Prachtig pand, heerlijk eten, goede bediening!
We didn't have breakfast, but we had an excellent dinner. All of the staff were very friendly and eager to help. They even provided a welcome bottle of prosecco, which made the check-in experience even better!
On very hot days, the fans in the rooms aren't very helpful, and they're a bit noisy. I understand that suites are antique and there is no way to have air conditioning, but I recommend having fans with a misting option, which would help a lot.
Nothing
Super traumhafter Garten, edles Hotel und super freundliches Personal
Nichts
Good location. Friendly staff.
Feels a little bit overpriced.
Heerlijk verblijf!
Photos hardly capture the beauty of this lovingly tended boutique villa. I encourage those who seek a olde world feel stay to make their reservation. The room, dining, and gardens are all up to snuff. Downtown Beukenhof is a stroll away and worth the effort.
Simply more coffee pods in our room would have been good. FYI, the fridge in South Africa is not cold.

Beautiful hotel and gardens. Very handy to the village with bakeries, restaurants & groceries. Easy 15min walk to Leiden Centraal for the day we spent in Amsterdam, and a 20min drive to Keukenhof. Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent from A to Z
Nothing
Gardens are beautiful and maintained in a natural condition.
Kamer was echt geweldig.
Excellent property with great, friendly staff. I would definitely go back.
Verder alles in orde !
Fijne uitstalling, gezellig hotel.
Location and uniqueness The room design Atmosphere and full of character Plenty of parking
Nothing we didn’t like
Fantastic Continental breakfast- real variety, superb quality of food, lovely ambience, relaxed and unhurried.
No shower curtain, caused a mess, and no tray for soap in the shower (although there were lovely body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided)
Beautiful garden setting Close to center of the city
Poor lighting in the room
Historical charm
No suitable secure parking for our tandem bicycle that had to be secured on the side of the path to reception
N/A - this time, but from previous experience it is very good.
Overall the facilities look tired and need a serious dose of investment to make the place sparkle.
Amazing room, spacious, lovely bathroom with large tub which was nice to soak in after touring and walking around all day. Easy to find. Nicely decorated very clean.
We got there late and tired. Offered dinner reservations but no menus available. Found the service good but slow. I had ordered meat but was not offered how it was to be cooked ie well done, rare etc. Mine arrived blue, after waiting a long time did not want to wait longer so my husband ate it. It was very pricey and a little disappointed that I didn't send it back. No menu in our room to review or we would probably not have eaten there. Otherwise our accomodation was fantastic.

It was comfortable and beautiful.
The stairs.
We loved the room! Everyone was kind and extremely helpful.
Everything was very nice. Feels like at home. Best hotel in Leiden
Nothing
The site is very nice for a bnb experience
I tried to set up a little surprise for my partner but the staff didn't help much
Excellent restaurant (thé service could be a bit quicker, but at the same time the guests can take their time enjoying the food). Well equipped bathroom, stylish rooms. The city center is a nice 30 minutes walk. Spacious parking.
The whole villa is just insanely bautiful, the room was perfect and romantic. Everyone there was super friendly, they showed us everything and even offered a welcome drink. It was definitely a very nice experience and I would totally come back.
It was quite expensive, but I understand the location is really close to Amsterdam and to all the tullip fields.
Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard, great breakfast and dinner. Well located for visiting Keukenhof.

Setting and historic value. Room comforts
Poor Espresso Martini…
Lovely old style & decor yet modern rooms & bathroom
A little too far from the town centre, but there is a bus service.
The Paris room had a nice wide bath which for my broad shoulders is rare & his and her basins is a nice touch, with a comfortable and cosy bedroom. The atmosphere of the restaurant is charming and the meal exceptional, with very good service. A very short walk to the end of the road leads to a small high street with a collection of cafes & restaurants with a super market in case you need provisions. The bus services near by are great for getting into Leiden and so less stressful than driving and parking which we did once to fing the only parking option was 28 euros for the day !
Bathroom toilet not very private to bedroom with loosley closing doors and a blind that only partially covers the glass with a perfect viewing angle for anyone sat up in bed,, so pick your moments. Also the small window above the bath has no blind which although looks out across a flat roof and trees in the distant park still feels a little open to view.
Having an entire, beautifully furnished house at our family's disposition.
The first floor, where the bedrooms are, can get a bit warm if it is hot outside.
We loved Villa Beukenhof! The gardens are stunning. We were in the Dubai room. Our friends had the Paris room. Both our beds were very comfortable. And the bathrooms were spacious and wonderful. I would definitely book again if traveling this area.
The Dubai room could use more light options.
Villa Beukenhof is just a magical place. Wonderful gardens, beautiful room with a lovely deep bath. The food is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.
Nothing
Location was great. And fantastically decorated rooms.
Nothing
Liked the large, personal breakfast, excellent quality, and staff was very attentive. The dinner at the restaurant was also excellent, with large portions. Although the building is very old, the rooms are up to scratch
Room needed better curtains, too much light in the early morning
Free parking
It is terribly noisy. I don’t understand why you use this place as a hotel! Everything there is about the restaurant. It’s impossible to stay in your room while the restaurant is open.
Great location, amazing garden and atmosphere
Bathroom music and screens are old and dont work, bit overpriced for outdated feeling rooms
Clean accommodation, comfortable beds, great breakfast and excellent service.
Having a second toilet would be helpful.
very quiet room and amazing bed. The restaurant and breakfast were really good and the staff very professional. We highly recommend this hotel.
nothing
Staff were warm, helpful and welcoming at every point - a credit to the establishment. Location was excellent in a suburban garden setting. Lots of clean towels (but bed not straightened). Dressing gowns (but no hooks to hang them on anywhere). Welcome snacks, drinks & toiletries all appreciated.
The ‘deluxe suite’ was tired & inconveniently arranged. Settee blocked access to wardrobe that had no door handle. Only one bedside lamp and main lights can only be turned off outside the room. Large, well-equipped bathroom but double glass doors wouldn’t close as there is no inside handle. Small tiles missing & very sharp edges & corners on narrow shower entrance. No hooks anywhere. Decor mix of quirky, contemporary & irritating - only small dressing table & mirror blocked by huge vase of outdated artificial flowers. Badly in need of redecorating - paintwork in poor and dirty state on windows and walls. It is a vintage building but it is poorly maintained with little attention to detail. The Villa is really a restaurant with B & B style rooms, not a luxury hotel as it claims. It is a pleasant place to stay, with nice but not exceptional food, but is really overpriced in its current condition. With better attention to detail and proper maintenance it could be really special as it seems to have been in the past.
pleasant surroundings. Nice decor. Bedroom was lovely
Breakfast. Attitude of the staff.
