The location is okay.The staff they are nice and approachable, and I understand that because they do only their job (their function and duties) I have staff too at my own resort, so I totally understand them.

BEWARE OF THIS. FORCING YOU TO PAY AGAIN EVEN YOU PAID ALREADY IN ADVANCE! I spoke with the owner personally that night and she insist that I did not pay yet online via booking, even I PAID ALREADY IN ADVANCE via booking.com and the lady owner she FORCING ME TO PAY DOUBLE, so beware of this. Even I explain already that booking.com when you go for booking they will not allow you to PROCEED without paying in ADVANCE online. I am the resort owner too and I am connecting with booking .com too for 14 years and I knew how the booking com is. And that night, she even showed me a FAKE message and she said is from booking.com, and I knew that's not from booking.com ,because while she showed me that, I got already message from booking.com stated that they apologized that the owner asking me again to pay in double. So, as a law student too, I have to collect all evidence and I contacted booking.com and report them that the owner is forcing me to pay again even I fully paid already in advance. Therefore, the next morning I got a txt from the hotel ,stating that I have to comeback because they are going to refund me,because that day during check out they really force me to pay, and that day I have appointment that I don't want to mess, so I PAID again even I PAID ALREADY IN ADVANCE VIA BOOKING.COM, but before I pay them ,I did an agreement that they have to refund me once they see in their account that I paid already in advance. SO be CAREFUL guys and FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT. Better to report and contact immediate the flat form where you booked.

Ik hou van de rust, de locatie is een beetje buiten het centrum en toch heel dicht bij alles. De eigenares is zo vriendelijk, het voelt heel familiair. Alles wat je nodig hebt is er, het zwembad is gezellig. Ik vond het heel aangenaam.

Have stayed here many times in the past, apparently citadel was leased for the past 8 months to people didn't run it so well thank God the owners are back now running the place, this is my home when in Puerto and everything was perfect, this is a hidden gem lovely rooms lovely swimming pool and grounds

My fight was cancelled and I let them know. I want you to keep my booking as i was arriving early in the morning instead of that night. I did receive a reply acknowledging this and saying they wouldn't cancel my booking. On arrival at the property my booking had been cancelled. Even now when my stay has now been completed I am getting messages from booking.com saying I was reported by them as a no show! I did turn up and I paid for the two nights even though I only stayed the one night! I was also told that I could have breakfast in the morning and when i got up at 8:30am to have breakfast I was told they was no food left. It's not close to anything as far as food goes so if breakfast isn't an option then it's not easy to go find food. The website actually states that they can organise a shuttle they don't they told me that they didn't have one and they couldn't do it. The lack of communication is appalling.

I’ve been contacting them for sometime now about my refund because they charged my credit card for my stay and ask me to pay in the property the full amount. They told me they will refund the amount to me as long as I have proof that booking.com charged me the full amount. Days later I sent the proof that they already charged my credit card and ask them how can I refund the amount I transferred to their account. They are not very helpful about my situation and didn’t reply as much and didn’t update me regarding the process of my refund. It’s not much amount of money but this is very inconvenient. Until now Im still waiting for their response or just update. Very disappointing

Lovely pool, a little out of town but has everything you need. Fridge with cold drinks at reception was a nice touch.

The room turned out to be inhabitable as I have asthma condition due to the extensive growth of molds in bathroom walls and kitchen sink, caused my asthma attacks two of the three stayed nights, had to cancel the remaining two nights out of five but the owner did not give a refund it was not my fault the room wasn’t habitable by an asthmatic person as I am.

