The location is good as it is located just before the bridge to Mount Saint Michel and the amenities are basic. No minibar fridge and no safe. Stayed for a night so it was OK. And no lift.
Hotel was basic, had hot water, clean room and bathroom. Unfortunately, no WiFi or coffeemaker, and noticed no elevator (didn’t need one personally, but others might). The biggest positive was location, in front of a free shuttle that gets you a few minutes from Le Mont St Michel, although you could walk 30 minutes and get there. We arrived by train in Pontorson train station, which is far from the hotel, and had to take an Uber, 28 euro. An alternative is a local bus (line 2 - 4,30 euro) that runs roughly every hour but since we arrived at a later time it wasn’t running anymore on that day. Overall, we used the hotel for resting and showering only, serviceable, no luxuries.
So close to Mont St Michele island.
Front staff not interested in helping their clients. Reffered to tourist information instead of helping
Great location for visiting Mt St Mochel
Definitely a 2 star hotel , very convenient to stay close to Mt st Michel , properly conditions are very basic , old and lack of maintenance, for what you’re paying you can do better.
Great location for camping, dining convenience, excellent customer service. Did not like that there was not enough in the room, like a coffee machine.
Breakfast was good, the bed comfortable and the room clean
The hotel is nicely located inside the village (mostly hotels and restaurants) and you can walk out to the island from here and have a spectacular view. The room was ok but no AC so got really hot, and when we opened the window there was som ac nearby being very noisy. The Wi-Fi was close to non existing even when you logged in. The breakfast buffet was ok for the price.
Carpets are pretty soiled, room rate is expensive for what you get
The hotel was clean and water was hot. The hotel does not have AC but was lucky to have a cool night with window open. Room was rustic. It was nice to have the shuttle to Mont St Miche right outside the hotel.
Good location for visiting le Mont St Michel. Clean and convenient
Basic but clean and comfortable hotel
It could have been bad luck, but we were in the middle of a heatwave, i am pretty sure my filters were set to hotels with air conditioning, the hotel does not have air conditioning, our room was facing west and sunset was at 10:00 pm. We could not be in the room. There were insects all over the beds, bathroom, toilet paper, towels. It was explained to us the bugs were due to the weather and that they did not stung but we couldn’t take it. We enjoyed the location, the parking, the transportation to Mont Saint Michel, we watched the beautiful sunset and then we left.
Very close to MSM. The free shuttle to MSM was in front of the hotel.
the property is old and no AC which i expected. it is acceptable since it is a 2 stars hotel. but its not really cheap price. anyway, the worsts is a rude older lady in the reception. we want to ask her something, and want to shows the phone screen to her with a proper translation, but she just ignore us and saying no rudely. and her attitude is just the same when we checked in. she told me room is not ready when it was 4pm, then i just reply her and want to ask but the booking confirmation said we can check in at 4pm? i just ask 1 time normally, she turn rude immediately.
Good basic space with no frills; surprised that they had no elevator in a new building. Problems with wifi which the staff were unable to solve - however, other than that, they were most helpful and welcoming.
Perfect location for visiting Mont St Michel with the shuttle bus stopping right in front of hotel. Alternately you can enjoy the walk, approx 30 min with lovely views. Family of four, stayed in a quadruple room which was very spacious and clean. Great water pressure in shower. Surroundings are peaceful and quiet, just sounds of birds so we slept wonderfully. The breakfast is an excellent value and I’d highly recommend it. I’d stay here again if we come back for another visit
The older woman at reception was very rude and unhelpful, especially if you don’t speak French. Hotel is outdated, no elevator, and Wi-Fi barely works. Booking apps say check-in is from 16:00, but we couldn’t check in until 17:00 because we didn’t pay the extra €15. Not worth it, better options in the same price range.
Super convenient to come back and forth from beautiful Le Mont Saint Michel :)
The property is very clean. The staffs very friendly and helpful. It is a very peaceful area and you can walk around safe and beautiful. But the restaurants around there were all closed at 9pm and we had hard time to find place to eat dinner. Also the hotel forgot to send the code to us for the gate to the area and we struggled for quite of a long time to enter the gate to the hotel.
Best for locals camping.
Check-in/check-out was easy and quick, and the receptionists were helpful and courteous every time. The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. Parking did cost us 10 euro a night, but the convenience of being very close to the shuttle stop to Mont Saint-Michel and restaurants made it okay. We would definitely stay here again!!
