Stayed here many times, always a friendly vibe and it's a great place to stay.
On this occasion the service at the bar was very slow and also the food service.
Quiet, a pleasant 15 minute walking distance to town.
May need some updating but very clean!
Excellent value, great quality
On arrival was no hot water. I was never warned beforehand; there was no hot water early in the morning either.
Location good. Bed comfortable. Good parking. Breakfast adequate.
Could do with uplift. Quite dated.
Space, location, parking, view. Reception staff friendly and professional. Breakfast staff excellent. Very quiet room. Thankyou
Swimming pool closed. Such an asset. Bar/ waiter staff young, inexperienced and inattentive. Basic training required.
Excellent choice
Spacious foyer Good location
Long corridors to bedrooms A little hard to change room when we said the original one was too noisy as it was near the hotel laundry. We were about not being able to sleep.
Property was clean and had beautiful views of the sea
Schönes Hotel auf unserer Motorradtour wild atlantic way, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, zentrale Lage
The staff were helpful, the room was clean tidy and well appointed, with hairdryer, iron & ironing board, coat hangers, hand wash & shower gel, plenty of towels, TV with limited stations….good WiFi, CCTV on the car park, good bar onsite, great breakfast that for an additional £5 each you can have the breakfast delivered to your room.
All good no complaints..
Tutto molto bello: posizione, camere e vista.
Nulla
Goede parkeerplek voor onze motoren, mooie locatie, goed eten.
We hadden een 3 persoons kamer met maar 1 stoel iets van een min puntje
Staff were outstanding.
Food was good staff was friendly
Pool was closed on sunday, Room wasn't clean Hairs in bath Fake nails found in bin under bag when I was removing in. Hairs and heavy dust on the carpet Room was very warm no way to control heating Very disappointed
Friendly staff, Good food even though it was very busy. Clean room comfortable bed
Could do with a fan in the room during hot weather
Staff was superb extremely friendly and helpful , breakfast was excellent
Fab food fab staff fab hotel
I have written to the GM twice to give the person an opportunity to reply to all the issues we had. But they have never acknowledged my email so I now am putting uo the email I sent
Dear General Manager, (So sorry I cant find your Name and I get no reply when I call to ask) I am writing regarding our recent stay at your hotel, Monday Aug 10th which I booked some time ago through Booking.com at a cost of €171. I chose your hotel specifically because it was advertised as a spa and leisure hotel. As my partner is disabled, having leisure facilities at the hotel was particularly important to us. I did contact the hotel on the day of our stay and was advised that there was a tidal pool a couple of kilometres away. Unfortunately, this was not really a suitable alternative for my partner, but we were still very much looking forward to our stay. Sadly, the experience fell considerably short of what we had expected. When we arrived, I went to reception to check in. The receptionist was busy typing and did not acknowledge me, so I eventually had to ask to be checked in. I was told, rather abruptly, “I will in a minute, I am busy.” I completely understand that staff can be under pressure, but a simple acknowledgement and a polite indication that someone would be with us shortly would have made a big difference. When we reached our room, we noticed there was only one sachet of coffee. We also requested a jug of water. We were told that the staff were very busy and that it would take approximately 30 minutes. After an hour, we rang reception again, but there was no answer. We called three times without success. I eventually had to ring from my mobile and leave a message on the answering machine. The receptionist subsequently explained that she had been unable to answer because she was busy checking in guests. We eventually received the water and coffee approximately one hour and 45 minutes after our initial request. Unfortunately, there were a few other issues. The bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable and, in my opinion, the mattress is in need of replacement. The following morning, I realised that I had forgotten to bring my shampoo.
The location is really beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and gluten free options were available.
Although it was comfortable the room badly needs a coat of paint and a bathroom makeover. It would be nice if the pool could re-open. I would still stay there again.
Nice hotel, clean very reasonably, good location
Myself and my partner had been recommended this hotel by countless friends and family. Their reviews were glowing about both food and service, hence we booked our stay. The deal we got was too good to pass up on. With stunning views of the bay, on-site parking which other hotels in the town do not offer, and all you could need within walking distance, it seemed like the perfect hotel.
The reception staff on any interaction during our stay did not seem enthusiastic or attentive. Conversations were short and flat, it gave the impression that staff were more interested in the computers on their desk rather than ensuring a warm welcome or farewell. The room was nice, however decor throughout the hotel and room was dated. For a popular hotel such as the Broadhaven, I was expecting a bit more modern decoration (although I am aware is not the biggest issue to have with our stay). The bathroom was basic. Toilet so close to the wall it was laughable, early 2000s yellow lighting, bath-shower with shower head probably older than myself and less water pressure than I have seen coming from a leaky hose. Dinner. We went down to the bar for dinner and as we are used to in most food establishments, even small cafès in our locality, we waited to be seated. Nobody came up to us at all so I asked the barman if we were to sit ourselves to which he replied that was fine. The waitress did bring us our menus and took drink orders and meal orders, we thought this was when we would experience the impeccable service and food that we had heard so much about. Unfortunately not. The food was ok. Nothing I would write home about. We spent more time waiting for our food and then waiting with empty starter and main plates when we did eventually receive and finish our meals while we witnessed waitresses congregating and chatting at a desk on the other side of the room. Now as we were on holidays we were absolutely in no rush, but there comes a point after 20 minutes following your main meal when you have the chance to notice that you hadn’t been asked during the entirety of the meal ‘how is everything?’ or ‘can we get you anything else?’. It may seem like small details to some but as a couple with past hospitality and a current customer service experience, it was a detail that both myself and my partner could not see past.
