Even though the hotel is quite good and room is clean, our pillow cover is dirty and we asked them to change but no response as the front lady said she will ask other to inform about it.
Was a great stay, not too far from Everything you need x Room service/change was a bit disappointing though. Staff need more training
This is an adequate hotel for 800bht all day long but not worth more. The staff don’t seem to comprehend English or Thai. They will let you choose items from the breakfast menu only to go away then return to say they don’t have, item after item. The hotel is on the ring road a long walk from the beach, the staff are unable to organise taxis despite the signs claiming they can. I checked out 2 days early.
We stayed for 6 nights with 2 families and we should have found other accommodation. The staff were extremely lazy and just sat around on their phones. As soon as we ordered drinks during happy hour the sign disappeared. Breakfast was average and my husband even bought his own banana to have with his pancake. We are not fussy travelers but we expect service to be acceptable. The boys did like the pool and the pool table though.
The hotel is situated in a very busy which creates a lot of noise day and night. However it is clean and well maintained and you could not ask for friendlier staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
I booked and prepaid for a "super delux room with a view", the best room they offer, when I arrived I was placed in a ground floor standard room that was blocked by a cement wall from the front street and when I complained, they tried to extort an additional up charge of 300 baht to give me a room above ground. This hotel sits on the highway which is extremely noisy. The hotel is 30 minutes walk to the beach down a busy highway street. The room had black mold In The bathroom and the pillows were brown stained. The staff manager is very rude and pretends to not understand English when you complain. Expedia should remove this hotel from their offering lists. Avoid staying if at all possible.
Sorry guys very average here and not good value. We paid £90 per night for a family room. The bathroom was not nice with many sharp edges. Aircon worked very well and the food was really good. Sometime I got angry with the staff because they would help other people whilst helping me (maybe this is the Thai way) which is frustrating. And there were language barriers. The hotel is on a busy road so not good for kids. The small pool is ridiculous because more than half of it is dive pool depth (why????). Would I stay again? No too expensive and catering to the usual alcoholics
We really enjoyed our stay here. Good facilities, room was clean and staff were really helpful. Pool is great, good wifi. Located about 15 min walk from the beach but lots of good cafes and shops nearby.
We found multiple mosquitoes in our room, there were hairs and stains on our bedding, and our room didn’t even have a window. I’m shocked the reviews are so good- this was the first time I can remember taking the financial loss to check out early, I wanted to leave that badly. Stay away.
The hotel was in a quiet place near the beach, had many 7elevens and restaurants in the same street and a market. We stayed two nights and the rooms were cleaned those two days and we were given new towels also. The food coocked there was really good. The internet speed was fine, we managed to stream a football match. It had plenty of tv channels and a pool table. Recomend definetly
All in all a good Hotel with all standards. It's nice and tidy. We just had the bad luck to get a room with a door to the neighbor room, so it was a bit wafer-thin, but the rest was fine. Karon Beach however was a bit disappointing, dirty and crowded.
Not quite, but the proximity of the main Patong-Karon-Kata road makes it feel that way. Admittedly wasn't described as "sea-view". But unless you can regularly stroll with confidence through security at one of the plusher resorts, you are faced with a 15 mins walk along the aforementioned busy road before you get a view of the sea. 3 sunbeds and a postage-stamp pool ensure the need to go to the beach. The proximity and open access to the busy road mitigates against quiet relaxation in the otherwise comfy and cozy lounge/reception area. The coffee machine at the bar was broken for the first two days, but no problem, "I'll use the facilities in my room". Except the kettle didn't work. The replacement retrieved from another room (the two kettles were swapped !), contained grey water to start, but then produced orange coloured water in return for the clear stuff I'd put in. Rust ! All of this is a shame as the room and balcony were both clean and spacious, and all the staff were without fail, courteous, helpful and smiling. But there were a number of irritating, small things that prevent me from recommending the place for more than a night or two pit stop.
