Die schöne Lage mit viel Natur.

Das Zimmer ist sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr lecker. Es wäre schön, wenn im Badezimmer vielleicht an ältere Menschen gedacht wird. Die Badewanne wird als Dusche genutzt - doch wie man in die Badewanne kommt - mit Haltegriffe ginge es besser. Die beste Lösung wäre eine barrierefrei Dusche. Für mich war das Bett zu hart, doch dies ist mein Gefühl. Manch einer mag es so hart. Vielleicht hätte ich mich nach ein paar Tagen daran gewöhnt 🤔

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer sind grosszügig bemessen und das Frühstück war gut. Von der nahegelegenen Bahnlinie und der Strasse hörten wir erstaunlich wenig.

Ruime kamer met terras waar het gezellig zitten is. Lekker ontbijt waar alles voldoene aanwezig was! Zeer rustig zelfs met treinspoor dat er vlakbij ligt. Zeer vriendelijke uitbaters. Je kan vanuit de B&B mooie wandelingen maken.

Great place to stay near Bruxelles, the owners of the hotel were so kind with us, the breakfast was really good and the location was amazing, a little far from Bruxelles City Center but so well-connected by train and perfect to rest well without hearing any noise during the night. Very recommended.

A calm place away from Brussels, easy to reach by train, great for cycling as the forest around is very beautiful and there's a lot of cycling paths. Good breakfast as well

The apartment was huge and clean, the bathrooms spacious. The receptionist and caretaker, was wonderful to us. The trail around the B&B was scenic and pretty.

In the summer, this apartment is not ideal. With one cooler in the room, the whole place was cooked up. It was so hot that neither of us could sleep on the beds even. The mattress, the pillows felt like oven. Even in the morning (after a whole night of restlessness) the whole place was super hot and stifling. Since there are no eateries nor stores nearby, its a place that charges high for transportation (minus the metro station nearby).

We werden goed ontvangen. De matrassen en kussens waren goed stevig. Het onbijt was zeer goed. De ligging biedt tal van mogelijkheden om te wandelen en te fietsen. De kamer en badkamer was zeer ruim. De onbijtruimte was gezellig om te zitten. Er was mogelijkheid om koffie en thee te zetten op de kamer.

De kamers was ietsje donker waardoor je met het licht aan moest zitten maar in een b&b ben je dan ook niet lang op je kamer.

De ligging aan het zoniënwoud was ideaal. In de ontbijtruimte kon je 's avonds nog iets nemen uit het uitgebreid assortiment drinken en fijne gezelschapsspelletjes spelen.

Het ontbijt is beperkt. Verse broodjes zouden welkom geweest zijn.

Das Frühstück war überschaubar. Etwas mehr Auswahl wäre nett gewesen.

Ideale ligging wie de groene gordel wil stappen! We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen! Niet tegenstaande de b&b niet ver van de ‘ring rond Brussel’ en nabij het treinspoor is gelegen, was het toch zeer rustig!!! Ontbijt was zeer lekker en copieus!!

Clean, tidy and quiet location. Room was comfortable, well equipped and easy to access. Additional facilities were available (snacks and beverages available on a ‘honesty’ basis.

Mooi ingerichte kamer in de vroegere paardenstallen en een terras met zicht op het groene Zoniënwoud. Sympathieke ontvangst, trouwens en een uitgebreid ontbijt.

The hosts were very friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast. It is a well kept property in a truly scenic location!

Un agréable B&B situé en pleine nature, tout en restant très facile d’accès. Le concept est original et charmant : notre chambre, aménagée dans un ancien box de l’écurie, était spacieuse, lumineuse, joliment décorée et très confortable. Le petit-déjeuner, simple, était néanmoins très bon.

Ambiance en omgeving

Chambre spacieuse avec un jardin. L’ensemble est très calme. Les hôtes sont disponibles et très sympathiques ☺️ Super petit déjeuner .

Excellent location near the Brussels East ring in the Zonienwoud/Foret de soignes and railway station. To my happy surprise, there was no noise from highway or railway (renewed sound barriers?). Easy parking. Friendly reception, spacy room with bathtub (our wish could be realized). Lobby with books and self service "honesty" bar well stocked with regional belgian beers. Excellent breakfast. Explanations of the things to visit in the grape growing area of Hoeilaart and in the Forest.

I would have like to stay a little longer, to discover the surrounding area. I hope to have the chance to come back and to enjoy a similar quality of reception!

Ideale locatie voor wandelingen. Vriendelijk onthaal en personeel.

