Reviewed Aug 17, 2026We had a wonderful 3D2N stay at Raia Hotel Terengganu (29–31 July). The breakfast buffet was a highlight—super nice selection with great local dishes like Nasi Dagang. It is extremely kid-friendly; the children loved the swimming pool facilities, and the room was spacious and clean. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Highly recommended for families visiting Kuala Terengganu!
The only drawback was a noticeable smoke smell in the hallway leading to our room, which the hotel management should address to improve air quality in common areas. Despite that, it's still a solid, family-friendly choice in Kuala Terengganu!

No low tables by sockets to place items for charging. The pillows were not so comfortable. Although the hotel in itself was clean and comfortable the location is a bit way off from eateries.

We were pleasantly given a room facing the pool (a big plus), even though we didn’t specifically request it — really appreciate the thoughtful gesture knowing we were travelling with kids. The pool was nice and had a safe depth for children. The buffet breakfast had a good variety, and the nasi dagang is a must-try! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
