inPatio GuestHouse

Although it was hard for us to find this place but once we’re there we were very happy. The location is closed to everything. The staff is wonderful. The owners were very friendly and informative. Their breakfast was great! We can tell they really care about their business. Thank you for having us.

We loved our stay at InnPatio Guest House. We were very tired after our long flight. Olga, Fernando and Junior were so helpful and gracious. Our room was lovely - wonderful night’s sleep. And the breakfast was delightful! We couldn’t board our ship until afternoon, so they stored our luggage and let us stay in the comfortable breakfast room. And Junior helped us secure an Uber to take us to the ship. I would highly recommend staying there.

The BEST place if you want to know PORTO , the owner is beautiful person . !!!! Highly recommendable this place !!

We had wonderful service at In Patio guesthouse. The entrance and rooms are accessed from a recessed courtyard away from the street. It was quiet, clean with very comfortable bedding. We were treated each morning with breakfast by Olga and Fernando who take obvious pride and care in serving a culinary experience. Olga would not only serve the food, but would explain where different fruits, cheeses or meats came from and made recommendations on food pairing. They even made our breakfast early on a couple mornings when we had to head out before the breakfast was normally served. All of this was done with pride and cheerfulness. They have our highest recommendation.

5 plus location. Walk to everything easily. Amazing homemade breakfast prepared by friendly and helpful hosts. Historic building remodeled in style has all modern amnieties.

Beautiful place, incredible location, best hostess!

Fantastic place. Great location. Fantastic breakfast, all made with local products. Super nice hosts.

The location is excellent. The hosts are warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Excellent recommendations for activities and food. The breakfast is excellent "off the charts". The room and service great. The best value we have experienced in a long time. Highly recommend.

We loved this place and cannot recommend it highly enough. We arrived early and our bags were held for us and taken to our room once it was cleaned. The breakfasts prepared by Olga are incredible. They accommodated early tours and packed us a breakfast to go when we had to leave in the middle of the night for the airport. The property is quiet, and well located. We absolutely loved our stay at InPatio Guest House.

This guest house is amazing! Fernando and Olga were fantastic! They made us feel like we were family. The breakfast are fabulous! All items are picked with much love and care. The rooms are spacious and designed with so much detail. I cannot wait to stay there again when I return to Porto!

Excellent value, especially given that we were served the most amazing breakfast of our entire trip. The room was beautiful (the bed was a bit firm for me, though perfect for my spouse). We wish we had stayed a second night. The location was great, with an (expensive) adjacent parking garage. Pretty quiet too given the city center location.

FANTASTIC! 👍👍👍👍👍 We've stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but Olga and Fernando have exceeded their service levels with a truly personal touch. They were so friendly and helpful all the way through our stay offering suggestions and anticipating needs. They added great little touches including daily sweet treats. The property has a stylish boutique feel with its blend of modern and classic decor and yet it feels really homely. Their breakfasts are among the best we've had anywhere with freshly baked items and daily changes which accommodated our vegetarian dietary needs. We would more than recommend InPatio for those who want a bespoke stay in a smaller property and close to main attractions in the city.

Excellent location in Ribeira, short walk to the waterfront. Amazing breakfasts, something different every day. Absolutely wonderful hosts, Olga and Fernando, who gave so much of their time in providing explanations and information about the area. Easily the best guest house I have stayed in, and hope to return one day.

Our room was so beautifully designed and comfortable. Home made treats , port and chocolates left in room. Breakfast was generous and varied each day and delicious. Close to so many attractions and walkable to others and multitude of awesome places to eat nearby. little supermarket nearby. Safe area. Highlight was the wonderful hosts Olga and Fernando Do yourself a favour and spend some time in Porto at In Patio Guesthouse

Wonderfull Inn. Wonderful inn keepers. Small but well laid out rooms. Lovely breakfast. Rooms felt damp, though.

In Patio Guest house was fabulous The location can’t be any better as it is close to everything yet very quiet and peaceful The room was spotless and lovely Breakfast each morning was delicious and the hosts Olga and her husband were incredibly nice We had a 5 AM flight and they packed us a breakfast for the road! I would highly recommend this property to all

We were very impressed with all the amenities. It was luxury in a guest house. Stay there. You won’t regretted. We travel all over the country and this was by far the most confortable bed other than my own. I will give it a 10+ Shirley Atlanta United States

Located in a prime spot, where you want to be as a tourist. As good as it gets....

