Gemini House Bed & Breakfast

The host were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean.

The smell if the seaweed since we were so choose to the beach. The fruit was spoilt. The incorrect information given about the taxi and the fact that one price was given then additional amount was requested.

The o Owners were very friendly i loved staying there they made you feel at home and the breakfast was great.

Nothing was amiss

The lady who ran the place was incredible.we had a very nice time

I

Lovely stay and best breakfast we had in the 8 caribbean countries we visited. They baked us home-made bread and mango jam with an omelette and fruit! So delicious! Slept with the windows open to the sound of the waves. Amazing and lovely owners! We will return if we are ever in Barbados again. THANK YOU!

Directions were thorough The host were on hand at all times and very helpful with our lugguage and welcome spiel. The guest entrance is through a large garden leading to a small patio area. Fridge and water provided. Keys to secure the room. My mother was able to rest a while and more comfortably than in the airport as she was unwell. A short walk from the property is one shop and the Ocean Spray appartments, where we were able to get a half decent lunch and some Bajan history from the owners dsughter Host reduced charge for our few hours of stay.

We were only staying for the afternoon during our 11 hr airport transfer. The property is located 15-20mins drive from the airport in a very quiet residential area. We were dropped off by taxi and entered by the back entrance. I found this entrance a little untidy and not fresh smelling. The guest entrance is through a large garden leading to a small patio area and is much more appealing. There is not much of a view from the windows and not much to do locally. Host asked for payment to be settled before we had even settled. The room is in a shared house, I assume we had access to the ktichen if needed but there was no coffee/ kettle in the room, a fridge with water provided, though this was outside of the room. Our shared toilet was blocked and flooded after one use so we had to use the other ensuite bathroom which was just being vacated by other guest and left open and accessible with the guests personal belongings inside. I had already succumb to paying less as the whole facility/stay did not meet good standards so we left earlier than planned.

Steve & Geri are terrific hosts, and the kind of people you want to meet when you’re travelling. They were very welcoming and accommodating, and fun to talk to. The B&B location is both convenient for arrivals, and well-placed for a walk along the southern coast beaches. The decor of the room is also well-suited to provide character. Enjoyed the breakfast.

Had a layover and got in after 1 am and the host was patiently waiting....nice breakfast provided, serene neighborhood... would definitely recommend

My stay here was perfect. The hosts were lovely, welcomed me and made sure I had transportation. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

No complaints

The high point of my stay was meeting the owners. They create a very friendly ambiance that gives the feeling of being a guest in their home. They gave me great advice about places to visit, things to do, and things to watch out for in Barbados that really enhanced my stay.

Gutes Frühstück, ruhige Lage. Geri und Steve waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Great service

Geri and Steve were amazing hosts. I initially chose this place because I was arriving late and it was nearby the airport. I asked a glutton of questions and Geri gave me insight into local culture, transport, money, places to see and avoid, and many other tips that make it look like I had been living there for years.

I love that this property is within a neighborhood - far away from tourists and loud music. The hosts were exceptional and the property was just as described. You will want to hire a private driver to get into town if you’re not a fan of public transportation. Just an FYI—they have a cat. I didn’t see it or smell it, but if you have allergies, you might want to find another location. I would stay here again!!

Lovely hosts, great breakfast. Enjoyable stay.

A long way out of town, but convenient for the airport. Beware of crazy local bus drivers coming back late at night.

There were cobwebs all over, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Hair was under the bed like someone in the room and it never got cleaned. We were served with dirty forks, rusty spoons. Do better.

The utensils were filthy and rusty, there was fur all over. Nasty, place wasn't clean, fur on her clothes while serving people. I do not recommend. My partner and I left early and came back late.

The friendly welcome from the owner

Super lovley and kind hosts. It's a nice and lovley place and also in a good and quiet location and we definitely would come back! Thank you for everything Geri and Steve!

The b&b was quiet, comfortable, and close to both the sea and a convenience store. The owner is a lovely person who genuinely cared about my experience and who made a wonderful breakfast.

Lovely host Just perfect for our stopover on our way to Bequia

Hosts are very nice and helpful. Breakfasts are lovely. Property and amenities could be refreshed.

Gemini House was a grest stay, the owners were very acommodating and very attentive to our needs. It was just a short stay as we were in transit. Great customer service.

We adored this quiet, beautiful bed & breakfast - and, even more so, adored our hosts Gerry and Steve. They were so welcoming and made our stay so personel and perfect. Loved it - thank you so much guys!!

The people who run this little B&B are so sweet that I hate to say anything negative. And normally, for small things, I would let it go. But this place needs some serious work. Shabby old towels, shabby and threadbare stained sheets, dirty corners everywhere. If someone would just clean it properly, it would improve the experience exponentially. But there were good things about it too-- the lovely proprietress, the homemade breakfast (and tea from a cup that was horribly stained on the inside though 😩), the natural breezes and location.

