Heaven on earth
It was perfect
Sehr! Wunderschön und dazu sehr freundliches Personal!
Location unica, servizio impeccabile e proposta gastronomica di alto livello. Tramonti mozzafiato… Consigliatissimo, sicuramente torneremo!

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff are all very professional and welcoming. The American bar is excellent with 2-3 experienced and enthusiastic mixologists. Various dining options with prices ranging from reasonable to ridiculous - take your pick! We always ate at the reasonably priced Il Ginepro and food/service were very good. Beach is very pleasant as is pool although latter is at back of hotel over looking car park - I presume for protection on windy days. Better to spend time on lovely beach which was clean with clear water. We’ll be back!
The location is fantastic and the beach incredible. Dining outside we witnessed the longest sunset I have ever seen.
Absolutely outstanding! The warehouse of an old mine turned with great interior architecture and art into a fascinating luxury hotel. A spectacular location besides Europe‘s biggest dunes and a gigantic beach with very few people. Already the drive to the hotel is an adventure. Yes, luxury is expensive … but at Le Dune it was worth it.
Tutto perfetto
Prezzi elevati, ma li vale
Krásné místo na samotě u moře a naprosté ticho s málo lidmi.
You could not ask for more from the hotel facilities provided in this beautiful location on the west coast of Sardinia. We spent three nights here with one of the nights spent at their tasting restaurant Rosso Tramonto which was exceptional. Special mention goes out to Nicolo and Claudi who guided us through the night All meals were outstanding and the American bar staff were very engaging and again impeccable service
Un angolo di paradiso
This is an amazing place to stay in Sardo is if you are looking for a spectacular beach for walking or swimming, eating the most creative and beautifully curated meals, and getting an overall relaxing stay including a pool and spa. It is heaven on earth here at Le Dune!
Vicinanza alla spiaggia. Disponibilità dello staff. Pulizia del posto. Cibo buonissimo.
A unique and very special experience. Staff were attentive, helpful and always friendly. Beach location, pool, bar and restaurant were all outstanding.
The access road is a challenging drive but a big part of its unique location. We found the air con minimum temperature too warm.
Posizione stupenda, staff gentilissimo, colazione e cena ottime gustate praticamente in spiaggia, tramonti mozzafiato, sauna libera, zone relax piacevoli
This property unique and absolutely outstanding. Truly elegant and serene. The staff were amazing and the dining at night sublime. We cannot rate our experience highly enough. We will definitely stay here again.
Absolutely nothing - we loved everything about it
Die Ruhe und die Lage
Wonderful location and staff. Gorgeous experience
With all the travel options at the touch of a keyboard, this has got to be one of the most exceptional 5* finds in Sardegna. Sitting in the southwest of this wild island, the views are of an endless coastline of natural dunes and blues waters. Go there to be completely unplugged from life; to take in nature's generosity and the beauty of the stars at night. There are yoga retreats coming up here soon too. Am up for anything they suggest!
Sehr freundliches Personal. Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Friedvolle Atmosphäre.
Checkin Prozess nach Mail-Voranmelde-Formular ausfüllen, ineffizient.
Amazing experience at this hotel. Everything was beyond our expectations: tasty food, room cleanliness and staff quality. I recommend everyone stay here at least once. Thank you again!
