What a treasure to stay at Villa Beach Cottage! The staff was so welcoming - evidence of a family owned business that gives the personal touch. The cottage was very well equipped and clean. They thought of everything including US power ports. Having a restaurant on site was so nice and food was great! We enjoyed our time celebrating our anniversary.
From the moment you arrive you are treated like family. Okay so maybe that's not entirely accurate, because you are looked after even before you arrive with transportation options, starter packages for your villa, concierge follow up, etc. Everyone is super friendly and attentive, never forgetting a name or preference. The onsite restaurant is fabulous for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Chef is truly amazing. The ladies in the office set everything up for you, from tours, to dinners, to transportation. Have them make the any resv. for you and you will get the best tables and service. Can't thank Colin enough for running this 5 star paradise, and all the employees who work hard everyday to keep it clean, beautiful and maliciously maintained. Already booked our week for next January on our way out.
A beautiful and scenic stay. The villas were amazing. Our Balcony was a stone throw from the ocean. We slept to the sound of the ocean, we enjoyed our morning coffee and our evening wine on the balcony, watching the cruise ships come into the port and then leave at sunset. The views were stunning. The accommodations were excellent. All the rooms in our villa were spacious; including the kitchen, balcony, bedroom and bathroom. All the amenities needed were there. The location was peaceful (other than the tree frogs and waves). The beach and the ocean was also top notch. We have stayed in many tropical places, but have never spent as much time in the ocean as we did here. It was gentle sloped fine sand, and waves were rarely big enough to intimidate. The owner, Colin and his staff were all exceptional, helpful and did everything to make everyone’s stay excellent. We felt pampered. They took care of excursions, taxi’s, trips to the grocery store. They had a small store on sight if you needed a bottle of wine or a cooking ingredient. The food at the small beach front restaurant on sight was also excellent; if it was not on the menu, just ask. The only negative thing was the Villa is located a few kms from either Rodney Bay or Castries, and walking was not available. Sidewalks were not available and the speed and volume of traffic was a bit scary for roadside walking. However A local bus service which looked like a 12 passenger van was a short walk away If our stay was longer we would have figured out how it worked. Recommendations for the villa would include; a few minor updates for the bathroom, a more modern shower and more counter space. Also an organized shuttle / ride share with other guest for getting to/from town, to avoid $50USD cab ride would go along way. We loved our stay and we plan to return!!!
This is a wonderful place. I traveled alone and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had a great trip. They planned special excursions for me so I could have the experiences I wanted. From the moment I arrived, everyone was so attentive and kind. The beach is lovely - it's right down the beach from a major resort chain but so much more authentic and a great value! Highly recommend.
This is a family run business that really looks after their guests. We stayed for 7 nights to allow us to explore the northern part of St Lucia’s west coast and were so pleased to have discovered and chosen Villa Beach. The welcome from staff was warm and genuine. We were greeted by name in reception every day and any request we made was responded to so helpfully. The proprietor Colin provided us with personal recommendations for restaurants and days out and we were fortunate enough to discover Mr Synesius Bisette on our second day. Mr Bisette is a local taxi driver who does lots of journeys for guests at Villa Beach and he made our trip extra special, advising us on timings for our trips and always being available to get us to our destination safely and on time. Mr Bisette is also very knowledgeable about the island and gave us some fascinating insights into the places we visited. If you stay at Villa Beach Cottages and need a driver then ask for ‘Bisette’, you wont regret it! Accommodation and general service at Villa Beach is great. Our room (room 1) was lovely and food at the on-site cafe/ restaurant was good. We recommend the chicken roti! Villa Beach Cottages is a perfect location from which to explore Castries, Rodney Bay and the surrounding areas. We were sorry to leave at the end of our stay, but grateful to all staff who looked after us so well.
We chose the Villa Beach Cottages in lieu of a bigger resort. It was a SUPER choice. The room was clean and beautiful, right off the pool and the beach. There was on site restaurant that had equally delicious meals to others. The staff were AWESOME. Very friendly and helpful- we never had to worry about anything. Our get away vacation was much needed and this place was the perfect place.
This is a truly amazing place. It is right on one of the best beaches on the island. The staff is wonderful. Lots of helpful security personnel around at all times. We went with another couple and stayed in a 2b/2b unit. Bedrooms are separated by living area so there is good privacy. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, etc. We are already planning a return trip.
This is one of the best Accomodations we have ever stayed. The staff are so friendly! The beds are hands down the most comfortable in the Carribean. Coconuts restraint is delicious. The rooms are right of Choc Beach which is perfect for kids jumping waves and learning to body surf. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to St Lucia.