Thankfully we only stayed here for the final 2 nights of our month stay in Thailand. The photos of the hotel are very misleading. The pool is right there as u walk through the hotel & is very small with 2 sun loungers there. If it was the start of our holiday then I certainly wld have left straight away sorry to say. There is nothing nice to do near by. Unless u pay to drive to the beach. It's in a very grubby busy street. The hotel room was ok & u had a tv & tea/coffee. I stripped the beds back to check on clean bedding a found stained blood all over the bottom of the sheet & blanket , so obviously not changed from before. My husband ordered the thai green curry (it's he's favourite) & wow was we disappointed! The sauce was far too hot even when I asked for it to be mild, & they use frozen vegetables (carrot, peas & sweetcorn). It was awful & expensive. I can honestly say this was my worst experience in Thailand. I wouldn't go here again if it was free and the staff could be more helpful & pleasant!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is very simple, right along one of the main roads, kind of tucked away. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The wifi was terrible and would often only work in the lobby. The coffee is amazing! The food was only ok. I would recommend eating somewhere else. The pool was small, only 3 chairs available. Laundry service was 60baht per KG and took 24 hours. The beach was a 10-15 min walk. The room was clean with air conditioning and complimentary waters. The bed was very firm. Overall, great little place for a very affordable place.
We arrived and were surprised with the amazing staff of this hotel. They were incredibly helpful and the thai food served all day was delicious! Try the pad thai. Our room was nice and spacious with a comfortable bed. We got a clean room and fresh towels every day. The pool was great to cool down and just hang out. To get to the beach, it is a 10 minute walk but there some great restaurants, coffeeshops, massage places, etc closeby which came in handy. We would definitely stay here again, mostly because we just loved the staff and atmosphere.
Excellent service and nice sized rooms. The restaurant food was way above average and the pool was a bonus . Only a 5+ minute walk to the beach and motorbikes are available for rent at a very resonable price . This place is ideal for a stay in Phuket !
We only stayed here for one night as they had 24/7 reception so it was a convenient place to crash when we landed in Phuket. Wish we'd stayed longer as it was a lovely place with a nice vibe to it. Pool table in good condition and pool looked great.
As soon as we arrived we felt welcome, with staff rushing to help us with our backpacks. The place is beautiful and homely, we couldn't believe how nice it is for how cheap. It's more like a hotel than a backpacking hostel, which we definitely needed!! The staff are very willing to help you with anything you need, and tried really hard with their English by keeping conversations up with us. The rooms are huge and so comfy, cleaned daily. Food was good, nice and quick, without even having to leave the Hostel, couldn't fault it at all. The location was fab for us - a little out the way but right next to shops and restaurants, with Karon beach no more than a 10 minute walk away. The only downside would be how much it cost to get to Patong for an evening, costing 400 baht in a Tuk Tuk - this is literally the only downside I can think of and its so minor! Really it has nothing on what a beautifully amazing place it is! Next time we're in Phuket we will definitely be back here!
Long way from beach with no transport, no charm and lousy food. Way past use by date. Contrary to booking agreement, charged my credit card four weeks before arrival date.
Not too far from the beach, or north Karon. Super friendly service and staff. The staff were very accommodating with our children as well anything we needed I.e: Food, laundry, taxi service all taken care of with a smile and promptly. Bottled water and use of beach towels too!
Hi I and my family booked 2 grand deluxe room with plus extra bed for 5 days. The room are ok, kettle in the room was rust be careful check before using it. Whn I ask them to replace new one they said don't hve any new one. The last day night we had a very bad experience. The key with flash card was having some problem So we can't able to on the light n aircond . We are them to fix it . They are asking for 500 bhat to fix it they said it our problems. They are rude and didt do anything at all. Actually on tht night they should hve fix it We had taken 2 rooms had paid fully nearly 10,000bhat . For tht plastic broken flash card . They are not fixing n asking for money. I'm very disappointed with this hotel . They are up for money only not service to customer.