Would not pick us up from the airport, because "They do not know you. " We pre arranged our airport pick up with them! This caused our group of twelve to scramble for transportation. No curtains on the bathroom ground floor window. Had to request a towel to cover the window. Staff walking by window to dry floor mats on hangers. When we checked in, I had to lock the bathroom window. The shower curtain fell on me. Every concern we have is met with, "This is under new management since October. "

The accommodation looks very nice and cosy with its decorations, wall paintings and a nice swimming pool. The staff are very friendly as well. Overall, good quality for the price

The B&B was OK, located close to the airport. OK for 1 night if you've a flight the next day. The room was bug with a kettle & fridge and the property had a nice pool area, bar & restaurant

You can't take your own food or drink, cant do laundry! There are rules & signs warning of fines. We Felt like intruders rather than guests. The staff were stern and cold, they lacked in warmth & customer service skills. We didnt find the area very nice either, although you could get a tricycle to a decent shopping mall. Unsure if they could arrange tours as they were not offered even though I had emailed asking about the underground river? We booked 2 nights, but 1 night really is enough if you are flying from PP the next day. We have been travelling for over 3 months throughout SE Asia. Stayed in many different places and enjoyed them all, but did not feel welcome here sadly! We are in our 60's, hardly party animals, yet on check in was asked to pay for the room in cash, plus a 2,000 peso damage deposit! We explained that doing this would use up all our cash so she did reduced the deposit to 500! Again, we felt uncomfortable. There's a total lack of hospitality and trust. I guess they have their reasons!

Near the airport, the ambiance is relaxing. Can't comment with the food as we did not have the chance to try it due to early flight

Aircon cannot accommodate our group, as we exceed 1 pax but still it's hot. Of course for an extra charge for the excess. And lots of mosquitoes inside the room. I don't like the smell of the bedding.

Clean place with a nice breakfast. There’s a pool and a garden well maintained. The owners are nice and have 2 adorable dogs. Relatively close to the airport and a mall where you can buy SIM card.

Clean spacious rooms, a decent-sized swimming pool, and a relaxed vibe. Perfect place for the last day in Palawan before the next day departure from PPS airport. Basic amenities in the room, perfectly working aircon and Wi-Fi. Big shopping mall not far away and within walking distance to the beach. For the price - big yes.

Cash only. C`mon, we have 21st Century... Also, all prohibitions on every step like no food, no beverages from outside of the hotel or you will be fined etc - a bit shady. Really simple breakfast, avoid the sausage I would say, its... just dont take it.

Friendly owner, great room like a hotel

The pool was clean and comfortable for my kids to play. It was nice to have good food available at the hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful with our various questions and needs.

It was a little away from the center of town but that was fine as we were doing day trips and had a short stay.

We loved this hotel, planned to stay 4 nights, and ended up staying the whole week. Rooms are nice and big ( we had a ground floor with a private balcony ) Clean towels and bedding changed every other day Good air con Hot shower Breakfast was basic egg and toast, and 2 days we had an omelette, which was made by the owner, was delicious We rented their motorbike, which was 700 peso per day, The pool is beautiful and cleaned every day The surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. There's a street food shop across the road she made us some delicious burgers and crepes The hotel is a little bit out of the area, but if ur aiming to be out and see the sites, it's ideal to come back to and relax The owner came down with a bottle of wine for us on our last night ... big thank you Fantastic Value for money x

The owner is super friendly and helpful, the swimming pool is clean and the confort/price ratio of the room is a great deal. She helped me book a van to El Nido, and gave me a lot of advice on how to plan the rest of my trip

Cheap stay if you stay only a few nights

Strange vibes.. Breakfast was from 7 to 9am So went at 8am, there is not a lot of options (well, only 1, that's what Ms Citadel prepares that morning) The other breakfast options are charged and if you like orangejuice, sadly that is NOT included with the free breakfast option through booking.com I was only allowed 1 coffee, and I wanted some of the fresh brewed pot that was nearly finished (1/3 of mug leftover). I asked her for some and she bluntly replied that she was not going to make any new pot and had to take instant coffee and powder milk.. wtf Ms Citadel had this fake friendliness (I will help you kind of attitude, but didn't feel sincere) There was no soap (only 2 mini sachets of shampoo) There was a waterheater, microwave and a sink but no dishes or cutlery. And when we asked for it they said it was too late to provide us with anything (only 8pm). The days we stayed the swimming pool was closed for maintenance and when we left it reopened (without mentioning this when we checked in) Also strange Christmas decorations in the room that were super dusty and seems like they had put once and never taken it down 😆 ANYWAYS, I wouldn't go back. Rather look out for something else. Where hosts truly want to help you!