We had a lovely stay at Villa Beach Cottages during our holiday in Saint Lucia. The property is beautifully located right on the beach, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that made our trip truly special. The cottages were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We especially appreciated the quiet beachfront setting and the easy access to the beach—it was perfect for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty of the island. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we would happily recommend Villa Beach Cottages to anyone looking for a calm, charming place to stay in Saint Lucia. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We stayed at Villa Beach Cottages five times and already booked our sixth stay for the 2026/2027 season. The reason is simple - you pay 3-start resort prices for the 5-star service and location. The island of Santa Lucia is volcanic and very mountainous, with a lot of steep hills and high, sharp, vertical banks. It does not have a lot of good sandy beaches. The Choko Bay is an exception, and Villa Beach Cottages has a nice piece of sandy beach. The resort is located in the Choko Bay, about 20 minutes drive from Castries - the capital of the island. The bay is known for being quiet, less crowded, and offering great sunset views. For us the most important feature of the resort was its closeness to the ocean. While other resorts have to use buses to bring people to the ocean, if you stay at Villa Beach Cottages you need to walk not more than 10 - 15 feet to get into the water. For swimming lovers Choko Bay is like a paradise - you can swim hours in one direction without encountering undercurrent or big waves. It is rather shallow - about 10–15 feet deep, it does not have any jelly fish or other nasty ocean creatures. The sun on Santa Lucia is quite soft comparing with other Caribbean islands like Aruba or Curaçao. The water is soft as well and does not require fresh water shower after the swimming in the ocean. The two-stories cottages are very convenient, the units are well-equipped with AC and all cooking amenities, microwave and refrigerator, so you could save a lot of money by cooking yourself. In 10 minutes you can walk to the next supermarket to get all you need for cooking a decent meal. Units have large terraces where you can sit and watch a beautiful sunset and the cruise ships that leaving the island. The personnel is very friendly and helpful, all problems are solved almost immediately. For example, the burned light bulb in the refrigerator was replaced in 10 minutes. The cottages surrounded by meticulously kept tropical flowers and kept in immaculate condition - everything is freshly painted and clean. However, you have to reserve it well in advance. Last year we did it in April for the December/January high season and could not get our usual room. It is quite competitive place, so do not put off your reservation!
My family and I have stayed at Villa Beach three times and we intend a fourth visit. This wonderful boutique hotel with it's warm and friendly team feel more like family. You are greeted with a smile and a hug that melts the months between visits. Nothing is too much for them and they are wonderfully helpful. In fact, it doesn't feel like a hotel but instead it feels like staying with your best friends. The rooms are large and very, very comfortable - It feels like your own slice of happiness. They are very tidy and the grounds are immaculate. In the evening you can sit on the balcony and watch a magnificent sunset and when the sun begins to go down, you can watch the cruise ships, lit up in their glory sail into the sunset. The restaurant and bar overlook the sea and the food is delicious. It is good, decent home cooked St. Lucian food that will satisfy the soul. But if you want to cook yourself, the rooms come with a kitchen and the property comes with it's own shop (Very useful when you run out of beer). The pool is nice and quiet where you can work on your tan and then take a dip to cool off. The pool isn't deep and it's great to cool off in. As for the beach - It's the kind of beach that you imagine Ursula Andress ("Dr.No.") coming out of and shaking her hair. The beach is immediately accessible and it's fun to ride the waves into shore. It's a beautiful bay without the normal tourist hustle and bustle. Villa Beach truly is a jewel in the crown of St, Lucia. It is also such good value for money - you get 5 star service for 3 star prices! I'm 53 and I've travelled extensively in my life and in my opinion Villa Beach is the best place I have ever stayed.
Our family of 6 stayed at Villa Beach Cottages for the second week of our holiday (first part at La Dauphine Estate). We absolutely loved it, Colin and the team were fantastic and were always so helpful. The rooms are spacious, beds super comfortable and the views from pretty much everywhere on the property are beautiful! It's also a great location from which to explore all the main attractions in the North of the island. The team clearly work hard to keep everything immaculate and a special shout out to the chefs in the kitchen. We ate at some great restaurants in St Lucia but I would say the food at the restaurant is right up there, so full of flavour! You are literally a few metres from the sea here, a perfect spot to relax with a Piton Beer or Rum Punch whilst the kids played in the waves :) Don't think I have ever taken so many pictures of sunsets but it's hard not to, you have to see it to believe it. Hope I am lucky enough to return one day!
We stayed (as a family) at Villa Beach Cottages over the Christmas holiday 2025. We very much enjoyed our stay there. We got the 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa. It was roomy and well equipped. Large bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, and dining area. It also had a nice patio (facing the water) which was quite enjoyable to have breakfast/coffee/read. It has a restaurant on site (serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner), plenty of beach chairs, and a beautiful beach directly off the hotel. There is also a nice walking beach right next to the property. What truly makes the hotel speical is the staff and owner. The staff is amazing. They are so kind and make you feel so welcome. I noticed a lot of people seemed to be returning customers and I see why. Kenisa (and the rest of the front desk staff ) can help you with anything you need. They helped us immensely with organizing tours, making dinner reservations, and securing taxis for us. We did not rent a car on the island so their guidance and help was greatly appreciated. Colin, the owner has many great recommendations on what to do on and where to eat on the island. They will also purchase food for you and have it waiting at your room when you arrive. Two of their regular taxi drivers (Claudius Amedee and Synesius Bicette) were both great. Really enjoyed both of them. Claudius took us on the longer tours and was so knowledgeable about the island. The property had a small, family vibe to it and we really enjoyed our stay there!
This is truly a family owned and run boutique property. All the staff are employed directly (No outsourcing) and you can really tell they all work together and care about the wellbeing of their guests. We met the owner (Colin) on our second day and he told us the history of the property and the island in general, in addition to a lot of great recommendations or things to do, see and eat on the island. We were in Villa #8 which is one of the older properties, but we would absolutely recommend. The villa was packed with everything you need (Kitchenette with an oven, large fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and every utensil you could need. The restaurant is very small but the food and cocktails were superb! There are a few local grocery stores that sell everything you need. As Brits no living in the US, we were impressed to see a great selection of American and British products. The stores are not tourist focused and packed with locals so no 'tourist trap' prices. The property is right on the water and includes your own little private balcony. The have a small dipping pool and then a larger pool with enough loungers for everybody. They also supply both villa towels and beach towels that they allow you take off the property for beach days and even have sea kayaks you can use for free to go and explore Rat island (Don't worry, there is no rats. Colin will explain why its called that). In addition to the onsite restaurant and bar, they have a small store to buy essentials, a laundry room (for a fee) and even a little library with books and games you can borrow for free. They also have 24hr security at the entrance. Our room was spotless and housekeeping will come in everyday (Unless you ask them not to). On our last couple of days, we could hear the kids in the villa above us stomping around, but it wasn't bad enough to ruin our stay. I would definitely recommend putting kids on the ground floor though in future. Overall, this beats the hell out of the larger commercial resorts. You get such an amazing personal experience. Whenever we went to reception or walked past some of the staff, they referred to us by our names and everybody was always happy to answer any questions we had and offer advice. In regards to St.Lucia in general, personally, we preferred the northern location. We took a day trip to the Soufriere area (Through the property, guided by one of their security team in a very nice vehicle) and although we had a great time, the southern region is much more touristy. We were happy to be back at the Villa beach cottages at the end of the day.
