Puri Asri Hotel & Resort

Prachtig hotel in zeer mooie omgeving

Als moeilijk ter been niet geschikt omdat resort heuvelachtig is..Maar er is een Shuttle bus

Experiencing genuine staff friendliness while in a hotel environment is very important for guests. Hotel facilities, calming natural views, feel incomplete without sincere hospitality.

Tempat yang indah. Kamarnya indah, nyaman, dan bersih. Makanannya luar biasa. Saya ingin kembali lagi; saya sangat merekomendasikannya.

The grounds, The garden and The view to Progo River and Mt Sumbing is something else. So serene, lush and green. All the staff were very happy and super helpful. Breakfast was delicious with so much varieties. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lack of bathroom amenities.

Staff are kind and polite. Breakfast spread is good as well as the team service at the restaurant.

The television wifi connection in the room is not being set, hence I have to call reception to get help in fixing the setting before I can watch news.

Tutto. È un paradiso terrestre. Consigliatissimo!!

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable rooms.

We enjoyed the time at Puri Asri a lot. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially to our small boy!

Facilities were nice, for example the pool and the playground, but also had some years on their back (partially broken).

Good value for money, the room got upgraded. The room faces a river. Very good room. Beautiful view surrounding the resort. In the city center.

Nothing.

This hotel is very beautiful compared to its price. The food provided by the hotel is also quite affordable. The facilities are fairly complete, including a swimming pool, shuttle service, and fitness studio. The restaurant is especially beautiful in the evening and sunsey, with a river flowing beneath it. The views of the rice fields, Mount Sumbing, and the river are stunning. The staff’s hospitality is excellent.

They are very stingy in providing soap and shampoo, even though you can request more. Still, it’s inconvenient to keep having to ask for soap. Some of my family members also reported that the pillowcases and duvet covers smelled like other people’s perfume. If it’s true that the linens were not changed, this is a serious issue for a star-rated hotel. Hopefully, it was just their imagination. The thin walls between rooms and the ease of hearing conversations from neighboring guests are also serious drawbacks for a private hotel of this class.

Great stay at a great resort. Nice view on the river and rice fields. Great restaurant, great food and dito breakfast.

nothing

Very huge resort, located at riverside of Progo. Plenty of facilites and activities there, such as huge playground open space, jogging track on riverside, rafting, swimming pool. Room is spacious, quiet, good surroundings Easy to access, in the central of Magelang, close to Alun Alun, and other attraction Breakfast is really good, tasty, and provide various food and desert. To go to another facility in hotel, better to use hotel's shuttle ... Really enjoy to stay there.... see you on the next trip

This is not a brand new resort, but it continuous to expand. They now offer vila with private pool as well as new executive room. I stayed at the executive room with private porch situated in front of the main restaurant. The area of the resort itself is a downhill slope facing the Kulon Progo river. You can enjoy some activities next to the river such as badminton, chess and also rafting along the river. With a large area of the resort, in my opinion, they need to increase the number of staff especially in regard to cleaning and house keeping so that the cleanliness will be maintained better and any room services will be quicker. The bed is comfortable and towel is fresh. They offer a basket of local fruits which is also a nice touch. It is worth to note that since this location is in a downhill slope, the pathway is a little bit steep, however a shuttle bus is always ready to pick you up, and transports you up and down within resort.

At first we booked the Superior Room, however upon arrival we upgraded into Executive Room which we believe was a great decision as the room was recently renovated while the Superior Room looked old and shabby. 1. The shower was nice 2. Lots of greenery at the hotel and it was quiet at night 3. Lots of options for the TV channels 4. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They took immediate action when we asked for help or when we expressed our dissatisfaction

1. At the first night (Executive Room) was not clean. There were lots of yellow and red stains in the bed and blanket, and the floor was not clean. We complained and the staff provided immediate action which we appreciated. However we felt that this should not have happened at a 5 stars hotel. 2. Poor breakfast. There were fruit flies and the food was not tasty. Moreover the drinks were limited, e.g. we have to pay extra for cappuccino.

Been staying here a few times during the pandemic. Now that we're looking for a long-time stay, we had asked for a quotation (multiple times) to the appointed personnel: the gentleman from Sales and some ladies from FO, who both only giving a false hope and not doing their job to at least give a rough quotation. They also don't have synchronized answer regarding the health protocols and requirements we need to bring to the hotel. I must say that the security, housekeeping and waitress from the restaurant are doing terrific job; such an unfortunate that those who sits behind the desk are not being empathetic and accommodating at all. P.S. The hotel needs to be more strict with the wearing the mask policy outside the room since we've witnessed there are plenty of guest who's just mask-free every time they're out. Put more a mandatory sign to wear a mask throughout the property please. Not only in the lobby.

