DormHK

Very convenient

Poor ventilation with the room.

Many eateries around the area.

What I like the most is safety!

The location of the hostel is excellent, close to Mong Kok MTR station, bus to airport & many food places. The owner is friendly & provides a lot of information about transport & food places when you ask him. The layout of the toilet is not good, though I can understand the limited space for the toilet. I arrived early & wanted to put my luggage in the hostel before going sightseeing, but had to call them for assistance even after I WhatsApp them.

Terrrible

I got a room with a spacious, and comfortable bed. The air conditioning, and hot water are running well. Could do with a little of dusting, otherwise it's a perfect place for a tight budget traveler who seeks a no frill, no thrill good value for money place to stay. There are a lot of dining options near by, and easy access to public transportations. A happy stay for me.

Excellent Hostel. Value for Money. I made solo travel. Recommended stay for convenient Lady's market shopping.

Part of a tower block, hard to find. No signage in the lobby. Room was clean and the nightstaff was really friendly.

It is the cheapest hotel in this area. Many cheap eatries are around here. It is very closed to Mongkok Station. From here, it is connected to Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sa Tsui, Prince Edward & Sam Sui Po

Excellent location. Walkable distance. Room is small, neat & tidy. Provide soap, shampoo and toothbrush (upon request). Please note that there is only one outlet - if you watch TV, you won't be able to charge your phone unless you have another plug.

Beds and rooms are small but this location was very convenience.

Gd location clean and comfort

Owner was compassionate and he gave me an umbrella on my way to the airport

I stayed here twice because of the location and price.

For the money that I paid, it was a good deal. Transportation to and from the airport wasn't difficult if you knew how to take public transportation. But for those that have expensive tastes, this is not the type of lodging for them.

It is very very bad everything you pay for a towel to use

the location is great, right in the heart of kowloon. good wifi reception.

Room facilities need maintenance. Apart from good location, nothing else worth mentioning.

Excellent location and close to public transport. There has some tiny fleas on tile floor in the room.

Good location. Eatery and shopping center just next to the building.

Very small but the private double room worked fine for a weekend trip to Hong Kong. Very sentrally located!

Nice Hotel and good location but noisy from other room.

Room was clean but small. Location is convenient.

Place is OK, very near MTR and conveniently located near stores and restaurants.

easy ascess

Excellent location. Wide range of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Close to market. Two blocks from MTR. Room cleaned daily. Friendly staff.

accessible to transportation.good place to stay

Very convenient location. Friendly staff. A small room as expected. A pleasant stay. Value for money.

Right in the heart of Mongkok, so if you're looking for location, look no further. The room condition is okay, the pictures are accurate. It is clean, but a bit outdated, at least the air con works. I found a hostel that was about the same price and it was more modern but it wasn't in Mongkok, depends what your preferences are.

Good location but too a lot of people in the building long time waiting for elevator

First time in Hong Kong where space is very limited so no mater what you pay for a night or 2 the place will be small This place was clean, older building and no window which was not good but it was cheap for those on a budget I found another place paid 4 times as much , got a window and a newer building haha

I couldn't sleep during most of my stay there, the AC was too loud to be able to have a good night's sleep. I stayed up with eyes closed till almost 4-5am in the morning before I could go to sleep.

The location of the hostel was strategic. It’s just a few minutes walk from Mongkok station, exit D2. I booked a room for 5 people but I didn’t expect the room to be so small. Too small till we can’t even open a luggage proper, let alone 5 luggage.

Location is great, near to MTR station and shopping places. Hotel needs upgrading, building is old ànd does not look safe. Room and bathroom is small. No cable TV. Staffs are not accommodating. They just answer what you ask.

a convenient location. a lot of inexpensive restaurants around Mong Kok.

Love how there is ALWAYS someone there. The location is RIGHT next to Ladies Market and it's so convenient to get to the MTR.

Excellent location and convenient transport. The office opens 24 that is a bonus.

This place would be suit for budget travellers who don't expect much in room but only convenience location to travel around HK.

What you paid what you get. Dont expect paid 1 star hotel fee but wish to get 5 star service.

Best hostel ever. Good staff and easy to talk to. No problems whatsoever. Very highly recomended!

Room was not clean, it was a hostel not a hotel, no towels, rude staff,

Comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Clean and presentable room thou' it's pretty small, I guess that's the standard size room here. We were quite satisfied with the condition of the room except for a few cockroaches roaming around.

Room not clean at all and many roaches and ants, worst living experience ever. Location is perfect, but it is the good thing........