We LOVED staying in this locally owned location as it has much more character and tons more personal interactions than the large 'resort' adjacent (Sandals) appeared to offer (we did tour that facility and while it looks nice, it appeared very 'sanitized' from the character of the island in comparison). Villa Beach Cottages offered much more insight to the beautiful St. Lucian locals as the staff there is very family-oriented and clearly close, which extends graciously to the guests. They gave us the low-down on all the best places not to miss, including local planned events. We loved everyone there and had an unforgettable St Lucia first-time experience!
Villa Beach Cottages in St. Lucia was an absolute dream stay for our family, even while travelling with a toddler! The ocean view room was great—waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset from the property was unforgettable. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the island. The rooms were spotless, well maintained, and very comfortable, making us feel right at home. What truly stood out was the excellent staff: warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. We truly enjoyed our stay!
We had a great vacation! Very large room, clean and right in front of the beach. Staff is very friendly and Colin is a great host. We also visited their estate in the south of the island were they produce chocolate and farm delicious local fruit. We had such a good time that we extended one more night. Highly recommended.
My husband and I visited beautiful St Lucia for the first time last month to celebrate my 70th birthday. We spent the first eight nights of our trip at VBC, and it was truly everything we had hoped for and more. We were looking for a small, quiet, Lucian owned and operated alternative to the many big all inclusive resorts on the island. What a gem we found! Our accommodation, a standard King with sea view, was very clean and comfortable, and just steps from both the pool deck and the beach where we were often alone to enjoy a glass of wine and a romantic sunset. Restaurants and taxis are quite pricey, we found, so we enjoyed many of our meals on our private patio listening to the waves crash on the beach. The kitchen space in our unit was adequately equipped for preparing breakfasts, sandwiches, and light suppers. (Admittedly, I was a bit wary of using a gas stove and oven, so we kept it simple.) There’s a good take out sushi and stir fry place within walking distance, and supermarkets a short bus or taxi ride away. We enjoyed two of our dinners with our feet in the sand, a stone’s throw from the water, at their little open air restaurant, Coconut. (Adela’s pumpkin soup was definitely a highlight!) What impressed us even more than the peaceful beach front location, was the warmth and generosity of both management and staff. Front office, kitchen, housekeeping, drivers, everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. One day we came back from visiting Rodney Bay to find balloons, bubbly and birthday cake in our bedroom! At Villa Beach, we were made to feel like part of the family, and we really enjoyed getting to know such a lovely group of people. We hope to return some day soon…
This was our 3rd stay at VBC and it was AWESOME! This is a family owned and operated property and they make you feel like you are part of the family. The staff are excellent and so is the property. The beach is beautiful and so are the rooms. You are within easy access to everything you want to do in Saint Lucia. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants close by. We have so much fun staying here and can't wait to go back.
The staff treated us like family. My husband left his wedding band in the shower. The staff mailed it back by FedEx! Love Villa
We were initially attracted by the affordable rates and were also happy for their beautiful beachfront location that is very well kept up and maintained, super clean property, and relaxing ambiance with the soothing sounds of ocean waves. Rooms were spacious, well decorated, and we loved the balcony. There was a full sized kitchen in our room including refrigerator to keep all our drinks cold. Excellent service from Staff, always present, available, and quick to help with a genuine sincerity and feeling of warm local hospitality.
Wow! What a gem! What makes this place extra special are the people that work there! The view from Our deck was great! The food from Coconuts was delicious! My husband had an omelet each morning and we had jerk chicken 3 nights! Although the water wasn't flat as i would have hoped to snorkel, it was easy enough to take the kayaks out one morning! We took a chance and did NOT rent a car and thank goodness we used their drivers. We had the wonderful ladies book us snorkeling tours from Castries. We did the explorer and Sunset cruise. Both good but i think spending more time at Sugar Beach if you like snorkeling is the way to go! We had one of their drivers take us to the mud baths, pitons, waterfalls, hike, and stop for lunch. Definitely would have added Sugar beach to the day. One of the drivers took us to Pigeon Island to stay at beach, hike and go snorkeling. Fun! Dinner in Rodney Bay marina was awesome! The room and bed were great as was the kitchen! The bathroom needs to be updated. It was clean but needs new tiles and updates. Water was hot but pressure was not the best for our showers but we survived. Pool and chairs were great to relax before or after our travels. Overall if you don’t mind traveling to see the island, this is a wonderful place and the team that runs the place is SUPERB! Thanks for an awesome time and for surprising us with the decorations and champagne!
Villa Beach Cottages is my 'home away from home." From the moment I arrive until my departure the well-trained, friendly staff makes me feel at home. I enjoy the luxury of the rooms and also having the beach right at my doorstep. Villa Beach Cottages is exceptional in that it is quiet and safe. The staff gives individual attention as though I am the only guest at the Cottages. The cool 'local welcome drink' just sets the mood to relax. Without hesitation I recommend Villa Beach Cottages as THE place to relax and enjoy your stay. It just does not get any better.
