Nature contact luxury and excellent service. Best for those appreciating peace. Unblocked true ocean views from the premium villas. The beach dawn and sunset colors are simply amazing. The food is another hi gf light. All of the food is top quality and made to order. Reasonable pricing.

Not the property’s fault: beware of sand flies when at the beach. Sneaky tiny little things. Other than that, truly a paradise and we will be back for sure!!

Es war fantastisch. Sehr ruhig und auch abgeschieden. Wir erhielten unverhofft ein Upgrade für den gleichen Preis in die große Villa mit eigenem Pool und Strandabschnitt. 3 Tage purer Luxus. Wir versuchten die Zeit anzuhalten, leider vergeblich. Das Frühstück war gut und gesund. Abends kann man mal dort essen oder man fährt mit dem eigenen Mietwagen 30min nach Cabarete. Danke euch beiden, Jasper und Alex.

Le Retreat est une expérience tout simplement merveilleuse. Le personnel, l'ambiance, la propreté, les logements, les repas. Tout est de haut niveau. Merci à Alex et les autres pour l'accueil, bon continuation à tous.

Die Unterkunft liegt idyllisch am Strand bei Las Canas. Wenn man die Unterkunft betritt, dann kann der Urlaub sofort beginnen: herzlicher Empfang vom Besitzer Alex und sein Team ♡ alle wirken sehr professionell! Er kümmert sich um ALLES SOFORT und lässt keine Wünsche offen! Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet und frisch vorbereitet. ♡ Wundervoller Blick auf den Strand und Pool. Leider hat es viel geregnet und das Meer war unruhig, aber dafür kann der Besitzer nichts!

Gar nichts. Wer aber gerne shoppen, in die Stadt oder in ein Restaurant gehen möchte, der braucht schon ein Auto, Moped oder Taxi.

The location, beach, meals, and staff stood out. The resort is not in a tourist area and is surrounded by private homes. The beach was basically completely private. During the week we were there, we had the beach to ourselves 80% of the time. When we didn’t, there was one other family. The included breakfast was a full meal, with eggs, meat, pancakes, toast, and fruit. The optional dinners were equally well prepared. The grounds were well kept, and the manager and his staff were first class.

The screens had some rips in them. The shower fixtures were a little dated. There was no microwave to pair with the fridge. None of these were big deals given the excellent value of this property.

La ubicación frente al mar, atardeceres y amaneceres espectaculares, el personal siempre atento, disponible, seres humanos dispuestos a colaborar. La comida muy bien preparada, incluye desayuno pero nos gusto tanto que decidimos almorzar también ahí. Nos recomendaron hacer la excursión a caballo y fue excelente. Las habitaciones super cómodas y acogedoras, en general todas las instalaciones excelentes!

En la madrugada me dio frío y las habitaciones solo tienen sábanas, no tienen para el frío, pero sólo eso, luego todo muy bien

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Aufenthalt war für uns sehr entspannend und wir haben die Lage, direkt am Meer, sehr genossen. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal stets sehr aufmerksam. Diese Unterkunft können wir auf jeden Fall wärmstens empfehlen.

Yasper went above and beyond as soon as we arrived to the property! We were upgraded being that it was the middle of the week and the country just went through a hurricane, so the whole experience and treatment truly felt like VIP for us. Yasper was extremely communicative all through out, the probably was absolutely beautiful and well kept. Service was exceptional and location was perfect. Will definitely recommend to everyone we know and it will be our destination spot next time we visit! It was an absolute beach retreat as the name suggest.

Qu on me fasse payer la chambre plus chère de 34 eur que ce qui était prévu sur booking . J'ai été débité sur mon compte de 87,07 euros et sur place on m'a demandé de réglé 67 euros. Le prix sur booking etait de 120 euros. J'ai dû payer en espèce car le sans contact ne prenait pas ma carte et quand l'hotelier l'a mis dans la machine ça n'a pas fonctionné selon cette personne. Alors que j'avais déjà fait des paiements dans ce pays.

Excellent customer service, great breakfast buffet, friendly and welcoming staff! This place is great for families that look to have more of a quiet space; no loud music, no heavy drinking, no partying. You would need to drive to neighboring towns —about 25 minutes— if you want to visit other restaurants and beaches. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service, Yasper and his staff are amazing, they accommodate you and make you feel like at home. Definitely, we want to go back, we were a group of 12 including kids, and the buffet option for dinner was a great plus!

Everything about it feels easy and authentic – no stress, no noise, just pure relaxation. Definitely recommend if you’re trying to slow down and reconnect with yourself or nature. Host Alex was very helpful, nice and supportive. I wish that every retreat has a host like him 👍💪Super tasty breakfasts and suppers. Delicious! Breakfast every day a little bit different 🙂 Very tidy, room cleaned every day and all towels have been changed daily as well. Stuff friendly, opened and smiling :) The view from the room unforgettable!

The place is amazingly beautiful, very quiet and clean. The staff is excellent and professional.

Rooms have no TV, the restaurant does not offer meals or dinners, and the price is really expensive for one night.

Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help you, especially Jasper. Breakfast was very good. Beds very comfortable. We had a beautiful view from our room. We will stay at this hotel again.

It was a little bit far from other places. If you want to have a other nice restaurant or other activities you would have to take a taxi a car. Nothing is around the hotel.

I loved everything

Tucked away far from the hustle and bustle The Las Canas beach resort is a true gem. The location is unbeatable- with only a few houses and villas nearby, save for the occasional fisherman or friendly dog, the hotel essentially has a private beach. And what a beach it is it! The views are incredible, and the water was more than warm enough for swimming/surfing even in January. Far enough from any large urban areas, with the lack of light pollution the night sky here is also incredible. A short walk along the beach away from the lights of the hotel the Milky Way is visible with the naked eye. Being close-ish to The Equator also means a wide range of astronomical targets are available and the planets rise high in the sky, very glad I brought my travel telescope along for a closer look at Mars and Jupiter! While there is plenty to do nearby (even if you don't have a car- we took the local bus to Caberete, this was perfectly safe at a very agreeable fare) we spent 10 out of our 11 days simply relaxing at the hotel, such a paradise it is. The staff at Las Canas are second to none, always going the extra mile to help us out. Yasper, Renate, Alex and Ariel were fantastic just to mention a few. If you want any extras, such as excursions or massages, this can be arranged for you. All staff were very friendly and we will miss all of them. The food is delicious, the kitchen team are clearly highly experienced and cooked up a number of various dishes during our stay. Among the highlights was the varied and generous breakfast every day. There is also a full bar available, the Fontera Chilean caberet complemented many of the chef's dishes very well. In the unlikely event you get peckish between meals, 100m from the entrance to the hotel is a local shop with a good selection of snacks. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated and are of very high quality. Soundproofing is excellent, we had a family above us and didn't hear a peep.

The experience we received in Las Canas was amazing to say the least. From the newly renovated place which was simply exquisite and was exactly what we were looking for but also to the service from everyone there. They really made us feel special and quite at home. The breakfast was amazing and the different activities that were advised to us was just perfect for our stay. I am most definitely coming back to las canas on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone searching for: a comfortable and an amazing experience.
