Somewhat disappointing hotel based on the photos online. Everything was just ok. Shower was nice at least. Great location though, very close to the Louvre.

Rooms are very small, but relatively well appointed. Hotel is kind of quirky. Rooms are accessed by a single elevator that worked intermittently during our four day stay. Location is the major selling point. Staff is friendly. We did not take advantage of hotel’s breakfast.

Perfect location. Safe. Clean. Room is small but in line with European standards, nicely decorated and functional. Lacks facilities - gym, bar. Staff is ok, could show more interest and enthusiasm.

I stayed here several years ago and it was fine. I was very disappointed for a 4 star hotel. Hardly any place to put things, no clock, no instructions on how to use the phone. I could not get the front desk. The sink area in the bath area had no place to put anything. The water in the shower jumped from cold to scalding! I was very disappointed and would have moved but I would have lost alot of money. Hotels.com did help me get my money back on a second reservation when I learned that I may have to return home early. Thank you for that.

Very cute hotel for a first timer and budget friendly. Not in a super fun location (the street is quiet without much of anything, across from the Bank of France, but very close to the Louvre and a short walk to cafes.

Location is great, room is TINY! I could barely open my luggage and there was no door to the shower space. The toilet was enclosed in basically a mini closet. No mini fridge. Ok for one person or a couple staying for a few nights. Could hear outside and next room but street is pretty quiet. Overall is OK for the price. But not my favorite. Bed is comfortable.

This hotel has mostly positives -comfy bed, blackout curtains, great shower, quiet area, lots of nearby restaurants and shopping, and very cute decor! Front desk staff was also friendly and the elevator was convenient. The L’Occitane products in the room was also a great touch! Cons -there wasn’t any laundry service available. The listing on Expedia was inaccurate for this and I had to spend an evening nearby at laundromat. I also arrived during a heatwave and the 1st night of my stay I realized the thermostat in the room was locked and unable to be adjusted. The next day the AC was on and running for the rest of my stay. I think it was 1 system for the entire building so it couldn’t be adjusted in individual rooms. My room was tiny but worked well as a solo female traveler. Good stay for the location and price even considering the couple minor inconveniences!

Very light, airy and clean room. Cheerful decor. Excellent facilities. Staff friendly and most helpful whilst being professional. Always a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We loved our stay. The hotel is adorable. The staff was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Despite being close to lots of tourist hot spots, the street was very quiet. We would absolutely go back.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. We initially had a handicap accessible room which we did not request. They found another room and moved our luggage while we were at the Louvre.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to be hospitable and kind. The housekeeping team is exceptional— the room was incredibly clean and kept that way throughout our stay. This hotel is top notch, clean, modern, amazing location, and friendly. It’s located in the heart of it all a few blocks from the Louvre however the street it’s on is relatively quiet. The rooms are modern and nicely appointed— they are super small. That is my only negative, my partner and I had difficulty maneuvering around such a tiny room. I had a large suitcase and he had a medium sized one. The entire room (including bathroom and shower) is the size of a small… very small bedroom. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, it was wonderful! Next time I would get the largest couples suite.

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Crayon Rouge! The decor was everything!!! This place is an art, vintage, and literary lover’s dream. The staff was very nice and helpful with recommendations. Everything was clean and tidy, and felt very safe walking to and from the hotel. You can also leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out if you’d like to explore Paris before departing. It’s a short walk (10-20 min) to the Louvre, Musée de L’Orangerie, and Musée D’Orsay. About the same distance on the metro to some really fun thrift stores in Marais. I got around and back quickly and safely as a solo traveler. It’s in front of the Banque de France so it’s pretty quiet at night, perfect for myself since my room was on the second floor. I slept like a baby.

Perfect location to see Paris. Staff were very hospitable. Plenty of restaurants and night life within a short walk.

Make sure you book the correct occupancy. I ran into an issue with checking in my occupancy changed prior to arrival

What a great boutique hotel in the 1re arrondissement. Very clean hotel and rooms. Room is creatively decorated, clean, and well-stocked bathroom with l’Occitane products. Staff is so friendly and helpful! Hotel is in great location, walkable to dining options (even late night options), public transportation, shopping, and touristy areas! The staff were extremely attentive and Didier was especially kind and helpful to book our transport to the airport. He then made the necessary arrangements for the transfer to pick us up later so we could walk and enjoy the neighbourhood when our flight was delayed by a few hours.