Couldn't ask for better scenery or weather. Accommodations were top notch and literally a few steps from the beach. On site restaurant was very good, although meals took a bit to prepare from scratch. Staff was very knowledgeable about things to do at local sites and above all very friendly. Bottom line, stay at Villa Beach Cottages and you will not be disappointed. Going back again next year.
OMG!!! This hotel is heavenly, from the location, to the friendliness of the management team, to the sea view, to the cleanliness of the ambiance. Kitchen is well equipped, bathroom supplies are superb, cleaners coming every morning. You would definitely get value for your money. So quiet! The boss goes around in the morning to greet and meet with all guests, a very beautiful and friendly gentleman. This cottage is home away from home and we are storming this place with 6 members of the family in the coming months. I love this place!!! Dame Sandra Charles (PhD)
My hubby and I had a lovely holiday in St.Lucia. We stayed at The Villa Beach Cottages. A small but lovely group of cottages right on the beach. The cottage we stayed at was clean, spacious and you can literally hear the waves from your patio and see the ocean. The price was fair for what you get. The staff there was phenomenal. They were so accommodating, professional and kind. It’s conveniently located close to stores for groceries and restaurants but if you don’t want to leave the propert there is a restaurant on site that even does room service. We met the owner of the cottages, Colin who shared the history of St.Lucia and how the cottages came to be. Overall if you’re not looking for a crowded large resort this is the perfect spot! We will go again.
We have been staying at Villa Beach since 2003. It is clean, well maintained an as close to the beach one can hope for. Quiet if you mind is set on reading a book or just wanting to quiet the mind with the sounds of the sea, It will no disappoint. The Sunsets are spectacular as are the moon light views. We have also had a few family events at Villa Beach over the year. Staff is awesome, and more than willing to assist with you needs.
It was a really nice resort with great rooms and excellent food. We were only there a couple days but enjoyed the experience!!
Great place to stay. Waking up to the ocean right in front of you was incredible. Literally feet away. Food was home cooking and great. Staff helped us with setting up day trips. I can't wait to stay here again. Thank you staff for everything.
Just returned from a spectacular week stay at the Villa Beach Cottages. The villas were nicley decorated, clean and had everything you needed. Property is right on the beach and very private. The staff treated you like family and were extremely helpful on booking our drivers and excursions. As we arrived Colin Hunte gave us information on the history of Villa Beach Cottages and of the island. I highly recommend Claudius as your driver. Thank you again for nice relaxing stay at VBC. We definitely will return to Villa Beach Cottages.
We stayed 7 nights in this lovely and quaint resort nestled along Choc Bay with your own private beach. It's a very intimate cottage with all the necessities you need to feel right at home. Colin Hunte, the owner was a knowledge of information and told us the interesting history of the cottages and some stories of famous past regular guests. Colin's angels at the front desk were fantastic and very warm. A special shout out to Cherisa, Kenisha and Nicole and the rest of the staff. Their drivers Richie and Claudius were excellent and friendly. The only few things I would add to the rooms are a makeup mirror, slippers to go with your robes and complimentary daily bottles of water. Thanks again for the hospitality and would definitely come back to this hidden gem. 😍
great location, friendly owner and staff
Amazing view, beach, and family friendly. Staff were very helpful, we will definitely stay here again.
Amazing
I chose this place based on the good reviews and they were right. You are right by the water, it's comfortable and very convenient to Castries. There is a CrossFit gym within walking distance as well as a grocery store.
Everything fantastic. Big, clean room.
Excellent service. Great staff. Very friendly. Room was awesome.
The property was amazing, a complete gem nestled in Choc Bay. It is just as wonderful in person as in the photos and the staff are so welcoming, they really do treat you as one of the family. We stayed with our young family and it was perfect, with the sea right on our doorstep. You can really tell that they take pride in the property and enjoy ensuring all their guests have a wonderful stay. I would recommend Villa Beach Cottages 100% if you are looking for an island escape.
Everything was fabulous
Even before we arrived, the Villa Beach Cottages began the welcome process. They arranged airport transfers, allowed us to pre order groceries and dinner for our arrival day. The restaurant on site has a wonderful staff and delicious menu. They arrange taxi service if you don't want to rent a vehicle and have rental options if you want. There's a small convenience store, laundry, and library for guests. The suites are lovely. Sitting area, full eat in kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and some have a jacuzzi. You also have a private outdoor space. Steps from the Beach and 2 pools. There is also 24 hour security. The General Manager makes it a point to personally meet each guest and welcome them. He also sends a post visit email to reassure that you were completely satisfied with your stay. We're planning a second 2 week stay for 2026. This is a place to go for a complete rest, relaxation, rejuvenation vacation.
Great family based local business who personally welcome each of their guests and make them feel at home. Great leadership.
This place is a GEM.The cottage is adorable, clean, comfy and in a gated area. Room/ cottage / villa - Whatever you call it is on a beautiful PRIVATE beach. There is a restaurant on site with delicious food. The front desk girls were so helpful with recommendations on places to go. Customerservice was definitely top notch. BICETTE was my driver and super on point with pickup times and drop offs . He is a classy gentleman and very professional . MARY was my masseuse and had magical hands. I will absolutely be back !
Beautiful beachfront villas. Staff is amazing. Highly recommended staying here.
We stayed five nights in a one-bedroom cottage at the end of July and had a wonderful experience. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had a well-equipped kitchen. The pool was great, the view was stunning, and we really enjoyed having access to the kayaks. Parking was easy, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The owner shared a fascinating history of the property and his heritage, which added a personal touch. At his recommendation, we visited their sister property, La Dauphine Estate—it was definitely worth the trip. A few minor drawbacks: the living room furniture wasn’t very comfortable, the on-site restaurant had limited food options, and we would have loved access to boogie boards. Overall, though, a great stay!