Highly recommend this property Bit hard to find and parking in not in the premises Park in nearby underground parking

Our short stay was above and beyond our expectations. If you value service and experience, this is the spot to book. We were on 14 day trip from Spain to Portugal and the hosts at InPatio made our short stay very memorable. Thanks for the amazing breakfast (the best throughout our whole trip) and restaurant recommendations. We are coming back!

This place is amazing. Check-in was easy, staff was accommodating, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. Definitely a gem in Porto.

Great attentive staff . Excellent location in a quiet residential area that’s close to metro (Rato stop). Patio and kitchen stay open to guests for coffee and cookies as well as port wine .

Amazing experience! Hosts were unbelievably friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent restaurant suggestions and made all of our reservations. The location is perfect. Very close to the river where all the action is. Rooms were clean and modern and bathrooms very spacious. Breakfast was delicious!! Would highly recommend!!

A stylish stay in a central location. Wonderful breakfast, friendly hosts, comfortable beds - what more could we ask for?

Fantastic hosts in a beautiful building superb place

Excellent location and super accommodating.

Excellent cold breakfast, and superfriendly and helpful owners. Convenient location near river but metro station is over 5 minutes uphill on cobbled street so difficult wheeling cases. Uber is cheap and good. Need to be able to climb stairs, but owner carries cases. Surprisingly roomy bedrooms but unusual shapes. Found seagulls a bit noisy at night as I am a light sleeper. Excellent value for money and would not hesitate to return. Modern inside.

Wonderful, charming guest house in central Porto Delicious breakfast, convenient location to train station and waterfront, lovely room, wonderful hosts

Tucked away place with great manager! Was GREAT help to us. In a great part of Porto.

Great location, lovely room, very warm welcome, fantastic breakfasts and nice treats left in the room every day.

Very well located, clean and a lot of attention to detail and design elements

We really enjoyed our stay here. The thoughtful homemade breakfast was the highlight for sure. The room was clean and spacious. Wish we had more time in Porto, but will be recommending this place to friends and family. Thanks for the sweet treats and Port left in our room!

Wonderful little hotel with great hosts. We loved it. Breakfast was a lot better than we expected.

InPatio was a beautiful guesthouse and Fernando and Olga were wonderful hosts. Everything about our stay in their guesthouse was great.

This was a delightful property. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and the special treats in our room a surprise. I highly recommend it.

We were 'returners' and joined by another friend on this occasion. We absolutely love the hotel! The rooms are charming, and Ferdinand and Olga a delight..so helpful and thoughtful. The breakfast is all locally sourced and quite delicious. If back in Porto we would certainly want to go back!

InPatio Guest House deserves all its 5 star reviews. Fabulous couple run this ultra clean B&B with such overwhelming hospitality. If you can book this place(it’s almost impossible to get a reservation) I highly recommend staying. Thank you Fernando and Olga!

Wonderful staff, very clean and breakfast was exquisite. Great location!

EXCLENT STAFF. OUT OF THIS WORLD BREAKFAST. VERY CLOSE TO THE RIVER SIDE

Great hotel and the owners were very welcoming. The room was perfect and clean and nicely decorated. The location is excellent and public parking available just opposite. Breakfast was amazing. Can’t wait to return

This little guesthouse was the perfect spot. The owners are so kind and welcoming and have such attention to detail. They left little welcome snacks for us and made the best breakfasts of our whole trip. I would recommend this spot to anyone and we certainly stay there again. We were in the ground floor room that faces the little patio and I was slightly concerned that there might be some noise from the patio and the cafe there, but it was quiet, even when there were people at the cafe.

Great location and very cute spot! Amazing breakfast!!

The best hotel we've stayed in! Don't hesitate to stay here! Easy walk from the train station. Fernando and Olga are delightful, knowledgeable and charming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Lots of tips regarding the local area, places to visit and transport. Olga's breakfasts are locally sourced and a sight to behold! Amazing! Their recommendations for dinner were also spot on - places we wouldn't have found on our own. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated. Our room was spacious and comfortable with lots of little classy extras - such as complimentary port, chocolates. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto.

Really nice property. Located in a convenient area. The owners are really nice people and do everything to make you comfortable.

Owners were very helpful and kind. Breakfasts included were incredibly fresh and made with local products by the owner herself. Great location for touring Porto. Quite a treat.