The host were welcome and the service was great. And the breakfast was make with a lot of love.

Was the best stay we could have asked for. Geri made amazing breakfasts each morning and gave us all the information we could have asked for to help us on our days of adventure around the island. Would 100% recommend this place for all travelers.

Lovely surroundings and views. Excellent breakfast

Not easy to find

Steve and Geri were wonderful! Geri even had breakfast for us early as we had a flight to catch. The location was great - bus service into town and close to the beach, away from Bridgetown.

The place is exactly what is described and what is expected. What really made a different was the wonderful host. It was such a pleasure to meet her and spend some time with her.

The location was great and Geri gave us good directions and her and her husband were very friendly and helpful with the luggage. The breakfast was wonderful and all of our conversations with her were such fun. There was a local pub nearby for dinner and it was delicious also. We would recommend this B&B to all.

Nothing......liked it all.

The owners are so friendly and kind. Geri's homemade bread is sooo healthy and delicious. I would definitely love to come back here for my authentic Barbados holidays. Hearing the waves and the birds outside my window plus the rain made it such a restful place for the body and soul. Mingling with the locals is very easy as they're sooo funny and welcoming

The facility was very uncomfortable and unsanitary. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming.

Jerry is an entertaining and friendly host with lots of insights about the island. Nice to be able to walk to the beach. Good AC helped us sleep well.

Excellent service great breakfast this is an airbnb which is good a simple one night stay is good also very good for one or two persons , walking distance to the beach and near the airport , comfortable room , mini tv but bathroom is amazing we recommend this place , host is like a mom

Location was very good

No issues

It's a lovely property, well maintained and has a really nice vibe. The host was excellent, great customer service.

The gracious hospitality of the hosts and the delicious breakfast with freshly baked biscuits make this place a perfect spot for stopovers and stays. Close to the beach and a quick drive to the airport yet it's easy to take the #11 bus from here to the center of Bridgetown.

Loved the manager

I liked everything

This is my second stay at this location. Both times were absolutely enjoyable. Great atmosphere and conversation.

It was horrible. It’s not what it shows in the picture. And I need a refund back I did not stay there or went on Books somewhere else

Very quiet. Nice area but remote. Less facilities for dining.

Proprietor was lovely and very accommodating, short safe walk to the beach and resort for dinner. So peaceful listening to the waves and birds.

Host was very welcoming and pleasant, would definitely visit again….. breakfast was always delicious

Everything very comfortable although the bed creaked with every movement. We loved the overhead shower. The hostess, Gerry, was most gracious and entertaining. A good homemade breakfast.

Excellent stay!

We were very well welcomed and treated. Breakfast was good with home made things. You can see they care for you and want you to have a good time. Near the airport by taxi, we stayed on night for transit.

The bed and pillows were not great. The bathroom was not very well cleaned : the cups to brush the teeth had toothpaste from someone else, the soap holder in the shower was full of soapy water from someone else and there were some hairs also not ours. They also advertise the room as having access to kitchen items and that is not the case. When I made the booking I had that in consideration because I wanted to be able to cook dinner since we were coming from Bequia (ferry plus flight) and were going to arrive too late to find restaurants and etc open.

a good home made breakfast

tiny bedroom only suitable for a single, very dirty bathroom had squeaky bed pushed in a corner so not easy to get out if you were on the inside. Very over priced. Left as soon as we could the next morning. I very costly mistake as no compensation. Rebooked for rest of our stay in a much better place which was clean and comfy and not over priced.

Very nice people and a lovely home-made breakfast, but the room was too small. Should only have had a single bed in it and the bathroom was dirty. Supposed to stay five nights left the next morning. Would’ve left the night before, but it was too late to find somewhere else.

It was freshly cooked and served by Geri, including home made bread and jam. She had reached out to us beforehand with advice about how to find a taxi at the airport, and booked one for us the following day.

Geri was so nice and accommodating to me as a quick layover guest. She provided exactly what I needed .

A peaceful escape on a bustling island. Geri is a wonderful host and cook and we felt very welcome! We had two weeks near Rockley Beach and the two nights here were a perfect way to relax at the end of our trip. Geri has had an interesting life and I loved hearing about her experiences!

The toilet was broken and could not flush. The sink was dirty and clogged. The shower knob was broken. We could not differentiate between cold and warm water. The shower was clogged as well. Water accumulated while showering. A complete repair of the plumbing needs to be done.

Very quiet and short stroll to beach - lovely people!

Very convenient for an overnight stay between flights.

Geri and Steve were both wonderful hosts. Geri came to greet us and show us round when we arrived and pointed us to the local convenience store and bar which was very welcome after a long flight! The location is PERFECT for a nice chilled getaway, 15 mins drive from the airport and 5 min walk to the beach which was beautiful. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, big thanks to Geri! We only stayed the night but would have happily stayed longer!