What an island and what a place to stay! Villa Beach Cottages is one of the most pleasant places we've stayed - all-inclusive/its relatives are not our thing. We are looking for home base, which led us here. This was such an amazing find. The cottage was clean with a well stocked kitchen we took advantage of numerous times (Massy Supermarket is .5 miles south). We have zero complaints about the lovely room or its sufficient provisions. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Look at the pictures of the beach. This place is amazing because of its people. We like family owned places because they treat you like guests of the family and take care of anything you need. Set up a roundtrip taxi to Gros Piton the evening before? Done (if you need a taxi, ask them to get Claudius for you if he's available, he's awesome). Dinner reservations in a couple hours? Easy. Make it an hour earlier just because the kids are hungry? Yeah, they took care of that too. The best advice for doing local things the right way? Can't beat this front desk. We primarily dealt with Nicole and Shareesa (I am embarrassed that I might be doing a disservice to one or both spellings), but everyone we came across was wonderful - the kind of people you want to tell about your day. Adela, chef at the restaurant, is one of the sweetest people we've met. Her food is some of the savoriest we've had. Let's not forget Colin, the GM. A good soul with the gift of conversation. We'll be back!
Beautiful surroundings, lush greenery, friendly staff, great food. Room was clean and beautiful with a view of the beach. Love it I will definitely spend time there again on my next visit. Location is great, since it is not far from the George Charles Airport
Wonderful stay for our family! I would describe the rooms as comparable to a Residence Inn, but more cute, quaint and comfortable. We did not have a beach view, but were steps away from the beach. The property itself is off the main road, but there is security on site. The beach itself is beautiful, clean, quiet, borders Sandals on one side. There are two small pools on the property- one is very small, but neither was ever crowded. It felt like we had the beach to ourselves most of the time. Kayaks and paddle boards with life jackets were available for use. There is an on-site restaurant with decent food, but we preferred to eat out for dinner. Rodney Bay has lots of restaurants and is a $20 cab ride each way. The kitchen in the room was perfect to have snacks, breakfast and lunch for our family. Massey Grocery store is available right down the road. The hotel arranged for a taxi driver for us for our stay, and we were able to have the same driver the whole time, which was a nice personal touch. We had a great stay and it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We did Benny's Boat Tour that picked up from our beach one day, highly recommended for a full day of fun! While not a luxurious resort, it was perfect for a chill, relaxing stay with our children.
The entire staff was amazing and treated us like family. This was our first trip and it didn’t end the way we had hoped. The staff was so helpful and friendly and Christian! !
Amazing hosts. Amazing location. Noisy tree cross the only blight on our stay.
A few highlights: • The beachfront location couldn’t be more perfect. We felt like we had our own slice of St. Lucia right outside the door. • The cottage itself was spotless, spacious, and comfortably appointed. We especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and local artwork. • Colin, the owner, took extra time to run through island highlights and suggestions. The time was well spent as it gave us a plan to see as much as we could in the time we were there. His love for the island, its culture and the people is on full display during this conversation. • The staff was kind, discreet, and always helpful. There wasn't one person, comment or even look we could complain about. Wonderful people and they all seem to enjoy their jobs. • There is a kitchen and bar on site. While the kitchen is small, the service was good and food hit the spot. We also utilized the bar services during the day when we stayed on site or at night before we retired for the evening. The drinks and conversations were great. • Birthday celebration was wonderful. My wife's birthday was during the ten-day trip and the staff decorated the room with flowers, ballons and so forth. It made her day. But that's not all. My son wanted to do something special for his mom and the staff worked with him to schedule and awesome excursion. I am sure that is a day she will not forget. • When we return to the St Lucia for another visit, we will be staying at Villa Beach Cottages again.
This place is amazing, next to a quiet beach, very clean rooms, great beds..Small restaurant on site w many others nearby. Absolutely the best small resort I have ever seen. The beach is very quiet and the water shallow w no waves. The rooms overlooks the beach beyond the pool.
Wow! What a great place! I can highly recommend Villa Beach Cottages. The staff are so friendly and helpful - they booked all our adventures, made our restaurant reservations, answered all our questions. In short, they made our first-time visit so pleasant, we will stay here the next time we come. The on-site restaurant was a treat, the couples' massage was amazing, and the location! The beach right out your window. Out your door and onto the sand! They have kayaks to borrow - no charge. We rented our car through them as well, and they picked us up from the airport! We especially appreciated this as we were not used to driving on the opposite side of the road. They asked us after our visit for suggestions on how to improve, and I couldn't come up with anything. 5 stars. Definite return visit!
Nice, clean comfortable rooms with all the necessary amenities. On site business center and store for essentials. Staff is fantastic.
The location is great especially if you have a car or the folks at the lodge will set up a driver for you. The beach is steps away, the pool is clean and the grounds are well kept.
Such an amazing property!!!
I’m obsessed with this hotel it’s absolutely perfect! Perfect location between town and up north with beach front and pools! I would definitely recommend!
Beautiful property. Over-the- top friendly staff. They will make you feel like family quickly!
The property Sits on the beach, literally outside your door. The beach is clean & beautiful but u do have some vendors trying to get you to purchase which can become annoying. The property doesn’t have a bathroom on the main floor so you must go back To your cottage. The kitchen was very basic and with extremely kind staff.
I long to return to Villa Beach Cottage. The room was excellent, the dining was superb, the staff were like family. The location, the beach, the sunset... I can go on and on... but what I will do is; I will return soon to make sure I was not dreaming.