Small, friendly, impeccable service. Absolutely recommended

We only stayed one night, but everything about InPatio was great. Best accomodations of our trip! Olga and Fernando are wonderful hosts and are very helpful. The place is extremely well located, but still manages to be quiet, and we found our room to be very well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious!

we stayed at InPatiio from march 14 to March 16. As soon as we arrived at InPatio, we were warmly greeted by Olga who provided us with information about Porto, maps, recommendations for restaurant, all in a very efficient way. Our room was very comfortable and awaiting us were slices of home made cake by Olga. and the breakfast was one of the best I've had. Everything is freshly made, and the service impeccable and friendly. Both Olga and her husband Fernando speak fluent french and english and of course Portuguese. The location is perfect, close to the river and fabulous restaurants. I would highly recommend this marvellous jewel and intend to stay there should I ever go back to Porto

The hosts Olga and Fernando are incredibly welcoming, warm, friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable time in Porto. The room we stayed in is a little on the small side, but very clean and had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. The daily provided breakfasts are huge and absolutely delicious. They even provide coffee and snacks in the breakfast room so that you can return for a little treat and rest any time throughout the day. The location is fantastic, being tucked into a quiet little alleyway just a short walk from Sao Bento train station, the riverfront, and heaps of great shops and restaurants. A highly recommended home away from home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four days in Porto! It was made especially wonderful because of our hosts Olga and Fernando and their beautiful In Patio Guest House. They thought of everything... warmed towels, heated bathroom floor, superb home cooked breakfasts, treats in our room each day and always ready to give us excellent advice. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming Guesthouse for one night (though I wish we stayed for longer!). This gem is located in the perfect location as it is within walking distance to all the main attractions and right by the water. The owners were readily available, and really make you feel at home. The breakfast was beyond anything we could have expected, with freshly squeezed orange juice, selected local cheeses and meats from the region, and fresh fruits. We were even greeted with home made cake at our bedside upon our arrival. We highly recommend you stay at inPatio Guesthouse!

Perfect experience from start to finish — clean room, great breakfast and exceptional hospitality. Would recommend anyone wanting to stay in Porto to this great establishment. Situation within walking distance of all the major attractions in Porto (the wineries, old monuments and fabulous restaurants), everyone here made us feel welcome. The rooms are newly and beautifully renovated, furnished in a contemporary and minimalist style, with hints of the listed building showing through. The home-baked cakes served with breakfast and as a little extra treat in our rooms, just added that extra special touch, but never intrusive to a relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

I stayed here around March time this year for visiting Porto. This one is located in the center of Porto and close to the Station and also closer to the river. It's perfect place to walk around the city. The staff(s) was very friendly and helpful especially when I didn't have much idea on where to go and how to go there. Even I was able to use their umbrella for one heavy rainy day. Their home made breakfast was also fantastic.

Beautifully renovated, clean, comfortable BnB. The hosts are very helpful and full of information about their native city. Breakfast is wonderful and very plentiful. Would stay again without hesitation.

Amazing hospitality and great place to stay! Breakfast in the morning was unbelievable! Great location too

My husband & I stayed at InPatio Guesthouse during our visit to Porto in October. It was a wonderful stay! Very clean and stylish. Olga & Fernando are awesome hosts, very friendly and welcoming! They made us feel at home in Porto. The breakfasts were amazing with fresh and homemade items. Highly recommend staying here. We would definitely return!

This Guest House is a beautifully renovated old property brought into the 21st centrury. The owners are passionate about their business and the customers they entertain. This is patently obvious from their helpfulness and attention to detail. The best continental breakfast we have ever had during our countless trips. Presentation and content absolute top draw with some daily varation. Great rooms. Great place. Great location. Great owners who thoroughly deserve to succeed !

Our stay was amazing, we are travelling for 4 weeks now, we stayed in many different hotels but this hotel was the BEST!!!

Wonderful hosts, fabulous breakfast and great location. We were only there for a day but loved it and would definitely like to go back.

A wonderful small Guest House close (but not too close) to the waterfront. The experience is made by the Owners who go to such lengths to help and advise you how best to make the most of your stay.

Could not fault it really. Lovely and very generous breakfasts every day.Always a different cheese and meat and cake to enjoy. All Portuguese specialities which was great. Very central and convenient. Room small but enough storage and excellent shower. Only caveat is that there isn't an outside area to sit and enjoy the sun. Otherwise perfect! Excellent hosts, very obliging.

to be in the In Patio is like stay wird friends. The warm atmosphere, all the little things made our stay really extraordinairy and unforgettable! Thanks to Olga & Fernando! Best place you can get! We'll come back!

