Phuket Jula Place

I booked in here at no notice after another hotel fouled up. The front of desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very nice for the price, everything clean and working. There is adequate on site parking. But try to book a room at the rear of the property; mine at the front suffered from traffic noise.

Cozy room and nice balcony. Stayed here for 1 whole month, good location. 15 min drive to Ni Harn, Kata and Karon beaches. Shopping malls and convenience stores nearby. Very close to chalong pier, quite area.

Godt sted. Man får meget for pengene. Super service !!!

... close to Chalong Pier to access divw boats, taxis, resturants, shops and great place for evening walks. ATMs, Cash Exchangers are numerous. Dive shops are within walking distances. Motor bikes are available nearly on demand. Jula place is well kept, nice movies recycling so one misses nothing. Many resturants are hidden or not so easily located. Further, crossing main district streets should be done with care. Note: steering is generally from the left side of vehicles, and the drivers side is closest to the curve in the direction of travel. Multiple motor bikes during business hours make getting around a lill challenge. I'm scheduled to return to Jula Place after one week in Lembongan, Indo. Cool beans!

In the room have a shower. Water and coffee is free. The swimming pool is nice . The room is big with a fridge. Have a big bed. cleaning was not perfect because we do not remove the ants in the microwave. for a day and a half we did not have internet.

Super friendly staff who go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Rooms are well kept, very clean and well equipped. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and services close by. Looking at some of the unhappy reviews here I can't help but wonder if they have the correct/same hotel..? I come to Chalong quite a bit for my work and I always stay at Jula Place. I have never had anything but exceptionally good service and experience. Did I already mention that the staff is extremely friendly and helpful?

I lived here for a month and really liked it, only minus was that they were renovating so some mornings I was forced to wake up already at 8am. Night guard is the cutest and sweetest ever as his wife! ❤️

Great hotel, good location (to be in chalong, which honestly is a super boring area of phuket), good price for the offer but if you stay for long time (I stayed for 3 weeks): .they don't even give you toilet paper (O_o why???) .you'll be charge in the end with the electricity (no one told me that when I booked) .you won't have your room cleaned (or new towels, coffee for the machine, water in the fridge, dishes cleaned, bed done) every day, just twice a week, in the days they choose (O_o why???) .I've never had coffee for the machine, or sugar, or water. not even those 2 times a week they came in my room (is not important, I know, is just a sign thou) .so many times I didn't find the receptionist, never seen her/him actually doing something, always on youtube, found them sleeping, I've been waiting for my keys sometimes for 10 minutes without the chance to call anybody .just one person in the bar (which is very good), and the kitchen is totally separated, so if you ask something and there is someone else ordering (or someone just ordered) you know that you'll wait for at least 20 minutes .not too bad overall, but the guest service is the thing I found EXTREMELY LACKING (I see so much potential in this good hotel...all wasted by the guest service)

This is a very good priced no frills place but is actually very cool Asian style with nice mini bar, bed, shower, and AC...what more do you need. Right down from harbor so good place to stay if going out on dive boat.

I stayed here in February 2012, and the hotel was very clean, modern, and great value. The pool was wonderful to get relief from the hot days! The hotel itself is close to Chalong Bay, and is good if you want connections to activities like scuba diving, and other water activities. If you're looking for a beach, you might want to look elsewhere on the island. But this particular place was perfect!

I stayed at Jula Place before joining a trip from the Chalong Pier. Very comfortable apartment right by the main 'road circle'. Recommend going to small nite market nearby for awesum pad thai for 84baht!! Having to hand in key everytime seemed like a pain but was really good not to have to carry it around.

Nice big room spotlessly clean . Staff exceptionally attentive. Situated very near Chalong Pier . Plenty of restaurants nearby and taxis to take you further afield, Be aware there are at least 3 floors and no lift. Rooms in front noisy if sitting on balcony . Highly recommended.

Can't recommend Jula Place highly enough. Nice big room with large fridge and microwave . Bathroom was great and hot water plentiful. . The staff were extremly helpful and went out of their way to make my holiday trouble and stress free. Recommend a room NOT overlooking the street. The traffic is plentiful and noisy although the closed windows certainly kept most of the noise out. It just was rather unpleasant sitting on the balcony. Rooms overlooking the pool would be better. I never managed to sit by the pool as I was never there at the right time to find the sun. It looked very clean and welcoming though. Very near Pier and local restaurants.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week , rooms were clean , staff were friendly and it was a great location for me . Thought the price of room was reasonable , Loved the little coffee shop at the front to have breakfast and watch the world go by . The waitress was very pleasant and helpful . I will be back again.

Great place to sleep, the room is big, beautiful ocean views. Service better than expected. A swimming pool is small but very comfortable. Choice of food is not great but very nice porcije. Reception who is always ready to help.