Picked Villa Beach Cottages for our first visit to St. Lucia based off of the reviews here & we were not disappointed. We had a one bedroom cottage for my daughter & myself and it was lovely. It was clean, with a full kitchen with everything you need & comfortable. Everyone at the cottages was pleasant, friendly & helpful. The office arranged transportation to & from the hotel/airport for a reasonable price. We also booked an all day land tour for $200 for 2 people which we thought was very reasonable as well. A driver will take you around the island to all the main tourist spots & attractions. They have a basic itinerary that they follow but the driver is happy to customize to your preferences. Our driver (Claudius) even arranged a reservation at Ladera resort/restaurant for our lunch. Amazing spot to relax, eat & gaze out at the Pitons. The cottages sit on a quiet beach next to Sandals. A few steps out your door and you are on the beach. I particularly liked this beach as there were no vendors trying to sell you trinkets. I understand that is how many people earn money but sometimes it is nice to just sit & relax. They have kayaks & paddleboards to use free of charge. I kayaked out to rock island. They offer grocery pickup for you if needed. We didn't really plan to cook as we weren't sure what to expect but in hind sight I wish we had picked up some things to have for breakfast etc. They do have a small food service on site that has a limited menu of things to order. Nothing spectacular but the ladies cooking the food were lovely. My daughter had garlic shrimp one night & she said it was very good. I would say the biggest downside is that you can not walk anywhere from the cottages. The road is way too busy & nothing close by. So if you want to go somewhere you need to hire a driver & for short trips it is a bit pricey & adds up. But on that note we had 3 different drivers during our stay & they were all wonderful.. Quick shout out to our driver Vaughn who was our favorite. I must admit I am a sucker for a British accent (American here). Vaughn was professional, friendly, helpful, a calm driver & so fun to chat with about all things St. Lucia & beyond. Final note we fell in love with the one eyed cat Patch who lives at the resort. My daughter desperately wanted to take her home :)
Loved everything about the property--on the beach/clean/quiet/beautiful landscape.Extremely helpful staff Could not ask for anything more and if I did I am sure they would try to provide it
My husband and I spent 10 fantastic days at Villa Beach Cottages. We totally fell in love with Saint Lucia and Villa Beach, both have so much to offer. Our room was amazing, very well equipped, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The terrace was only a few metres from the beach and it was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the sea. Villa Beach is in a great location to explore Saint Lucia which we found easy to navigate in our hire car. The staff at Villa Beach are so friendly and kind and will help you with all aspects of your holiday. Colin the Manager/owner is a very knowledgeable and fascinating gentleman who kindly informed us of Villa Beach's history and told us the best places to eat and visit. The food at Villa Beach is delicious and again the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergy. A fantastic relaxing stay, we will definitely return.
We spent 4 nights at VBC for an adult family trip to celebrate a milestone birthday. Attentive service from Colin and his entire team. Any request was never a problem and always met with a smile. Staff even surprised us with decorations and sparkling wine for my birthday! Pool and grounds are intimate in size but were really well maintained and never felt crowded. No problem getting a chair or umbrella; almost felt like a private stay! Nice beach and it was cleaner than the Sandals beach next door. Front desk will coordinate transfers using their dedicated driver team who were safe, reliable, informative and happy to stop for groceries or a Piton (for us, not them!) along the way. Shout-out to Claudius and Vaun. You will need to take a taxi for meals but Castries and Rodney Bay / Gros Islet are not far. Colin had great restaurant suggestions - our fave was The Naked Fisherman. This is not your cookie-cutter corporate resort. Go Local.
I love the private entrace off the beach it's was nice, but i didn't like the cats running around i think its belong to the restaurant I will be coming back with my family
Excellent and helpful staff. The beach and the pools are right outside your rooms!
I had a fantastic stay here for 2 nights, and I wish I could have stayed longer. The rooms were beautiful and well kept, opening up right onto the quiet beach. All the staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Would highly recommend.
Our recent stay at Villa Beach Cottages was delightful! Arrangements were made for our transportation from the airport, we were welcomed with a refreshing rum punch - the accommodations were perfect, cleanliness is clearly a priority of the host. Any operation is only as good as its staff - each and every one of our interactions were friendly, efficient and very hospitable. Suggestions were made for dinner and excursions and transportation arrangements were made - all flawless! Colin reiterated to us in his meet and greet that this is a family operation - his extended family is a remarkable team of women and men - VCB is a gem - we highly recommend a stay if visiting St. Lucia. Melanie & Alan (New York)
We stayed at Villa Beach Cottages with extended family to mark a milestone anniversary. The entire week was a delight. The units are clean and fresh, and very well furnished and the staff at all levels are warm and welcoming. The location right on the beach is just perfect. We were pleasantly surprised on our anniversary to find our room specially decorated. It really made the day even more special. We all look forward to visiting again in the future!
My wife and I booked a stay here for a single night before a week at Sandals Halcyon due to some travel shenanigans, and in retrospect I wish we’d booked the full week at Villa Beach. The cottages are very nice, the beach is lovely and exactly the same as Sandals Halcyon (literally adjacent to it), the service is great, and the food is *excellent*. Special shout-out to Chef Adella for the amazing omelet and jerk chicken. :)
Great Villa, the staff was very accommodating and the Villa is very well kept. It was very relaxing and the only restaurant on the premise served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, very good with great chefs. Tours can easily be scheduled, The beach was just a few feet from the cottages, but the sand terrain was not the best and the water was rough. Management was very personable and took time to greet every visitor. Would highly recommend if you are looking for relaxation. It was about 1hr and 20 minutes from the UVF airport.
the resort is amazing, rooms are perfect, views from entire resort are beautiful, CLEAN! restaurant is great! staff is wonderful. each room can be cozy and private. bed is comfortable, kitchen has everything you need! this location is privately owned and operated and they work hard to make sure all your needs are met. don't forget your pet away from home. he has been there for years.
