The Mattress on the Bed too hard. Suggest get a more Comfortable Mattress. Mini Refrigerator need to be replaced, not cold enough. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s are go to hotel when we go up. First time getting to use pool/hot tub

They had emergency boiler service and that seemed to affect the hot water to room 204. Huge gap at bottom of door and that was effecting the AC in the room.

The hotel has some nice history and architecture here and there. Most of it is covered up or behind doors tho. It's a fine location but it's not super close to anything. There is a great witch themed coffee shop in town.

The AC broke while we were here and the beds and pillows were already kinda tired and flat so the sleeping was not amazin

No pull out sofa bed like most hotels, had to change room but was done free of charge, no microwave in room and couple things didn't work in the room (a light and DVD player), the cost of breakfast is too high (most hotels offer free breakfast), area around hotel isn't the greatest

The rooms need updating including the beds, the staff do not stop random people from coming off of the streets and using to pool area which resulted in a drug deal happening while we were using the pool. We were happy until we witnessed this and rushed out kids out of the pool area. I sent an email with no response from the general manager

We chanced on this hotel about 7 years ago on Priceline and have booked it through the hotel almost every year since then. It is consistently clean and has comfortable beds.

The Wellsworth Hotel was a perfect spot for our conference. The location was super convenient, the staff provided excellent service throughout the stay, and everything worked very well for a multi-day event. Comfortable, welcoming, and easy from start to finish. I would definitely recommend the Wellsworth for conferences, meetings, or group events.

I was there for a conference for MAAO course and was stay for a week. The service was superb in all areas from restaurant to the cleaning staff and the reception all of the staff provides great services.

One night stay. beautiful hotel! We arrived very early and were able to get in our room, which was great! Good sized room: Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room does have a mini fridge, tho no microwave. Pool tables, indoor basket court, and 2 racquetball courts. All free to use! Fitness center was amazing for a hotel! Tons of machines, free weights, and cardio machines. There is a restaurant and bar on site, which we did not visit. There were a couple negatives that prevented me from giving it an "excellent" rating: There is no coffee available in the lobby in the morning. You had to purchase it at the restaurant. (There WAS a coffee machine in the room that used Starbucks coffee). No water available in the lobby either, unless you purchased it (You could walk down to the gym and get water there). There was very little hot water for the morning shower. It was luke warm at best, and you had to hustle to get your shower done before it turned completely cold. These are minor issues, but for a hotel of this caliber, I would expect at least coffee in the lobby in the morning. NONE of these issues, however, would prevent us from staying again if we were in the area!!! Overall a very nice stay!!

I enjoyed exploring the historic American Optical Company headquarters area inside the building and the exterior. The clean, well-kept, comfortable rooms leave me wanting to stay here again when in the area. I did not have the opportunity to explore your outlets.

It is clean, comfortable, and close to where we need to be. We like that there is a restaurant at the hotel for when we just want a bite. The food is pretty good. I just wish there were more gluten and nightshade-free options.

The room we had this time was starting to look dated. There was wallpaper coming loose in the bathroom.

Absolutely, Wonderful Quiet Pl., Tuesday service was excellent. Very low-key top notch three star hotel did not eat there but highly Recommend Elm St., Hospital Café not ahospital. That’s just what they call it. Fabulous little breakfast place and probably lunch if you’re going, you have to eat there.

The place was pretty clean. The staff was very friendly.

There are no microwaves in the room. We figured out there is one near the vending machines, but you'd never know. There is no book in the room with any information about the hotel like hours for the pool, gym, etc. Not sure if the restaurant is full service, no information provided for that either. No breakfast. For the price I could've gotten a nicer room if I had more time to search.

No coffee in the morning. There was a coffee set up laid out in the lobby, but the containers were empty, which was disappointing.

Great location. Very nice building with interesting and prominent history. The staff were friendly. I didn’t use much of the facilities but I saw a well equipped gym and a pool. The room was spacious and had nice, solid wood furniture. Water pressure in the bathroom was very strong which was great.

Nothing that I didn’t like. Just wished that the little library was opened. There were signs for it but when we checked it out the door was locked.

The pool is amazing! The room is well appointed. The staff was helpful, friendly, and professional.

The mattress was average to lower than average, which surprised me. There was also a smell which could have been hard water or it could have been mustiness.

Coffee was not available in the lobby as mentioned at check in. When we inquired we were told it’s finished (it was 8:40 am) and no offer for a fresh pot was offered.

It was actually beautiful! The restaurant and service there was exceptional. All staff we encountered were so sweet and helpful.

The beds were not as comfortable as I’d like and the common areas certainly didn’t get vacuumed as they should.