We had a great experience at this hotel. The location is perfect—just a short and convenient trip to Mont-Saint-Michel, making it an excellent base for visiting the island. The room was very clean and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and quiet—ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and easy access to this iconic destination.
Hotel Vert is conveniently located in the are right across MSM. Very easy to pick up the shuttle as stop is right in front of the hotel. Easy access to MSM at any time of day and night. Early morning / late afternoon or evening is best to see MSM due to crowds midday.
Great hotel to stay during your visit to Mont St.Michelle. Room was clean and breakfast was good. One issue with that area - the bars close around 10pm so you better stock up on beer prior to.
Great location, super friendly staff, excellent bike storage facilities
Very close to Saint Mont Michel, easy parking, had restaurants around the hotel.
Very good.
Hotel is in a gated section where many hotels are located with direct walking and shuttle access to Mont St Michel. You have to pay for the parking (but anyone who visits Mont St Michel has to pay for parking). A simple and very clean yet dated/worn hotel with basic amenities. Staff are warm and friendly. I slept great and was able to walk to the bridge that accesses Mont St Michel (about 30 minutes to the island itself). There are many dining options within a few minutes walk.
Clean and tidy great staff
Everything about this hotel was excellent ! The staff were very nice (Merci, Monsieur, for giving me the compliment about my français ;), the room was clean (I really appreciated the bathtub !), and right next to the stop of the free shuttle ! Oh , and the restaurant, Le Salicorne was pretty good too ! Merci pour tout
Lovely hotel, very clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to get to, lots of parking, and only a few minutes walk from the causeway bridge. Not sure what all the cows are about.... But I would definitely reccomend this hotel.
The only fall back is that you have to climb stairs to the rooms above. The breakfast, bed, room and staff were all wonderful and the location could not be better :-)
Awesome property. Highly recommend for those traveling with kids
Absolutely nothing wrong with this place but nothing spectacular either. The location is great. The rooms are good, clean and decently sized. The hotel is a little dated but not bad. Bathroom was nice. I almost had a nice view of Mont St Michel from window but there were trees blocking the view. So close!
It's close to Mont Saint-Michel and restaurants. Thr property is clean. Staff are nice and friendly.
This hotel offers you...a bed and four walls, maybe a celling. Dirty rugs and left-over black hair on the bathroomwalls no extra charge! Its filthy to say the least and even the slighest service like some type of in-room/lobby coffee will be laughed upon when asking about it(No, Im serious, the recception lady just laughed straight in my face a minute ago when I politely asked if there was any chance I could get a mug of black coffee). Furthermore, since the hotell itself is within a vehicle restricted area you need to get in and out of a gate whenever you wish to leave the premises(and you WILL have to do that since there is litteraly noghting inside the gates in the off-season). And doing this is the most complicated thing you will ever encounter. Plus, they actually charge you 10 euros a night. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotell and instead stay in a closeby village and do daytrip out to MSM.
.
Small and old hotel but clean and comfortable.
We were sold to another hotel just days before our arrival.
Super
Its ok, room for improvement though, wasn't worth the money we paid, but your paying for the location and not the comfort you desire. Bathrooms are small and doesn't cater for disabled guests. Could have done with a vending machine in the lobby. Breakfast was continental and had a verity to choose from which was good
Needs upgrade specially rugs. Breakfast needs more variety.
Not as the photos portray, outside looks good , inside is just awful from the carpet all the way through. I don’t think it’s been cleaned since the day it was laid. The check in was horrible, the person was unpleasant and gave us no information re going in and out of the boom gate. Very sour look on her face through the whole time. This lead to constant issues, as we had to go out constantly for my husband to organise the parachute jump for St. Michael’s Day and was told they’re not responsible, go to the tourist office. Couldn’t care less about our frustrations and the system was in place for over two years, but they don’t know !!!???? Shocking internet connection, mine intermittent and my husband has none at all for over two days. Another thing they didn’t care less about. Too expensive for what it is
Check in was pitiful, staff next to no english, poor attitude - if they don't like their job maybe look for another, ZERO information given on check in and had problems with driving through the gate constantly, asked the staff and they didn't know anything about it apparently despite it being in place for over 2 years, told us to go to tourist information, carpets were filthy and have probably not been cleaned since it was built. No internet for 2 days.
Our room was very basic (bed, small bathroom, small armoire) but the room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful and it was in a great location for visiting Mont Saint Michel. I recommend it!
Clean. Excellent English speaking staff. Definitely would stay there again.
Very clean and spacious. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was good and included everything possible. Easy to walk to mont st-michel from there.