We've visited Phuket, Karon on a couple of occasions and have been to Baan Suay twice before. On both occasions we've had the most amazing service, the food has been really good whether you want Thai or European, and we found the rooms to be immaculate and regularly maintained. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's only 5 mins on a scooter from the beach, so it's the perfect place to stay if you want a relaxing break or families looking for a good base to explore Karon from without being caught right in the middle of it. I will certainly be going back there when I can next visit, and I strongly recommend it to anyone.
We got to the hotel at 1.45pm (2pm is check-in) we where told our room wasn't ready and we needed to wait. As we waited (45mins) a woman and her son came in asking about a room for four. They so would she like two rooms and she said no she wanted a family room. They then said they had one. Then another 15mins later we where told they didn't have the family room we already pre-paid for but offered adjoining rooms. Not having much of a choice we took it with complaint. The adjoining room for the kids was windowless and the shower would flood. All the linen and towels are long overdue for replacement. Linen was very stained had holes, the towels where ragged and also had holes. The cleaners refused to change the linen when asked saying it's not the day to change. The food is a little high compared to the places within 5-10min walk. They do have a nice deep (3m) pool although it didn't look like they have run the filter in some time. This could be a very nice hotel ( not a resort) if it was properly managed but unfortunately it looks like it's being run down.
We went here for the last 2 days. We booked a bungalow but got inferior accommodation. On check out we asked to pay for accommodation that we received. Manageress told us no, I advised we would write a poor review on booking.com, she said "have a bad life and die". We promptly cancelled drinks and food we ordered out of disgust. The husband then rang us and told us to pay for the food otherwise he would ring the police and get us arrested. He then contacted booking.com and cancelled our booking as a "no show" so we couldn't put a review on. So we have are resulting to FB. When we checked trip advisor, he threatens death and police often....beware. We are mature travelers with adult kids. We are sensible and want to warn others. DO NOT BOOK
We rent bungalo.Good size, clean.Feel safe. Can't say anything about pool,we didn't use it.Very very friendly workers, cleaners and girls behind the bar. Nice position of the place as well. Not far away from seaside, but far enough from pubs and restoraunts. We rent motobike, because for us its not fun walking along the road without pavements. At the other side ot the road very cheap fruits, compere the Patong and Karon prices.120baht mangustin ( Patong 250 baht and more) Even hotel near the road, bungalo located at the back so very quiet.People said different about rooms, but we rent bungalo,so can't comment on that. We did lots of staff around area, diving, elephant riding, went to Buddha,so we just slept in our room. We like that place. If you want more from your hotel then you need to rent bigger place on the beach
Good things: * great value of money * I was stayed in bungalow room, spacious with a king size bed (but the bed is too hard for me and not so comfortable), clean and with an air-cond. Take bungalow room if you afraid of noisy sounds from main road. * Staffs are friendly, helpful, they cleaned the room everyday. * Beach towel and mat are free provided to guest. * They rent motorbike with reasonable price, 300tbh per day. Bad things: *Location. Not really near to beach and it is actually not located in the center part of Karon town. You might need to walk around 500m to get to restaurants and shops. Take a motorbike if you can. *Pool is small and very deep. *Bed is not comfortable. *No safety box and chair in our room.
We got a good deal via Agoda $21 AUD a night and stayed 10 days. Rooms are very clean and serviced every day. They provide towels mats and snorkeling gear for free to visit the beach. Their pool is lovely. A few criticisms. It is a brisk 15 minute walk from the beach along a busy road with poor footpaths and it is dangerous - not safe for children. The gravel paths to the bungalows are noisy and not nice to walk on. The price they charge for tours is below the brochure price but not competitive with people like Lucky Tours down the road a km and 30 m up a side street on the right.