What a beautiful little place! The Villas were the perfect spot for our vacation. Our Villa was so cute and had everything we needed for the week. They’re right on the beach and the views were amazing! The staff was so friendly and helpful and made was feel so welcome. We can’t say enough good things about our experience and are already planning on returning.
Amazing Staff
We stayed at Villa Beach Cottages during the Jazz Festival, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. Our room was clean and just a few steps from the beach, making it incredibly convenient. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the customer service was impeccable. My family and I will definitely return for another visit.
This beach villa was an absolute dream! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the ocean with panoramic views of the water from our room. The villa was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Not to mention the exceptional and friendly staff. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and spending evenings on the patio watching the sunset. The surrounding area is close enough to great restaurants and shops. Perfect for couples or families looking to unwind. We can’t wait to return—highly recommend this slice of paradise!
Fantastic views. The whole staff is fantastic, friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend. Quiet beach and pool area. The bedroom next to the balcony has fantastic ocean views. Listening to the waves crash in as you fall asleep is relaxing and calming.
Everyone was very very nice. We had an unforgettable time. We will be back.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Beach Cottages thanks to Colin and his very special team. They made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our stay. The Cottages sit right on the beach we spent many hours on our balcony sitting watching the world go by, and enjoying the noise of the waves breaking on the sand. There are plenty of sunbeds and the gardens are well kept. The team helped organise cars with the drivers that work for the Villa Beach Cottages, which enabled us to eat out every night, it was like having your own chauffeur. The team organised a number of trips and our stand out one was the Whale and Dolphin tour which was out of this world never seen so many Whales and Dolphins. Thank you and we would not hesitate to recommend.
We had a wonderful time at Villa Beach Cottages. Colin and the team are so helpful and lovely. Our room and being right on the beach made for a perfect trip. We like to eat out and the service provided by the drivers made it so easy, like having our own chauffeur.
I was greeted as family and felt at home immediately. The apartment was absolutely stunning and I had everything i needed. The service was amazing and I would have loved to stay longer! Beach so close is a bonus, very beautiful sunsets. That’s pool was great with peaceful waterfall.
Mr. Hunte and the Villa Beach Cottages Team, Thank you for your warm hospitality during our stay at your beautiful villa. We truly appreciate the kindness and attentiveness you and your staff showed us — it made our visit both comfortable and memorable. We were especially impressed by the high standards of cleanliness maintained throughout the rooms and the entire property. It did not go unnoticed and made a lasting impression. We would not hesitate to recommend Villa Beach Cottages to others, and we are already looking forward to the opportunity to return. Warmest regards. Natasha and Family. 5/20/2025
These people were great loved every minute there thank you.
I really enjoyed the stay here. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone and I will be back many many times in the future. Thank you all
I was thoroughly impressed with the service. Every employee I interacted with was quite pleasant. The room was exactly as pictured and was spotlessly clean. The location is convenient as there’s a bus stop outfront and tons of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and beaches close by. I highly recommend.
The employees was really nice
St Lucia is a beautiful country with great carribean scenery and kind people. Villa Beach Cottages was an excellent hotel situated on the scenic beach. The hotel looks impressive just as in the pictures and the staff is very nice, polite and helpful. The surroundings are clean and well maintained including the rooms, landscaping, beach facilities, swimming pools. There are other beaches around but we didn't feel a need to visit them as this beach which the hotel opens into is beautiful and big. If you want to relax for a whole day, this hotel is a perfect spot. Rooms are suites with kitchen with nice beds and nice furnishings. We were also glad we selected Castries over Soufrier. Castries has a good downtown with a lot of shopping and dining options. We were glad to find a couple of nice Indian restaurants. Will definitely choose this hotel if we revisit St Lucia.
We made the wise decision to stay at Villa Beach Cottages after researching lots of hotels in St. Lucia. Best decision ever! From the time we arrived, we were greeted with the most friendly, helpful staff. We met with the owner, Colin, who gave us a history of the island and provided helpful recommendations. We had the beach to ourselves. Room was spacious. It was an apartment! Views were AMAZING. It was sad to leave our home away from home, but we will definitely be repeat customers. THANKS VILLA BEACH COTTAGES STAFF!
We had such an incredible weeklong stay at Villa beach cottages and it truly felt like our home away from home. The staff there are so kind and attentive from the moment we arrived and were greeted with complementary rum punches (pictured) after being shown to our room. The property has a homey feel and over the week we grew to know most of the staff who were very professional yet friendly. The food at the on site restaurant was also delicious, great for when you don't want to venture out, but the workers at the front office were also very knowledgeable about the best places to see and go on the island and recommended some incredible restaurants for dinner, often securing us the best tables by the water. We were so relaxed during our stay since the staff arranged all our activities and outings for us too, giving us very personalized recommendations. The suites are very comfortable and the oceanfront view can't be beat--it also felt like a very private beach only shared with the Sandal's resort next door so it's very tranquil too and often times we were the only people in the water. Would definitely come back and highly recommend the villa beach cottages for a stay in Saint Lucia.
I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. Every blade of grass, every sun bed is in order. The best though is the location and the staff. Just fabulous
The Villas were beyond my expectations. Located right on the beach the Villas were centrally located for Rodney Bay and other attractions. The bar and restaurant there was really handy for breakfast and a late night drink. We loved staying there and were sad to leave.