Small rooms within walking distance of major tourist attractions such as the Louvre and Notre Dame. And if you’re up for walking a bit more you can of course also walk to the Eiffel tower and take the metro back.

This is an adorable niche hotel. Our room was so cute! However, the smell from the shower drain was really noxious……… we had to cover it with a folded towel. Their breakfast pretty so so……. Only eggs are hard boiled and green. Nice staff though. Our room really cold. Cute but would not stay again.

Amazing hotel!! Great location about a 5 minute walk to the Louvre. The rooms are large including the bathroom. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel also offers free water and coffee 24 hours a day.

There were ticks/insects in my room. I had to wait a while in the cold for someone to open the door and check me in. Good location but not too clean.

Great place close ten minute walk to Louvre. Quiet area and great front desk staff. Close to many bistros. Would recommend this hotel if you’re good with small room sizes.

This was a fun boutique hotel close to The Louvre. It was within walking distance to lots of shops and cafes. The room was spacious and decorated nicely. There was a blow dryer and bathroom amenities from L'Occitane. We had only two issues. Our main complaint was the bed. My husband and I both had sore backs as the bed was very firm. Shower was also small with a shower enclosure that moved. It was near impossible not to leak water all over the bathroom floor as the shower enclosure did not contain the water and shower was curbless. Overall impression of this hotel was great. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again especially if they had mattresses that were more comfortable.

It was simply ok. Pros - location is great, within walking distance of all the sights - staff are friendly Cons - rooms are very small (I know this is normal in Paris) but this was super small - if you switch the lights off at night and have plugged your phone in it won’t charge, this was infuriating to wake up to. - construction started at 8.30am and the e could hear this very loudly in the room - temperature during the night went from hot to freezing.

staff were fantastic and accommodating. AC was turned off for the season. we opened the window but the traffic & construction noise noise was unbearable. room was adequate not enough space at the vanity. again, the staff was incredible to satisfy us.

the staff are fantastic, very pleasant and accommodating. the bathroom sin is very small with no place for toiletries. the AC system was turned off for the entire hotel to switchover for the winter. evening were hot. we opened windows for relief. however, the noises from the street were unbearable !!

I chose this hotel because of the air-conditioning and location, and for that it was perfect. I did not need much space or a view. I had issues with the shower and the shore door that were not addressed, and there were issues accessing anyone at night time.

This is a super cute hotel in a superb location and the staff was very nice. We were able to walk from the train station and also walk to many of our destinations. The only time we used the Metro was to go to the Eiffel Tower and that was really simple to use. The reason I'm giving it 3/5 stars is that we returned to our hotel room at 9:30pm in complete darkness, we had to use our cell phone lights to see anything. None of the light switches worked and no one was at the front desk to ask for help. There was a sign with a phone number to call for assistance, but when we called the number a message was played and then it clicked off. There was simply no one to help with this issue. Fortunately, we didn't have much to do and went right to bed. My advice is to make sure you know how to use the lights when you first arrive and someone is at the check-in desk to ask for help, if needed. Other than this, the hotel was fabulous. We had the breakfast package and the food was yummy!

We were welcomed very nicely and our room was ready early which was a nice surprise. Room was super cute and quiet for a good night's sleep. Loved the chalkboard walls of the elevator. Breakfast was also yummy ! Highly recommended as it is close to the RER/Metro and the Louvre.

Great staff, awesome location, and great shower were the highlights. Unfortunately the internet connection was terrible during my whole stay (5 days) due to technical issues it seems. Still not acceptable in this day and age. The bed could be more comfortable as well, it is on the firm side (at least for me) and the street on which the hotel is located is quite busy, and the window don't block entirely the outside noises.

An excellent stay. Great staff, great location. Two points for constructive criticism. Our room was quite warm and we weren't certain our air conditioning was working (thankfully it was winter so it didn't matter and we didn't raise it with staff) and our main shower was a little weak and possibly in need or repair. Nevertheless would still recommend. Lovely, quirky, pleasant staff. Perfect.

The only problem was that my group reserved 3 nights in the same Hotel, but they only had one room there. They did put 2 of us up around the corner at their other property. Their staff was wonderful especially Lucas. He could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. It really is a sweet place to stay and would stay there again.

The location was great if you're looking to be in the center of the city, especially for visiting the Louvre. The decor is wonderfully French, and there are really attractive lights in the showers. The shower did have some mold in it, though. The only real issue I had.