The pictures do make the hotel look better than what it was, however it was clean but basic. The wifi was great throughout the room and hotel. The staff were friendly however didn't speak great English. The location was ok, about a 15 min walk to the beach and shops. Make sure you lock your valuables in the save or a LOCKED suitcase as apparently the cleaner may go down your unlike suitcase to steal money etc, however this didn't happen to me. Another guest told me it happened to her and the manager refused to help. The room is cleaned every day however they left the same bedding on my bed for my whole 6 day stay.
The hotel is ok, but for the price we would have expected a bit more. Except for the pool and size of the room some budget chain hotels offer more in the area. TV is old, Wifi is not strong enough to get into the room. No coffee, tea or water in the room. Big towels are nice, got additional pillows when asked for it. Service is good too.
Room was good, quiet, clean, great little pool, staff and owners were very friendly. We enjoyed our time here. Walking distance to restaurants. 15 min walk to beach.
Friendly staff, small hotel, limited ameneties, room small with ineffective aircon, wetroom not practical as no shower divider/curtain, mosquitos in rooms, fridge warm unless you are in with keyfob powering it, not much space in bungalow room when twin beds were put in, threadbare and small towels
Helpful staff. Good location for access to night market and about 10 mins from the beach. Room rather small and dated compared to others of same or lower price in the same area.
This hotel was in great location as you can walk to Karon and Kata looking at all the street markets and restaurants along your way. The pool was a great addition to the hotel as the weather gets very very hot. Its a great way to cool down in the shade of the hotels pool. All the Hotel staff are wonderful, helpful and smiley and speak a good amount of English to make your feel comfortable in the environment. Hotel looks just like the photos on their website, would defiantly stay here again.
The staff are very friendly and the level of English is GREAT. The air-con works perfectly, windows in the room have netting to stop mosquito's from entering. Excellent WiFi everywhere on the property. It feels like a little oasis with in a small beach town, with a clean deep pool for refreshing evening swims. They gave me a room to shower and freshen up before my evening flight since I had been to the beach that afternoon. Nothing is too much for the staff. They have an all day menu and the food is delicious!! Two types of rooms. The bungalows are at the back of the property, and you follow a bamboo lined pathway, to your room. Nice and quiet. The other rooms are in the main building, larger and more modern. I enjoyed the bungalow rooms. The hotel is close to the Saturday evening market. An awesome place to enjoy local foods and buy bargains. Short walk to ATM, massages, tourist stalls, 7/11 etc.
Stayed here in our first here nights in Thailand. Stayed in a bungalow which is situated down a gravel track down the side of the hotel. The room is very basic, but was really clean with a comfortable bed. Ok this is not a luxury accommodation but with what we paid for two bungalows for three nights suppose we got what we paid for. The hotel is situated around a 10/15 minute walk out of Karon Beach.
Spotlessly clean! quiet location but close enough to main part of town and beach, very friendly owners, possibility to rent motorbikes / book trips / taxi service available at the hotel. Gym located down the road for a small fee, very big comfortable beds, 2 free bottles of water every day, free wifi that worked fast!, Fantastic swimming pool. towels / umbrella's / mats and beach games are provided free of charge! We had a perfect stay and really felt at home! Thank you so much.
After 10 years of staying in big hotels, this time i changed to a smaller hotel at the hillside of Karon. It was really a pleasant surprise for me how nice this little hotel was, also the hotel owner was such a lovely and helpful Lady. They have only 20 rooms at the hotel so it creates a very friendly atmosphere. Room was spacious and clean, swimming pool was lovely and staff were great. I will stay here again next time for sure.
This was the most friendliest place we have stayed yet in Thailand, the staff couldn't do enough for us. our room was very clean and well decorated. it had everything we needed. The bar and restaurant area was very relaxing with its sofa's, the pool table was free to play and was a great way of getting to know people over a game. The pool was crystal clear and a great way to cool off at the end of a hot day. The food was great especially the breakfast. Thanks to the owner supong and her staff, with their local knowledge we were able to visit many places of interest. We extended our stay here.