Nice hotel with clean rooms, good service and free working wi-fi. The staff proactively carried my heavy luggage to my room which was a nice bonus after a long flight. Jula Place has so far been the most bang for your buck place to stay in Chalong area. It's a easy walk to the pier and boats, and nearby mall and there are plenty of bars and restaurants around. I will definitely stay again.

I am travelling now for over two years and this is one of the most beautiful and reasonable hotels I ever visited. it is located in the area of Chalong where many dive centres and touristic restaurants are located. room with balcony and aircon, clean, enough space, tv and a small kitchen with microwave and fridge.free WifI. a swimming pool is there, too. I booked via agoda. rent a motobike and explore the island.

This was the best place to stay if you are going to spend time Scuba Diving in Chalong. Its a easy walk to the pier and boats and there are plenty of bars and restaurants around. the room was 100% more then I expected.....I will defiantly stay again

I booked this hotel because my husband is a kitesurfer and I thought this would be close to where he would surf. It wasn't, but we don't regret staying there. Pros: - Clean, comfortable rooms with nice hot showers and cable TV (although only two channels were in English) - One of the staff members was extremely friendly and helpful (called tours and drivers for us) - Although not included, breakfast options were sufficient and tasty - Not around all the touristy craziness of Phuket - Walking distance to the pier and some restaurants down that road (and what seemed like many prostitute hang-outs, but I guess that's Phuket!) Cons - Hotel driver is a bit pricey and due to it's location, it was difficult to find other taxis sometimes, although they do have motorcycles to rent - Located on very busy street - our room was over the street and it was pretty noisy at night. If you get a back room, this shouldn't be a problem. - As stated above, breakfast not included. - There are 711s and supermarkets around, but not many decent restaurants.

Only stayed one night, ok the view is good out the back but for that price theres much better value around, beds are hard, staff show no interest, its noisy from the traffic as its on the main road, the air con blows right down on the bed and thats fine mid day when its hot but not at night, location is only good if you need to be right in chalong, beside the circle.

We stayed here for four nights with two adults and four kids. We were worried initially as we had ants in our room, but after complaining they changed our rooms and made sure they were very clean. The staff was excellent, I can't say enough about them. There is a lovely pool behind the hotel that my kids loved swimming in. The food at the cafe downstairs was good and there is a great pizza place just down the street across from the hotel. It is not near the beaches (on the west side if the island) and the taxis are a bit expensive (for Thailand prices) but if you want to stay in Chalong this is an excellent place to stay. It is cheaper for the hotel to pick you up from the airport than for a minivan at the airport. My only complaint is that the mattresses were a firmer than we would have liked.

We stayed at Jula place for 3 nights on our vacation to Phuket (Chalong). They picked us up at the airport (for a fee). They owner and the guy who picked us up the airport were very friendly. They made us feel welcome the entire time and always asked about our stay. The room was clean and breakfast decent (not included). We enjoyed our stay. However there is room for improvements: 1. The girl at the front desk was too BUSY doing facebook to help us out. We had to stand there for a little while and wait until she was done with her facebook. 2.The AC in the room could be moved to a different location to allow people to sleep ;). The other staff (besides owner and cool guy driver) need to be trained to be more polite and friendly. 3. They did not have any information nor maps of the area. Facebook front desk girl tried to give us a map in russian lol. They need to have little useful information for guests about the area. Tip: Wake up early, go to the front of hotel, walk to your right about 3 blocks, then make a left towards the pier and go see a quiet and beautiful sunrise.

My family visited Phuket on November for relaxation and my yoga class. This hotel is conveniently located near chalong circle which is close to one of the shopping mall and many eating stall. It is close to two vegetarian food stalls as well. since we are not for shopping, this place is excellent. It is clean and staffs are very helpful. From my room, can even see the big Buddha. Excellent.

I went to Phuket to relax, and found out that Jula Place was the place to be! Clean and spaceous rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. I also rented a motorbike from them at a standard price (THB 200 per day). Patong Beach is onn the other side of the Island, which is a half hour drive with a motorbike. But there are many other places of interest nearer to the hotel. It's near the famous Big Buddha of Phuket, for example. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Phuket!

I have just stayed here for a week while in Phuket based on reviews of accommodation I've seen here - thanks to all for guiding me towards Jula Place! A great place to stay and will definately stay again. The staff were friendly and efficient, my room immaculate and comfortable, and the pool simple but perfect for cooling off and relaxing beside on those hot days. The room was cleaned and linen changed daily, there is a decent sized fridge to keep supplies, and a balcony for R&R. Nice touch with available robes and slippers too. There are all sorts of conveniences nearby (1-5 mins walk) including stores, eaterys, street food and markets, info and tour booking places, taxi's, and the Chalong Pier just around the corner. I found a little internet place on the corner from Chaofa East Road down towards the pier where they were really helpful with bookings and giving me good deals on things I wanted to do. Great place to stay and very affordable in a nice area.