Puri asri magelang hotel & resort is located in the heart of magelang city-central java. The hotel has a big land spread with rooms and so peaceful. I like this hotel because this hotel has several facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, bbq place, kids playground, terrace spa and restaurant with good view. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is clean, good bedsheet, clean bathroom. There is a wifi in the hotel room. Over all, Puri asri magelang hotel & resort is a good place to stay in magelang. Enjoy!

We stayed there during the pandemic, the hotel implements a good health procedure so we feel safe to stay there. Lots of outdoor activities so it's very suitable during these times. Very recommended if you are looking for a resort with fresh air and a beautiful view.

I was visiting Puri Asri Hotel & Resort in December 2020. It was located at the valley of Progo River. The resort comprises of a 20 hectare hilly area with in garden jogging tracks and many outdoor activities. I was staying in a room located in the upper part of the resort, just across the restaurant. The room is quite soundproof despite of the loud music from the restaurant. Room is clean and very comfortable. Guests can relax, enjoy fresh air and the landscape from the porch. Covid-19 protocol was quite strict. Thumbs up to the management for the effort to ensure safety and comfort of all guests. Upon checking in we were required to submit rapid test result. In the restaurant, mask is mandatory, and food is served by the waiters despite being a buffet meal. Food is simple and quite limited for the standard of 4-star hotel. The highlight of the resort is the scenery. Beautiful mount Sumbing, is visible from many parts of the resort. Those without the view of the mountain still can enjoy the greeneries of the Progo River Valley. Tips: It's much cheaper to book direct to the hotel compared with booking online.

Hidden in a fantastic and natural scenery in the center of Java, a few minutes away from Borobudur temple, this absolutely unique resort is a destination itself. You won't believe the extention of the land until you actually walk around it and its unique and pretty singular concept worth the visit. Here, nothing but nature and breathtaking ricefields, a river, amazing swimming pools and kids areas that are authentic gifts for families and kids, but also a spa, and hundreds of rooms, divided in several categories and so well distributed in this huge resort that you will have the feeling to be alone. The Royal Village is dedicated to super premium facilities and enjoying one of them is the most perfect way to introduce yourself to what traditional and authentic javanese luxury is: all the materials, the design of its vintage rooms and the quality of the installations are a reflection of it. But the most unforgettable part of your visit will, without any doubt, be the people who manage the place. The staff is amazing, their smile, attention and KINDNESS are priceless and they have a genuine, pure and honest generosity you will never forget. I highly recommend this place.

My first time stay in Magelang, during family visit, normally we stayed in Yogyakarta. My Brother in law booked for me and family. The resort was very nice with river view, seems like old hotel but well maintained, and some of the room already new. The facility Great, the swimming pool huge, clean and very nice decor. they have basketball, badminton, bicycle, kids area and many more. The breakfast was nice. I am surprise in city like Magelang they have very nice resort. Normally we stayed at beach or mountain view. But river View was a new experience for us. Thank you and success

I stayed for 2 nights with my kid. The room look old but quite clean. The hotel land is very wide and have bicycle track, which was my son enjoyed the most. The staff were friendly. Breakfast need more improvement for variety of menu and taste of the food in the restaurant.

This place was off the beaten track I think. It was a very pleasant place to stay at. Quiet and peaceful. The staff were all very accommodating in spite of their challenges in speaking English. Then again, this is not your normal foreign touristy stop so it’s understandable. We are visitors to their country. The least we can do is try to speak a few words in their language, or speak broken English or speak it slowly. And then there’s google translate. I would never give bad reviews because local staff does not speak English. Neither should anybody. In any case, I loved that the place was clean and comfortable. Lots of activities to engage in. The plot it sits on is undulating so be ready for a bit of up and down walking. There’s a river where you can hire a boat to do some river rafting just below the swimming pool area. The restaurant’s breakfast buffet is great. I’ll take Asian breakfast buffets any day! Almost always a great variety! From fruits, breads, soups, rice, noodles, etc. The restaurant itself has an open plan and is open to the elements. Very fresh! And the fresh juices are so good! We mostly stayed inside the hotel compound exploring and just enjoying its amenities. All away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and traffic of the city. Great place for families too.

Had a wonderful time staying at This hotel.

Puri Asri is a lovely gardened oasis in a busy city. The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot to do there, especially for families. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. The room was clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Leuk hotel in het natuurlijk gebeurd. Vlakbij centrum. Goede breakfast en personnel’s. Goede fasiliteiten.