Clean, friendly staff, easy check in - great overall experience! Great location

Staff are very nice and helpful. Taking care of complaint about maintenance super quick and fast. Nice that they provide hot and cold water. Room is a bit crowded and old. They clean the floor and bathroom every day. Change sheets and pillow case after each check out. It is a clean place.

Very good location coz it’s near to everything.

Overall, it is ok. The hotel is near the shopping center and train. It is a convenient place to travel to the desired destination. There are many restaurants nearby.

Location is very nice, its very strategic. Everywhere you want to go in mongkok is within the area. Ladies market, car shop accessories, langham palace, mcdonalds, jolibee, kfc, sneakers street, goldfish market, restaurants, and the mtr is just walking distance. The hostel is good since i only need a place to stay for sleeping and a bath everyday since im always out all the time. My little problem is only the bathroom size coz its quite small and im a 5'10" guy with heavy built. I had a hard time using the urinal bowls coz its nearly close to the wall. Wifi not so good very slow and sometimes it logs off probably due to fully booked season. But overall i will comeback again in this hostel

check in was quick and fast. Location of transportation ,ladies mkt, shopping, foreign exchange eatery are just a door step way.

Location is perfect since it is accessible in all-mtr, commercials and ither

This place is by far the dirtiest hostel room I have ever seen. I cannot believe that hotels.com pictures could be this far off from the reality. The good ratings you see and read is wrong. Let me tell you, this place is dirty. It takes nasty to a whole new level. The rooms,..oh and not to to mention the bathroom. There is no kitchen, the rooms are very very small so there is not enough space for everyone to put their stuff. Some people were leaving their luggage in the common area because the rooms simply don't have space. The front desk service is the worst. Not willing to answer even the basic question. The bathroom has no tub so you actually shower in the bathroom floor, which leaves the bathroom floor wet. Hot water runs out literally after 1 min of shower, and the water gets super cold. Wifi is horrible. I can go on and on, but all I say is STAY AWAY coz its NASTY!! I needed a visual therapy to forget what I saw. Really its that bad!!

Well cleaned room, enough hot water in the shower. Hot water pots in every room.24 hour opened reception was well. The key was old style. Therefore I felt good hostel's service. The hostel's entrance was behind of "Sincere plaza" so to find was not easy. It's most important point for guests. From MRT Mong Kok station using "D1", and please notice the street name(in expefia printout, the name was nothing). I stayed two night. Unfortunately I should stay with strange guests (don' t flash toilet,no hello..etc.) couldn't be helped.

We booked for a family room and for a hostel in Kowloon, it was good compared to other hostels i've stayed in before. Plus points - near the night market and near Mong Kok MTR station.

The room is worth the price you paid for. Nice location since near the night market and MTR but signage is not that visible. Even if the address is at Argyle St., we were able to find the small entrance at Fa Yuen St.

Cheap price and small room. The hostel is located in Mong Kok, one of the busy shopping district. 3 minute walk to subway that allow you to get to your destination. Friend staff and 24 hour on duty. Need help, just ask the staff.

Nice hostel , next time I will to stay here :-) sure!!

Admittedly, I did not know what to expect in a hostel, nor do I know if this place is typical, NO TOWELS. The Dragon Hostel is in a super old building with the words, Sincere House, over the entry way door. The front door IS NOT on Argyle street, like the address, but around the corner on Fa Yuen Street. The Dragon Hostel is with many of other hostels and permanent residents in the same building. Because it's a super old building, there's a lot on add-on items over the years; exposed plumbing, electrical conduit, mismatched and lumpy flooring/tile. We had a window in our room that was covered and zip-tied shut. Being humid Hong Kong, it was evident that mildew is hard to avoid in the bathrooms. AC and water heater worked great, and was glad there was a community refrigerator. Our private room had room to sleep 3, but not room for luggage for 3. Beds are not the same length as US beds: shorter. It was fine for sleeping, but not for any kind of comfortable relaxing at the end of a traveling day. I recommend this hotel only because it was a reasonably priced place to sleep.

No doubt it is the nearest to the MTR at a very reasonable price, but the condition of the room is bad, e.g. broken shower head holder, TV reception that is very poor, noisy airconditioner with dirty air filters. Small room size is expected given the price and its HK, but general upkeeping of the facilities is not there yet.

The place is a bit let down than from what I remembered. Has a crummy feel and the room, especially the bathroom is just too small. There is barely any room to maneuver for two with luggages. Spend a little more somewhere else if you want to feel more comfortable. Otherwise, location is great though if you want to be in the thick of Mong Kok.