Nice staff and really helpful
Hôtel Vert offered a budget friendly and welcoming stay very close to Mont Saint Michel. I fully recommend this hotel.
Receptionist needs to learn how to smile. Very unfriendly welcome, & just seems interested in making bookings. Maybe she needs to take a course in hospitality. I have been travelling all over Normandy, & have had excellent hospitality & service. Given this is my last stop before I return home it is a bit off an anticlimax.
This is a hotel located on the main drag from the famous Mont St. Michel. Location is key. However, this is an old property, but clean, multilevels with no elevator. We had 4 different beds in our large room. Seems like a backpack lodging since all the rooms had several beds in each. The included breakfast was downstairs and provided a good start to the day of travel ahead. Just an average experience next to an iconic world heritage site.
Perfect
Our room wasn’t ready until after 5pm and they wanted us to checkout at 11am.
Great location, super friendly staff, would have been nicer with some softer beds. But- location and cleanliness and friendliness win over
The hotel is very close to Mt. St. Michel but it is older and the rooms are very small. The shower had great water pressure and everything was clean. I appreciate a coffee maker in the room but this was missing.
One of a handful of hotels that are past a gated area on the way to Mont St. Michel. Incredibly convenient location, easy parking and the stop for the shuttle is right in front of the hotel.
Great location and big rooms.
Very good staff and attention. All the basics and very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Hotel Vert provided our family of 4 a good stay during our trip to Mont St Michel. Ample room, good breakfast and convenient to our visit. The only drawback was not having access to an elevator when our room was on the top floor. There’s also no air conditioning but the evening temperatures were comfortable to sleep in with the window ajar. It was quiet.
The room for 4 was space and very clean. Small bathroom. Plugs are not by the bed for charging phones at night or plugging in medical equipment. The room was great over all. Breakfast was as skimpy for the 9 euros. Ok so we were arriving when the Olympic torch came by and the Minister of France was in immediate area, so there was a lot of police and closed roads. Management please send us a message of how and where to park when you have this type of event. We drove around from one parking lot to another in circle being told by the police and parking attendants that we were to go to another lot. But could not get there. So we had to drag our bags over a Kilometer on dirt paths through the checkpoints and crowds to the hotel. I asked if the hotel has a parking lot closer the desk clerk points out side the front door. And then tells me I will have to pay to get out of the lot I was parked in. At the end of the night after all of the crowds leave any the police are gone, I ask the front desk (an new night attendant) if I can move my car to the front of the hotel as there is a half open lot there. Yes I can here is the code to get out of the lot I am in and into the lot in front of the building. “Will it cost anything to park in front of the hotel?” I asked. “No!” He said. So I trekked back over to the parking lot after midnight and moved the car closer. Next morning trying to leave the lot and the parking attendant is charging me 10 euros for the night. I tell home the code and he says that is just to get into the lot that it is 10 euros a day and do I want to pay by Visa or Master card. I was so mad that the desk clerk LIED TO ME. Yes I paid to get out and the hotel did not answer the phone when I tried to call and complain.
the location is great, shuttle bus stop right in front of the hotel, very convenience. clean simple hotel serves the purpose. Breakfast cost 9.50 euro. we took bus from Rennes , the hotel is withing short walking distance.
Good breakfast
Comfortable stay at an ideal location close to Mont St Michelle, with the shuttle stopping right outside. Staff was very friendly at check in. We had a triple room. Beds were a bit firm, but overall fine. Was a good size for the three of us. Room did get a bit stuffy, so I imagine it may be a bit hot in summer. We also found the tub slippery and similar to other reviews we saw think the tub would benefit from a non-slip mat to ensure safety if guests.
Nice clean property VERY close to the attractions and shuttle service
Staff was not very helpful or friendly!
The property was very conveniently located. The staff were fantastic and helpful. We could easily walk to mont st michel, and the free bus to the abby left from in front of the hotel. My only complaint was that there was no outlet near the bed, i have a cpap and had to sleep in the twin bed next to the desk that had the only outlet in the room while my husband and child slept in the double. There were also guest laughing loudly for more than 10 mins in the hallway past 11pm. The kept my child awake. I know its not the hotel's fault, however, it seemed that no one came to stop the racket.
Close to the touristy areas, it is great. Transportation is also readily available.
