Reviewed Aug 3, 2026A stunning place in all aspects, when you enter the garden from the street your are like "wow, this is unexpected". Wellt kept with obvious great care and love for the details. In general this is an awesome place in slightly dire surroundings as the town of Zeltweg isn't the prettiest place around. Styria in general, the fantastic architecture, spectacular furniture and outstanding dinner are absolute top notch. We definitely will return.
A pity I had to deduct that one point of the friendliness of the staff, as they (nearly) all had been absolutely fantastic, a pleasure visiting a place with such fantastic staff. It was the waiter in the breakfast room who missed out in some aspects and was like from another hotel.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025We have visited here three times in a row, always booking the junior suite and getting a lovely room in the main building. We checked in and got took to our room which was in the annex, they lady showed us our room and left. The room was bigger than normal but I couldn’t help but notice that all the windows looked out on to properties and flats, the local takeaway and lots of residential garages. I messaged the hotel to explain my disappointment. After a while, we had already unpacked, they rang the room and told us they had already upgraded our room but that we could move to the main building. I declined as we had already unpacked and wanted to relax. I was surprised this room was classed as an upgrade as the bathroom was not a his and hers, the view was awful and noisy. I could hear traffic and the public foot path below the window was being used constantly. We had to stay with the curtains closed for most of our stay. On check out the money was taken swiftly. We have enjoyed our previous years here but wouldn’t return again which is a shame as this has always been a place we looked forward to staying at.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2025The hotel is a true 5-star property with outstanding rooms and service. The restaurant is excellent though an expensive option if staying more than 1 night. The free breakfast was all I needed though some may consider the buffet a little limited. All in all, one not to miss, particularly if you can find a good deal on the room rate.

Reviewed Jan 4, 2025Lovely hotel, with perfect service. Very kind staff! Superb breakfast and a really nice ang big room in the new annex. We also enjoyed the fine dining experience!
If there’s anything I’d recommend is to change is the lighting in the room. It is very cosy but not properly designed. Literally impossible to read in bed as the lamp at the bedside gives no light… and there isn’t a central light in the living or sleeping area.