I'm trying to get my childhood memories by stay there for 3d2n on this Christmas holiday. Surprisingly It is the same hotel which I visit 10 years ago and it's also didn't have 'anything' change (in a bad way). Toilet smells old. The blanket had a stain and make me think twice before used it. I booked the superior lake view, and it's near the bamboo bushes. The sound of the river make a calm mood but one thing I'll take it as minus was, I found 3 big spider inside my room. One in the bathroom, one beeneth the curtain and last one walk around the floor On the second day I stayed, the water heater didn't work. They wrote information that we need to wait 2-3 minutes before the water take heat. But after 30mnt it's didn't change at all The air conditioner was not cold. I think it's because the cupboard block the air conditioner and there's also mosquito on the room. They good things is there's a beautiful view and also garden on the hotel, the swimming pool also great, they also offer you a flying fox and rafting activities

The hotel is build on an excellent location, the estate is on a slope facing the Progo river with rice paddy on the other side of the river and Mt. Sumbing in the background. Despite being close to nature, the hotel is only few minutes away from Alun-alun, Magelang city center. The rooms are scattered in small clusters all over the large estate. The standard rooms are rather small, maybe due to the 'typical local style' interior design - respectively the bathroom is similar as well. Cleanliness is not perfect, so do call in if you find there is something not clean - but due to the closeness to nature you can't prevent the ants and insects in the room. While the rooms are more local type of hotel (so please lower your expectations), the main restaurant 'Pringgodani' provides 5 star service, and provides a pretty views especially from the patio. Curiously, the hotel is not trying to offer their services and facilities - while normally hotels are trying hard to sell their services, here there is barely any information provided and you really need to ask for it. They have aside of a swimming pool a lot of other activities from Spa to Flying Fox to ATV to rafting in the Progo River. The latter is highly recommended. It seems (at least when we were there) the hotel mainly caters for groups so it can be full one day and totally empty the next. Tip, ask for rooms nearee to the river.

Was a nice resort. Great property but food have lots of flies which can try to improve. Overall experience was good. They have a river in the resort where you can walk and do some activities. Swimming pool have a water slide but is not quite cleaned. There were many leaves. If cleaned, all is good. Would stay here again.

I spend four nights here. I booked the hotel via booking hotel for executive room and when we arrived, the FO staff suggested me to change to new executive room with only 100-200K extra per night (we stayed during peak season of Ramadhan and Lebaran days), of course we took it and also ordered extra bed. The surroundings ambience was very nice, we love to had breakfast in the morning and could saw mountain from our seat. Nasi Goreng was one of the best menu here, also they provide Jamu. Unfortunately they did not change menu of breakfast since we stayed here 4 nights and we have same menu everyday :). My children also loved the playground, although some bikes need to be repaired. After all, it was a beautiful experience to stay in this hotel.

this is a hotel meant for families, the hotel has villa and bungalow concept so every room is facing either garden or road. They have various activities for everyone in the family, they have huge children playground, mini bike rides, giant chess board, basket ball field, badminton field, traditional games such as enggrang, bakiak, or tarik tambang. They also have rafting, flying fox and atv but you have to pay extra for those activities. The room was a bit old and heater was so so, but on average it was clean and comfy. Yo can also enjoy your breakfast with beautiful scenery of mountain and paddy field, with birds chirping because they have pigeons house near the restaurant. Overall, it was truly unforgettable experience for us to stay there.

Facilities Staffs are very good. BTW hotel location is very far from the airport.

Room was old and small room. AC not cold. The room has ants and spider web

Certainly not a 4 star hotel judging by room standard......very basic and Spartan. However, delightful staff, nice pool, nice restaurant

Je ne qualifierais pas d in hotel 5 etoiles mais nous avons bien apprecie notre sejour. Ce qui nous a le plys marqué est dans contre dit la vue exceptionnel sur le mont merapi de notre chambre a couché.

We requested an executive room with a king bed, but the first room that we saw had only a queen bed by American standards. And the rooms were tiny with very little living space in the room. They said that to get king bed, we'd have to pay more per night. Finally, they showed us a small suite that had 2 queen beds. We made do with the suite for the same price. We had lots of big ants in the bathroom the first night, but they sprayed and they didn't return. Although, we did have a roach another night. The room also smelled like mothballs, however supposedly this was a deodorizer for Indonesia. They took all of them out and eventually the smell went away after I sprayed with a Lysol spray that I took with us. Breakfast was free and they tried but it wasn't an American breakfast by any means. Dinner at the restaurant was not up to American standards either but I don't know that they get many American travelers. The staff seemed to want to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

menyenangkan. pelayanan dan kebersihan hotel sangat diutamakan oleh kru Puri Asri Hotel. saya berlibur bersama anak kecil dan orang tua. kita semua senang

This is a great hotel to stay at when you plan to visit Borobudur. We had a wonderful room with a view of the mountain and river. It was very quiet and peaceful. The staff was nice and friendly. They provided a good variety of food for breakfast. Nice big pools for adults and children. Easy to get to Artos Mall which has a nice food court, KFC and Bread Talk. There are a lot of good local restaurants in Magelang. Our favorites were Pringgading and AA. It is easy to get around, the hotel provides a shuttle and you can get a taxi easily.

Seru bisa bermain di Hotel Puri Asri. Selain itu di Hotel Puri Asri pemandangannya indah dan ada bebek.

hotel with garden, river and mountain view, feels like back to the nature