Although this was only an overnight stay, the feeling of being home was absolutely felt. Fernando & Olga are exceptional hosts that are absolutely "on point!" I have stayed at several different guest houses throughout this trip & cannot compare any to InPatio. The level of hospitality is very gracious and warm hearted. The rooms are well appointed and spacious; the location could not have been any better. Everything is in walking distance; oh, and did I mentioned that breakfast is fabulous ??? Book here & stay here you will not be disappointed. I will definitely return for a longer visit!

Very nice. Will come back. Very nice and helpful staff. Very neat, comfortable and spacious hotel.

We stayed at InPatio for three nights in August. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. The hotel was well located a couple of minutes walk from the river. The breakfasts were amazing.

This Hotel is very stylish and is very central. Our hosts Frederick and Olga were helpful and accomodating and the breakfast was delicious. I can highly recommend this as we had such a nice time and all the personal touches of ensuring the food allergy was observed, our tour was booked and all our questions answered in a most helpful manner. Such a lovely place made even more so by the hosts.

Awesome people and an awesome stay

First review I have taken the time to write. Olga and Fernando are inspired. Every detail is thought of and their generous hearts and love for their city of Porto calls us back there again one day. We are to stay at another hotel in Porto before we leave for the states, if I hadn't already paid for the room, I'd go to InPatio without question. We have something there being stored while we travel so we will need to return to pick it up. Look forward to seeing them again. Love it!

This was one of my favourite accommodation experiences ever! Very conveniently located - easy walk to the Sao Bento train station, tourist attractions, the Ribeira and port cellars. The hosts, Olga and Fernando, were both very kind and welcoming people. They were keen to help and their restaurant recommendations were excellent. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was something else! The spread was incredible and Olga took the time every morning to explain what was special about each item that was being served, most of which was produced in Portugal. Fernando always remembered what our coffee preferences were. Incredible attention to detail. Would definitely stay here again!!

Quiet location but close to the river. The service , breakfast , rooms and cleanliness was faultless . Owners could not have been more helpful and the quality of service was equal or better to some 5 star hotels .

This is by far the best hotel we stayed in terms of quality and comfort for the cost. Location is central about a block and a half from the river walk. The room was chic, roomy, clean, and comfortable. When we arrived, there was homemade cake waiting for us in our room. The next day, it was Port wine and chocolate. Breakfast was phenomenal. Olga and Fernando went out of their way to call and check on the status of my lost luggage. Attention to detail and kindness of the hosts are something we just don't see in hotels these days. They were really the reason why this place is worth staying. They only have 5 rooms, so I'd book this place ASAP if you're planning a trip to Porto.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at InPatio. It is in a convenient central location and has nearby parking. Moreover, the mattress, room, and shower were extemely comfortable; and it was quiet. Breakfast was amazing, with croissants, bread, yogurt with fresh fruit, a fresh fruit platter, and some of Olga's homemade breads/ cake every morning. In addition, Olga left a special homemade treat in the room every night. Francisco was also friendly and helpful; he even wrote out directions to a historic site for us. We recommend InPatio highly.

Great place, very conveniently located, owners were very helpful and enabling us to meet all our needs and telling us where to go what to do.

Olga and Fernando were excellent hosts and made our 2 night stay so enjoyable. The breakfasts incredible. Hope to go back to Porto again.

We absolutely loved Porto and inPatio GuestHouse! The property is very modern, clean, and overall lovely. The owners were more than accommodating as we arrived early, and also checked out very early. Breakfast was fantastic and we appreciated their recommendations for food. The location is perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Location of this hotel is very good and easy walking around city. Close to many highlight areas, good restaurants and waterfront . Olga and her husband were very kind , helpful with great suggestions . Highly recommend .

Everyone else has covered how wonderful this place is, so I just wanted to leave a current review letting you know that Olga and Fernando are still doing an excellent job. The place is comfortable and clean, the hosts are fantastic and the breakfast as amazing as other reviewers claim. Fernando also gave us great restaurant recommendations and called on tours for us. Really excellent experience!

Staff was Perfect ! They were always friendly , polite , helpful and tried to make us happy. Thanks to them, we spend a lovely time . The location was good for sightseeing . 3 mins walk to Church Of St Francis , 5 mins walk to São Bento Station. Must visit again.

Nothing to worry about , Just please come and enjoy Olga and Fernandes' professional hospitality

My friend and I stayed in inPatio Guest house for 3 nights during New Year and had an absolutely wonderful stay. The Guest house is just beautiful done and have a lot of historic being an old building. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with some great beds and a stunning bath room. However what really make the stay outstanding are the owners. They are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much hassle for them - they just want to ensure that you see the best that Porto has to offer and are more than happy to suggest and help with great recommendations. Also the breakfast they serve is literally to die for. Every morning there is a personal and different touch and we loved all of it even it it was impossible to finish all the delicacies every morning. They also provide a nice little treat in the room every day and we were very touched when we got a special basket for New Year with some fun and some sparkling wine for us to celebrate - really special. I have no doubt that if I get the chance to visit Porto again I will love to stay in this place - just outstanding in every single way.

