Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Ein wunderschöner, sehr ruhiger Garten befindet sich am Hotel, mitten in der Stadt. Wenn man ein Zimmer zum Garten raus hat, hört man tatsächlich nichts - es ist herrlich ruhig. Außerdem könnt ihr euch rund um die Uhr an der Minibar des Hauses bedienen, mit Weißwein, Schorle, Wasser. Der Kaffe ist umsonst und den ganzen Tag erhältlich, manchmal noch mit einem Croissant - wenn ihr das Frühstück verpasst habt. Alle Zimmer sind sehr schön und individuell eingerichtet. Es ist ein erholsamer Aufenthalt und dennoch sehr zentral gelegen, nur wenige Tram-Stops vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Great location up the road from Nordbahnhof, with easy access to museums and historic sites. Attractive garden, and very peaceful if you get one of the garden-facing rooms. The All About cafe 10 minutes up the road is a great brunch spot.
No coffee in the room, although there is a coffee machine for guests to use in reception.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Vriendelijke ontvangst, personeel zeer behulpzaam bij vragen naar het openbaar vervoer. Prachtige tuin, waarin het goed vertoeven was. Gedurende de dag was er gratis koffie, thee en hapjes beschikbaar.
Er is een uitgebreid goed ontbijt, broodjes aan de harde kant en weinig keuze in broodjes.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Alles was perfect, zo een mooi hotel, de kamer was enorm mooi, beetje middeleeuwse sferen, de tuin was zo een verfrissende oase van rust in de drukke stad! Er stond koffie en thee die je mocht pakken als je in de tuin zat. Personeel was enorm helpvol en vriendelijk. En natuurlijk Max de huiskat was enorm gezellig om te zien rondlopen. Er was een kitchenette voorzien van olie en zout, je kon gewoon een simpele maaltijd maken, en supermarkt en eettentjes om de hoek.

In den Zimmern, die zur Straße hinausgehen, ist der Verkehrslärm sehr laut. Wenn man an heißen Tagen nachts die Fenster öffnen möchte - es gibt keine Klimaanlage -, kann das auf Kosten des Schlafs gehen.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026The hotel is in a fantastic location (10 minutes from the train station by tram, and close to many other tram conmections) but despite being in the centre, it is super peaceful and quiet. I had a garden room and could sleep with the window open at night without earplugs, which is rare in a big city. I massively appreciate that! The garden itself is lovely, and there is a small self service bar where you can make some coffee/tea/take a drink and drink it outside. They also have a cat, and all the staff were super nice.
The curtains in the room were see through, I was glad I bought an eye mask because I would not have been able to sleep without it. Blackout curtains or blinds should be a must tbh. My room was also not as nice as the rooms in the photographs, and you could tell that the bathroom was quite old (the radiator for example was yellow and a bit rusty with age).

I liked garden room, but not the light and sound isolation. Curtains didn't prevent garden light to come in. Also, neighbours smoking next to the window was unpleasant as smoke felt in the room.

Aufwändig die (richtige) Rechnung zu erhalten. Zimmerfenster ist bei der Nähe zur Straße nicht wirklich zu öffnen; dafür ist der Preis zu hoch für dieses Zimmer (trotz Lage).

There is no airconditioning. I arrived in Berlin with 38 degrees temp. They provided me an electric fan since I asked for it.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026Das Hotel mit Garten hat viel Charme. Es ist ein Privileg, im schönen Garten frühstücken zu können. Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und ansprechend eingerichtet. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels unweit des Berliner Hauptbahnhofs ist optimal, um in Berlin gut in alle Richtungen gelangen zu können.
Das alte Gebäude hat keinen Aufzug, aber das sehr freundliche Personal hat meinen Koffer nach oben getragen. Schade ist, dass die Rezeption an Werktagen nur bis 18 Uhr und an den Wochenenden sowie an Feiertagen nur bis 16 Uhr besetzt ist.

Ausstattung des Einzelzimmers: kein Nachttisch, kein Licht am Bett. Nur Deckenleuchte. Wer gern im Bett noch liest, ist angeschmiert. Durch den Raum zum Lichtschalter an der Tür und zurück im Dunkeln stolpern, das geht gar nicht. Im Bad keine Ablage für die üblichen Dinge, nicht mal für den Zahnbecher. Obwohl es ein schönes, hell ausgeleuchtetes Bad ist. Eine Haltestange in der Dusche wäre wünschenswert.

Die steilen Treppen zum Zimmer. Fernsehprogramme lagen wegen Signalstörungen nicht in einer strukturierten Reihenfolge.

There is no parking available there. If you want to have a spot to park your car, you need to make a reservation through the hotel website, which I have not been informed about and couldn't find any information on booking.com. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator; consider this when booking the room as well.