This hotel exceeded every expectation from the moment I arrived. The staff was genuinely welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable, and every detail reflected exceptional service. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding experience.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was ok the service was slow almost felt like if you didn’t sit at the bar they didn’t acknowledge that you were there. Otherwise my stay was good, I’m glad they had vacancies for my last minute arrival.

I loved the historic side of the hotel and the litte plaques and displays around. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The cable TV was entertaining. I liked the functional fridge.

I wish I stayed longer! Which isn't anything wrong but I wish I spent more time.

Really nice historic hotel. High ceiling-ed spacious rooms in a massive converted historic brick building. Indoor pool, racquet ball courts and gym (although equipment needs some updating/refurbishing). Good restaurant for dinner, offering either inside lounge/pub atmosphere or outside patio. Very pleasant staff both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Stayed here several times over the years and always enjoy.

I specifically requested a quiet room…and I was put next to the elevator which was like sleeping next to grand central station. I was there to provide makeup and hair services for a bride and slept there because of a 7am start time…I ended up falling asleep around 4am… (multiple wedding attendees and guests were there and they were having a LOT of fun all night and obviously using the elevator) So they’d hang while waiting for the elevator and were beyond loud. After falling asleep at 4, I was woken up at 5:30 with hotel guests leaving for the day maybe for travel or whatnot…So I had to do a wedding on 1.5 hours of sleep and it was one of the worst days of my life. I don’t even know how I got through it. And I had to attend the wedding too!!! I felt sick, exhausted and was LIVID that I was put in a room surrounded by so much noise even after requesting quiet. A beautiful day turned into a day I tried to survive and could barely stand. After speaking with the person at the desk, sadly they couldn’t offer me a credit or any help. Instead they offered another room on the other side of the hotel and CHARGED me for it. The entire stay put a bad taste in my mouth…and I am going to dispute the charge. I probably won’t get anywhere doing that. I feel like a baby saying “I didn’t sleep well” but when you’re required to provide services and you’re there to work AND also enjoy a family wedding, it’s imperative that you sleep. And I PAID for the room and asked for quiet. So I should have been offered SOMETHING I think. But what do I know.

We stayed at the Wellsworth for my daughter's wedding. While the wedding wasn't at the facility we had a pre-wedding night get together and an after party in the lounge with lots of yummy food. The staff could not have been any nicer and accommodating. The courtyard area is so pretty and the propane fire pit was a great touch. I highly recommend!!!

The hotel is nestled in a more run-down area of Southbridge, but we never felt unsafe or anxious about the area. It just meant there weren't a lot of dining options outside the hotel that were easy to get to. The hotel is huge and provided a lot of space and amenities for my children to use during our road trip. It was great that they could swim, play at the billiards table, and run around the on-site gymnasium. The rooms are also very generously sized and provided great space for us to move around. The staff was friendly and accommodating anytime we needed anything as well. The hotel building itself is definitely older and feels a little run down in some areas, but the staff have done a good job at keeping it clean.

The pool and workout facility are great! We had a walk-in shower (not requested but OK) but the floor of the shower wasn't clean. Our room's refrigerator didn't work but it was replaced quickly. Our bed was comfortable and there wasn't a problem with road noise.

Clean, beautiful facilities. The hot tub was actually hot. Its in an old optical factory, so the exterior is very visually interesting. The interior is completely modern. The desk clerk at check in was incredibly friendly.

There's not much in the area around the hotel. Finding breakfast off-site was a challenge. Supposedly, the hotel offers breakfast for purchase, but we didn't go looking for it.

I have stayed at the Wellsworth with my church organization every year for several years. This time I was attending an event in Worcester for three days and originally planned to stay in a hotel there or a surrounding town, but the hotels were booked. I then thought of the Wellsworth and how much I had enjoyed it in the past. It was worth driving the extra 15 minutes back and forth to Worcester. In particular the breakfast buffet, which had always been wonderful, worked well for those of us staying there. I also loved that the heated pool is always actually heated and I can just walk in. My 3 friends enjoyed the pool too, especially after sitting at our event all day. The rooms were clean and spacious. There were two wedding parties there and we never heard a thing, so it was nice and quiet for a good night's rest. We'll definitely be back next year for the same event. I enjoyed showing my friends the historical pictures and the flood water markers too. It's a hotel and history museum in one. The Wellsworth has become a home away from home!

I liked the uniqueness of the hotel and the room was nicely situatuated. They prepared the extra bed and the food on site was great.

The pool didn't seem to be monitored well and the construction took away from the comfort of the visit.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times. Rooms are comfortable and a good size. Just a short drive from Sturbridge and everything that has to offer. Has many amenities including an indoor pool, gym restaurant and lounge.

Outstanding staff and management, great rates and bartenders/food. Family was visiting for graduation celebration and we will stay here again.