Nothing - it was the perfect first place to stay on the island!

Great host. Delicious breakfast. Quiet. Short walk to beach. Reasonable price for Barbados. Close to airport.

Geri was absolutely lovely and it immediately felt like home from home. Wonderful breakfast and simple but comfortable room in a great location. Thank so very much!

It was great value- any improvements would be discussing a different class of hotel- this is a home and so as it is - it was perfect!

I was welcomed with open arms almost felt like I was visiting extended family. The area is safe and walkable down to the beach. The beach is more for surfers but it has its areas where you can get enjoy it. I was able to walk to the neighborhood store to pick up some snacks, drink etc. The room was clean with air conditioning. I got a good nights rest. Breakfast was very good specially after a run that I had taken around the neighborhood. It’s close to the airport and they helped with my transportation to the airport. I would stay here again and the hospitality was excellent.

Very warm and friendly owner - gives you all the info on the property and lets you do your own thing

I was flying from London to Bequia but my transatlantic flight to Barbados was re scheduled meaning I would miss my connection. I had to stay the night in Barbados and needed just a room for 1 near the airport. Found Gemini B&B for a reasonable rate and booked for 1 night. Was welcomed on arrival by Geri after have received excellent instructions regarding getting a taxi from the airport. I was shown to the room which had a big firm bed, tv, ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bathroom and toilet was next door which I had sole use of. Geri booked me a cab for the morning back to the airport and made me breakfast of an omelette, toast, juice, fruit and coffee. The room provided me with everything that I needed at a very reasonable price. My only suggestion would be to de-scale or replace the shower head as it was a bit clogged up. Overall, an excellent stay and recommended. Many thanks to Geri and Steve.

I had to share a little fridge with another guest.

Very safe and quiet neigbourhood

Perfect little place for a short lay over. The breakfast was very good. You couldn’t ask for a more friendly helpful host.

Location was lovely, it is close to the sea!

Nothing it was great for us!

Fantastic quiet and safe location for overnight stay between flights. Great to be able to have a walk along the beach and coast before breakfast. Easy taxi ride from airport and hosts sent good instructions. Great home cooked breakfast on patio with sound of the ocean. Enjoyed chatting with Geri. Bed comfortable and room had both air conditioning and overhead fan. Bathroom had what was needed, a little worn but not a problem. As a solo female Traveller felt very safe and nice to be staying somewhere away from the tourist resorts. Perfect for what I wanted.

Exceptional , hosts were very friendly and accommodating .

Nothing

We enjoyed our one night stay at Gemini House. The room was comfortable with AC and ensuite bathroom. View of the ocean. A wonderful breakfast and the highlight was meeting our hosts. Very much enjoyed talking with them. Would stay again.

The breakfast was very delicious and unique. The persons were very welcoming and loving.

Excellent night’s stay, Jerry and partner were very friendly and hospitable. I felt comfortable and safe.

Gertie and her husband were very helpful and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Excellent stay and a good breakfast each day. I had to extend my stay a couple days and they were very accommodating.

The property was close to the airport and the functions I needed to attend. It was in a safe area and the hosts were warm and inviting. They made sure we were well looked after and were always courteous. We had a good breakfast too.We will stay there again at anytime.

My stay at Gemini House has been great, My mom and I found the breakfast was fabulous daily. The host was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed hearing the sea and watching the birds in the mornings while having breakfast. The environment was clean and cozy and I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a homelike environment.

One of my biggest peeve about this place were the flies, however, they were only outside.

Excellent location, close to the airport and close to the sea and the ocean. Walking less than 5 minutes you reach the sea, and there is a nice sea view from the beautiful garden of the house. Very quiet and peaceful area. Safe. Very nice hosts, trying to feel you home. Steven and Geri, big thank you!!! The breakfast prepared by Geri was wonderful.

The host and hostess are very nice friendly and helpful people. Everything went well and I enjoyed my visit to Barbados.

Excellent experience, the host is the best!! 100 percent recommend!

Steve and Geri were wonderful hosts and it was nice chatting with them. I had a lovely but brief layover. I really enjoyed sitting on their front porch catching the breeze, hearing the waves, and watching the hummingbirds dart around. The breakfast was great too!

Very friendly and helpful host. Location serviced well by local buses.

A lovely, quiet neighbourhood. We’ll appointed room, great breakfast, and friendly hosts.

my second stay at Gemini. friendly welcome, quiet area, and yummy breakfast.

Great location, close to the beach and the airport

The couple who is running the B&B are lovely. Very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay very much. Easy to access from the airport and the breakfast was lovely.

We were only there for one night but had an amazing time. Went to the local rum bar which was great. Geri our host was fantastic would thoroughly recommended Gemini House

Friendly owner, comfortable bed and bathroom.

Common areas, breakfast and kitchen areas quite grubby.