Could not be better. Gracious, friendly and very helpful proprietors

The guest house is great! The staff geniuinely want to make sure you have a great stay. The rooms are modern and tidy and they served the best breakfast we've had in Europe.

Perfect stay for my Porto trip! The owners are a couple and they were very helpful and friendly! This place is not only a place to stay but also gives you a feeling of being home! Their homemade Portuguese breakfast was great and gave you a taste of real Portuguese breakfast. The location is good, a short walk to Sao Bento station which is a main station with beautiful decoration. I was very happy with my stay and certainly highly recommend the place for everyone!

This is a fantastic little 5 roomed hotel tucked away in a quiet courtyard in Porto but yet right on the doorstep of the city buzz. The hotel is perfectly quiet with every amenity and the public sitting area with complimentary coffee/cookies and books, is a lovely addition. Watch out for the big red cat! The yummy breakfast is served to your table on a tray and looks almost too good to eat but take the time to relax and enjoy it. The service at this hotel is also fantastic and both hosts went over and above to please which made our stay extra special. I would highly recommend the hotel for a fun stay in Porto.

Will certainly return.

This is the most charming guest house with the nicest hosts you will ever meet! Nothing is too much trouble for Fernando and Olga. The breakfast is the best we have ever had. Such love and care goes in to them with all fresh ingredients and homemade. Our room was perfect, our whole stay was perfect!

We could not have been any happier with inPatio, the owners of the hotel were lovely and accommodating. They did everything with a smile, served us breakfast even though we were late and pulled out all of the stops. I mentioned that we had just gotten engaged and she put two glasses of port wine in our room with a handwritten note. They are kind and knowledgeable, love what they do and it shows! Charming and delightful! Best hotel we've stayed in EVER!

A perfect base from which to explore Porto. Olga and Fernando were perfect hosts, providing excellent suggestions for meals and exploration. Delicious breakfast and lovely rooms.

The hotel is in central Porto near all the tourist spots. Very modern inside and nice sized rooms.

We stayed for two nights to see Porto and the Douro Valley. The Guest House is perfect for a couple. It is cozy and provides a very relaxing atmosphere away from all noise. It is located in a picturesque patio. Olga and Fernandez provided us with all the accommodations we needed to have a great experience. As we arrived we asked Olga to help us find a tour to the Douro Valley. She immediately made arrangements for us and the tour was fantastic. A delicious breakfast was prepared every morning for us by Olga and Fernando at the time we needed to have it ready.

Just the right level of service. Clean and cotemporary rooms. Perfect breakfast. And all in the centre.

We only stayed here one night and enjoyed it. The location is perfect - near the Duoro and wine caves. The hotel is traditional on the outside and Scandinavian modern on the inside.

Absolutely perfect stay. Truly incredible breakfast prepared by owners.

My only complaint was that the air conditioner never got the room cool enough to sleep. Otherwise the hotel including the breakfasts were great.

We stayed for 2 nights, would have liked a longer stay. The ambiance was one of welcoming and attention to detail, everything worked perfectly, a lot of preparatory work had been done when establishing this guest house. Breakfast was a personal tray in a light-filled room, Olga explained each item, it's origin, link to their tradition; it even included home-made cakes, coffee was prepared to individual preferences, cups were re-filled. We had a problem with our car hire which Fernando dealt with easily. He also suggested the boat cruise we eventually took and it was a prefect choice. He booked us into the restaurant he thought we would like.

Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was a real haven after walking round hilly Porto. The content and presentation of the breakfasts were truly wonderful. We had a wonderful stay.

From the moment we walked in, we just loved this Guesthouse. Our only regret was we did not have time to stay longer in Porto. Fernando & Olga are so gracious and make you feel like they are receiving you in their home. The rooms are very clean with a huge bathroom area. Great location. Easy to get around Porto by foot.

Amazing stay at the best bnb I have ever stayed at. The service was outstanding, room was beautiful, modern, clean and shower was awesome. Best location. Best locally sourced and homemade breakfast! Everything was exceptional!

The best guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The owners are wonderful and can't do enough to help.

Lovely guest house run by friendly and helpful owners. Good location for sightseeing and many cafes/restaurants.