This is a hard review to write - there is a lot of 'wow' but also a lot of room to improve. LOCATION: The marketing blurb, and travel writers, refer to the location as totally remote/isolated. Its true that its a beautifully converted mine building at the end of a long dirt track, but it's located on a public beach. There is a large campervan site next door and two beach bars. So at breakfast you get a wonderful view plus people wandering past the roped in hotel perimeter watching you. Not a deal breaker - and the beach bars are very nice - however you're not 'isolated'. GOOD BITS: Staff, location, views, sunsets and the courtyard bar. Wine selection good/deep and sommelier excellent. Courtyard bar staff excellent. Breakfast mind-blowingly good - lots of local treats - insist on eating it outside NOT SO GOOD BITS: Food. We were hoping for (and asked for) romantic sunset food served outside; we got over-priced bland food that was beautifully presented, served in a sterile library like atmosphere by lovely but under trained staff (2nd night was spent at a beach bar - which delivered everything we wanted atmosphere/romance/sunset-wise at a fraction of the price of Le Dune) POOR BITS: Customer service culture. We had a issue with out room (air conditioning stuck on full so room was 'freezing') that was not resolved (they promised to fix it but simply turned off the airco - so the room got too hot). There were plenty of alternative rooms to swap us to of the same grade; this option was only offered late on day 2. I spent several hours trying to resolve the issue - it make a 'stress free stay' stressful. No attempt for feedback - at check-out or afterwards. When we offered feedback it was ignored. This shows that 5* customer service is not ingrained in corporate culture. Le Dune - please improve and please - seek the feedback of your customers so you can deliver more consistently and achieve your potential...
Ristorante
Everything was great..except the drive to it hehe! Having said that all was amazing and we will definitely be back. Such a special place <3
Just the drive to get to the hotel.
The hotel is situated in a wonderful location and also meets high standards.I was looking for a place where there are few tourists and you can disconnect from everyday life. The standard of the rooms and the quality of the cuisine are top.
The staff seemed tired of the season. They didn't serve what we ordered on the menu. There was no privacy in the room – the glass door had a curtain that let you see everything through. Unfortunately, we were unlucky when a group of young, drunk German guests put on a show through our door. I had to call the front desk to intervene – unacceptable in a hotel of this caliber. Moreover, 12 hours after leaving the hotel, I receive information about additional costs. The room was previously checked by two people to check what had been used from the minibar. The staff must have had a very busy season and are working at their wit's end.

If you are looking for something unique and exciting in Sardegna, this is where to stay. It's a place where luxury meets creativity and style...... not to mention all of it on one of the most naturally beautiful beaches on the island. The commitment behind the project is unmatched -- design and art and thoughtful comfort everywhere -- not to mention wonderful food.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and were greeted with great friendliness right from the start. The landscape surrounding the hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, and the hotel's private stretch of beach is gorgeous. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking peace and relaxation.
Le Dune resort is located in a unique location, with a fantastic history, a beautiful beach with the highest dunes in Europe all around and recently it has been full refurbished adding pieces of arts and trasforming this previously 3 stars in luxury 5 stars. As all revolutions the result is not fully achivied. Rooms are nice but not at 5 stars level: bathroom essential, without TV set (i.e: if it's a philosofic approach why some rooms have it). Customer Service is good all team was fully committed and very kind. Breakfast is good but 5 stars one are different. Due to the fact it's the only structure in a range of 20km you've to eat in one of the 3 restaurant, but they're not really 3 restaurant, it's the some restaurant in 3 different spaces, 2 with a fixed menu. Food is very good but after a week you're fed up, every day the same menù. So probably it was more honest and aligned with the location to keep an Hotel at 3 or 4 stars and not to target a 5 stars.
Außergewöhnliche Lage in den Dünen, schön Architektur.
Anreise (Schotterstrasse).