Weinig sfeer en gezelligheid. Ook de kamer voelde wat koud aan, omwille van het weer konden we ook niet buiten zitten. We zagen een hot tub en sauna maar die werkten jammer genoeg niet.

The location is what prompted me to book at Hippo-droom. Out in nature and surrounded by forests and lakes but still within a short distance from the airport. I was looking for R&R time to de-stress and find peace of mind. Hippo-droom did not disappoint. The walks in the Sonien forest and surrounding area proved cathartic and invigorating. Had I stayed longer than 5 days, I would have hired a bicycle for broader exploration. The villages in the environs were cute and friendly. There is a museum right by Hippo-droom and worth exploring. The rooms are large, clean and welcoming, with your own patio. The breakfasts were delicious and satisfying. Davy and Ilse were fabulous hosts - so accomodating and gregarious. They went out of their way to help me and to make my stay extra-pleasant. I shall definitely return there if I am ever in Belgium again.

I wasn't expecting to hear the trains at night, but after the second night I didn't even hear them anymore.

Very nice small b&b in the Sonian forest. Great place for walks in nature and to escape the city but also in proximity of the city. Lovely breakfast with fresh bread and pastries and the owners are also nice.

Mooie locatie bosrijk, ff na de drukte tot rust komen. Kamers zijn schoon en vriendelijke eigenaren.

feedback die ik wil geven: is dat als je langer dan 1 dag verblijft dat er wel wat meer variatie in het ontbijt mag zijn.

Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen die ons hielpen met leuke route uit te stippelen en onze hond terug te vinden. We komen zeker terug! Leuke spelletjes waren zeker goede bonus. En thee en koffie/ijskast op de kamer.

De locatie, prachtig gelegen met een geweldig groot Arboretum op 2 min.lopen met een grote afgezette honden uitloop, waar onze honden dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Honden mochten mee in de ontbijt ruimte, maar ook buiten was er een mooi terras waar we met mooi weer ook gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Ontbijt prima en we konden ook zelf nog drankjes halen later op de avond. Hele aardige vriendelijke mensen.

We hadden een mooie ruime junior suite, was alleen vrij donker, maar werd weer totaal goed gemaakt door de grote tuin achter , die we deze keer helemaal voor ons zelf hadden , maar eventueel ook met 4 kamers hadden kunnen delen......

L'emplacement pas très loin de Bruxelles. L'hôtel se trouve en bordure de forêt, cadre sympa. Petit déjeuner buffet varié.

Chambre réservée pour 3 adultes. Il est indiqué 2 canapés lits et 1 lit double (donc 1 lit chacun parfait). A l'arrivée il n'y a qu'un seul canapé lit et 1 lit double. Nous le signalons au propriétaire, pour lui c'est normal dans ces chambres là il n'y a que 4 couchages. Même en lui montrant l'annonce où c'est écrit noir sur blanc, pour lui il n'y a pas de soucis, à la limite de nous prendre pour des idiots ("vous voyez bien la taille de la chambre, je ne peux pas y mettre 3 lits!). Nous lui conseillons de changer l'annonce, clairement il s'en moque (je trouve après coup des commentaires de plus de 1 an avec le même problème donc l'annonce n'a pas été changée!). Chambre sombre et mal isolée (on entend les voisins et le train passe à côté). Le lit double est confortable par contre le canapé lit une catastrophe (mauvaise nuit assuré). En bref au vu du prix élevé, de la qualité de la chambre et de l'amabilité du proprio (pas du tout arrengeant, ne prend même pas la peine de nous demander si tout s'est bien passé car je pense qu'il s'en moque), passez votre chemin.

Bien placé à côté du Ring. Bâtiment avec un certain charme. Petit déjeuné compris et OK.

On avait réservé une chambre familiale avec 2 grand lit et 2 canapés lits. Confirmé par Booking. On n’a eu qu’un grand canapé lit pour 2 personnes. Impossible de prendre un bain, la bond ne fonctionnait pas et était hors service. Chambre sombre à cause des petites fenêtres.

De gastheer en gastvrouw waren super super vriendelijk en aangenaam.

We hadden pech dat wij er in de hittegolf verbleven.

Friendly welcome with free upgrade. Room was perfect, comfortable and clean. Our hosts were extremely helpful ehen asked about the local area. Only improvement would be a better variety of breakfast options.

‘Erg goed ontbijt’ werd gezegd… het was degelijk maar keuze was niet zo uitgebreid, fruitsap niet vers geperst en enkel gekookte eitjes. €160 is toch best prijzig