Great Hostel - cheap, amazing location in Kowloon (it's a bit of a hike to the star ferry and hong kong, not too bad though, but it's right off of Nathan Street and directly adjacent from the Ladies Market). The staff - one guy - was super nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and well air-conditioned, and the beds are comfortable. Only problem is there aren't really individual storage lockers, my room had one drawer that could be locked, and the wifi on the sixth floor is pretty rough. Also, this is not a backpacker's hostel, in case you wondering - it's a budget hostel, and with that in mind, it's a **** good budget hostel. Expect to stay with locals or travelers. Also, the entrance is a little hard to find - make sure you go to the right entrance - it's across from a 7/11 and a spanish hotel sign.

Good ubication and the hotel staff was servicial..oportunity area is in the room cleanliness and my bed was a little hard. But for one week the hotel is good option to stay

Room accommodation is good and near shopping area and restaurants around the vicinity but no free breakfast and no towel and other toiletresses.

The hostel is in the heart of Mong Kok on Argyle Street - it makes for a very real Hong Kong experience - I loved being so close to the markets, and the nighttime is especially pleasing with all the neon signage. The single bedroom is incredibly small, but this is Hong Kong, so you're getting the real experience. I wasn't happy hearing that I had to rent a towel, so I'd advise you bring your own. The hostel is very near to the Metro station, so it's very convenient for getting to and from the airport and all other parts of Hong Kong at a very low cost. My only problem was the staff member upon checkout - he seemed very uninterested in answering my questions and was obviously more interested in watching the videos on his phone in front of him.

Building very dirty, unsafe, bad area. Front desk didn't speak English.

Very affordable but small. There's a smell in the room which The ventilation fan were not able to remove. But unlike my other stay in chungkung mansion in the past, this has got to be good stay already given its near mrt, and the lift arrives fast enough

Good value for a Hong Kong hostel. The location have many malls and street vendors. 2 minute walk to Mong Kok subway which allow you to go to any place. The room is small and you are likely to get bunker bed, but this is normal for hostel in Hong Kong. The room is clean everyday and the shower is hot. Small discount tickets to local attractions.

The airconditionor water dropped whole night, even though we already voice out but the problem still there. Overall nice~

We booked sincere hostel but were actually directed to stay in dragon hostel. Room was clean, had basic essentials (toilet, shower, AC, door lock, shelf for belongings). Bed was very hard, the staff tidied the bedding during the day which was nice. Staff spoke only a little bit of English but it was enough for our 2 day stay. Has essentials for a short stay but nothing fancy.

You get what you pay so do not expect for a 5 star room here. Overall the room condition is ok and clean. The staff also very friendly and helpful. The location is great and it only few minutes walk to the Mongkok famous ladies market and MRT station.

This is just what I needed! Comfortable bed, small room, but with all the necessities and spotlessly clean. Toilet and bathroom is tiny, in the Asian Style, but once again, very clean. Air conditioning great, WiFi excellent, staff helpful and efficient. Near to lots of local eateries ( not touristy ones) and could get here on bus A21 straight from airport to Admiralty station, very near to hostel. Also very close to Mong Kok station, which has trains to Central station, with intown check in for the airport.

Room was tiny and simple with just a tv, aircon and single bed. No window but ventilation was good. Only had my room clean once after I lost an item from my luggage (could be my mistake or someone took it). So please lock your luggage if you need room cleaning. Hostel was located in a rather run-down flat. Only 1 lift to get you up and down. But still the experience was worthwhile. Like as though you're a local who lives there. Hostel was within reach of shopping area and metro was walking distance.

Can be better if free for towel

Good location, near to Mong Kok MTR station (big point), accessible to most of the main streets in Mong Kok area. However room is fairly small which i think it's suitable for backpackers. Stayed in this hostel with my family is much packed, unable to sit around to have a good chat, and unpack luggage too. Area is too narrow and only been able to walk around. Bathroom is small, need to wait 10 min for heater to function. I do feel that their bed sheet and blanket could wash or change more frequently, as i noticed some unpleasant smell on it. TV is not available. Could hear noise at night from the streets or public bus. Do expect to get little discomfort at night to get into good sleep.

location very good,price ok,room littlebit small.but clean

Was nice. If you're okay with room sharing, it would be fine.

Room is quite small. Facilities are enough for your stay. Bed is so small, but it's okay as we are Thai people which have small size.

Rooms were clean, Wi Fi non existent, no towels, I went to ask for towels and they said I had to buy them, ridiculous !!!

The wifi was very slow and the stairs of the bunk bad was missing.