Everything about this hotel
Loved every minute
I liked the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. Really like the views. Good place to stay.
I had a broken kettle which I was disappointed but I got it replaced with a new one. Also I woke up by people talking which was ok.
Very clean good facilities
Very well organised and cared for hotel. It’s classed as 3* but much better than some 4* hotels I’ve stayed in lately. It is clean, the rooms are a good size and although the style is a little outdated it’s comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient. It was extremely busy, particularly in the large dining room and bar but all went well without drama.
nothing.
Location, overlooking the sea.Welcoming check in..Cleanliness of rooms.Expert, professional staff in breakfast room.
Would have liked bottled water to drink,in the bedroom along with showercap in the bathroom.
Fire alarm going off at 20 past 3 at night
Personeel vriendelijk Goede bedden Goede hygiene
Brandalarm ging snachts twee keer af, slecht geslapen
Room & breakfast
TV not working, little expensive
Location
Was supposed to have a room view, but no note on was the booking 😡
It had a car park, grounds were kept well
Food was disgusting, tv was not working, reported to reception 3 times and it was on ly fixed on our last night of stay, some staff rude especially the night porter 'John' on Wed 12th August, had to wait out in rain for 10-20 mins while the night porter answered front door to let 15-20 people in, When challenged the night porter's attitude was disgusting, let everybody in without checking if they were residents, no security measures for safety, i have stayed atvthis hotel a number of times a year for the last 15 years or so and zero maintenance appears to take place, would not recommend this hotel anymore
Dinner was ok on first night
Uncomfortable bed Terrible quality breakfast, eggs not replenished, only rock hard fried eggs, poor quality fruit bowl, very dissatisfied overall with breakfast. Terrible shower, no pressure, more a dribble. Extremely noisy car at about 6 both mornings 😡, not a great location
Excellent
By and large Very Little
Staff friendly, room clean, lots of hot water. On asking at check in, got a good handout on walks, locations to visit in a very scenic hinterland.
Hot breakfast food a bit tired, needs more frequent attention. Bar menu too large, more like dining room menu in bar setting. Menu items at Dublin price level. There seems to be a leisure centre but it seems to have been closed. No reductions for this and no reference to the leisure centre at check in.
Room was big, food was nice, staff were very friendly, shower was great, there was plenty of tea/coffee in room. Location was fine - a short walk from the town. All good
A vending machine with a few snacks etc would have been useful - but apart from that I cant think of anything else. A few USB sockets would be nice too.
All good, we had the dinner it was lovely, breakfast was well put together.
171€ für ein überfülltes Hotel ohne besonderen Service.
Zu voll. Laut.
Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast. We found the hotel reasonably priced and it was a comfortable place to stay after a day of cycling.
Bike storage could be improved. Our bikes were stored in a stairwell which had a reasonable amount of passing foot traffic, rather than in a dedicated secure bike storage area.
Food at wedding was outstanding, as good if not better than any wedding food ive ever had. Staff at overall were very friendly and good at looking after their guests
Room smelled of smoke & had cigarette burn in curtains. Safe didnt work and swung open at eye level. Bed was quite springy and uncomfortable. We had asked for one room in our booking to have a walk in shower as one guest has mobility issues, it was promised, but didnt happen. Breakfast was very basic, limited choice. Overall, id recommed as a wedding guest, but not as a comfortable getaway break
The fact that the swimming pool was still closed
The hotel is close to the town and has a nice view over the bay.
Our room stunk, it smelt like an old gym towel left in a bag for weeks on end. My guess is they cleaned the carpet weeks before but never dried it properly. I complained and was offered a disabled room which I obviously refused so as not to put someone who needed it in a difficult position. I should have been offered a discount or money back. My stomach was turning the entire time there, and I grew up on a sheep farm. Avoid room 220 if you're assigned it.
Lovely staff and hotel. Very happy with our stay.
Staff
food and service very good as always
nothing to complain about
Breakfast was very good. Hospitality was excellent.
A little worn in places.
As always staff, food and hotel excellent. Staff welcoming and very helpful.

Staff were very nice, good location
Quivj tet away
Nice location with a view on the bay.
Swimming pool was closed for refurbishment, in July, summer holiday season. Very clean but smells of chlorine.
Location and staff helped
Hotel badly need updating/refurbishment. Out dated decor and bedrooms are not up to standard. Not good value for the money.
Ristorazione buona e staff cordiale
Materassi non all'altezza della struttura.. scomodi
staff couldn't have been more helpful, beds were super comfy, plenty of parking, location was outstanding and food in the lounge was very good.
Breakfast wasn't the best, some things were overcooked, but there was plenty and it was topped up regularly, decor was slightly dated but it didn't affect our stay. There was no safe in our room as advertised and no Aircon which is pretty standard in most hotels these days, normally wouldn't be a problem but we stayed in the middle of a heat wave. The view from our window was a brick wall which again wouldn't normally bother me too much but this hotel overlooks the most stunning view so that was a bit disappointing. The very late check in time of 4pm could have be a problem for some, especially if you've travelled on an early flight. all that being said I would still recommend and happily stay again.
