Here for a family wedding on 12/9/26 and it was perfect. All staff friendly and welcoming, excellent service throughout.

Only small thing & it wasn't a problem, shower mat in bathroom was a bit dirty, could have been a lot cleaner.

Just a nice hotel

I stayed here for one night to try to break up the hideous drive from one end of the country to the other. I arrived tired and grumpy, but I was very happy to find that this hotel is a gem. The room was well-appointed, verging on luxury - I've stayed in supposed 5-star hotels with worse bathrooms! - and the restaurant food at dinner was (as other reviewers say) very good indeed. But what made this place stand out was the staff: friendly, cheerful and helpful, without exception. Sent on my way this morning with a top-class cooked breakfast too. I'll be back!

A very small niggle: it's close to the motorway. That makes it a great transit hotel but you can hear the road noise outside. But only outside: the sound insulation in the building is very good.

Some signs showing where to stop for check in and where to park and which door to open for the rooms would have made it easier to onboard.

Lovely hotel, which offered great value for money. I booked a classic family room for £1 more than a double, and it gave me an extra bit on the side room with sofa and table. I normally would stay in a premier inn or similar, but this was less expensive, and better quality by far. Thank you.

My only 2 small criticisms (and they are minor!) are 1. There was some cracking to the ceiling above the bath, which would have been easily fixed with some filler and a lick of paint. This didn’t upset me, it’s just one of those attention to detail things. And 2. The lift didn’t match the hotel. As silly as that sounds, the hotel has an upmarket feel to it, and is very luxurious, but the lift is rattly, old, and slow. Time for upgrade me thinks. However, as I say, this didn’t detract from my stay, just made me think.

It was very warm overnight and opening the window brought road traffic noise into the room.

Excellent comfortable rooms as always. Great location for EV drivers (like me), with large number of fast chargers in the hotel car park.

The normally excellent breakfast on this occasion was not great. Poached eggs were virtually hard boiled & black pudding had been cooked until rock solid. Was tight for time otherwise would have complained.

The property was clean and modern. It was an excellent standard and located centrally to enable us to visit people and places south of Glasgow.

On arrival was given our rooms, on entering the room had not been cleaned since previous occupant, popcorn everywhere, dirty dishes, bed that someone just got out of, bathroom had no loo paper and all towels used in the shower, I complained and was given another room on the 1st floor. When I booked I made them aware of dietary requirements. Went for evening meal, the person who seated us said there was plenty of vegan choice on the menu, but there was not, either tempura vegetables or thai curry, i chose the tempura and it was advertised and served with chips and a dip, but they were not vegan so it came with a TINY dribble of chilly sauce, the meal was tasteless and bland, No Desert on Menu, AFTER we had our meal I was then told there was a separate vegan menu. Breakfast was similar, only butter available and no dairy milk alternatives, they had a week to drive 1 mile to Tesco and get a carton of soy or almond and a tub of margarine, but obviously too much trouble. the ramekin of beans was so small i counted them , 18 beans, mushrooms came so over seasoned it was dripping with salt and pepper, so only dry toast and no cereals at buffet. In 2026 we expect more, we are charged the same as regular guests, yet we are treated like 3rd class citizens, We travel with work regularly, but will not be going back there.

The bathroom having to climb into bath for shower never had a room before without walk in shower as I find it difficult climbing into a bath. We enjoyed our stay apart from those problems.

Brilliant location, friendly staff, amazing restaurant and drinks selection I would also highly recommend the steak here!

The only thing I was disappointed with was the breakfast and the fact we were in room 10, this is due to the breakfast being very small for a full Scottish breakfast, also the reason behind room 10 not being great is that when the hallway door is shut it rattles the hotel room door when people go in and out of the hallway, it wasn't an issue after It was reopened, lovely stay in general, would stay again and recommend!

Our mattresses were old and worn out, sagging in the middle, not at all comfortable. Our room was on the ground floor and people coming from the car park could see straight in. Net curtaining is essential in that room. If the curtains were closed, the room lighting was very poor.

