everything! Great stay as always - i have returned many times already and will do so again.

Location. Walking Market. Room (Villa) was fabulous with a riverside view of sunrise & sunset on the Chao Phraya River. All staff were accommodating and helpful. Two standouts were Moana and Ali’s. Food in restaurant was outstanding. Bar patio after 4 had good energy but not too loud.

Die Lage des Hotel in der Nähe vom Prannok Pier ist ideal um von dort die Stadt zu entdecken. Das Hotel ist klein, familiär und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten die panorama suite und die war ihr Geld zu 100% wert. Für uns ist dieses Hotel eine 100 Prozent Empfehlung.

Hilfsbereites Personal, Lage am Fluss war perfekt- man kann sofort in die Fähren einsteigen. Toproofbar hat einen traumhaft Ausblick, ist aber teuer. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Nice river location in a quieter area of Bangkok. The cafe/bar is a popular spot and there's an authentic market right outside. Great view from the room.

The bathroom was quite small and stuffy so easily became musty and the room wasn't cleaned during the stay. The price is expensive for the quality of the room in Bangkok.

The hotel in thsi area of Bangkok city gives a real authentic taste of the city, situated in the heart of a local market. Easy access to the river boats and to all the main tourist areas in Bangkok. We had a large corner suite room which gave extra space for the duration of our stay. There are tea and coffee making facilities, and small fridge. Aircon is great. The restaurant provides a breakfast for B300 which was good value for money and we ate there on 2 evenings. Again food we'll priced and very tasty. Roof bar give great views over the city of night and drinks are accordingly...still cheaper than uk.

The smell in the bathroom, but it was intermittent and did not come into main room.

No onsite breakfast at present. Onsite cafe opens at 9am, but good options close by open at 7am. The music was noticeable one evening, but otherwise, no problem. Stayed in the panorama room, which was directly below the top-floor bar, so it was kind of expected.

The room was clean and tidy as expected. All the staff were exceptional & can't rate them highly enough. The restaurants were very good & the Rooftop Bar was a great place to unwind after a long hot day. Definitely will be returning to this hotel.

The staff were very friendly ☺️ especially Cokey and Tos. The location is perfect with easy access to the river ferry which will bring you close to the Grand Palace, Koshan road. It was lovely to sit outside and watch the boats on the river. We loved the stalls outside the hotel also. Great value for money.

This property is in an EXCELLENT location, especially if you’re foodies and love trying local food. It’s right in the centre of wang lang market and at the side of the Chao Phraya river. The rooms were equipped with everything you needed and the beds were really comfy. The staff were great, they always greeted you with a smile and were really helpful, even helping one of our party get his wallet back after it fell out of his bag in a taxi. One thing to remember is that you are not close to any BTS or MRT stations here but the pier for the water taxis is only a 5 minute walk through the market. We also used Grab and Bolt for rides into the city centre and they were usually only in the region of 100thb 100% recommend this hotel and can’t wait for our next visit. Well I was dropped off by the taxi from the airport not exactly at the hotel. However, as I was looking lost, a young lady asked if I needed help? It turned out she was a member of the staff of the hotel and she promptly accompanied me to the reception. What a shame I missed her name. Thank u young lady! If u read this. Alice n team were always there to help guests.

Near the river, pier and market.

Sometimes the taxi can’t talk you all the way to the front of the hotel. The lobby AC is off during morning hours. It’s already hot outside and inside. Your mostly to sweat if your trying to check in the morning. The AC inside our room was not cold enough. It got warm at night. Not comfortable.

The staff were really friendly and hospitable, and having a cafe and a rooftop bar at the hotel was very convenient. It's also close to a ferry terminal.

The location wasn't great. You have to go through a market to get to the hotel, which was tough with bags. If you wanted to get somewhere quickly, you have to walk through the market to order a taxi/Grab to pick you up. Also, there weren't many restaurants or bars nearby, unless you wanted to go to the market, which wasn't what I was looking for.

Die Lage ist wirklich top. Auf der einen Seite der Chao Phraya und auf der anderen Seite gleich vor der Tür des Hotels der authentische und einheimische Wang Lang Markt. Als Ausgangsort für Erkundungen ist die Lage am Fluss auch top. Mit den Express booten kommt man staufrei schnell herum.

Frühstück war ok, aber nicht besonders.

La atención del personal es excepcional!! 10/10. El restaurante que tienen a orillas del Rio, en la noche vale mucho la pena!

Es un poco complicado el acceso. En nuestro caso tocó un Grab que dio muchas vueltas para llegar. La unica ayuda fue el personal del hotel quienes nos ubicaron y nos ayudaron con las maletas. En relación a la habitación, es muy muy pequeña, el baño y la ducha estan diseñados para personas de baja estatura, es absurdamente pequeño. Creo que el hotel es costoso para el tamaño de las habitaciones. Hay otros con mejor precio y mas comodidad. No es un hotel al que volvería.

Schöne und ruhige Lage direkt am Fluss mit toller Aussicht auf die Skyline von Bangkok. Die Atmosphäre war entspannt und ideal, um nach einem langen Tag herunterzukommen. Alles war sauber und insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Es gab nichts Größeres zu bemängeln. Insgesamt war alles in Ordnung.

Everyone was very gracious, welcoming and helpful. The view from our fourth floor riverside balcony was wonderful. The restaurants are quite good and reasonably priced with great service.

We would have appreciated if breakfast was included in the room price. The bar on the top floor, while having a great view, was rather expensive.

地下鉄の駅は遠く、タクシーも橋を回るため不便。ボートを使うしかなく、それは便利なのだが、７時以降にはボートの数が減り、９時には無くなってしまう。 夜には陸の孤島となる。

Excellent location along the river and surrounded by endless alleyways of food, vendors, shops, and convenience stores. The rooms are simple, but clean and well kept the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome there the last night we stayed in the panoramic suite overlooking the river, and it was awesome.

Beliggenheden var elendig. Man boede på den forkerte side af vandet et meget lokalt sted, hvor man følte sig meget fremmed

La posizione sul fiume, un po' fuori dalle zone turistiche, immerso nel mercato di Wanglang. Lo staff davvero gentilissimo. La camera molto spaziosa, con un bel balconcino e una vista magnifica. Molto bello il bar rooftop.

Il ber ristorante con tavoli sul fiume non è prenotabile se non a gruppi di almeno 10 persone, sarebbe carino che gli ospiti del hotel potessero comunque prenotare.