We have travelled the Caribbean for many years but this is where we felt most comfortable. The reception, the staff and the dining were all superb. We enjoyed our own private cottage complete with everything we wanted. A fully functional kitchen, perfect WiFi (even on the grounds), living room area and air con in the bedroom. We had French doors to a private balcony and were only feet from the beach. Kenisa, Jada and all the staff, from reception to housekeeping and maintenance, we send a big thanks. You all made us fell welcome. To all that get to meet Colin enjoy his company he is a fountain of knowledge. Thanks Colin to you and your fantastic staff Driving was not an option for us so be prepared to taxi it wherever you wish to go, if you don't rent a car. The ladies at reception are more than happy to arrange your taxi Groceries are reasonably priced and there are grocery stores nearby. Maybe order a basic grocery ahead of time. Jada helped us out with that. The beach is 25ft from the cottage and there are plenty of chairs They do have home made meals that you can eat in a quaint resto or eat at your cottage BYOB they sell everything at the grocery Everything is clean and neat including the grounds, I was actually really impressed at how clean everything was. Quiet, relatively private Oh they provided us with a BBQ which was super clean and functioned like my home BB
Excellent service.
I won’t stay anywhere else. Every single staff member was competent and friendly. They arranged for anything you needed. This is a family owned boutique property and they do it right. The beach was lovely. Collin Hunte made the best recommendations and had the best stories. Fantastic vacation.
Villa Beach Cottages in a gem in the middle of paradise! The property on the beach is both beautiful and charming. Colin Hunt, the owner sat us down for a lovely chat and the. Mapped out sites and attractions for us based on our wish list. Kenosha at the front desk then mapped out our days pairing things in a way that maximized our time and enjoyment. She scheduled everything including our drivers! All we had to do was show up! The Island and its people were amazingly beautiful and provided one of our greatest vacation experiences ever! St. Lucia is a must vacation and the Villa Beach Cottages offer a quiet, low key respite on a beautiful beach! Highly recommended and thank you VBC for a wonderful and memorable vacation!
The Good ~ * The cottages have everything you need to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and very enjoyable. Fully equipped kitchen, big TV (if you want it), wonderful tiled patio with table and chairs, 2 pools, a small restaurant & bar, lounge chairs with cushions and umbrellas, free parking, and best of all it's right on a very nice beach. * The fact that it's family owned is reflected in how nicely the property is kept up. The grounds are manicured and clean. The units are spotless and tidy. * There's a mini-mart on the premises as well as laundry. The mini-mart came in very handy for us as driving to a supermarket is taking your life in your hands. * The office will make arrangements for tours, rental cars. I believe they even help with transportation from the international airport which is a 90-minute winding drive on the left side. * Villa Beach Cottages is so, so much better than staying at a large, impersonal all-inclusive resort. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to family and friends! The Bad ~ * The turn into the complex is a bit tricky as you're coming from a busy road. If you're driving yourself, use Google Maps so that you can be ready for it. The Ugly ~ * Nothing to put in this category:)
First time in over 30 years of vacationing utilizing Expedia that I am leaving a negative review. Well warranted though. Arrived as planned and property is well maintained, great staff and just off the water. HOWEVER, upon check in we learned our room was not a beachfront (not a huge issue), but not mentioned through Expedia. Instead, we were in a room 30 feet from a 4 lane major thoroughfare. The unregulated motorcycles with no exhausts, sirens, horns at all hours of the night not only meant no sitting out on the small deck, but also that we had to wear earplugs to even sleep! I wish I were kidding. The owner, while empathetic admitted that they were "aware of the noise issue" with our unit. I attempted to find another place to stay for the week, but all decent places were booked. Bottom line is this: I booked 3 months in advance. If there was a warning or mention of hiway noise (instead of ocean front as the pictures imply), I WOULD HAVE BOOKED ELSWHERE. Instead, and thousands of dollars later, we had a terrible stay due to a room that should be storage and not billed as a "beach cottage". Expedia, action needs to occur as this bookings descriptions were misleading. The owner offered to move us to a unit just below, but it was the same distance. They stated they would try to seal the door to the deck (off the master) as there was daylight showing around the entire door, but no repairs were made. For reference, I lived in downtown Houston, Dallas, metro DC. This was worse.
Overall love this property… located directly on the beach next to a sandals resort. Very quiet and layed back. The one thing I can say is it’s not safe to walk to the grocery store due to no sidewalks and busy highway. You will definitely need to drive or take a taxi. There really is not anything walkable due to this situation.
The property is very quiet and the overall size is perfect. The beach is beautiful anda nice size for the small amount of cottages. The one bedroom cottage was the perfect size with all of the kitchen equipment and cookware you would ever need. The staff is very kind and accommodating. They thoroughly clean the cottage every day. The on site restaurant is ok. A little pricey for dinner with small portions but the food is pretty good. The manager Colin meets with guest privately to give information on places to go and a little hisory about the property and the area. We really enjoyed meeting with him. I would definitely stay here again
Beauiful beachfront villas in a beautiful country with kind people. Nothing negative to say. The property is as good as it looks in the pictures. Right on a beautiful beach you can lounge on whole day. The rooms were nice, big and well constructed with upscale bed, furniture and kitchen. Shower in the bathroom could have been nicer. All staff including reception, restaurant, land maintenance, beach attendants was polite and helpful. Facilities are all well kept and look new. Landscaping is beautiful with flowers, trees and two swimming pools although the beach is the main attraction where you will enjoy the water and the sand. Food choices at restaurant are limited but decent. Castries downtown, Piegon island and Rodney Bay area are close by with a lot of dining and shopping options. Great place for couples as well as families. We were glad we chose Castries over Sofriere.
Perfect location for relaxation.