Arrived and error with the type of room, booking was double/twin room. Young lady on desk (Jo?) was excellent, sorted it out while we had a great meal in the restaurant and changed the room and it was a great room and lovely view. She was just so helpful and did a great job. Beautiful hotel, clean, smart, staff were all helpful and polite. Far exceeded what I expected.

Rooms too hot, no air conditioning, noisey as they cater for weddings, receptionist was not helpful,l asked about a meal, said the restaraunt was closed, no offer of help, she could have said there was still time to get room service meal!

Stay here all the time and never disappoints. Big car park and lovely rooms.

Brilliant hotel and ideal location just off the M74. The room was spotlessly clean, very spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and went the extra mile to make my stay exceptional. The breakfast choice was very extensive. The hotel is a wedding venue and when I arrived there was a wedding reception in full swing. I thought I was going to be be disturbed by nose, but I honestly couldn't hear a thing in my room.

There was a very noisy wedding party going on but they upgraded us to a suite so we would be as comfortable and quiet as possible. It was still noisy until 1am but the beautiful room was a nice compensation

The hotel was fine and as expected.

We didn't get any sleep due to the noise around the hotel from the many different functions happening. It was like party central. We were competing at the local race circuit and choose the hotel due to its location. Had I know it was full of events I would not have booked. I had a child with me and he didn't get any sleep. People were partying and running up and down the corridors most of the night on both evenings. Surely night staff should be monitoring this to stop this from happening.

The room was unfortunately close to the event room making it quite noisy for us when others went past to get to their rooms and the music felt like it was blaring

Very welcoming and the rooms/facilities were of a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable and I loved the walk in shower. Outstanding breakfast and yummy biscuits in the room. Location was perfect for me.

When you have a wheelchair or stroller you have to go out of the hotel to get to the restaurant. Not very good if you have s bad weather spell.

Loved the venue, location, cocktails, and pina colada is to die for. Very spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved the deep bath, so relaxing. Beautiful grounds, especially with a water feature and bridge.

No nibbles are available in the evening with cocktails, only crisps, pity! The ceiling had some cobwebs, which could do with a proper clean. The poached eggs were overcooked, no runny yolk!

I suffer with Fibromyalgia, so struggle to walk.I fell outside my room. As the carpet wasn't fitted right,so I had to wear my knee brace just incase I fell again. I did mention it to the cleaners that the carpet wasn't fitted right and all bumpy outsiders 4 and 5.

This is a wedding venue that hold wedding parties in the reception area When checking in the receptionist cannot be heard over the noise. The suits are used as partying rooms all night. I was put in a room net to a suite and got absolutely no sleep at all.

Note: this is a wedding hotel 4/7 days a week and we were kept awake 12-2am by noisy wedding guests in corridors and rooms around us. Not conducive to a long drive the next day.

The Hotel was spotless and the whole team of staff very polite and helpful.

My pillow was disgustingly dirty with various stains - it should have been binned long ago - night staff gave me an alternative which was clean but not comfortable - this affected my nights sleep

Me and my son booked a stay as we were at Larkhall kart Circuit, on arrival we were upgraded to the Lopez suite and it was excellent, food was also excellent and the lady serving us Lorraine went over and above to make me and my sons meal perfect, Lorraine even had a packed breakfast made for my sons meal as we were leaving early in the morning.

Location & Take Fast Charges make for a good transit stop

Underwhelming staff, lack of attention in restauran. 1st drink when ordering on menu did not arrive till starter & Waited for a beer ordered on food delivery arrived when meal finished, they were not busy, not focused and gossiping. Yet three staff at the empty bar next door! A dirty Bathroom (seemed disabled type) Foamy Shampoo and soap still on shower wall from previous occupiers! ‘Acceptable’ for a quick ‘necessary’ business overnight but not it I was touring/ holidaying!

Clean, comfortable, good food, better than the average 'transit' hotel.