I had seen some negative reviews of the hotel, but had also seen it on a couple of best lists, so still wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. It's a journey to reach the hotel, but it's in a beautiful and unique location right on the beach. I received a room upgrade which was appreciated, and the room was very nice. However, the acoustics of the hotel are terrible, so it was very loud in the room both from outside and above. To get out to the beach, you have to walk through the nice bar downstairs, and the pool is tucked away on the other side facing the parking lot, so you have to walk back through the bar and reception to reach that, which seemed like an odd setup. You are assigned a beach chair based on your room number, which in theory is a good plan, but when I arrived later in the afternoon there were numerous chairs open and I instead had to sit a foot away from multiple couples because of my assigned chair. I was attacked by gnats as soon as I sat down, so didn't make it long out there anyway. My experience at the bar was the highlight- the bartenders were friendly and attentive, and my drink/aperitif was great. However, dinner was a disaster. When I arrived, there was no one there doing the seating so I had to wander around and try to talk to three different people before I located the hostess. I had booked for one, told her it was for one, and she still felt the need to say, "So you are alone?" When I was seated, I was not given a drink or wine list, and had to ask numerous times to receive one. No one seemed to actually be assigned a waiter to give a greeting or introduction or ask questions; instead, as I was trying to get a drink, a man just came over and asked what I wanted. I explained I was still trying to get a wine list and had not decided yet. When he came back later, I tried to ask him for some advice since I didn't have a waiter- I explained I was between the gnocchi and the linguine with clams. His response was that if I wanted fish to get the linguine- super helpful. I ordered the select three cheeses from the trolley, but rather than actually being able to select, a man just dropped off three with some spreads. When I tried to ask about making the selections, I thought he was having difficulty understanding me but instead he was just being rude and said they are pre-selected. If that is true, the menu should be clearer but at the very least they should be telling me what the cheeses and spreads are rather than just dropping them. My pasta came out before my starter had, so I again had to talk to multiple people to discover that my starter had not been ordered. I told the man what I had ordered, but then was brought out essentially a caprese salad, which was not even on the menu. I had to try and flag people down again to figure out what happened. To his credit, he took the item off my check, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he was trying to give me what he thought I wanted, but it felt a little like assuming the American just wanted a caprese. I am a slow eater, so the speed of service was not a huge issue, but my water was not refilled once, I was never asked if I wanted another drink, or even checked on at all throughout the meal. For what is supposed to be a high end resort, the lack of care and attention was pretty unacceptable, and it ended up being my least enjoyable meal after several weeks in Italy. Breakfast was a very nice spread and service during that was actually attentive. While checking out, I explained I was in a rush to get to the airport, but it was painfully slow and I was incorrectly charged hundreds of euros for what was supposed to be an included amenity with my stay that I did not even utilize. I asked if my large suitcase could be brought down and taken out to the car park while I went up the steep hill to get my car; he instead brought it down and left it behind me at the desk and started to walk away, so I had to ask again for it to be taken out to the parking lot, which just seemed strange. Overall a disappointing level of service not worth the journey or price.
Superb hotel, very good restaurant and the surrounding is incredibly beautiful.
I would have complementary drinking water at disposal of the clientele
Cadre exceptionnel.
I want to rate this place 5/5 because it really is deserving of some very positive feedback. Minimalist but very nicely renovated, a remote vibe which you either like or don’t, we did. The access to the beautiful beach with barely anyone around is special and the food is really very good, some of the best we’ve had in Sardegna. The reason I don’t go full 5/5 is because as friendly as the staff were, they could just be little sharper and quicker on service. We had to wait a long time for our meal in the Rosso Tramonto. A nearly 4 hour long dinner is just too long for me, and when the sun went down it was windy and cold. We asked to go inside at the end which was fine, but they were not attentive to this. We also had to wait a long time for our bags to be brought to the car. Not a big deal, but just shows the staff still needs to be trained to be a bit more on the mark. Overall though a beautiful spot if you’re looking for a more quiet remote experience in Sardegna.
Aperitivi at the bar outside and dinner in the “normal” restaurant were very good.
The food in the “tasting” restaurant was too elaborate, nauseating and ridiculously expensive.
This hotel is amazing with a great mining history. The lodging is surrounded by sand dunes, and the sea. An extremely relaxing location. Be prepared for a rough last 10 km of the drive. I would not recommend trying to go there in the dark. Once you get there, plan on staying and enjoying yourself. This was the perfect place to end our two week vacation in Sardinia.