This is a fantastic hotel to stay in if you are visiting Le Mont Saint Michele. They will send you a code to get in through the gates that give you access to the hotel. We got two rooms with 3 beds in each and they were across from each other and both very clean with plenty of space. We paid for the breakfast in the morning and it was well worth it to have it right downstairs. There was baguettes with jam/butter/nutella, croissants, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheese, meat, drink options included juices and hot drinks- everything was fresh and well maintained. There is a restaurant right across the street we went to for dinner that had good choices, which is great because there are not many options around the area. The trolly which is the only way to ride straight to Mont Saint Michele comes right up by the hotel which is so convenient. Great hotel to stay in!
We stayed here two nights so we could see the Abbey and island in all its glory, morning, daytime, and evening. The hotel was very clean, the front desk reception were super helpful and the breakfast was excellent value - really gave us a good start in the day. Each hotel seems to restrict its breakfast sitting only to guests staying at their hotel, so do consider this if you are staying in the area. The 10Euro parking was worth it to be so close to the island and Abbey - saved us a lot of time and we could walk there easily.
We had a great stay
Very Close to Mont St Michell, the bus is just in front of the hotel .... Otherwise it will be nice if they have some extra perks even, water ,juice, coffee or tea.... But we appreciate that they are accommodating in change of the reservation date, because the date I booked there's a conflict with transportation. I recommend this place .Merci
Outstanding location. The shuttle to the Abby stops outside the hotel parking lot. We arrived late, but were still able to hop on a shuttle and enjoy a dinner inside the fortress area of Mont San Michel. Priceless experience. Hôtel clean and comfortable but old. Breakfast was basic. Advice: be sure to contact hotel for code to get in the gate.
Perfect place to stay for your trip to Mont St. Michel. Parking easy and it is right on bus line to the town/Abbey. Room large and comfortable for two adults or two adults and two small children. Staff friendly and comfortable.
Wonderful location if visiting Mont St Michel - on the Caserne. The shuttle bus stops a few steps from the hotel.
Simple and clean hotel; very convenient location, great transportation-right on shuttle bus line; breakfast ok
Lower cost and clean.
Nice and clean. Equipped with a bathtub.
Mont-Saint-Michel is an iconic destination and Hotel Vert is as close as one can get without staying on the island itself. It is only a 2-minute walk to the tram, as well as a convenience store, souvenir shop, patisserie, and restaurant. The hotel rooms are Euro size, but clean and comfortable. The staff was bilingual and friendly. Note that you will need a code to enter the street the hotel is located on and it will be emailed to you 24-hours prior to your stay, so check your emails!
very convenient to reach Mont of st Mitchel. Only the place has limited restaurants. I will recommend this place to my friends when they plan to visit Mont St Mitchel
Thank for your service!!
Really tough to find enough space for dinner. Must make reservations in advance or you don’t eat
Clean budget hotel. Great location. All you need for cheaper overnight stay.
Good and convenient
Property does not have an elevator - had to carry luggage up to third floor. There are also no bedside plugins for devices including CPAP machines. Staff were helpful when we requested an extension cord but did not seem to understand there are health implications associated with not be able to access these types of devices.
Great location! Added bonus of free shuttle to Mont Saint Michael right in front of hotel.
Everything was great -- my only complaint was the website listed parking as free -- but they fail to mention that you have to have a code to get in the gate. This code was not sent before we visited -- we had to call while sitting at the gate. then to leave the property we had to pay a fee. Since there is no other way to enter or leave with a car I consider this to be a parking fee. as far as the property itself it was clean, safe and quiet. very convenient to the shuttles to Mont St Michel. Staff did not speak English very well -- but that is on me as I shoud learn french.
Very poor service at check in. Our room wasn’t ready on time. Staff spent their time taking phone calls rather than deal with customers so we were kept waiting trying to check in.
Molded ceiling. It needs major remodel.
Overall speaking it was good. A little of misinformation….
We had a suite. It was very spacious and was great for our one night stay. Beds were very hard. Temperature controls in room did not work.
Staff was very helpful. located in good location. However, Outlets were only in one place in the hotel room Overall, good experience
This hotel is really close to Mont-Saint-Michel. This is a basic and really clean hotel in a tourist area. It met all my requirements for one night stay. And good value for money!
The property is very convenient and fair value.
Clean, easy check in. Everything explained. Restaurants local.
Good basic hotel with breakfast costing extra with excellent location for walking distance (or shuttle) to view Le Mont Saint-Michel early in the morning and late evenings to avoid crowds
Good place to stay.
Friendly, plain and bright stay in a small but clean and comfy room. The beds are small euro twins/singles, pushed together. Within walking distance of Mint Saint Michel, and there is also a free public shuttle bus that goes back and forth every 15 minutes all day.