There is nice pool, however at our arrival it was very dirty. They cleaned it after we pointed it out. From then on, it was pretty ok. The rooms are spacy and have a good layout, including a small kitchen and a fridge.

In general, the staff seemed unmotivated when we arrived. The room was not cleaned properly and there were some issues about the payment. We were then told that they are understaffed. But that should not become the problem of the guest...

The room was big, the pool was nice and cleaned everyday. The staff and owners were nice and helpful. The breakfast was good.

Hard to think of something

Fantastic place , Great owners, very friendly and helpful, I injured my back before I arrived, and the owner bought me a yoga matt ! The rooms were big clean , quiet ,with a quiet aircon. The bed was big and comfortable. The breakfast was good , They have the best burger I have had in the philippines! The swimming pool is great , has warm water , The shower has hot water and good pressure , The area is great close to town , but not noisy, Will definitely stay there again !

Pillows are a bit hard , but that's a personal opinion.

They were kind and they organised us a driver for a trip and transport to the airport.

The breakfast was included in the price and among all options we were mot able to choose the breakfast, they chose the one to be served for us. Also the size of a breakfast was pretty small.

Would diversifi the food menu to be more local food. A bit off, but no problem with tri cycles passing by all the time.

Clean, comfortable and accommodating. Our flight got in late and the pool was still open and staff even made us fries even though it was late.

Road noise, broken shower head/knob, and breakfast was a little disappointing and sparse. One pancake, one fried egg, one sausage/hot dog, and instant coffee. No fruit :(

Pool not cleaned enough needed more chlorine water was quite smelly to 2 days after kids playing in pool all day. Breakfast was just 2 fried eggs on toast every day for 5 days disappeared. Not much nearby in the way of restaurants.

Citadel is managed by Del, the lovely owner who went out of her way to accommodate me and my family during our visit. The location is ideal, it is 5 min ride from Robinson's Puerto Princesa, it is also 5 min ride away from the nearest beach. The rooms are clean, the staff are amazing and very accommodating. We came to visit in March, the driest and hottest month of the Philippines, the pool was reasonably large and was quite warm and refreshing.

Certainly there are things that can be improved but these are minor things that are more than made up for by the service and warmth of the owner and the staff. If you need anything that is reasonable, just ask them and they will try their best to accommodate you.

The towels provided were rather small and the breakfast was rather pricey though. However, you can easily order food to their place.

Very nice property, located close to the airport and to Robinson Mall, big room, very clean, good AC, fridge, electric kettle, big flat screen TV with own satellite antenna, very nice pool, good and tasty food. And last, but not least, HOT water, available at the shower. The lady owner and the staff were so kind and welcoming with us.

Checkin experience: Our accommodation was prepaid by my credit card, but hotel did not inform me about it, so I got my refund (-taxes ) back at checkout. Watch out if you paid with credit card. Breakfast was less tasty than at other places.

As an advertised Bed & Breakfast, I was disappointed that breakfast was an extra charge. For the price paid it should have been included. Nice clean pool and rooms kept clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

It was great for big family vacation. Breakfast was traditional but also good.

This hotel is off the main drag and located in a quiet neighborhood. No worry, it’s close to Robinson Mall, but who needs it when the little restaurant here will rock your world. The bar? Pool, and nightly rock videos make this an amazing stay. Add fast laundry service, an amazing staff, and fast WiFi and you won’t want to leave.

Jednoznačně nejlepší hotel (pátý na palawan co jsem navštívil). Veškeré služby na špičkové úrovni nemám co vytknout vše naprosto ok.

Der var altid hjælp at hente i receptionen og ud af de fire ansatte var det kun en som snakkede dårligt engelsk. Vi forlængede med en nat og havde derfor tre nætter, hvilket var passende til at nå de seværdigheder der var i Puerto Princesa. Vi blev hentet i lufthavnen for 160 php og fik en masse nyttig information af vores chauffør, på den korte tur. Ved poolen er der storskærm og der spilles musik fra kl. 8 - 23 hver dag, så der lægges op til fest, men musikken er ikke overdøvende. Vi var på Citadel i low session og oplevede derfor ikke fest og larm.