The location is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful wild dunes and amazing sunsets, but it seems like the hotel is riding on that alone to justify the price. There are many superficial "luxury" features, but the substance, and the details, are way off. So much is wrong, starting with the pervasive sewer smell which is, apparently, something that can not be fixed. The rooms are small, ours was missing robes and do-not-disturb tags (the housekeeper barged in because she could not see the do-not-disturb light in the sun). Lots of other little problems in the room like incomprehensible design choices in the placement of light switches, missing basic toiletry amenities, no replacement of beach towels etc. The regular restaurant has a small menu that does not change (although the Maitre was accommodating to dietary requirements). The waitstaff was overwhelmed and literally running into one another and bickering. The upscale restaurant was pretty much what one would expect, also very few menu options. Curious that it is located in between two sides of the other restaurant ensuring constant pass through. It is pretty obvious that the hotel does not attract quality personnel (the housekeeping staff seemed particularly clueless). Few of the staffers seem to be trained, the ones who are responsive and pleasant seem to be new to hospitality and just (to their credit) trying very hard. We found some workarounds with meals at the small beach restaurants just off the hotel premises: basic food but a lot more together and, for us, a lot more fun. We did have massages at the spa and the therapist was very good. We brought all the problems up to the manager who listened politely and suggested various seemingly generous but ultimately odd solutions like a room upgrade to a room that did not face the ocean as we had chosen, etc. All in all we felt there was a huge discrepancy between price and quality and not much concrete plan to improve that ratio. We do travel extensively and understand very well the category this hotel aspires to, it is just not there. As much as we would love to be in the beautiful landscape again, we would not want to stay at this hotel again.
It’s a beautiful property in a stunning location on the dunes. It opened 6 months ago and still has a fresh look about it. The staff was professional and friendly. We ate at the restaurant every night and did not get bored with the menu. Amazing fresh dishes with lots of flavor, even more amazing considering that transporting food to this location must be challenging.
The bed could benefit from a memory foam as it was too firm for my taste but a perfect size for two :) The room was comfy even if a little small but the bathroom with only one sink was a bit challenging. It also could have used a bar or two for hanging towels.
Great place, professional staff, good food, nice beach,
Road to the hotel. .quite expensive
My husband and I stayed at Le Dune Piscinas, and from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, we were constantly treated with amazing service. The beach views were the best part of the property, and the room we booked was very comfortable. It felt like we were in a James Bond movie, with feelings of exclusivity and quiet, as well as romance. The dunes that the hotel is situated in are incredibly beautiful and I think the best way to enjoy is by staying at the hotel. Our only regret is that we didn’t see more of it (we had a short stay). Finally, the restaurant was probably the best meal we had in Sardinia on our trip. Guests must, must make a dinner reservation and sit by the beach—you won’t be sorry ☺️. Every detail about this hotel is incredible. And if you don’t believe me, just book a room and see for yourself.
Super luxurious, delicious food, gorgeous beach, beautiful.
A long drive
The hotel itself is beautiful and well equipped, comfortable beds. Lovely bar area, and initially a nice welcome.. So far so good but sorry guys this is not 5 star service and for what we paid I expected better. Check in from 14.00? No way - we were welcomed with a glass of wine which was really nice and then shown to the bar and despite promises of a tour of the hotel we were left for nearly two hours before we checked in. No worries as such, as in the end, we decided to find our bags and get changed so we could explore ourselves and visit the beach whilst waiting. An occasional update from reception would have been nice. The restaurant was average but provided constant entertainment as the waiting staff muddled orders, seemed irritated with one another and supplied wrong food. We got wine we hadn't ordered, sparkling instead of still water, eggs Florentine (which wasn't on the menu) instead of eggs benedict, wrong menus, dinner menu for breakfast, next course provided while still eating the first, just to give you an idea of what to expect. Staff may well have been trained in Paris waiter indifference but hey - these are all silly niggling issues but not what is expected at this price. and why do we have to ask for tissues for the bathroom? surely this is normal? The location is gorgeous and its great to be able to walk so far along a sandy beach with very few other people around. A high price to pay for a beach.
